Fast-food chain specializing in fried chicken fingers, crinkle-cut fries & Texas toast.
Love the chicken here. Whenever I am in the area I am happy to go and get some since this chain is not a thing in nj
Ill kick this off with a con and pro list...Cons... The crinkle cut fries are average and Im not a fan of Coleslaw. Lastly the line during lunch and dinner rushPro... Everything elseWith Chicken Fingers in the name theyd better be good and they really are. Thats not always a given... looking at you burger king. The Texas Toast and Canes sauce are top notch and service is almost always quick given then line.If theyd ditch the crinkle cut fries for waffle fries Id have to take out a 2nd insurance policy for fear of a heart attack.
Love their signature house sauce! Chicken was amazing!
18$ for a Candace large drink, or should I say ice. Fries we cold and soggy. No chicken tenders but did get 6 chicken bits. Usually love this lunch but this was the worst I have ever seen. Fix your staff, didnt get a straw or ketchup I asked for.
I am a Caniac...I love the chicken fingers here....so good...fresh and hot..I was told the chicken is soaked in buttermilk for 12 hours..breaded..and made when ordered..it shows...and the sauce is so good too. This drive thru is always have a long line..sometines the line doubles around the building...but thats because it shows how good the food is and the line moves quickly. Staff is always nice..dining room is always clean. It shows if you keep your menu simple...specialize in their main delicious item...the chicken ..and other great items and make it delicious every time instead of 100 mediocre items...people come back and again..I actually bought a gator mask early in the pandemic...it was pink and I wore it all the time for my "mask"...free advertising...lol
Ive become addicted to this place. They have a very simple menu. The drive through is always busy. The chicken strips are very tasty. I get The Caniac each visit: 6 chicken tenders, fries, Texas toast, coleslaw, two dipping sauces, and a 32 oz. drink. The coleslaw is not great, just average. Everything else is quite tasty. My only negative is no dessert menu. They have dine-in available, but I always use the drive through. The staff is always friendly and they never got an order wrong so far.4/5
Absolutely delicious. The sauce is amazing, I thought I was going to be disappointed with no ranch but I was happy I tried their sauce.
My re review of canes is needed. The prices have went up, yet the quality of the food and service has declined. The CASHEIR in thr attached photo boxed chicken with her bare hands. I confronted her about it live on snap chat and she responded by saying that her hands were clean. The cashier, NOT wearing gloves, protested that her hands were clean. Thank you canes, you will never see me again and I encourage any patron to watch them make your food. As you see I got out of the car.And she wiped her nose, or scratched it cause it was itching...smh...I recommend eating at home.Canes is absolutely 100%, not worth it.PS dont ask for barbecue sauce, it offends them. I say this from experience.
The chicken is delicious but the price has gone up slightly and the amount of French fries has decreased.
Not at all impressed! Got the chicken tenders at the drive up. When I got home, I opened the box, the fries where limp like they were thawed and not cooked, same with the chicken tenders. And not cheap. This was my first and last time visiting this place.
Ive come to this Raisin Canes for years since it opened. Today may be the last visit due to poor service. A mistake was made on my order and when I returned to inform them of the error instead of fixing it, I was accused by them of having eaten the food I paid for and never received. Which has never happened to me at any restaurant Ive visited because everyone with common sense knows mistakes happen with fast food orders.I called them on an error the first time we were given the food and they tried to act like a side of fries gets added to the box instead of a separate small box- but they fixed that. This location absolutely needs better customer service training all around.
This was my first time at raising canes the food was good and facility was clean
Hungry af after a long drive and I hit the drive through at the right time with little wait... Seems the chicken gods were smiling on me this day.
The size of the chicken pieces I received today were tiny compared to what I have received in the past. At least it tasted great! Bread was small and not as good as it has been previously.
Just came in to use two free box combo cards and paid for two drinks and some extra sauce. Sat down and waited over 15 mins and went back to the counter to check on my food and the girl that took my order told me she didn’t know if I actually wanted to order the meals and that she just rang up the drinks and sauce. Are you serious? And to make it even worse, after she ACTUALLY put my order in, the fries were cold and the bread was hard. I won’t be coming back to this location.
