Raider Burrito - Mexican restaurant in Lubbock, United States
Honestly they don’t even deserve a one star. I ordered two different burritos when they arrive they were exactly the same not even close to what I ordered. The meat was dry and had a lot gristle to hard to even eat . I called to ask what happened to my order all they did was make excuses. Trying to make me sound like I don’t know what I ordered. The manager was completely unhelpful didn’t even say she was sorry. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
The salsa is really great.
Fast, friendly and extremely delicious!!
They have great service and food! I ordered almost 300 tacos for an event and they had them ready in less than an hour, and they were delicious!!
Loved it open late good food great scenery love the out door sitting
The food was amazing great price and great food you cant go wrong I would say give them a try you wont be disappointed
I was so disappointed in the barbacoba. It was so dry and burnt. I feel bad because I hyped them up to my family and everyone was saying it was a waist of money…..
I ordered 2 tacos and a drink from the truck and got charged $16.64That is theft. Tacos are $2 $3 for a Mexican coke. That doesnt add up to $16.64Someone is robbing people and thats not how a business is run.
One of the best burrito spots in town!!!
This was really good, authentic Mexican food. We all had some variety of taco, and they were all good. I favored the carnitas, and several of us agreed. We got 4 each. The staff did have heavy accents and maybe limited English, so be prepared. The menu is on a chalkboard, handwritten. We sat outside, where they were cooking. Sauces, napkins and drinks were inside. Its kind of a "hole in the wall" but the food was good and prices were decent. I would definitely return.Edited: went back and enjoyed the carnitas and steak tacos again. Ordered inside and had pleasant service.
Burrito that we ordered was really greasy, chili relleneo plate was good, , but the chili still had the seeds. It was the first time there, dont know if Ill go back.
Employee wouldn’t get off the phone so we could even order. Just wow we left
Love the tacos! Fast service! Friendly staff!
They are proud of their burritos! But...its worth it! They are massive and when you ask for toppings stuff the little cups to the brim. Overall good place. Not far from Tech or the depot district
I ordered chile rellenos and it was awful. The salsa/ cheese sauce on top of it smelled bad, and the rice was super hard. Hate to complain about it, but I was the only customer in the place and no one ever checked on me. Greatly disappointed.
The lady got our order wrong at this place there was nothing but flies flying around all our food which is disgusting the lady had and attitude when we told her she got our order wrong and then didnt even try to fix it completely rude
Everyone I order food their food is soggy out too hard to bite will never recommend this location
I absolutely loved the burritos I ordered. Chips and hot sauce were on point and I recommend them highly
An authentic Mexican food restaurant, the food is very good and the service has been really great too. Love their salsa, and their carne asada burritos. The menu is a little difficult to read but they’re always helpful if you have any questions about it. I’ll definitely be returning. Would highly recommend
Today is the FIRST and LAST day I eat that food. Disgusting. I’m so mad I spent $17 and this is literal garbage… never again
Great burritos must check it out, small little hole on the wall but friendly and good
First time trying this place i order 2 breakfast burritos no Flavor at all Youre better off going to McDonalds and get in 2 breakfast burritos
Worst place ever! I called in an order and when my husband went for it they said they didnt have an order that it had been " lost " by a guy that works there then they gave use 2 little baby barbacova street tacos when we asked for burritos & a small queso when we asked for a large chips and queso ... when we called after we got home & seen THEIR mess ups the manager was very rude & didnt want to correct our order at all. It was very poor service because it wasnt just 1 nor 2 but 3 mess ups. Our order wasnt done when my husband went to go pick it up, they gave us street tacos instead of the burritos, & they gave us a small queso.
They have the best street tacos and burritos! One of my favorite places to eat!
I always order using Doordash and these are the best burritos in lubbock. Theyre always fresh and yummy.
Their tacos are great but I went this morning for bfst burritos & their ratios are just way off. I bought chorizo& egg and Chorizo & potato but there was more egg than chorizo and more potato than chorizo, also the pot/cho was very greasy. I ordered my a tripa burrito & the person wanted them crispy and got them as raw and flimsy as he could get them. I ordered 3 burritos in total and it cost me 18 dollars, I dont mind paying as I do understand everything is going up rn but I would have liked for the quality of the food to have been better.
If I could marry my burrito I would. I’ve never had a bad meal here and I eat here. It’s like $9 for a meal and it’s so good!!
I tried the tacos here for the first time 2 months ago…. I WILL NEVER GO TO TORCHYS OR FUZZYS AGAIN!! They are so delicious every single time!!! These workers need their a$$es ate for real !!! I recommend the Carnitas tacos with hella green sauce <3
Clean, well used but homey. Good service and good food. Customers that dined in stayed a long time visiting after eating. I noticed a food truck parked out back, it was dusty, looked abandoned. They should wash it down and keep it clean.
Been getting the same burritos weekly from here for over 3 years. Always $12 for my order, the menu hasn’t changed thus prices shouldn’t have changed. Was charged $5 per burrito.Won’t be going back.
Completely messed up my order. Asked for Bacon and flour tortillas. Did not get either. Did not even get utensils for my togo order. Had to make a spoon out of the foil from my corn tortillas came in.
