Rainbow Beach Park in East Chicago

Thats where the place we used to hang out is growing up on the beach

Beach was beautiful relx chill enjoy sun everywhere

I love Rainbow Beach its the pinnacle of my childhood with my dad and sister. Every summer and winter we would visit this beach and put our legs in the water but we would rarely ever swim in it. I overall this a great place to visit with family or just for alone time to think. The view of Chicago from there is also beautiful too. Hope you visit once.👋😊

Beautiful beach with amazing skyline view. Would highly recommend for anyone. Especially great for families with children. Bathrooms were clean.

Early in the morning when its quiet.

The city really need to put more investments into making this beach area as fabulous as they have in the northern beaches. Its a great location when tons of potential.

There was karaoke after beach closed it was nice

This is not a place you want to bring you or your family. This beach is on the far south side of Chicago. And in that particular part of Chicago the crime rate is extremely high. So theres a lot of activity going on over there that you dont want to be involved with. So just keep driving to the next Beach.Nothing has changed, keep looking. 6/16/2022

Family and dog friendly, on the lake, and usually not crowded.

Rainbow Beach fieldhouse was GREAT!!! The staff were great. They were relaxed and smooth. If you needed anything they were helpful. The location had a perfect amount of room. Now the ultimate thing is that Chicagoland skyline in the background. Its a photographers dream! I highly recommend this place. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I hadnt been to this beach in YEARS. My cousin decided to barbecue and have a softball game here and I must admit, I was a little leery. Once I got there it looked so different and nice The beach was clean and there was a stage with DJs playing house music. Really nice environment. I enjoyed myself.

So relaxing and the day me and my friend went it was sooo quiet! Only a few people were there

Wanted to go to the Lakeshore while we still had "summer-like" weather.!. We got there kinda late, but still enjoyed gazing out over Lake Michigans gorgeous, cerulean, blue/greens¡! 🤩

Lots of bugs come to intrudeyour party, but its very fun, they only come because of the humid, but idk if I recommend to go when it rains? But I would definitely say family

It was ok was out foe just a few minutes before going back home to my kids

Disappointed with the lack of cleanliness and sand.😏 The kids still managed to enjoy themselves, so it wasnt awful. 🤷🏾‍♀️😊

Beautiful lake front multi cultures were own enjoying a great day. However, they did refill the toilet paper,but there was no liquid soap to wash your hands and all the sinks were stopped up,also the hand blower dryer didnt work either.

It is very beautiful beach. The color of water really greenish blue, The beach veay clean. One can a good weekend here. There are a lot of parking space . At least when i was there , it was not too much crowd. I really enjoyed the brezzes and sound of the beach. Super happy to come here and spend my weekends. Will come here again.

PLENTY OF ROOM FOR US ALL TO SET UP OUR PLACE TO SIT. AND TO SET UP OUR TABLES TO SERVE THE FOOD.AND TO COOK & GRILL AS WELL.ENJOYED BEING IN THE COMPANY OF ME BROTHERS AND SISTERS OF THE HOJ BIBLE CLASS BEACH FRONT GATHERING.STAYING PRAYERFUL!!!

Beaches are always beautiful...but there was way too much trash on the ground...needs to be cleaned. Its really sad and blatant that the city doesnt clean this southside beach like Northside beaches.

The beach was clean and the parking lot was not overcrowded. Fun Times with My Family Always.

Usually check out the beaches on the North side or downtown when Im in the city. Decided to check out this one today. Pleasantly surprised. Nice little hidden gem. Not crowded. Cheap parking. Beach can be a little more of small pebbles than true sand in places. Plenty of lifeguards on staff for any emergencies.

I was there for a special event that our organization was hosting and the sights and sounds created a nice atmosphere that left a lasting impression on all who attended our event.

Always lovely on our lakefront. But the city can do more with cleaning and maintenance of the beach. Still one of my fav spots

Nice place to visit we had a nice time. Has a basketball court,park,rest room,plenty parking&benches. And had a candy candy set up nearby. Will be visiting before the summer ends.

I love going to the beach, period.

Sand is nice, not very Rocky. Water was good. My only issue was the accessibility. It was pretty difficultto find my way into the beach area even with a GPS

Love the fact u can do All Outdoor adventures! Such as BBQ, soccer, football, tents, but i hated it waant Sand but instead Rocks! Hard to make Sand Castles!
