Upscale golf course on the site of former tin mine, with a restaurant, pro shop & snack kiosks.
Very challenging course. Although course is abit old but still worth playing.. caddy KIK is good.
Great layout and challenging. A lot of risk and reward holes. Course was in decent shape for all the rain Phuket got. Definitely will come back again soon.
Absolutely awesome. If youre in Phuket, and play golf, you must play here.Course is fantastic, you need to be accurate as its either fairway or jungle, but if you can hit fairways youll love it.Course staff were all friendly and helpful and my caddie was great.I didnt take my clubs, so hired everything, and all equipment was very good. They even had shoes my size, which is hard to find in Asia (UK12).Not going to mention cost, as if that concerns you, you shouldnt be looking to play at nice courses in Asia.Highly recommended.
Challenging course. Well maintained. My caddy was experienced. Recommended as a must play course in phuket.
On Sunday June 12, 2022 I was at Red Mountain Golf Club. The Golf Course is nice, the price I had to pay was a very bad surprise. On this day I want to play 9 holes. We agreed upon a price of 2.950 Bath for Greenfee, clubs, caddy and a cart. The 4 ladies at the reception speak and understand the English language badly. That is why I wrote down our agreements on paper, see the attachment. The circuled total amount of 2.950 was correct. Alas lateron the lady of the clubs wanted 600 Bath extra. The credit of 400 Bath listed on the website was not correct, it had to be 200 Bath, not even enough to get 1 ball. I told them that I feel cheated. No reaction, no surprise.I want to speak the Manager. Sorry, there is no Manager available.Playing the other 9 holes the next day would cost me 7.100 Baht In total.Compared to the other nice golf courses on Phuket the Red Mountain Golf would be 5 times as expensive as the other Golf courses.
Very nice golf course with fast green speed. Price a bit high.
Very enjoyable day (May 2022at Red Mountain, course was in good condition and the greens were running true at around 10.It’s a good, interesting layout with holes varying in width and length. Good course that has severe undulation and topographical change. It’s a course that’s impossible to walk given some significant distances and hills between holes. To me, golf is a walking sport so this is a negative. The caddies were very knowledgeable and proactive. Particularly in reading the greens their experience shone through. The only major downside honestly is the price. 5500 baht is a lot for a round of golf, with caddy tip and transfers on top of that, it becomes a very expensive day out. Is it worth it for a once off if you like golf and are in Phuket, probably yes. But it wasn’t a compelling or interesting enough course for me to think about coming back.Overall an interesting and enjoyable day, but not value for money compared to the quality and cost of courses we are so privileged to have in Australia.
Thoroughly enjoyed our game here. Nice club, course and caddies were also great.
Unacceptable service. as one example, you can come, but no one will warn that cards are not accepted
Wonderful scenic golf course in Phuket. Well carved out among the red mountains. They have excellent golf equipment for hire. Fairways and greens are in excellent condition. Book through agency to get better green fee prices than directly. Caddies are well trained and have excellent knowledge about the greens. Would appreciate if they include 2 bottles of water with the green fee like most courses in Thailand. I heard from the pro shop that one gets special green fee rates if you stay at the trident hotel in Phuket. 17th hole is an excellent par 3.
Played here today March 10 2022 with my wife. Course layout is great and conditions very good, tees, bunkers, fairways and greens all very good. Highly recommended, on the negative side markings of hazards are poor so it is hard to know where a correct drop should be done as redstakes in particular are missing a lot, i would expect a little more from such a prestigous course. Having said that it is a very good course. Restaurant is a bit slow and not top either compared to e.g. Blue Canyon. I would definately give the course 5 stars but overall experince 4 due to the above.
Played here today and also played here 8 years ago. The course setting is amazing and the caddies are awesome and fun.Conditions were great except for all of the greens which were really sandy so it’s hard to get a good feel for the greens. However I’ve played everywhere else in Phuket and the greens at places like Mission Hills are way worse, so Red Mountain is way about average.Book through the travel agencies (Google itand get a good package price.