We showed up around 5pm and stood around for 10 minutes waiting on ANYONE to come take our order. I ordered a Carne Guisada Burrito with cheese and sour cream; I got a Carne Guisada Burrito with cheese and a paper squeeze tube of sour cream and was told the refuse to add it themselves. Once I pulled it apart to add it myself, the burrito fell completely apart and the tortilla was so chewy that I had trouble cutting it with the dull butter knife I was given after having to yell over the music playing in the kitchen to get. How this place is still in business can only be attributed to the drunken college students who frequent the place and later puke in the back of the Uber that mom and dads credit card pays for.
This place used to be good but has fallen so far. Took 5+ minutes to be acknowledged, after which the lady took a 15 minute break to play on her phone, in addition to another 15+ minutes for a single taco which was cold, greasy, and inedible. At 7pm- peak dinner time for most places. Terrible customer service and food. Wont be going back. If i could rate a 0 i would. Terrible.
Used to like this place but won’t go back. They charge whatever they want and now charge $3 for a coke and $5 for a bacon egg and cheese. Drive through is a disaster. The owner needs to make some improvements. I’ll go to Burrito King. Better, cheaper, friendlier, and prices are as advertised.
Stopped in to order a bean and egg burrito (need some protein!). I got in and out quickly, and the burrito was excellent (a little greasy thoughjust FYI. They have a salsa bar that provides enough for every ones taste buds.
Decent burrito and salsa. Prices are not advertised correctly and so you have to ask how much things are which feels weird. Service is below par and they will ask for more money when you correct them on your order.
The Chimichanga I had was bland but added salsa and queso, rice/beans very good and flavored, it was tasty, clean, friendly staff, I was really amazed at how fresh the chips were, tea was great, reasonably priced...1st time, will go again...the price was for 2...thank you..A
Love love love the tacos! They also have really good breakfast & lunch specials also. Horchata has its good and bad days. But the good days it’s the best horchata in town!!
I love the tacos here. From getting the munchies after a night of drinking and dancing or for a late lunch/ early dinner snack. The green sauce is amazing. The red sauce: proceed with caution its HOT!!!!
Hands down the best cheese enchiladas ever paired with perfect beans and rice. This place consistently hit the spot. Legit Mexican style tacos were also fire. Dont let the surroundings ward you off from coming here: totally worth it.
Honestly from all the “Mexican” restaurants near the university this was the biggest let down. The asada burrito was lacking in taste in the meat, as well as not very lean. The al pastor quesadilla had zero resemblance of real al pastor the cheese wasn’t very good either. I usually give places a second chance but definitely not this place especially for the price.
Im honestly really disappointed bc I really used to love this place, but tonight the tacos were so tiny. They was more cheese and cilantro than meat. I remember having tacos from here that overflowed with meat and I could actually use the 2nd corn tortilla provided, but that was not the case tonight. :(
How are yall going to serve a pregnant girl raw food. My tacos were not cooked all the way . I normally never have a problem . Ive came here for years. But lately yalls food have been terrible and undercooked. Tried to come and take it back but yall were closed. Will never come back . If anything im going to go to the other raider burrito or el Phoenix.
My Go-to taco stop in Lubbock tx is hands down Raider Burrito on 2102 19th St. They ALWAYS deliver the best tacos. Tonight we got Asada, Barbacoa and Tripas. Check em out if youre ever in town!
To the young lady working tonight you are seriously the rudest person ever I have met that works there.Time says you guys close at 12, I got there at 11:45 just to be yelled at through the window saying y’all are closed!! way to be professional and turn a customer away. While there was one car pulled forward and you were making food. My order could’ve been taken. Just because your in a rush to get out of there.
So we have love coming to this place, however the last two times we have came to this place it has been a nightmare. The night personnel is the rudest that this place has ever had. I really hope the owner of this place takes this into consideration and really checks his night workers. We work hard for our money and will not ever come to this place as long as the personnel that is here is still employed at this place. We also asked for the manager’s name and number, which they gave us the wrong number very professional.
The service was quick and friendly. They do speak English and spanish witch was a plus for my wife and me.
Okay their tripas tacos are pretty good if you get them extra crispy but their MENUDO is off the charts tasty. It has a little spicy kick but its so good. I love Raider Burrito.
Inconsistent. The nice ladys who take phone orders dont speak English very well. This causes the ingredients to be wrong pretty regularly. The salsa used to be spicy and I would buy extra to take home. Now its so mild that my wife says she cant taste it on the burrito and she cant handle much spice. Hoping it gets better, we used to really enjoy eating here.
Horrible experience. First of all the dude just made up the price. I ordered 6 tacos at $2 a piece. I paid $9.50. Its cool I didnt have to pay full price BUT i wouldve rather paid full price and gotten ACTUAL tacos. These tacos are tiny. I would compare them to toy breeding in large dogs. Its a quarter of the size of what a regular taco should be. It was greasy and had little flavor, at least the hot sauce was good. I couldnt get a chicken taco because apparently they only do chicken at lunch. Thats the laziest taco shop Ive ever been to. Excuse me while i go have second dinner because Im still hungry after FOUR TACOS. I will not be coming back.
