Rāma - Vegetarian restaurant in Jūrmala, Latvia
Tasty and friendly service.Bit expensive to my opinion, but food is done very well.Atmosphere like in bistro, good option for quick quality lunch.
Absolute heaven for vegetarians 😎😎 and very hospitable staff and lovely ambience and food at affordable rates
Top Satvik karma free food in town. Plenty of options and mouth watering desert options available. Some dishes sells in pieces and some with weight. Overall you will for sure have something that suits your taste bud. Many options and varieties of dishes available. There is a temple too inside the premises, where you can have darshan of Lord Gaura Nitai. The shop attached to the place sells wide verity of items including ayurvedic medicines, puja (worshipitems, and many Indian products too. The devotees are quiet welcoming too. There are few good temple programs also goes on at this place.
Very delicious vegetarian and vegan options. I would definitely recommend going here.
Food was delicious, although a bit overpriced. Definitely a place where to take your vegan friends or enjoy vegetarian dishes. 🥦Side note. Its like a vegetarian bistro where final price can be higher than you expected.
It is very affordable and you get quite a lot of food for very less price. The price is based on amount of food and the weight of it.I wouldnt call the food Indian.. its a version of Indian food.It is average.. based on what food you choose the taste may vary. If you are on a budget and want some good food, this is a good option.
excellent healthy vegan and vegetarian food in Riga Latvia 🇱🇻🥗🌱
Ive been coming here for years. I have a few things on the menu that I like and the food feels healthy and satisfying to my body, (although it is latvianized version of Indian cuisine - please adjust your expectations). Prices are good. I like the calm atmosphere on the 2nd floor. I appreciate that they also have some social offers for people in need. Thank you for all this! :)I just cant understand why the service is always so unpleasant? It feels like they are suppressing they anger and are deeply unsatisfied or tired and frustrated every time. Maybe some adjustments could be done to help them enjoy their job more? All the best!
Im very puzzled by all the positive comments. All our dishes were cold. It wasnt even semi warm. If I felt that the dishes have potential to be tasty, I would asked to warm up but the taste was blunt and none of the many dishes tasted good. It just cant be that the chef had a bad day. The place overall looks kinda dodgy and smells funky. IDK, we went coz reviews and left disappointed and hungry.
Thats what I need daily! Delicious!!! 💟
Nice choice of vegetarian and vegan dishes. A little on the costly side for vegetables but I really enjoy most of the food. I really like the curry because it is on the spicer side.
Very delicious vegan Indian food. A plate meal costed me just 6€. ISKCON restaurants are the best
***** Final decision: Definitely Recommended !! *******This is NOT a conventional restaurant, so keep that in mind when you go there. They sell food by weight, so be careful when you choose and buy.Coming to the food itself, this is NOT Indian food. It is a version of Indian food prepared by Europeans for European taste. So the food may taste a bit bland at times. However rest-assured the quality of the food is good and healthy and unlike the other so called Indian restaurants in town, this place will NEVER sell you stale food. The ladies behind the counter are very nice and warm, although they do not seem to speak English.Coming from the land of Lord Jagannath, I would have loved to see some Dalma and saga-bhaja (HIS favoritebut alas I could not find it. I actually wanted to tell the aunty that but language was a major problem. But I did get some good sandesh sweets !I will not talk about the prices, many others have already done that. :)***** Final decision: Definitely Recommended !! *******
Amazing, next time I will bring a bottle for Lasi
A great variety of tasty food for low price
The food is good and very affordable but the staff is often rude and unfriendly. They feel annoyed if you ask any questions.
Totally business! Fake indian food. Behaviour of lady in restaurants are not friendly.
friendly and happy people serve you nice vegetarian food for reasonable price
had some rice and some mushroom thing and some snacks. was pleasant experience and at a good price. highly recommend the lassi
Good and very tasty vegetarian food, for me it was surprise that soy can finally taste good :), also food was very reasonably priced. Great place if you are on the budget.
Exclusively vegetarian cuisine - no egg, no meat, no fish, no garlic, no onion !! Amazing taste and served with so much love 👍
Horribly disgusting food! The sabzi was poured in oil which is so unhealthy and deleterious to health! The rice was either fried in oil or ghee but it tasted pathetic, also the rice wasnt fresh I suspected. So many drunk Russians outside the restaurant that harras the customers especially if you arent white. The server at the restaurant was either way too rude or racist, who knows but I surely didnt have a pleasant experience in there. Not gonna visit or recommend this terrible restaurant. One more drawback is that payment by card is not accepted here, better keep cash with you and be ready to not get any receipt either.
My fav veg place. Delicious food. My favourite dessert here is pancakes with condensed milk and coconut filling...putty that getting sold out early..yummy....
Very nice, cozy place. Delicious food!
This dish only cost me 6:50€. Let that sink in. If you are vegetarian, vegan or on a budget, Rāma is your place. I also liked the Indian/Ayurvedic atmosphere, plus depending on the time and your temperament, you can find a table where you can intimately enjoy your meal.
This is my favourite vegetarian place in Riga and I have been going there since 2000. The place inspired me to become a vegetarian and I have never regretted the decision to quit meat. Even if you are a meat eater you will like the food here, it’s delicious! And try their desserts!
