RUGANTINO - Italian restaurant in Sligeach, Ireland
Lovely, enjoyable evening. Lively atmosphere, food and service were excellent and we will certainly return. I gave 4 stars only because they didnt seem to have a childs menu, or child sized portions.
Very friendly staff. The chef made pasta out of the menu on request. Everything tasted good. Had a wonderful experience.
Very tasty. Pizza was filled to the edge with toppings. Everyone enjoyed. Will be back.
I enjoyed all my lunch. While it wasnt then so busy they can still cater for more with an extensive and delicious menu
Always fresh and great choice of food, nice wine. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Takeaway Pizza and calzone were god awful. Even before eating, it looked like the worst pizza Ive ever seen put together. The toppings were processed plastic meats undercooked that appeared thrown on the pizza as an after thought. Not cooked on the pizza as it should be. 1/5 would not recommend getting takeaway here.
The best pizza in Ireland I have had. I really felt like in Italy.I will never eat pizza anywhere else again.♥️♥️♥️♥️
The food was delicious and the place had a really cozy atmosphere.
Absolutely unreal food. Friendly service, and great atmosphere.Highly, highly recommended.
Calzone is just delicious, could I say one of the best I ate until now, friendly customer service, my friends tried other dishes there and they loved as well, Ill come back for sure.
Lovely food. Big portions. Great service. Warm friendly atmosphere.
I dined here with 2 other people. They ordered burgers and said they were delicious. I ordered pizza and it was not good - base heavy and doughy, toppings were a mish mash and disappointing.Staff were very good.I give 3 stars on behalf of the burgers and staff but not the pizza!
Ordered seafood pasta and carbonara. Seafood pasta was lovely but carbonara looked like a scrambled eggs.
The best pizza in Sligo 100%Staff is mainly friendly. But food is just amazing + clean toilets
The food here is amazing, the setting of the surrounding area beautiful. It was super busy when we went but the service was excellent. We had fritto misto and Rigatoni all Vaccinara and it was just so so good.
The food we ordered came very quickly but I guess that paid the price on the taste, which was not present at all. Would not repeat or recommend.
Fabulous. Great service and huge portions. Definitely recommend.
Really pleasantly surprised, delicious food, reasonably priced and good portion sizes
One of the best Italian meals I have had outside Italy. Fantastic service. Delicious food
Great food freshly made to order, very generous portions and extremely tasty, lovely friendly staff and very reasonably priced.
Unreal food.one of the best in sligo..brilliant service and very friendly staff.amazing burgers. Will definitely return again
Lovely place and great service, we ordered the goat cheese pizza and chicken pisto calzoni both were delicious and the portion was greatDefinitely gonna be my favorite spot in Sligo🍕
Lovely Italian restaurant. Its my first but not my family. Authentic ingredients and dishes. Delicious crispy light calamari fritters and delectable antipasti dish albeit a bit on the small side for 12 Euros. The pizzas 🍕 were Delicious! Thin cream and great toppings. I cant take cheese and had the napoli with no cheese...Still Delicious...loved it! Then finished off with Caffè shakeratto and tiramisu for some. Yum! Will be back.
All staff were friendly, courteous and attentive. Only when we got back to our hotel did I realise that they were very efficient too, which I think stems from their good customer service.Definitely worth a visit for their pizzas alone.
Loved this place. Ate there twice in 4 days. A bit loud, but thats standard for restaurants these days. Pizza appears to be wood-fired, and thus soggy in the middle. Id avoid it (and indeed did on visit 2). Do try the Baileys milk shake.
Average enough food, certainly edible but wouldnt blow your mind. Carbonara was very cheesy and stodgy. Pizza was okay. Bolognese was fine
Food and service was awesome!!
Fabulous dining experience, we arrived with two small infants on a very busy Saturday night with no reservation. Staff were so accommodating and facilitated us. We had a delicious meal staff were so friendly a very enjoyable experience. Highly recommend this gem .
Friendly staff, very very good chowder with shell fish. I will definitely come back for the chowder. Great location as well, along the river.
Great seafood great service!
