Great quality food. Make sure to try the fresh spring rolls with peanut sauce.If youre not sure what to try the Asian Sampler has nothing but delicious treats.Excellent every time.

They have a bar an karaoke in the back a wonderful way to spend a weekend ❤️❤️

They need to get all new bartenders. None of the drinks tasted good. None of the drinks tasted like the ingredients on the menu. The bartenders actually did not know how to make a couple of their own drinks. They didn’t fill the glasses up, and a couple of the drinks were missing ingredients. You can’t overprice stuff and then not make them right. I would never go there again. I wasted so much money there. Some of the worst drinks I’ve ever had. Stay away from the bar!!!

In town for an event, got home fairly late. But this place was still open. When I walked in I didnt expect a good experience, but the staff was awesome and the food was great.

Love the green curry here! They have a nice hot tea and coffee selection as well. The Chinese black tea is delicious and different from what Ive had.Nice bar set up, away from the dining room. The service is always excellent!A must try for great food and friendly service.

Son loved it! Good portion size and the waitress was really friendly. No skimping on meats and vegetables.

Everything was fine, the service, aesthetics, spacious, comfortable and friendly. I just did not care for the taste of the food. It was not bad, just more bland than I like it. The fried rice tasted like peas and not fried very much. Not my cup of tea.

The food was good and the service was good but beware of the drunk customers sitting outside the restaurant who threatened us as we were going in. We addressed this issue with our waiter and she said " oh he is a regular who comes here to drink and not eat. She said that he just had a little too much to drink." Not acceptable at all.

Great food. I havent had one bad thing of the menu at all! My server Ashley gave some of the best quality service I ever had at any restaurant.

Food was ok but there were sugar ants everywhere and the floor was sticky. Our server Justin was amazing though! He was so attentive and working so hard. Only reason Id give this place any stars.

We called in an order and picked it up to bring home. It was the worst Asian meal Ive had. This was disappointing because weve eaten here several times and enjoyed the food. I had wonton soup. The dumpling was just nasty. The chicken was on its own because the dumpling was slimy. We also had orange chicken. The chicken was so stringy it was nearly impossible to eat. I did call to let them know about the meal, but they didnt call back, so I guess they dont care if it was good or not.

Wonderful experience. Out waiter, Justin, was very friendly and attentive. The food was amazing. Portions are huge. You have to try the salad with ginger dressing and the brown rice. It was the most perfectly cooked rice Ive ever had anywhere. I will be back for more cashew chicken, too. Delicious!

Dont let this hotel-attached restaurant fool you! My son recommended we eat here a week ago when my wife was out of town. I was so impressed with the friendly service, atmosphere, cleanliness, and fresh variety of Asian cuisine, that I brought my wife here after church. We try to hit different restaurants on Sunday. Justin was very professional and friendly. The Singapore Noodles and Cashew Chicken were fantastic. Rainbow has a nice bar area and as long as people are there, will serve food till 3AM. Nice to know if you want a nice meal late in the evening.

Might be the best Chinese food in the JC area. Blown away by how outstanding the food is every time. My kids beg for us to come here every week.

The food was gross. I ordered the pepper steak with "fried" rice. The peppers were undercooked, and it was all drenched in this nasty sauce. Looked like someone bought a bottle of szcheuan sauce from Walmart and dumped half of it on my plate.

Rainbow Asian cuisine is run by a lovely Thai-American family. One of the owners, Da, is incredibly gracious and willing to make off-order menu items to accommodate my tastes for Thai cuisine that perhaps might not be scalable for a restaurant in this region.The entire family has created a lovely space, with a dedicated bar and separate dining area that’s warm, clean and comfortable.Life is about relationships, and it’s always good to have a connection with the people giving us the bread to break and rice to share.This is the exact type of business I love to support. I’ll be coming back.

Went there because line too long where we planned. Pleasantly surprised! Service was great, food excellent. Will be back, recommended!

