Raamons Pizza in Ballina

1 large Pizza $26 (family size, but only fed 2), went to collect and charged $29, apparently surcharges applied, was not advised when ordering.Only a margerita, pizza was OK, just way to expensive for basic pizza,No value for money, to expensive even at $26

Waited for 2 hours ... then when I received it .... my favourite pizza had no taste prawns were rubbery ... also charged $10 for delivery !

Raamons is great. Best garlic bread/pizza, tasty vegetarian option. Best pizza shop staff in Ballina by a long shot. Very fast too!

I love my treat for myself each month when working in Ballina.

Im not sure if the guys behind the counter were tired, bored, stoned or just over it but the worst customer service I have experienced. They made me feel like it was an inconvenience to order 1 $30 pizza. A simple hello or smile costs nothing, especially when I can get 2 of the same pizzas from Dominos down the road for the same price. I hesitantly took my pizza order hoping it was the right one as there was no interaction whatsoever. Cheer up fellas. Be thankful you have a job. Please make hard working customers feel welcome! I definitely DO NOT recommend this place.

Friendly staff and fantastic pizza!We ordered the vegetarian and chicken supreme, along with a small garlic pizza. Nothing short of amazing! All pizza were so full of flavour and served pipping hot 🔥 definitely worth stopping in if youre in the area 😋

We chose this place based on the 4.3 rating. While the garlic bread pizza base was really nice, the pepperoni pizza was the saltiest thing Ive ever eaten. I could only eat one slice and my child wouldnt eat it after 2 bites...and the kid LOVES pizza. They were very fast and busy, but we wont be back.We ended up driving to Dominos with leftover Raamons to bin unfortunately...

Very expensive pizzas. Cheaper to buy in a restaurant.

I love the Lot. We ordered a large size but ended up not enough for the two little monsters (and me!). Lots of toppings. Good taste!

Wish I could post a picture of the gluten free pizza that they made for us . It had no tomato base or any sauce . They simply threw some toppings on the base and that’s all . When I rang to complain, they said my call taking too long and just hang up on me . Do not support this business.

We ordered the family-sized The Lot pizza, which did indeed have lots of things on it. We enjoyed the thin crust, and the hearty amount of toppings. Heaps of lovely prawns, bacon, ham, mushroom, olives, pineapple etc. Very tasty, very filling, tho the crust was a wee bit floppy. We even had some to take home with us after our short break away. Delicious!

The young English man was very helpful, he had a great knowledge of allergies, dietary requirements and made a cracker of a pizza.It was delicious and great conversations while I waited.Thanks

We arrived in Ballina from Newcastle saw this place the guy was so friendly. we got the Aussie and The lot they were great Pizza’s was really accomodating on what we wantedSo lite and great tasting thanks for the great customer service and a nice pizza after a long day of travel

Absolutely beautiful, as usual, they are the best. Made like we used to make them back home, we go nowhere else for pizza ,than Ramons in Ballina, the best pizza in the North.

Good pizza. Yummy, nice service. Not Italian wood fire traditional, but really yummy none the less.

Disappointed as I do like their pizza but as regular customers upset , website says close 9.30 I live 40 mins away drove there got there at 8.32 exactly, doors were open lights on. Sign says order I was standing there he said sorry closed I said website says 9.30 said yeah should change that we close at 9 I said ok it’s 8.32 he said yeah but last orders at 8.30 . No wonder with service like that then they complain if don’t support local busy what happened to customer service especially for a regular. Sign sad supporter

Really disappointed..Supposedly regular size was actually a small. All 3 pizzas lacked taste including the garlic pizza. Wont be using them again

Great pizza base with a nice selection of toppings. They also placed a table and some chairs outside so I could bring my dog. :)

Allways worth while supporting local businesses.The staff were all so kind. And were super apologetic about the wait that they gave us a free upgrade .Wish we had more friend to finish off this huge pizzaThanks guys !

This was the best pizza Ive ever had. Seriously! Fresh, crisp, perfectly balanced dough. Had Mexican, garlic prawn and chicken supreme. Well balanced and nice flavours. Garlic pizza was really good. Add to that the very friendly service and these guys should be proud of their efforts!

Cosy little pizza shop with delicious *real* pizza. Warm and friendly staff and proprietor. I wish they delivered to Brisbane! Well be back the next time were in Ballina.

Its been 3 weeks since we returned to Sydney from our holiday in Ballina. And we still remember this pizzeria. Best service & best pizza in Ballina, if not NSW! Sooo well made, sooo tasty, with a smile. If ever we return to Ballina, thatd be the first place well visit for food. I congratulate this owner!

Not a bad pizza. As an ex-Victorian Im still getting used to the different pricing, which to be fair to this shop, is consistent with the way it is. The base was the feature here, nice and woggy.

I must say its one of the best pizzas that I had in Australia! It was great, full of flavor and for a really good price. Even though it was Christmas (seriously 25th), it was super fast! I recommend!

Great pizza! Walk across the road from Dominos and check this place out instead. Warning: you wont get gross things like hot dog pizza crust. Just great pizza.

