Rajpoot Restaurant in Bradford

First time visit with a friend. We ordered a Maharaja Jhinga, chicken and prawn balti, paneer daal with garlic naan and chapattis. The dishes were all brought out together and in a reasonable time, the curries were very good with plenty of protein in them. The breads were very soft and fresh, the garlic naan had LOTS of garlic which was smoked and gave a very nice taste to the bread. The bill total was £31 with 1 glass of lassi. Definitely recommend here as its much much better value than the other curry houses in the local Shipley centre vicinity. Will visit again.

It has been roughly 35 years ago since my husband and I have eaten from here. The menu was very carefully explained. I explained I did not like very hot, spicy food. I was also told that any dish could be ordered to my tastes. My husband ordered Chicken Tikka Madras with chippatis, whilst I ordered a chefs speciality with a side order of potatoes and cheese with rice. Brilliant customer service, could not fault the staff at all. The food, well, that was superb, it was extremely tasty, well cooked. Hubby says his food was nice and spicy. We both had mango lassi to drink. It would appear that the lassi is home made, which, I would say, is the best lassi I have ever had. Everything was beautifully cooked. We will definitely be coming back. Absolutely beautiful. The price was reasonable which is a huge bonus in these hard times.

Less than one star, a mediocre meal but more importantly the service and attitude of the middle aged waiter can only be discribed as dire!! Youre in the wrong job, you almost threw the food at every table I watched as you rolled your eyes and grunted at every customer. Never again, the young man who was new to serving was delightful hope he doesnt pick up the bad habits.

An amazing hidden gem! I have personally frequented this restaurant for 20+ years and can guarantee that it provides the best curry around. If you would like an AMAZING meal and some FANTASTIC service look no further than Rajpoot restaurant, it really is the best.

It was nice but my only criticism would be is that the chicken tikka masala was very salty.

Heard good things about this place but unfortunately it didn’t live up to the hype. Still trying to get the taste of chilli powder out of my mouth 🤣 Maybe I just ordered poorly but it wasn’t what I was expecting.

I had been to this place once however the food taste is average. I had ordered chiken tikka biryani but the taste was not so good. You can try sizzlers that was ok but not awesome.. Tandori roti is quite big in size. people are humble. service is fast and good.Ambience is quite ok.

Lived in Shipley for 2 years now and Rajpoot is absolutely a local staple (there are many curry houses to choose from and I always get Rajpoot). Order the balti murgh, chicken tikka masala, or the dopiaza, you will *not* be disappointed. 5 stars.

Rajpoot used to be the best takeaway around the Shipley area..... Unfortunately they are now the worse. I haven’t ordered for 3 months because of missing items on my order and late deliveries. I’d like to say thanks for saving my samosas from 3 months ago & bringing them back tonight. The starters are inedible & really hard. Also the green sauce that everyone loved that used to have chopped onions in has now been watered down so much it has has no taste at all. Really sorry Rajpoot because the guys who built this business don’t deserve this review.

Rajpoot is a local and friendly curry house and is great place to eat in, lovely calm environment to eat in , however service is usually slow but the food is amazing!

Was quiet when we went. But service was very slow. No staff where present for a while so we seated ourselves. Then we waited around 15 minutes before we could order. Curries was pretty bland and did not have much spice/ flavour. Starters where of good quality. If i was to return again would only be for starters not curry. May try them again in the near future as it might have been an off day, but for now, this was my experience!

Very sad to be writing this review. Rajpoot used to be a reliable curry, good value and great portions with superb flavour. From the start of 2022 - things have gone a little down hill. Changes to the seekh kebabs, smaller/thinner, less tasty and less juicy - for example. Delivery has been slower and dishes look warm on 1 our of 2 deliveries. I hope the team can get back to their best.... sometime soon? Its hard to find a good authentic curry in BFD - shame on you!

Curry order delivery.Waited 1.30 minutes. Not impressed!!No communication, tried ringing no answer!!Had to warm everything up, when finally arrived.Curry was nice, but wouldn’t order delivery again. Not worth the wait!

Not great. Very basic. Food seemed to all be reheated, but was passable. Mango lassi jug was good, though, so extra star for that.

