Great little bar in Akureyri, popular with tourists and locals alike

Opened a few minutes late, so had to wait outside. Staff seemed annoyed and was unfriendly. Few people. No good ambience or vibe. Beer was OK. Will not return and cannot recommend.

The happy hour is fine. 3 drafts choices- one large for the price of one small. Sunday was super slow because of the holiday. The server was not friendly and I felt we were a nuisance just being there. Would not recommend for service. The 2 stars are for the beer only.

Great bar for a quick brewski and in a fantastic location in the heart of downtown. Loved the raspberry sour beer theyre currently offering! They also have live music here on a regular basis.

The location is nice, the beer is good but the waitress was extremely unfriendly and didnt make us feel welcome. Therefore only 3 stars.

Nice small cozy beer lounge. Was expecting a larger selection of beer but the options available are delicious. Happy hour from 17:00 to 19:00 makes for a bit of fun.

Friendly neighborhood bar. Beer is on the cheaper side for downtown. Staff are friendly.

This place has a great vibe. I went solo, ended up making local friends and got to witness some amazing live performances. The bartender Alfi was very friendly and suggested good drinks. Would love to go again if I ever return to Iceland.

Very funny for people to give this spot a bad review... Its a great stop. Their draft is all craft, yet limited, however they have a bottle and can selection as well behind the bar; all you have to do is ask. Staff was friendly, decor was nice, and it was nice and warm for us visitors in September. Definitely check it out!!

Foreigners are not welcome!!As always, before entering any place my wife and I put on our face masks and we walked in the door. We sat at the barstools that where open and waited for the bartender. At this point the bartender informed me that my face mask was insufficient. Being a little shocked by this she offered a medical mask. My face mask is thick, approved by the CDC, FAA, WHO and follows all guidelines from Iceland’s minister of health. Then we are informed the bar stools are closed. (The bar stools where not marked as closed and where in the usual bar stool position making no effort to inform customers they are closedAt this point we sign in, order a beer and are asked to sit at table 4. We are not offered any menu. About 2 min later the bartender REMOVES her mask and continues to work. Even greeting a new (Icelandiccustomer without a mask on! We promptly left and will not return. We are very understanding that covid rules are needed but they are they strict here with foreigners and no one else including staff?

I think it can be a nice place with the nice interior, music, and bar-staff. Tonight, restrictions were handeled a bit harshly, and it was not possible to have a chat to other people. Except for a loose dog, that walked freely and natural around. So much for allergies. I left my beer, before the scratching was getting to bad

Fun, small bar. Decor is clean and exciting. Service was great (have to order at bar).

Great selection of beer. Be aware that there is no food. Overall, pretty busy when we got here at 10pm but very cozy!

Very cosy bar/pub relaxing and a lot of different selection of people and groups mostly tourist though but I recommend this bar even to go in sit alone and meet and chat to new people.

The bartender was very peaceful and kind. He brews his own beer which was FANTASTIC! I got a bottle when I left to try, best beer of our Iceland trip, by far.Really recommmend this bar for good beers and a nice atmosphere!

Go here. The bartender was super friendly, a proud Icelandic guy with stories about the sagas and lots of beer knowledge. Its lots of beer, but thats popular judging by the packed out building on a Thursday! Nice to see it was lots of locals too.

Cool corner bar right by the main square in Akureyri. Seating is in a smaller room, casual coffee shop vibe. Order at the small bar. Beer selection is 8 Icelandic beers on draft and 20 or so can and bottle. Selection with helpful, providing information on several of the beers. My AirBNB was directly above this bar, so it worked out perfect.

The bartender called us to an idiot to his friend sitting at the bar after we had trouble opening the door. Im assuming he knew we were tourists but didnt know we spoke English. Very rude and didnt feel welcome. Our first impression of locals.

A very wide range of craft beers on tap and a grand selection of hard liquor. Service was good as well however, I would of liked to see a food selection no matter how simple. At the same time, I would understand why they would not have a good menu given how low key the area is and they want to just specialize in the booze aspect of the business. Surely worth a visit if in the Akureyri area.

Great selection of beers and you will be properly attended when going there. You will not be sorry, and be sure to ask your bartender for help choosing a beer since they are well educated in the beer stock they have.

Bartender had some great recommendations! The beer selection was really good and while it was busy, it wasnt loud or uncomfortable.

Small quiet and cosy. Speciality, a lot of micro brewery beers and a lot of knowledge. Talk to the bartender and discover the Icelandic beer culture.

Bartender was very knowledgeable about all the beers available! Fun atmosphere, yet casual. Happy hour specials available from 6-8 pm. Definitely recommended anyone stops by when passing through Akureyri!

When I walked in the door, the patron who was leaving said "wecome to the best bar in Akureyri." He wasnt wrong. A great craft beer selection of local Icelandic beers, and a very friendly beer tender. The prices are high, as is the case for most places (especially craft beer centricin Iceland. Worth a visit if youre looking for a beer in Akureyri!

Best bar Ive been ever. The bartender is tentative and is superbly knowledgeable about Icelandic breweries and beers. If you are a hop head, this is a must visit. Oh, and definitely strike a conversation with the bartender.

Wide variety of beers on tap, bartender was incredibly knowledgeable about beer and the local area. HALF OFF BEERS DURING HAPPY HOUR (18:00-20:00).

One of the better selections of draft beer and scotch that I have seen, in what feels like the northern edge of the world. How he does it, I do not know. Ask for a recommendation!