Service was fast but the chicken portions were TINY! Not worth the $10!
Some of the best chicken I’ve ever tasted. I was on vacation from Atlanta and had to try it. All we have in Atlanta is Zaxby’s which is horrible. Hopefully we have a franchise open down that way soon.
The staff was so friendly and the food is consistently hot and tasty whenever we stop there! Wish we had one in my city!
Some people get it and others dislike the idea, but Raising Canes has 2 different menu items and thats it. It is either a chicken strip basket with fries, coleslaw, Texas toast, a drink, and chicken strips with dipping sauce (3 different quantities available), or the same thing except 2 strips betweeen a bun to make it a sandwich. Some see it as a lack of diversity, I see it as they focus on one main thing, and that focus makes thier only form of protein the best out there. The strips are extremely juicy, tender, and well seasoned. The dipping sauce that it cones with is also phenomenal. If you like chicken strips, this is a must try!
Chicken fingers and sauce are very good. Crinkle cut fries, coleslaw and toast are bland at best. Ask for "easy ice" on your drink too, so you actually get some soda.
1st time and didnt failed me at all but it is competitive out here on the chicken game
Some of the absolute best chicken I have ever had in my life. I would give this place 6 stars If I could.
Paid for a 6 piece they gave me a 4 piece chicken and fries were cold on both orders and the lemonade was watered down didnt eat all my food because it didnt taste good
Another great experience.
Absolutely perfect!! Amazing chicken, they did a great job with everything, sauce is amazing, maybe some BBQ sauce too. Just a suggestion!
Thanks for being the only place on Robert Street that is open late, I appreciate you for this.Big plus, is that I have never been disappointed with Canes meals !!
Love this place. Employees are always kind and patient. My kids love the chicken! Thank you
They didnt put dipping sauce in the bag. Its not the same without the sauce. I was very disappointed and resented having to use ranch.
How simple are Chicken Strips? yet Kanes has reinvented the strip. Great fresh and always perfect
Portions seem a little small for the price. Nothing to write home about. Chicken tenders are good but typical.
If you use the drive-thru, chances are the lines are long but they move quickly. One of the few fast food places that rarely messes up my order.
Portions are getting smaller while the price is increasing.....I like Popeyes more but I really miss Boston Market!!! Not 1 item on Boston markets menu, would I pass on! Canes coleslaws isnt that good but the cup they use for service is 1/2 the meal. Just call me Olive Oil & be on my way to a better deal for my meal!
This is one of the better chicken restaurants in town. The chicken seems like good quality. I feel that there is actually meat there vs mostly breading. I dont care for the toast or cole slaw but that is just my taste. I know a lot of people that like it. I love the sauce they have for the chicken. It is great. I will eat here again.
I have mixed feeling about this location. First the good-They move very quickly, so your able to get through a long waiting line quickly. The food is always hot and they always got a slogan to say when you pull up through drive thru " hey hey hey want some.chicken today" was the one today. The badAlthough they move quick this may not be a good thing. Sometimes the chicken seems as if its not all the way cooked or it was rushed out of the grease onto your plate , so the chicken is full of grease.Moral if the food is fresh and the chicken has actually had its time to drain grease off and fries hot the foods good . Id say your looking at about a 75% chance of success at this location which isnt bad.
** UPDATEDI was contacted and the issue was resolved. The next time I went in, it was great, and the experience was as it usually is. Much appreciated!****Usually we don’t have a bad experience but they were so rude today. The woman taking our order was short with us and all we did was place an order. I asked for a small cup of ice and she was mad. We didn’t get it. And I paid 100% of the money asked but got 50% of the food. The cane sauce containers were nearly empty, my lemonade was watered down. My chicken tasted like it was cooked in burnt oil, or cigarette ash (I can’t image it actually being cigarette ash, it only has the taste). I don’t know what happened there today but in this economy it’s not worth throwing away your money. Usually we are so full after our meal, we were still very much hungry and had to also pay to go somewhere else.
Came here twice before the one opened next to me and the experience was nothing but amazing. The people were kind, courteous and down to earth. Food was freshly made and hot. They even gave me ketchup and napkins WITHOUT having to ask. Sad that Im not going to this location anymore but thank you for giving me a good experience.