Absolutely amazing can not fault the hospitality or the quality of the pizzas. I was a lil sceptical at first due to past experiences of places claiming to be authentic Italian pizza parlours but delivering less than mediocre results. I was pleasantly surprised. Can not wait to visit Ballina just to eat here.

Ordered a half & half tonight. Large. $28 with a can of coke. Got back to my motel 5 minutes after pick up. Pizza is burnt. Pretty much inedible. Friendly staff which is nice. Wont be back. Dominos is better.

I just tried the gluten free veggie pizza and it was amazing!! Lots of delicious toppings with a nice garlic oil on a thin crispy dough make this a winner! Also the vintage retro American styled diner seats and excellent customer service gets my 5 stars!!

Pat makes the best Pizza in the whole area. I used to be a chef at a pizza shop in Melbourne (Poppa’s Pizza Parlour, MitchamAnd this is how I was taught how to make them. You pay for the quality but if you want excellent this is the place to go!!Thanks Pat.

Stupidly, I believed the reviews and bought a $20 pizza at Raamons, however the pizza was totally horrible and tasteless - like paper! Hardly any toppings, hardly any spices, and not even enough cheese! Worst of all the crust is tasteless like cardboard, oily, and turns very hard in a few minutes, which can almost chip a tooth. They should definitely change the type of flour, its horrid. At $20 this is a total rip-off, and the worst tasting pizza Ive had so far. I was so upset and could feel the sharp pieces going down my throat like pieces of plastic. Never again!

Highly recommend.Visiting from interstate and not much open late Fri night for dinner. Found this little gem. Great pizzas. Fresh olives and mushrooms that taste REAL and not like cardboard. Great pizza! Been there for around 30 years, same owner, same pizza. Very consistent. Retro interior, not cheap but loaded with ingredients, yum!

To anyone who is tempted to listen to the negative reviews, remember 2 things, everyones taste is different, and there are just some really fussy people out there who will never be happy no matter what! Just see how many positive reviews there are in comparison and let that be your guide. Including this one!Ive been having Raamons Pizza for about 25 years and it is still by far my favourite pizza! And my families favourite as well! The only thing i dont like about them is that they dont have a store in Qld where i live!!!! And that i still cannot replicate the flavour and quality of their pizzas at home no matter how hard i try LoLSo any time i am down in Ballina i will always stop in and buy several pizzas to take home with me, however they do not last very long in my household. They are the only pizza that i would legitimately drive all the way down from Brisbane to buy!! Theres no way in hell i would do that if they werent the best!! They are just that good!!

Fantastic pizza, friendly staff. Its not the American version but good old European style, with cheese underneath the toppings and oregano on top. Love it.

Would NOT recommend. Terrible and expensive. Too much cheese, and not the right kind of cheese. I think they use tasty cheese, which has a heavy flavour. Not sure how they got a 4.3 rating.. this is what we went off, but should have read some recent reveiws. Save your dollars and your taste buds! There is something better out there for you!

We paid $60 for 2 pizza and garlic bread. Which came looking very sad and oily. The pizza was terrible had no flavour and looked really displeasing. For $20 pizza I’d expect a lot more really disappointed I definitely wouldn’t recommend. We threw the pizza in the bin and went to McDonalds. Disgusting

Garlic bread was nice (had cheese on it which isnt on the menuthe pizza however.. not so much. Ordered a meat lovers and it was basic and bland. Too much cheese which meant it was very oily. The thin base and oil combo meant it was also soggy. Expected a much nicer pizza for the cost. Way too expensive for what you get.

Lady on phone was difficult to place order with and I had to repeat myself over and over - it appeared that she was not paying attention to anything I was saying. They had many opportunities to inform me that they were busy, but failed to do so. After 1 hour of waiting, I called back to be told my 2x pizzas were only just coming out of the oven and only now was I informed they were busy. After 1.5 hours I called back to check on the order and the confused lady who took my order told me that the pizzas were still not on their way. I waited an additional 10 minutes until the pizzas were finally delivered and they were luke warm - had to put the pizzas in the oven to make them enjoyable. What a horrible experience. Wish I ordered dominos.

Great service, clean facilities. Overpriced for Domino quality pizza. Sorry, I do wish I could add better because you were so friendly but the 3 pizzas I bought for $50 were average at best.

1 night stay in Ballina. Didnt know the area and was told of Raamons.We had a large pizza with the LOT and honestly this WAS BY FAR the best pizza I have eaten.If youre in the area just go there and try out the pizzas. FULLY RECOMMENDED.

The only reason one star is given is for the delivery driver. The most disappointing pizza I have ever purchased. I would not recommend Raamons. Pizza to anyone. A waste of good earned money. Not even going to give it to the wildlife. straight in the rubbish bin. This place has gone to the pack. Get your act together Raamons.

Although I cant review the Lismore shop I will leave my review here as I know the owner owns and works at both outlets. These Pizzas are by far the best and most authentic Pizzeria style Pizzas in Lismore. The shops arent flashy but that doesnt matter the Pizzas are always exceedingly delicious. Nice work Raamons team!