Went to dinner on short notice and worked out way through six dishes starting with fried tofu and spring rolls as appetizers and ending with drunken noodles and the tamarind tilapia. Everything was fresh, flavorful and perfect. I could not recommend this restaurant enough.

We have been hunting good Asian food since we moved here. The Rainbow Asian Cuisine is not only good but fantastic and some of the best weve ever had. Our server was great and even brought us tastes of Boba tea. Thank you so much for one the most enjoyable dining experiences we had in a long time.

The staff was very friendly and the food came out fast, however, it was very poor quality. The fried rice isnt fried rice, I ordered general Tso chicken spicy and sesame chicken and they both had the same sauce on it, not spicy at all. There were Itty bitty little pieces of chicken in a very thick heavy batter. The crab Rangoon was way over fried and had a weird watery sauce with it. Very expensive for what it is. Definitely my first and last time eating here

Dont let the location fool you (this restraunt is connected to a Best Western)! This is easily one of the best Asian restraunts around! The Drunken Noodles and Pho soup are the best Ive ever had! The fresh spring rolls are amazing! The curries are delicious as well as all the other entries Ive tried. Thier dine-in service is wonderful and my experience with take- out has been the same. Give this place to try. It will not disappoint!

Quality of the food is great. My General Tso chicken and my wifes Sesame Chicken tasted almost the same. I would have given 5 stars if the General Tsos was spicier.

Went here today for the first time to celebrate my birthday - The staff was super friendly and sweet. Restaurant was very clean and had a calm, relaxing atmosphere. Everything was delicious and portions were huge! The plating was also very thoughtful and beautiful which meant a lot to me because we did come in to eat at 11pm and some places may not care to make their plating look good that late at night. I will definitely be returning! 😊

We ordered out. We found the food to be fairly bland for what should have some level of spice and taste. My assumption is that Asian food is usually distinguishable by its flavor, thats why we eat it. Not so here. Just moved to the area, Im hoping we can find better Asian food in the near future.

This place holds a very special place in my heart bc of My Uncle Diesel.So I like to visit just to pick up some wings from time to time.I like when they have Karaoke and everyone is so much fun!The Coy fish in the small pond is a fave of mine as well!And home of the "Diesel Shot" (Glorified Royal Flush)

The best Thai-Chinese food in the Tri-Cities area hands down!Great food at good prices and large portions.Friendly fast service and each meal is made when ordered, not warmed over made ahead.Oh, and a clean, comfortable dining area.

The restaurant itself and the service was fine, so I’ll give one star for that. However, the food itself was honestly disgusting. Both mine and my girlfriends plates smelled fishy although we did not order anything with fish. The chicken tasted like it had been cooked in the same pan as a school of fish before it. The only saving grace was the white rice on the side of my order.

Oh my goodness. What excellent customer help, Phil. Not only did you help me navigate the menu; you helped me on the road back to feeling well. I ordered the pad Thai. I wanted it very mild since I had been sick recently. I spoke with Phil 3 times. I dont recall having a better experience with food delivery in my whole life. I must commend the Uber driver for his part. My food arrived steaming!! And everything looks like it did when I last dined inside with my daughter. I love this place. They have always been so kind. I think Rainbow is the best Asian cuisine around. Cant wait to dine in again!! Phil, you are the absolute epitome of being kind while working really hard. I know how it can be. Ordered take out. Food was extremely bland. Missing ingredients. Very rude establishment and workers. Would NOT recommend. Plenty other places to get great food in the area. This place is NOT it.

I thoroughly enjoyed my first visit to this amazing restaurant. The food and staff were excellent. I loved the Pad Thai. My group tried several appetizers. All were equally delicious, especially the Chicken Satay and the Spring Rolls. Everything tasted so fresh. The Pomegranate Martini really topped it off! I will definitely be back soon.