Is it just chicken tendies, fries, and toast with a "special" sauce? Yes. Am I mad about it? No, of course not! They dont miss. Ive never had a Canes experience that made me question their loyalty to feeding the common masses. The food is always what you expect, and thats all I ask for.
Yesterday, 10/23_2021, was our first time ordering food from Raising Canes. We used the drive up service. The food smelled fabulous when we put the bag of food in the car. After driving away, we each tasted a bite of the chicken. We wanted to taste the chicken without the sauce, first. It was moist, but, the actual flavor is somewhat blah. Neither one of us eats spicy foods, but we love full flavor. So, to us, the smell is better than the food actually tastes. We tried the sauce, which is OK. Its not hot spicy, which is our preference, however, again, its flavor is rather boring. We probably wont go to Canes very often, if at all. Our preference is Coras Chicken Wings on Ceasar Chavez St. in St. Paul. The chicken is available spicy or regular. Their regular is full flavor.ENJOY YOUR DAY!
Raising Canes is simply delicious, with a peppery taste so unlike Other Chicken Restaurants. This particular location is...just so compact and challenging that I cannot give it 5 stars. Its hard to maneuver and get in and out of and multiple times Ive had to park to wait for my order, after waiting to have my order taken, and then I have to wait to back out because theres a huge line of cars wrapping around the building.Delicious, clean, havent messed up my order...but hard to get in and out of.
I ordered here for the first time and selected the 4 chicken fingers box. The chicken was so slimy that it looked like it was cooked in dish soap, or some nasty oil. It was full of oil. It tasted like something between fish and chicken. Will never go here again. How do people eat this stuff.
I really don’t see the hype about this place. The chicken tenders, while crispy, lacked flavor. The fries were soggy and also lacked flavor. The bread was good and the service was fast! I feel like this place would have even more customers if they changed their fries.
Great food, as always! Surprising and quite nice to find a southern fried chicken finger chain that doesnt forget its roots in its franchises up north. I was a bit sad that they were out of sweet tea for the full "experience." To be fair though, it was late in the evening, and my Caniac combo was both hot and fresh.Canes, if youre listening, please come to Central Florida ASAP! Thanks again!
Always long drive thru lines, it was alright! I prefer Chik Fil A. Very friendly employees though and very fast. Will try Raising Canes other menu items!! 🍗
Fast and friendly service, and delicious food. I would probably eat at this place every day if I could. 4 pieces is the right amount of food for a guy my size, the Caniac is a bit too much. The sauce is delicious, and dont be afraid to order a second piece of that awesome toast.
Its Canes, what more is there to ask for? Just remember to always double up on that bread.Only gripe is that they have gendered single-person restrooms. Theres no point! Just make them gender neutral; its not like youll run into anyone else in there with one toilet each.
Their food is always fresh and hot. I love their white pepper dipping sauce. I always but an extra for $.37 and dip my chicken, fries, and toast in it! Their chicken is also moist on the inside and super crispy on the outside. A little more expensive than other fast food but makes a great treat.
Fries were old. Chicken tasted like it sat under a lamp for too long. The canes sauce tastes like mayo with lemon pepper. Not impressed
Tasty food and good portions. The chicken strips and fries are pretty standard for a chicken restaurant, but that garlic bread! Yum! The dining room is a little small, so it can be hard to find a seat on weekends when its busy. The restaurant has always been clean when Ive visited, and service is pretty fast. I personally prefer Chick Fil A (which is right across the street), but this is a great go-to option to satisfy that chicken craving on Sundays.
My first time ever eating food from here. The staff was friendly and very helpful to our questions. The service was quick and we were out of there within 2 minutes for take out. The food didnt taste any different from any chicken finger/chicken tender I had before. Lastly, the dining area was kept cleaned and neat so thats a nice plus.
This was the first time Ive visited this W. St. Paul location. Its tiny, not a lot of seating, and the wait was long. Its crowded. If you order to go there is a bench by the counter where you can sit and wait. The food was fresh. I didnt like the crinkle cut fries, they had no flavor and were soggy. The canes sauce was salty and sour. Not my thing. Service was nice. The original canes sweetened iced tea was freaking amazing. I would definitely go back for that.