Such a beautiful natural setting that course does not need any landscaping. Every hole is different and offers a good level of challenge. We had an amazing time!
This is the most beautiful golf coarse i ever saw. Its just amazing to play there
Great course and caddies. Restaurant and Pro Shop staff kind but a little inefficient. Greens leave much to be desired. All-in-all I would play one more round here.
what a golfcourse! another superb layout in the middle of Phuket. Nearly every hole is a signature hole, except the real signature hole which is really nothing special, except it is 100m downward. Had a fantastic an fun time with my Thai Caddie Pim, which i can warmly recommend.
The price dropped significantly during Covid-19. This give me the chance to play here with Tour-Tiew-Thai at even lower price. I give five stars ++ to this course. Layout is fun. View is magnificent. Green is fast. Overall not very hard from weekend with handicap 20+ like me to play with fun. Compare with Blue Canyon which you need quite accurate approach shot to green or drop in bunker on front or back. Here is not so difficult as that. Will surely come back to play anytime I have a chance to visit Phuket. Already one of my favorite course in Thailand.
Beautiful course and great pricing with caddy and cart. The clubhouse has everything you need for rental: golf shoes and clubs.
This is a great Golf Course, Very reminiscent of Pacific Links Royal Hawaiian on Oahu.
In my view the most scenic and interesting of the Phuket golf courses. It my not have hosted the Johnny Walker like the Blue Canyon but aesthetically much more interesting to play. Gets my vote as the no 1 course on the island
This is the second golf course I played while I am spending my vacation in Phuket. I really like the arrangement of fairway amd green. You meed think about how to play before each hall starts. I really enjoyed, and I recommend this golf course.
Very beautiful and challenging golf course. The signature hole 17 is a unique one .
some parts of fairways were GUR. besides from that it was a great experience and worth the price. modern lockers, very scenic course and my caddy was worth the tip. true greens. spent the consumption voucher in the proshop.
When a deals on, its the hottest place. Phenomenal scenery and expert caddies! Isolated in the rural areas of Phuket the layout will engage you!
Very challenging course that is lovely to play. As always, early tee times are best because of the head!
Beautiful course! Amazingly well kept grounds, great course layout and stunning scenery. It was an enjoyable day of golf, rented clubs, fully caddied round. The caddies provided excellent service and made the round much more enjoyable. Cant say enough about our fabulous round of golf at the Red Mountain Club. Cant wait to return to Phuket and play another round of golf here!
A beautiful course! Fantastic service, would highly recommend
Great challenging course with very friendly staff. However, being a member is a rather poor experience with few benefits. Definitely not worth the expense. Management is not very respectful or encouraging of members. Organized more as a visitors experience. Great place to play once or on a coupon. I dont think anyone in management has actually belonged to a traditional club and has an understanding of how they operate in regards to members.
One of the best courses on the island. I little pricy, but worth it. The course is beautiful and in great condition. However, caddies and carts are mandatory, adding to the already high price.
Beautiful landscape and challenging layout. High quality Golf course. I think this is unique and one of the best golf courses in south east Asia . The only obstacle is hot temperature.
Good challenging course. Had a round here with NDC62. Fairways were undulating, Greens were soft. Caddie was professional, giving good advices. Would love to come again. Facilities were good. Clean and modern.
Played Oct 7th. Course while not overly long is quite intimidating from the tee, with water or jungle to deal with on most holes. Interesting and good looking course.Played during rainy season, with quite a bit of rain the day before. Considering this the fairways were in not bad shape however very wet, no roll on anything in the fairway with lots of plugged balls. The greens were cored sometime in early Sept and some were still pretty bumpy as well as top dressed made them slower than I like. The big let down was the bunkers which had all the sand washed down to the bottom of them so much so that you could see 2’ of landscaping fabric around the edges and under the lips.So for a walk in rate of 6000 Baht, I’d say very overpriced. I booked through a tour company for 4800 Baht plus caddy 400 plus cart 700 plus tip.Caddy was good. She said only 20 odd people booked to play the day I did, so obviously the course wasn’t interested in lowering the prices to get more business.Lots of better courses in Thailand for a lot less $$$
This golf course is “So Beautiful!”.Even in the low season!
