Very wonderful place, it is one of the tourist places of Bihar, we have to keep it safe together so that our coming generation can know about our cultural heritage. 💗🙏 Please keep it safe 🙏
I fell in love with its Architecture❤.I am sure once you go there you dont want to go back to your home....want to feel our Ancient art💎.
This place is in ruins and is totally neglected.Such a sorry state of affairs can not be seen anywhere other than bihar. My heart broke to see such grandeur falling apart. The kings of yore did nothing to preserve it and neither does the current government care.I reccomend you visit this place soon before it falls down and is lost forever.
Best picnic spot in this locality. Situated approximately 10 km away from district headquarter.
I have seen the glory time of it when the 9story tower was there. Still beats of spiritual and folk touch makes it very special.

Such a amazing place still shining...I am not able to understand why government is not taking care of this beautiful historic place
This is also known as Navlakha Palace. It was built by Maharaja of Darbhanga, Rameshwar Singh. It had originally 11 temples of gods and goddesses. It had several forts and palaces. But all this structures got damaged by Bihar-Nepal Earthquake during 1934.Tajmahal has 15 layers of carving but in these structures there are 22 layers of carvings. Ivory and white marble which is used for "Kali Matas Murti" is similar to Tajmahal. The cemented structures of Four Elephants looks phenomenal and it is said to be first cement structures of India. But all these goodness are just in vein. Government left this place to degrade even more. It was never repaired by anyone. Locals here are continously demanding it to be turned into a tourist site from government. But you know they are busy looting public money. This place is also suffering from encroachment. The grass field in front of the structure is logged heavily with rain water. The temple outside of the SSB Camps gate is in good condition because it is being taken care by them. They renovated it by their personal fund.Lets see when government is going to give it a look and decides to renovate it and declare it as a tourist place. But anyways, these structures are worth to see one time and appreciable.
Marvellous architecture with gigantic structures. Unique style of architecture which is an artists delight. Jewel of Bihar....
Its a good place to spend your weekend with family. If this would have been maintained properly, it could have been a heritage site, as the monuments have that potential and its infrastructure is also good.We have a palace and a white marble kaali temple inside, both of these are remarkable. There are many spots where you cant go as its all water logged in front.Do take water and food supplies with you. As no food point is inside and a small local shop is there outside the building.
Royal palace, but due to poor condition its beauty kepp fading away.Bihar govt should maintain this and promote this palace for tourism.
Such a nice place so much peace but ignored by our government
A very delightful place, this is the firm house of Babu Gopal Prasad Singh ji.I get delighted. And it is decorated with nature and there is a lot of peace as well.
A fabulous monument at Raj Nagar, Madhubani in Bihar.Nav Lakha palace begs for attention. Many lesser quality spots get a lot of tourists. At Raj Nagar we have simply forgotten it. A local college namely Maharaja Shivendra Singh Janta college runs in it. Being Sunday I found it bolted. But whatever I chanced upon is unparalleled beauty and splendour. Many cracks have developed. Many cracks have developed and there are no efforts to repair and maintain it.I was saddened at the gross neglect of a grand heritage.
I like the architecture and motifs which were carved in the walls . They are very beautiful but due to earthquake many building were half demolished . Still one must visit that place.
Historical and reflection of Mithila culture with the mixture of British and Mughal architect. But there is an urgent need for maintenance.
Very nice place there are too many tamples and big ground and parks and also guards for security reasons
Situated in Rajnagar which is 12 Km from Madhubani, its a college now named vishveshvar singh janta mahavidhyalay.. Emperor Rameshvar Singh and his sons ruled here along with British emperors. Very beautiful place, you can see ancient beauty and carving and designs on the stone walls. Peaceful environment and natural beauty available on free... Must visit and please dont use plastic in the premises.
I dont know what Bihar Tourism is doing. It is a beautiful place. Huge palace but needs immediate attention.
This is a historical building complex which in itself is amazing but the best part is the Kali Temple here. Its so vibrant that you can literally feel her existence here. Great place, amazing experience.
Beautiful place to spend some quality time
Very Nice place created by Darbhanga Raja situated in Rajnagar.. 11 Temples. The place was demolished around 1934 during british rule.Recommended to visit . It will take 2hrs to capture all area.
Very beautiful Palace located in Rajnagar (near to Madhubani city of Bihar). It shows the golden heritage and art of the past. Unfortunately it is poorly maintained by the local authorities and as a result it is demolishing fast. It is a good place for picnic with family.
This place is very oldMade by darbhanga mahraj i.e. king of darbhanga
Maharaja kameshwar singh raj palace rajnagar,Very nice place for tourist
Old Palace of Darbhanga maharaj...but due to poor care and lack of maintenance its became a horror movie location..it can be a good tourist place if maintained properly
I am really in love with this place, specially the architecture. It is needed to preserve these type of architecture because in this time of machinery this is an example of hand work.
Ruins are good but due to lack of maintenance it get more ruined.
Very good historic place but not so well maintained
Good place to visit with family and their loved ones it is a vast place as like a great empire and the monument over there is so exotic that every one must loves it.💞💞🌺🌺"AND A GOOD PLACE TO FOR PHOTOGRAPHY LOVERS" 🎥📸

Awesome place, Pleasuring views, totally worthy.
Good Place to explore ancient kingdom of Darbhanga Maharaj, how they are rich in architecture techniques. At this place you find ruins of fort built by Darbhanga Maharaj kingdom.Need Bihar government attention to develop this palce.
A great tourist attraction that is just seeing apathy of government since a long time. Hope the government and people dont just regret once it is gone forever.

It is just near to Madhubani. The distance from Madhubani to Rajnagar palace is about 12 km. I can say that this is one of the best place to visit in Bihar. The History of Bihar is very rich and Darbhanga Maharajs contributions was one of them in the Mithla Region.I hope that in the coming time these places become the part of Bihars tourism with all the great effort to save these histories.
A nice place turned into ruins by apathy. This place could easily have been developed into a tourist spot, but no one cares.
It was built by Rameshwar Singh, the younger brother of Darbhanga Maharaja, between 1884 and 1929 to serve as the Darbhanga Rajs administrative capital. This complex covers 1,500 acres (610 ha). It includes 11 temples to gods and goddesses and several forts and palaces. It suffered significant damage during the 1934 Bihar–Nepal earthquake and has never been rebuilt.
What a fabulious building . It is amazing for me after seeing elephant piller and so many beautiful temples. The design of roof of buildings is very wonderful.
Its amazing n beautiful historical places situated in Bihar State at Madhubani district. If u want to see some ancient fort or historical places then u must visit one time with your family. This fort belonging to Darbhanga Maharaj Sri kameshwar Singh family