Simply one of the best Italian restaurants I’ve been to. Only one thing negative is the price its a-bit pricey compared to the rest of your competition. Other than that. Service food and tables were really good.
Went here because of great reviews but was left disappointed. After initial very friendly welcome, staff appeared very disinterested with us. When we finally managed to get some attention, the person taking our order was very apathetic. After waiting for about half an hour from ordering we enquired about our food just to be told that kitchen is very busy with take-out pizza orders. I believe that any decent restaurant should take care of in-house guests first, and only if additional capacity is there, accept take out, pure and simple.Pizza just about average: not what one would expect from Italian restaurant with a pizza oven. Pasta Carbonara lacked in flavour, almost as if bacon and Parmesan were just added as dressing on top instead of used in cooking. Fish and chips were ok, but somehow the batter wasn’t crispy, but soft and stretchy. Tartar sauce was very nice.Overall I’m sure one can find better Italian restaurant in Sligo.
Pleasant dining experience, lovely food.
Excellent in all respects...congratulations.
Excellent quality and family friendly service. Good food reasonably priced. Highly recommend fir intimate dinning but also when you have a big family gathering with small children. Everyones tastes are catered for.
The food was amazing and fresh, and the staff were 5 star. Lovely location along the river. Will definitely be back next time Im in Sligo
We were treated to a meal here last night and I enjoyed it. I had the grigliata mista. I expected a little more bell pepper in the side but other than that I couldnt gripe. Service and presentation was excellent and the ambience was perfect.
Nice food. Had a super Italian wine €45 worth every cent. Waitress was new to job very friendly and helpful.
Avocado and Feta salad is an absolute winner. Fresh and well balanced, seasoned and perfectly ripe avocado. Have gone back for this salad more than once and would continue to do so. Charcuterie board also well worth the price as it is a massive portion if having as a main meal for one. Would definitely recommend.
The waitress mixed up my order with someone elses. Very overpriced. My kids meal alone cost €17.20 - for a kids half portion of pasta with garlic bread. Todays special and the pizza were good. Overall too expensive for what we got and eventhough I told the waitress that the order was wrong, she insisted on giving me someone elses Calzone.
I was in Sligo yesterday and I was feeling hungry before I had to attend a meeting so I went into Rugantinos restaurant, Where I order a pizza I can assure you afterwards I felt sick it wasn’t good food at all to much toppings wasn’t cooked fully service was poor. I would not recommend this restaurant to any one or any tourist going to Sligo. Also when I got the bill I mean to say, way over priced I would of got a lovely steak dinner for what the price of the pizza was Ridiculous. I will not be returning to the restaurant ever and I most certainly would not recommend it.
A tuch of Italy 🇮🇹 - nice place with good food and excellent service.Very delighted (as usually).Highly recommended 👌
Food was good but service very poor. We had to put our starter plates at the end of the table for them to be cleared. Our main courses sat on the hot plate for a long time. Our waiter passed them more than five times before bringing them to our table. If I were the chef Id be fuming! Not once were we asked how the food was, if we wanted more drinks etc.
Fantastic italian food!!! Best staff! Thank you all!!!
Beautiful Italian restaurant in the heart of Sligo Town, great selection on the menu. We had the carbonara and calamari and the portions were big and food was tasty.
Amazing restaurant, fantastic food with a wonderful view over the river! Almost felt like we were in Italy. Truly excellent service as well. We were very impressed!
Delicious food. Great location next to the river. Ideal for a walk after dinner. We had the calzone. It was HUGE. They were happy to make us a doggy bag. Make sure to make a reservation its a very small venue
Italian ran, excellent food. I had their Pappardelle with short ribs and Penne Primavera and both were amazing. I ordered some Bruschetta as a starter and it was was quite incredible. Also had the Delizia Al Limone which was the best I ever had. They even added some wonderful lemon ice cream to go with the Delizia and strawberries and strawberry sauce on the side to mix with it. Although you may not expect to go to an Italian restaurant in a smaller Irish city, this place was well worth the two visits.
Lovely Italian restaurant with really great food!!!! lovely atmosphere, affordable and the staff are really friendly.
Really nice place with tasty food. Very good coffee and desserts. Friendly staff and reasonable prices.