Lovely course. Very good condition. Caddy knowledge first class. Yardage and reading greens. Good selection of hire clubs but lacked 10.5° drivers.
Beautiful and challenging golf course, course is in top condition. I played by myself and cruised through in 3 hours on a Sunday morning tee-off. Service and my caddie was excellent. Downside is the price.. it is very expensive.
Tremendous, as Mr Trump would say... beautiful, greens were slowish but held a 4 iron from 230 yards.. caddies good.. and what a setting..one of the best courses I have ever played...
My day was fantasticI gotta share my experience with Red Mountain golf course as it is not just beautiful but they maintain the conditions of fairway and green so perfect the day I played. Caddy was great as well. I was playing alone it took me just only 2.30 to finish 18 holes. The green fee is very costly so none of my friends was happy to pay 7,000 baht round of golf. I wish it could be lower price. But guessing the property owner must has thire own reason for that.
Big golf club, beautiful landscape and real red mountain
The best golf club in Phuket
Great golf course. Great caddies but unfortunately all spoiled by silly ethics. I booked my round through tour operator. Arrived at the course prior to tour operator and they would not assist me. Had to carry own bag to and from driving range. Secondly then had something to eat and drink after the round but because I did not spent more than 500Bath On food and drink I got charged an additional fee because I wanted to pay by credit card. Just silly things which spoils the day. I mean to play here is not cheap and then you get treated rather badly🤔🤔
Awesome round of golf and lots of care and attention from everyone at the club, My Caddy Oil (Surinwas a laugh and great reads of the green, she made the day enjoyable and easy going but rewarding round of golf.
Its not difficult to see why this exciting layout was named Red Mountain. Its harder to imagine how such a dramatically undulating landscape, where soft red rock and dense jungle are the principal ingredients, could be transformed into a challenging, yet playable layout. Particularly on the closing stretch the elevation changes, red rocky cliffs and dense tropical vegetation combine to create some of the most spectacular holes in Thailand. A truly breathtaking panorama awaits at the back of the 16th green. Its not often that such a great new course is created.Hats off to Jon Morrow, the architects first 18-hole design, for crafting what the club literature describes as "the most exciting golf course in Phuket" ....... perhaps "in Asia" might also apply.
Very nice golf course. Scenic and challenging especially of the tee. A bit pricey, but you have to pay some extra for an extraordinary experience :)
The best golf course in Phuket. Just beautiful. Nice view, every hole is different by something and very memorable. Exceptional design. Challenging but fair enough. Have to come back one day.
What a great round of golf. Beautiful scenery and a challenging course. More expensive than the other courses but well worth the experience
If you visit Phuket, you MUST play Red Mountain. Absolutely amazing course with elevation changes at every turn. 17th hole drops 150 feet off a cliff, no other hole like it. Caddy was fantastic too and a delicious lunch after the round.
Amazing golf course. A lot of water, and if there has been a lot of rain the fairways can be a bit soggy. But dont let that stop you.Club house views are fantastic, the caddies really know their stuff and there is a real jungle feel when travelling between some holes.
Well plan course and no blind holes. Good for both low and high handicap. Price is high but is very well maintained. Caddy well trained.
One of the best courses that I have ever played. Great layout and stunning scenery makes for an enjoyable day all round. The caddies are well trained and knowledgable.
I had the most fantastic caddy! The golf course was in superb condition and the 17th hole is a hole that you will never forget playing. I just wanted to stand there and hit golf balls all day. Amazing.