This place was the worst Ive ever eaten at.Everything overcooked.Sweet and sour chicken absolutely flavorless.Chicken chow mei so salty.Soup was tasteless.Worst $40 bucks ever spent.On the other hand servers were very polite...Not what I was expecting, considering friends experiences.We wont go back.

Food had a nice presentation and service was friendly. That is where the magic ends. Curry was very bland and tasteless. Soup, fried rice, egg rolls the same. Looked nice but no taste whatsoever. We even ordered super spicy Thai. So disappointed. Even the cocktails were bad. I cannot recommend this.

First time eating at Rainbow Asian Cuisine!Called in before hand to order, took about 15-20 minutes before ready. I got General Tso’s chicken, a side of lo maen noodles & rice! first off the noodles were a bit bland by themself but the chicken was AMAZING, if you’re not into chicken with fat this is the perfect place for you! the flavors were amazing. I highly recommend to anyone who loves Asian food!

Excellent variety, very clean, good service and portions. I loved the Pho. Sometimes they have a soup not on the menu Khao Tom (I think that’s rightsoup-very, very good. They also have a gluten free menu.

My husband and I ordered take out from here tonight and to say that we were both disgusted is an understatement. First, my husbands meal was supposed to have beef, but instead he received chicken. Not too big of a deal.. then we actually took a bite of our food and both of our meals taste like DIRTY DISH WATER! 🤢 It literally taste like someone poured dish water over our food. Needless to say, the $40 we spent went straight to the trash.

The worst pho I have ever had. Super greasy, beef was tough and had a slimy texture. Noodles tasted like cheap cup noodles. Overall, all the ingredients in everything we ordered seemed very low quality. My husbands dish was undercooked and one of the pieces of meat (chicken or pork, couldn’t tell whichwas so undercooked it was cold and visibly looked raw. Absolutely not worth the price, much better Asian restaurants to eat in Johnson city. I’m baffled by the positive reviews.

This has been one of our go-to places located in the Tri-Cities region. It is not the typical restaurant and that is exactly what makes it such a great dine in location.Attached and within the same building is also a small bar and hotel. The food is exceptionally tasty and always fresh. The consistency is nice!The new owners have done quite well since their new start with the name. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly when it comes to questions about the dishes offered.It is rarely packed in the restaurant and that is why we enjoy it for small intimate business dinners, as well as family and friend outings.The bar stays busy and has great drinks.We hope this location stays here for years to come! It is one of the few isolated yet rare gems.

Do not go here during the night, the night shift is a bunch of has been waitresses who cant pay attention, because theyre too busy trying to woo over men that are old enough to be their father. On top of that the cash register in the front as a light fixture that is in your face if youre taller than 5 feet.

Real nice experience. The food was pretty good. While there I tried the pineapple chicken w/rice, enough wasnt bad at all I think if the chicken friend would have made for a better dish. Overall good food and hospitality so I cant complain. As well if you do so happen to go here you should try the Xango its a wonderful dessert.

Their ginger salad is awesome - both the salad and the dressing!!! We loved it - highly recommend!! The young man who took our order over the phone was both personable and professional. Great service! We enjoyed eating in our room at Best Western Johnson City (the restaurant is accessible from inside the hotel). It was nice to stay in and enjoy a quiet meal as a family after traveling for a number of hours!

Love this place. My husband has tried for almost 5 years to get me to go and we went last week to our friends birthday party and decided to go back tonight for dinner. The service is great and the food is amazing. The presentation of the food is great. Over all its an amazing nice quite place to enjoy a meal.

Very clean and service was good.Sping rolls were fresh .The sweet and sour chicken was breaded and cooked well but no veggies. My wifes curry was thick and tasted more like peanut butter than curry.

Excellent! Got in late and figured Id grab a sub-par meal in a hotel restaurant. I was wrong. The food was awesome. Had the pho and it was as good, and even better than what I get in Orlandos Little Vietnam. The summer rolls and peanut sauce were awesome too. Excellent surprise.
