RM. Amado - Soto Banjar in Samarinda

Upon arriving in Samarinda before checking in a hotel, we had lunch here and they have wonderful sate. I didnt eat one though, I preferred eating soto. People come and go. It seems this restaurant is busy most of the time, means they serve delicious and tasty food.

I am not a fan of soto banjar, but this soto tasted great! Very tasty and fresh. They also have a juicy chicken satay and also coconut.

Meh. Soto was alright, not a lot of MSG so thats a good thing.Their "bistik" is technically ayam kecap. Huh?? And the satay are lacking in flavor. Why? Coz its breast meat that isnt seasoned enough and then unto the grill.

Its my first time. But, wow.!!! Their Soto Banjar is nearly perfect. And try also their kelapa kopyor syrup. This will be my favorite culinary place when I visit Samarinda. :)

This is my first time having soto banjar and enjoyed it. It is different from other soto in Java. I think that is why the people of Banjarmasin can claim soto banjar as their local dish. Tried also their es kelapa kopyor. I noticed that they have many customers from different background coming especially for soto banjar. I recommend this place for a local dish experience.

Authentic Soto Banjar!The best place in Samarinda to eat Soto Banjar! The diced meat in the chicken satay also have much bigger chunks than satay served in Jakarta. It is on another level.I will only reccomend this place to have a heavy meal. Not suitable for hangouts or meetings.

Amado is the most favorite place to eat soto banjar at samarinda, and they also have another menu like satay and fried rice. The place is a bit hot and smoky so dress simple if you want to here.

The Soto banjar was good, but three orange juice was just awful. Had a Soto banjar, 5 chicken skewers, orange juice,and an iced tea for 59k.

if anyone says the most delicious chicken satay in Indonesia it is clearly a lie there are still many other restaurants in Samarinda where chicken satay is much better and not burnt ..anf for its soto ayam also delicious but to be called the best? is still far away..but overall this place is ok..

I think this is the best sate ayam in Indonesia. The Soto is also very goodm. Many other dishes as well on the menu. Excellent value and I always come here when I am in Samarinda. Five stars

Tasty food but the price a little bit expensive for a warung style food

The most delicious Soto Banjar in town. You could choose whether with rice or ketupat, rice cooked in coconut leaf. Both are nice. This restaurant also have sate and some traditional snacks in the menu. Lunch time is always crowded, please be patient.