Decent enough food and good portions, starters especially.Atmosphere a bit dead and cold, literally both with the bright lights and the fact most people in there had to keep their coats on!Fella next to us falling asleep constantly and seething wife spoiled the atmosphere further, not somewhere for a romantic meal but for after pub grub it seems even though no alcohol served. Handi Gosht was lovely and spiced well.

Can’t believe it I asked for a Meat curry in our language to the uncle he exactly said he knew what I want and said when my curry arrived it was unbelievably no good at all I would not have put a comment on here but I had to meat was not right and the taste in the curry was not nice at all something unbelievably not right with the whole dish uncle upset every time I get my curry of you make beautiful curries on 1 certain day and then it’s rubbish Allah Akbar shouldn’t say that but I’m very unhappy with the meat curry and I asked for fresh fry fish it was not good upset because they do know how to make proper food cnt believe what has gone wrong apologies for the comment had to meat was dry asked for saucy curry 🍛 and the actual taste in the curry was no good at all Parents disliked it soon as they ate first bite on the meat curry dnt know what else to say think we got old meat and chef didn’t know how to cook what I wanted and the fish was like very old fish and watery like .... bd9 you know who I am saying the truth 0.1 .

We order from Rajpoot every time we get a takeaway, it is absolutely amazing! The customer service is always phenomenal, the staff are lovely, the delivery is always on time and the food is BEAUTIFUL! my partner is allergic to nuts and they are so brilliant when it comes to allergy safety, everything is clearly labeled, they keep allergens separate and always so helpful when we call to check about an allergy order. Their website is really good too for ordering and delivery is waaayy cheaper than any other round here. Could not recommend them enough!

What a let down. Came recommended and was rated well but ended up waiting 1hr30 for utterly tasteless food, I’m honestly quite surprised. 4/10 being kind. Never had a bad meal from Shimla next door, thought we’d give a new one a try, I know where I’ll be going next time.

Main dishes were absolutely lovely, full of flavour. Naan and roti were very soft and nice. Female waiter was extremely polite and service was good. Would definitely recommend.

Feel very let down i chose here for my party of 6 after reading reviews I felt it would be good . Total lies on these reviews must be from family as place is Disgusting place needs to be inspected by environmental health , mouse droppings all on floor in mens and womens toilet (not seen til after we tried to eat )owner extremely rude to staff and customers shouting and swearing in punjabi in earshot of whole restaurant. Owner called the waiter a dog and said hed messed ourorder up when I called him over to ask why all 3 dishes we ordered tasted same . Meat desi was watery and tasted bland no flavour no desi . The chicken masala by far the worse Ive ever tasted had bits and veins in chicken and bones despite it meant boneless . The chicken i had not be cleaned properly my colleague told owner who proceeded to talk down to him telling him this is how Asian cooking is deal is not meant to be hard this was cutcha and small portion not enougjt for even a child . My colleague is english the rest of the party were Pakistani and to be honest I felt like the owner was very racist towards him my colleague has owned fine dining restaurants all life so he knows when meat is not cleaned . Owner said he didnt understand Asian cookery if we thought this was bad . We all eat 3 or 4 times a week out this is worst by far even worse than simla next door owner very rude to his waiters and customers the poor guythat served us did his job well but was blamed oor food qualitywhen I doubt its him whose cooking itt

After a number of years not ordering any takeaway food from a number of establishments due to being under whelmed to say the least, Rajpoot has revised my confidence! What can I say but amazing! Thank you so much for helping me finally find a decent curry after all this time! New regular personified!

Wow been here twice now and omg the currys are beautiful tasty and plenty of chicken staff really friendly and helpful

Oh how lovely this place was. Nice comfortable restaurant and quality food. I had a starter and a main and both were superb. And the naan bread accompanying my curry was also superb. Definitely will go here again.

Best and old traditional pakistani restaurant in Shipley they cook fresh food everytime . I like lamb and chicken balti and masala fish I recommend this restaurant food is 5star

Edit: Had to write an edit because its just so good. Visited again and everything was perfect, chops, fish, haandi, balti achar, rice naan and even the chips were faultless. Staff are lovely too.Seriously wish Id come here sooner. Awesome food couldnt fault it whatsoever. Really nice waiter provided great service too. Reasonable prices, will definitely return.

