Refined, cool rooftop spot in hotel offering panoramic city views, cocktails and tapas dining.
It was a nice welcome, got to use the lifts to the top where the restaurant is located as its part of the ME hotel. Great views. 👍 we had to be seated inside as the wind was blowing the soil onto the table from the plants next to us. The kind lady situated us inside which was much nicer. My friends enjoyed the cocktails found them strong, I though they were quite sweet last time so went for a whiskey. The food was great, we shared some small plates and they all came at the same time. It was quite quiet for a Friday but it was still a good experience because of it. 3rd time here.padron peppers are good and the squid/calamari. I found the lamb abit chewy but my friend enjoyed.
So much unused potential at this place!Firstly it is in a great neighborhood, secondly its a rooftop bar and people love that combo, but none of that really matters if the food, drinks and service is below average.I have a lot of mixed feelings. We came here with a bunch of friends for the view and the drinks, not necessarily to eat. Unfortunately it was a disappointing experience - none of us liked the drinks we got, they tasted nothing like you would expect, even though there were ordinary types of cocktails. The views were only interesting from one side - facing south and seeing the river and London Eye - but the westside was just full of construction cranes (not the fault of the establishment though). Finger food we ordered was average taste, very small portions and frankly quite expensive. It is a beautiful venue, with a great ambience, but a lot needs to improve here in my opinion. It was half empty when we left at around 10 PM on a Friday night, that says a lot about this place! There are much better places to hangout while in London! Visited in July 2022. Paid by card.
Beautiful place, amazing coctails and extremely friendly and helpful staff. Worth a visit, will be definitely back! Thank you
We booked for a special occasion and were lucky enough to be seated outside with lovely views. However the seating was very uncomfortable - you could feel the metal frames of the seats through the very thin cushion. Also they ran out of the champagne we were drinking and the first round of beer was warm. Our waiter however was lovely.
The experience was brilliant. We arrived at 10pm and did not expect much but Andreas exceeded our needs. He was supper friendly, nice and with a brilliant customers service skills. The views are gorgeous and we can’t wait to be back!
The views on the North side of the Thames are still new to me so this was a nice change. I preferred the venue before it got busier from 6pm. Highly recommend the beef sliders and burata salad 😋 The gyoza arent as spectacular as the other 2 dishes. Id pass on those next time and try something else. They do grilled octopus which I saw being enjoyed. The crowd changes after 6ish, at which point we finished up.
Lovely views, terrible service, asked to move when it was half full as we had a horrible spot. Took multiple conversations and an hour of asking, in the end we just moved ourselves as they weren’t helping. More worryingly we asked when ordering about a sever dairy allergy and the food turned up with cheese on it. No apologies almost like it was our fault! Missed drinks and food which were on the bill and when we said we wouldn’t pay the “discretionary service charge” they had to check with the manager and then told us they would take it off but we had to leave straight away! Nicer bars in London with less attitude!
My partner and I went to the rooftop bar expecting wonderful views and service. There is no doubt that there are great views from this bar, hence the 1 star given. However, everything else about the Radio Rooftop bar was abysmal. Below is a list of issues experienced at this venue:1. The volume of music inside the venue was really loud, I had to shout🤣2. When arriving the lady took us to our table and then just walked away. I had no idea how to order food/drink (table service or order at the bar), and then had to walk around to find someone who could help.3. The staff were rude and abrupt and did not seem to care. The service was shocking, having to wait 20+ minutes for someone to take our order.4. We were not seated outside. This was okay as it was busy, however we wanted to take pictures of the views. A staff member made us feel like it was a crime to leave our table to take pictures of the sunset, as you’re not allowed to “leave your table”.5. After getting fed up, we decided to get the bill. I had to ask two waiters for the bill which took them 20+ minutes to bring over to us. When the waiter brought the bill over they had the audacity to just add 12.5% service charge without making it an option or asking. No one asked if we enjoyed our time here. And when the bill was paid the waiter just walked away and didn’t give me a receipt.6. And then to top it all off, when going downstairs to leave the venue I went to ask a member of staff where the exit was. The staff member just stood there looking on his phone, ignoring us.It was a culmination of events that led to our experience at the Radio Rooftop bar to be a huge disappointment. I can confidently say that there are much better Rooftop bars in London and this venue will not be recommended to friends/family.
The worst service of allThe warmest beer everThe most expensive food and minuscule portions we’ve ever had£20 quid for this size of a beef tartareCeviche is supposed to be cut up in small cubes, this was definitely sliced and absolutely inmersed in hot sauce. The worst Ive ever had.all in all, terrible experience.save your money for a better place down Covent Garden.
Good tapas, good cocktails. The view is amazing ! Note that smoking is not permitted on the rooftop.
