RSPB Black Devon Wetlands - Nature reserve in Bearsden, United Kingdom
Gyönyörű
Great little find and a diverse selection of bird species in a small area, well worth a return visit
Lovely setting. Great place to visit. Loved the wormery and miner bee viewing.
Beautifully quiet on this cold but sunny day.A swan was on the other side of the bird hide.Being on the other side and hidden from his view,we were able so to see every detail of this amazing creature.
Kids had a fantastic time, toilet behind every bush
Didnt visit at the best time of year, but theres lots of work evidently in progress and it will make a fantastic habitat with lots of educational tasks when its completed. Could use better parking and signing at the entrance.
Great place for bird watching &dog walking
Looking very well lovely place for walks
A lovely place for a quiet walk , and theres nature encouraging projects a good place for walking dogs , jogging and a nice stroll , peaceful area 😎😀
Great walk , be prepared for bugs
Great wee walk.
Good walks
Place is amazing always go with kids they love it
Nice walk
Great walk tae burn the dogs oot..
Great place for bird watching
Beautiful walk. Varied views with great wildlife. Saw a number of duck species, roe deer, 2 buzzards ,swans ,heron and numerous common bird species.
Good walk and family day out shame about irresponsible dog owners who cant clean up after their dogs.
Quiet gem. Well marked gravel paths through the wetlands. A hide beside the largest pond allows time to watch for water birds and a resting place. Parking can be a problem as there is no dedicated area but it is close to the town centre where there is adequate parking.
Grande spazio aperto tranquillo
Had dealings with them 3 times in 10 Years. Two swans one seagull ..GOOD PEOPLE.. 😉👏👏👏👏
Well maintained wetland, worth seeing.
Quietest Place in Clackmannanshire 😍🤣
Me n my dog love our walks here.
Very peaceful space for watching nature
Clearly marked paths make this area easy to navigate. Other paths are negotiable with some difficulty at this time of due to the height of the foliage. The attached photos give a rough idea of what the terrain is like in the surrounding area.
Short walk, not much to see
A bit windy but a nice walk down to the bird hide with our wee Grandson to see the swans etc
I think this has got to be a bit of a hidden gem in Clackmannanshire, as its just of the centre of Alloa (5min walk), and youre out into a large nature reserve. Now, yeah, for the first 5mins you are walking underneath pylons, but get beyond them and its actually rather nice! There are also options to walk out towards Clackmannan, and the Clackmannan Tower, so its nice to have the choices.
Great place to visit.. Nice flat path to follow..
A lovely walk and some nice wild life
Good place to go for a walk and see if you can spot different wildlife. The site is gradually becoming more mature and is very peaceful.
Nice place for a walk and the dog
Beautiful walk
Nice spot on the edge of Allow. Can be included in longer walks to Clackmannan.
Love this place.
Great walk and beautiful views. RSPB have done a great job with the pathways and cleaning up the ponds for wildlife. Especial thanks to Hannah from the RSPB for the guided tour and great chat. Will be going again.
Nice place for a walk and cycle. Surrounding area has good walks with more new paths being built. Should be a good wee nature spot as it matures over time
Its a nice area with great potential but too many dogs, its about time nature reserves were no go areas for dogs. There are enough places they can go without the disturbance they cause on nature reserves
Everything is a bit new just now but the hide and board walks look great. The electrical pilons running through the middle are a bit off putting however I hear they might be coming down now the power station is gone.
Bird spotting in the peace and quiet.
I visited today and was delighted to spend 30 minutes watching a Marsh Harriet hunting. However, I was disappointed to witness dogs running around off the leash. No chance of wildfowl settling.
Nice and peacful