Good food, loads of options and lots of vegetable based dishes. Only downside the people in the restaurant were not friendly. Besides I went there during lunch hour but could not see any banner detailing the lunch menu. When I was already done ordering, I could see at the inner corner of the restaurant a lunch menu with thali options. Had I known before I would have opted for that.
this is a story about their kitchen. first time here, just gave a try. did eat kinda breakfast. green ajurveda energy tea and lcoconut filled pancake made by local cook. wife`s choice was kichari. pancake and tea - really good. imo, all local cuisines - nepalese, chinese, chrisna etc or vietnamese - should be prepared by locals. china food by chinese and so on. she said it does not matter, if food is cooked with love and good attention (or without bad thoughts). that`s where we disagreed. a bit later she started to complain about dizziness. seems like it was my first and last visit here
One of the best shop organizing by followers of Lord Krishna in Riga,Latvia. And one of the proof of connecting to India.
Great veg food options!! Reminds of Loving Hut.Prices are not low for the student bistro that it looks/feels like. But Not super high either. A meal will be like 5-6€
A Daisy blooming in a desert is worth more than a Rose blossoming in a rainforest. Similarly What gives me the most hope every day is Food {Lords Grace}; knowing that his grace is going to give me the (foodstrength for whatever I face, knowing that nothing is a surprise to Lord." Best dozens of Vegetarians Verity with Indian touch & Good Lunch !!! 😉 😋
Their manu can be very delicious (depending the day). Visited there twice and always their WC was without handsoap. Last time (few months agotheir WC was disgusting dirty but this time it wasnt so. They should pay more attention to hygenie.
When I first visited this place, I had a glimpse of inspiration while eating delicate food. The desserts have mesmerising taste and the atmosphere is insightful. I would recommend this place to people that love eating light food that is pure and wont damage their stomach. Moreover, the restaurant offers quite a lot of types of tea, the one tea will treat you better, the second will sensually affect you...
Great place for vegetarians, they have vegan sweets and main meals. Also part of money goes for feeding homeless people in Riga, so by going there you help others!
Always very tasty and nice people
Good place for vegetarians but prices could be little lower. There is also shop with some Indian stuff (huge choice of incense and spices).
The best vegetarian place in Baltics. Prices are decent and quality of food outstanding. Everyone should eat there. :D
Vegetarian Vedic food. Nice!
Probably the only full fledged veg restaurant you can find in Riga, loaded with almost all the popular indian dishes. I wouldnt say the quality & taste as good, but still not bad. Price is reasonable though. Theres a shop next to the entrance of the restaurant where you may find rare indian food products which arent available everywhere.
To be honest they serve really tasty food (I hadnt expected). A lot of different dishes: for vegans, for meateaters etc. Also you could grab a piece of cake and eat the cake with a cup of delishes tea. I could recommend this place to whom, who would like to taste something different or unusual.
I never tasted food so good for so little money. I had rice, three curries and filtered water all for 2.60 eur. And everything was so delicious.
Best place in Rīga to eat if you are in vegetarian or vegan. They have all kinds of food, dessert etc. Plus you have chance to donate. I liked, generous idea behind this eating place.
This vegeterian(has LOTS of vegan optionscafeteria is really what dreams are made of. The food is incredibly good and as incredibly cheap. As you go in, the staff get a tray for your food that might resemble one that prisoners in jail eat off of but do not fear, the food is full of flavour and it feels like theres this peaceful but fun party going on in your mouth. The staff person asks you what youd like and you just point a finger to what looks good to you or read the names of the foods off of the little cards infront of you. If you come here, definitely try the vegetable meatball-it is truly amazing. The furniture is old fashioned and the whole place isnt fancy but I was told thats just them being loyal to their philosphy of not paying attention to material things, which I definitely agree with in this case, since the food causes an incredible amount of excitement every time I go there for a meal. There is also a little shop in the Hare Krishna centre where you can purchase incense, grains and plenty of different things for a reasonable price.
Enjoyed it very much. Wide selection of delicious vegetarian dishes. probably one of the best weve visited so far
The food is delicious, but not that cheap as many think. (The price is given for 100 g of product, so when you take a portion you usually get it doubled at least. Also, the furniture and interior are very plain, its hardly a place to spend time, more like a diner to eat and go.
Great choice of vegan and vegetarian food. Reasonably priced. Mixed of western and indian dishes. You can go back there and eat something different all the time. They also have vegan cakes and dessert.
The best place to have a warm vegetarian food in Riga. The have also a happy hour after 20:30 till 21:30. The cost of all food except sweets is two times smaller.
Only vegetarian foods, mainly based on Indian recipes but improvised by applying reduced amount of spices and chili pepper to suit specifically the European taste buds. This is the only restaurant and cafe in Riga where one can get pure vegetarian and vegan foods. Good quality and served warm. Sufficient choice of salads and varieties of sweets are also available.
Good food and drink selection. Delicious and fast. Moderate prices.
Good food at very reasonable prices. All the food is pure vegetarian (no eggsand there are quite a few vegan dishes too.Staff spoke enough English to explain what the dishes were as all of the descriptions were in Latvian.Plenty of seating upstairs.