Although this place has good panoramic views and nice interior, the food and drink was very average and overpriced. It was £20 a cocktail but the cocktail was very basic. We waited about 15-20 minutes on both occasions for our drinks orders and when we ordered the wine I eventually got up to see where it was and it was just sitting on the bar.The waiting staff seemed very junior and although pleasant, were far from efficient and attentive. We ordered the rib eye which was okay, but very tough to eat and the chips were cold and overcooked. We ordered the mains the same time as the wine and the food actually came first.Nobody asked if we enjoyed any of the food or if everything was ok when clearing plates, paying the bill or leaving. Not an awful place but I probably wouldn’t recommend it to others or choose to go back.Overall quite disappointing.
I had actually went on NYE for cocktails - the atmosphere and decor of the bar and lounge was tasteful. However, we found that the front of house staff were both unhelpful and rude. Admittedly, some members of the waiting staff were hospitable and helpful - just unfortunately let down by the front of house staff. If you’re looking for a hospitable experience, I probably wouldn’t come here - a real unfortunate review because the bar and location was exceptional.
The absolute definition of style over substance…except not much style and even less class. Had a reservation for a group of 9 and we were placed in the outside area. It was absolutely filthy with the rugs and seating being stained, the tables wonky, and no vibe at all (no music on the outside bit). We asked to be moved inside which was better as at least we had music. The drinks are very expensive, and with this I would expect bartenders to know the bare minimum (a hendricks was served with a lime and not a cucumber, tonics that were not ordered). At £20 a drink, this just was not acceptable. The bathrooms were repulsive, had to dry hands with toilet paper, and just plain ugly.If you’d like to market yourself as an upscale experience and price yourself as such, pay attention to the basics and the details.
The location is fantastic and the views brilliant. The tables are well laid out and the place is clean. We were a little disappointed with the service as we really struggled to get any service. The food was tasty but for the calamari they forgot the sauce, and the drinks were served after the food arrived. I would go back but it wouldnt be my first choice
Its a cool spot but we went on the day of 40degrees and couldnt get an outdoor table although we did request one. Now this wouldnt have been a problem but the bar doesnt seem to have air con inside and it was hot!! Great food though, could brush up on the cocktail list.
Absolutely stunning venue with beautiful view and good choice of drinks. I was happy with the ambience but the food is over priced, they took ages to get the drinks. We ordered food and the waitress got the wrong food and we raised an issue with the manager, he told us that she was new and we have to eat the wrong food because the kitchen was closed. We ended up paying for the food that we didn’t order. It was my girlfriend’s birthday and it was a big disappointment.
✨️Chic✨️Chic✨️Chic🇬🇧The ME London is designed to impress, from the black and white polished marble to the privately commissioned chandeliers and furniture, to the nine-story interior pyramid that makes up the hotels atrium.✨️🎵🌕 Lighting, music, and mood of the hotels public areas change throughout the day thanks to a dedicated team of "Aura specialists". The architecture of the building -- designed by Norman Foster himself -- is grand and daring, with expansive hallways and large but intimate public spaces.Staff always on hand and helpful, very clean, superb views from rooftop bar.Shall I recommend it? Definitely, YES🔝🔝🔝
Cant beat the views of London. Had excellent service from Andres and the tapas were tasty if limited in selection. Highly recommend a reservation for happy hour or before a show otherwise you probably will not get a table. Plan on 90 minutes.
One of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at a bar. We waited 20 minutes after our booking time to go upstairs where we were told it would take another 5 minutes to be seated. They said we would have an outside table and they were getting it ready so we sat at the bar to wait until finally we asked what was happening then were moved to a table inside that was free the whole time we were there. Asked to move to an outside table like they promised and was refused.Staff were incredibly rude, when we asked for drinks most said they weren’t waiters and scoffed at us for talking to them. Impossible to get service, waited 30 minutes for a bottle of wine before we cut our losses and asked for the bill 4 times before we decided to leave without paying for our drinks. Now they come running to the lift giving us all the service.Quick tip - if you want to be served at this place pretend to do a runner.Staff clearly weren’t trained in hospitality, there were empty glasses on every table around us, no wonder they had to serve our drinks in a mismatch of glasses as they’d run out of clean ones.Surprised they are still in business. Will never go again and suggest others do the same.
Absolutely stunning venue, beautiful views, excellent staff and some fantastically tasty cocktails. Expensive, but worth the views. Great for lunch, dinner or sunsets with friends, partners or groups.Just beware of Google Maps navigation taking you to the staff entrance out the back, rather than the hotel entrance at the front!
