Tucked in a valley between the Purcell and Selkirk Mountains, this straightforward hotel along the Crowsnest Highway is 10 km from the Creston Valley Wildlife Management Area.Warm rooms come with free Wi-Fi and flat-screen TVs, as well as microwaves, minifridges and coffeemakers. Upgraded rooms have pull-out sofas. Suites add separate living spaces and/or whirlpool tubs. Kids stay at no charge in a parent's room.Parking and a breakfast buffet are complimentary. Amenities include a grill restaurant/bar, as well as a fitness centre. There's also a pantry, computers for guest use and a coin-operated laundry.
Only giving a second star because the staff is very friendly but we had surprise charges after booking online and didnt get the room we thought we booked. Not happy.
A great place to stay in Creston. Check-in was quick and the front desk staff was extremely friendly, helpful, and informative. She took the time to explain the Creston time zone situation. The lobby is spacious. There are laundry facilities on site and a business center close to the front desk. The room was clean and spacious. I will definitely stay there when I go back to Creston.
Only a thin blanket on the sagging bed bed and no extra ones provided. Dirty carpets, room smelled musty. Broken coffee maker and paper cups, no wine glasses in wine tour country! We don’t mind paying top dollar and usually are pleased to do so in a Wyndham property. Not here, our entire experience was disappointing.
Very clean, comfy bed, TWO easy chairs plus the desk chair! Smoke detector was beeping young gentleman came quickly, fixed the problem. He was apologetic, humorous, and intelligent.
Room gets a 2/5 for cleanliness. Sheets and bedding seemed clean, but hair was found on the shower wall, they hadnt emptied the garbage in closet, tile had a sticky smear on it and my son found garbage under the bed. We stayed 2 nights and there was no room service provided that second day. However my biggest complaint is being awoken both mornings at 6:30 to a HELIPCOPTER taking off beside the hotel. I was told by a local it belongs to the owner of the hotel. It was incredibly loud and I found it very disrespectful to the guests paying to stay there. Also, is it even legal to park a helicopter and take off and land throughout the day in a parking lot???
Beautiful room but Im pretty sure that was smaller than a queen size bed I was charged for. Breakfast had a variety of choices.
Front desk needs to use common sense when checking guests in.My husband and I showed up to check in at 4:30 PM…on my birthday. The older front desk woman was incapable of checking us in with our credit card and apparently unwilling to ask her manager for help. Instead she kept asking us if we had another credit card to use. She admitted that we weren’t the first people that she had trouble checking in, but never let us know if they actually got a room or not. She never offered to take cash or debit to get us into our room. She would just swipe our credit card and say it wasn’t working. When I finally got frustrated with her lack of concern, we left and headed onto Lethbridge since there were no rooms available until there, probably due to all the construction workers needing rooms. While we were driving away the manager sent my husband an email saying that they would hold the room for 48 hours and we could return with a “valid” CC. That put me over the edge since we have only ever had a “valid” CC!We checked into the Wyngate by Wyndham at 11:30 PM without any issues. It maddens me since we have stayed at the Creston Ramada in the past and enjoyed it…now it’s just going to remind me of being stuck in a car for 5 hours on my Birthday…and not getting to enjoy a much needed relaxing evening.
A good place to stay if youre in Creston. The room was very clean and comfortable. Our room was spacious and the bathroom was clean. My hubby made coffee in the morning but I went down to the breakfast room. The food was pretty good, there was a good selection and the staff was friendly. No pool and a bit expensive for a place to sleep for one night with breakfast.
Very friendly and helpful front desk manager. Modern and neat looking property. Rooms clean and comfortable. Recommend.
Sticky urine in several areas of the bathroom. Brown substance on the wall.First attempt to clean it:unfortunately staff member left most of it uncleaned.Second call: to let staff member know it was still unclean. It was late, we told her to come early in the morning. No one showed up.Third call: manager said she would send help. It was still unclean when we checked out at 11am.Lack of courtesy, lack of care, lack of professionalism on behalf of the manager.Next check-in: she gave us the key to an occupied room and we walked in on people in bed. Very embarrassing for all.
It was nice ,clean, quiet except for 1 train. The staff was great. Free breakfast. The waffles were great. No table to sit at made it hard to bring home takeout.