Food is over rated. Ordered mild chicken tikka. Didnt get a tikka, dont know what it was. It was just awful. Too spicy. Gave me extreme stomach cramps for two days. Sticking with Idle curries at least I know Ill be getting a tikka.Do not go here or waste your time and money. The staff are useless. Dont have a clue what a tikka is and will ring you to say your order is ready and make you wait for a further 15-20 mins with no acknowledgement until they have the bag in their hands and expect you to be grateful they even made the food at all.Absolutely appalling.

Utterly delicious food. Pleasant surroundings and friendly service. The mixed starter for 4 was such good value: loads of delicious meat and fish. The main courses were also generous, perfectly spiced and served promptly. The lamb jalfrezi I had was meltingly tender. A real treat and at a very good price.

Nothing special, went tonight for a takeaway waited 40 mins inside. Asked how long my curry woyld be, they said ohhh sorry we have give your to someone else, it will be about 10mins boss.I saud that not good enough, they saud we will give you onion bargey free,, ok fair enough .10mins later my curry is ready no free onion bargey , so ask were it was, to be told we not giving you anything .... fine you just lost a long standing customer whi eats in and gets takeaway .

We have visited on 21-Jun-2021. The food taste was awesome and the service also very good and friendly. Only small suggestion that could reduce the oil in food. Apart from this, the taste is really awesome especially fish taste is awesome. We enjoyed a lot with great food. I would suggest this restaurant for taste and price also reasonable.

Lamb karahi was amazing fresh and high quality meat and ingredients with real authentic taste a must try from a certified foodie lovely waiter who recommended me what to get it was on point! Keep up the good work guys💪

Went in the 50% of scheme rang restaurant to book table of 6 the manager who I spoke to on the phone was nothing but polite and very helpful. Starters were spot on. Curries were banging and paid only £65 for a lot of top notch food highly recommend. The owner always sorts me out thank you once again

We have a raj poot curry fairly often either eat in or takeaway and this is the best curry in the area. The food can be a little on the spicy side but not offensive and always tasty. The only thing I dont like is the naan bread but chapattis are excellent. We ordered for 6 and it came within an hour and all 6 curries went down a treat.

Fantastic as always, I find it strange that the restaurant next door advertises its success in national curry contests. It wouldnt stand a chance if the judges only went 10 steps to the left

Great place; friendly staff, food was superb especially the kofta and beef curry! Fluffiest naan ever too, and luscious mango lasso. Even the raita was delicious, lots of cumin! Toilets need some TLC but the food, atmosphere and prices are top notch. Well be back!

This is the best curry place in Bradford. Dont be fooled by the look next to the shiny Shimla. This is a fine family run establishment with amazing food and service. You know a good curry place when you see all the Pakistani taxi drivers going there to eat during their shift

A nice and cosy little restaurant. The dishes are brilliant, very flavoursome and well cooked. Priced well, just a little let down with the menus as they are outdated, and the decor and toilets need updating. But other than that its a place I would definitely go again, with family, as a couple or with friends. Well done. 👍

Lovely curry as ever and always busy

Its perfect, they give 100% customer service, and the food is authentic. Rajpoot restaurant is pure class, would definitely recommend. The chicken and spinach curry, cooked asian style was super, as was the starter. 5 Stars. Perfect.

Close to a 5*My slight downfalls were curry slightly on the cold side and masala fish 20secs overcooked!Overall rather impressive, chapattis were perfectly cooked!!! Service exceptional all other food extremely tasty! Definitely will return very soon 👏🏼

Fabulous curry house. Been coming here for years and have never been disappointed. Very reasonably priced and will deliver for free within a three mile radius. Not perhaps the place for a romantic dinner à Deux, but if you are looking for a value for money taste of Asia, then this is your place.

Best King Prawn curry weve tasted! I chose the chef special, it was delightful. The masala fish was exquisite and just melted in my mouth! I would have one every day if I could. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals and Ive converted many people to Rajpoot too! Thank you