Lovely location and views. Decent prices for central London . Below average wait staff. We werent greated nicely or correctly when we arrived, also the staff didnt even offer a rooftop view table despite booking ahead of time , when I asked to be seated on the terrace I had to beg to be seated there despite there being loads of space. our order wasnt correct but was handled well. Great view but dont go here for a luxury experience or exemplary service . Additionally the toilets were awful
Good sky garden in London with beautiful view. Expensive breakfast but you pay for view. Nice place for coffee or drink
Im not one to leave bad reviews but this was a pretty outrageous experience. Its a shame because I had previously had great experiences at this venue. The staff either were under staffed and unable to attend the customers correctly or not trained efficiently enough to deal with customers. It took ages to get a drink, food or even just to get the attention of a waiter, we could of been there for an hour without someone coming over if we didnt highlight it.Finally, the food was average at bed, I actually got food poisoning (from the prawns I believedont think they where cleaned / washed properly. So spent my birthday sicking it all up, great times....
Like other reviews, the entrance of the hotel to the views on the rooftop is amazing. However, I would expect 5 star service at the Rooftop lounge. We had to beg to get seated as the hostess immediately said they were booked. But after a couple of mins we convinced her to seat us especially given the large number of tables that were available outside. Already the experience started off questionable. We were seated and waited close to 20 mins before I got up and requested someone to come take our order. By the time our drinks and appetizers came out it was 45 mins since we sat down. I noticed one thing, the staff really doesnt care and honestly it is like no one is in charge. I would blame management for running a horrible service. The staff was running around but no coordination. For a high priced place and location/view the service was extremely poor. The food was subpar. The calamari looked great! But chewing it was like chewing on rubber! Not sure they were fresh! The lobster sliders were totally fishy! Also didnt seem fresh. The reason for 2 stars vs 1 is because the drinks were great and the view was spectacular! This place could be magical, but work needs to be done in training and enablement with the staff.
Was like being in the handmaids tale… do not show any signs of enjoyment with your friends, do not get up off your seat…. Strictly no dancing! One must sit quietly in their seat and form part of a background. Do not upset the ‘guards’ on duty by showing any human interaction or emotion.
The waitress in grey and black (wearing glasseswas very rude with me. He showed a super rude attitude with zero knowledge about customer service. It is a pity for such a place with a good view and location to hire such people that will ruin its reputation. However, Athena is a great manager and she managed it well. I recommend more supervision on customer service.
Amazing view, but as there was 3 of us they wouldnt give us a table next to the edge as they were for 2 or 4 people only, and they werent full.
Came here while on a trip to London, absolutely lovely view of London and lovely menus! Prices are pretty expensive however the views, menus etc and definitely worth it. Staff are lovely and really attentive.Proposed to my girlfriend here and the atmosphere was phenomenal! Would definitely go back.
Nice place with lovely views of London. Not a foodies paradise but great for a drink with friends and a bite. Lively and uplifting vibe, great for young people although there were people of all ages.Interestingly there were lots of couples and indeed it has a romantic feel to it, particularly as it gets dark. Just avoid sitting in the busy/group areas.Music is played by a dj on Fri/Sat/Sun. It is quite loud indoors but terraces outdoor better, with lovely separate areas.Staff are very friendly and helpful and the service is good.We ordered some tapas: the croquettes of iberico ham werent great. It was mentioned to the waiter and changed no problem. The calamari were crispy and nicely cooked. The red pepper marmalade accompanying well with the chilli giving that bit of heat. The octopus very tender, on crushed potato base y romesco pepper sauce quite tasty although it could have had more consistency. As a plus, the portions are very generous for tapas style.Overall a nice place, great views and a lovely vibe, food ok with good portions reasonably priced and good service.
My boyfriend, his two friends and I went to Radio on 14 May 2022. Every aspect of the experience was disappointing. We had a reservation, and were seated inside (which defeats the point of a rooftop bar?). We then saw women who did not have a reservation (we heard them discussing this with the greeterseated outside. The inside was hot and impossibly loud - the music was good but insanely high volume. The staff were horrible - long waits to be seen and served, for everything. And one woman (who appeared to be a managerblatantly did not put in an order after we called her over (after waiting ages). The drinks were mediocre are best. The food was overpriced and bad quality - the lobster sliders were clearly canned lobster, and I’ve had better croquettes from M&S. The toilets were nearly pitch black dark - it was disorienting to use them. BOTTOM LINE: save your time and money and go somewhere else.
Beautiful views, nice drinks, rubbish service. Had to order the same drinks three times before they arrived (40 minutes after arrival). Music was pants. Could not recommend.
Amazing experience ! First time and we Definetly coming back! Big shout out to Andres for making our anniversary night very special! Super tasty food, drinks and views ! Just great 🥹 Muchas gracias Andrés !
Just incredible and definitely one of the grandest entrances I have seen for quite some time...The ambience is on point, and the artwork featured celebrating her Majesty Queen Elizabeth is tastefully done. Staff very accomodating and delicious food and drink. Perfect choice of restaurant to impress a significant other be that romantically or business.
Outdoor seating is uncomfortable. Weather was nice and therefore saw nice views. I arrived on a lovely sunny afternoon to meet work colleagues in a large group. I arrived slightly later than my colleagues, however I waited over one hour for a cocktail... strange vibe with some of the staff. Overall its alright, with the view being a highlight. Wouldnt recommend for larger groups as it seems difficult for the staff to manage.
I have to apologize that its a disgracethe working girl was very rude she didnt offer us any solution.we had our reservation came from out of London to celebrate the birthday of a friend we hadnt seen for a long time i especially when i book my friend has a birthday please give me a nice tabledont sit outside, she let us in and gave us a bad table, we asked there were empty tables outside, unfortunately, we got the answer that they are for big tables, we made a reservation, we said its a special day, but she said she cant do anything, he neither apologized nor said wait, shell take it if its emptyI have never seen such a careless employee, people without reservations, sat in a better place than us, we didnt celebrate there, we got up in 5 minutes. I wouldnt recommend it to anyone again and it was a disgraceful experience
Not too busy on a Monday but just enough people for a nice atmosphere. which was perfect. We had a perfect table in the sun. Shout out to the lovely lady Emma who made us feel so welcome. 😀Fab place for drinks would come here again.
Lovely staff and views. Cocktails were delicious and food looked good (but didnt get any). Prices were around £18 for a cocktail, £8 a beer & £40 for Rose wine.
Haven’t been for a couple years but Radio Rooftop is a lovely place to go for drinks and food.We had a fabolous waiter - Nordin. Gave excellent drink recommendations and elevated the experience which even without him would be great. Definitely coming back again.
Easily amongst the worst and most overrated rooftops in London. We went there during the week; the place was empty and now I can see why.The staff is extremely unprepared: they were very rude towards the whole table, almost as if we were bothering them by asking if just one specific dish contained an allergen. It’s worth mentioning that not only the food arrived cold, but also it came in ridiculous portions (I wish I had pictures to show but the plate was made a mess). The view from the terrace is very nice, but the watery drinks and the general rudeness of the personnel attending the guests made the whole experience awful.None of us will be back.
Staying at this hotel for a week. They had a decent breakfast, pretty standard fare and price for what you would expect hotel food to be.Went back for drinks at lunch, horrible service. Waited 40 minutes without any server coming to my table after I was seated. I went to ask the hostess to send a server and she took my order which was just a neat whiskey, pretty simple. 30 minutes later still no drink and no server.Ended up just leaving as I had already wasted over an hr.It wasnt busy, about 7 tables. There were 4 wait staff working (and I use the term lightly).Okay view of London.
A great view, ok drinks (the selection needs improvementand the food was also ok. Not bad at all but not the best restaurant Ive ever been to either. One of those places where youre really paying for a fantastic view. It was great for my birthday, especially considering how nice the staff were. We had ordered the seafood platter for two. The best part was the crab paté.
SatNav misguided us a little .. wasnt clear that its located in the Hotel ME building (but that may be just us!and then once inside there are 3 lifts but only one goes upto the roof terrace.. the one on the left (with Radio written either side of the doors). Lovely, friendly staff who were very attentive and accommodating. We had some drinks and just fancied to try the Pina Colada share dessert ... delicious! We will be back!!
Nice brunch menu, but would be great to have the breakfast served until later at the weekend. Ends at 11am and has a better selection. View is excellent and great that its unrestricted, but warm and cosy!
Stunning views of Westminister, the Thames and the London Eye. Came in without reservation for coffee on a quiet Monday afternoon. The staff was friendly and cordial. Paid about £12 for a cappuccino and a tea, but thats not far from what I was expecting to pay in a beatiful rooftop like this. Perhaps, choose a cheaper coffee shop if youre tight on money. If youre visiting on weekends, I highly reccomend to book a table in advance.
Amazing view, good food, great place.... we wait 45 min for service 😡..but the guy who served us was very nice and polite so Ill leave the 5 stars review 😉
Went for breakfast with a view which was a lovely way to start the day. With a decent variety of breakfast choices available on the menu. I reckon its even nicer here into the night when the weather is right! With cocktails at sunset and a live Dj playing.
Lovely restaurant with a beautiful view. Very calm and nice atmosphere. Me and my friend enjoyed the pan fried seabass while having a glass of rose which was lovely. Definitely going to visit there more.
Service was great, food was a little bland for the price you pay, great drinks menu! Our server was handling too many table at the end of our meal, he was rushed off his feet!
Food was very over priced for what it actually was. My poached eggs were solid and the whole breakfast was a bit bland. The views were great and the staff were very nice if a little eager to clear plates as we finished our toast.
Stopped here for drinks celebrating a birthday.Staff were nice and attentive. Couldnt fault them.Theyve a decent drinks menu, too.Of course, as a rooftop bar/restaurant in London you can be assured half the tables will be busy taking selfies throughout. Entertaining.Views are nice, though.
