R Takagi in Hobart

The sushi I received left me unimpressed.Some rice, not entirely sushi rice, just a blend of some regular rice and 5% of the roll I received was undercooked. Although just a few dollars, I dont think I will come back.Ps: surcharge sign is so small and hard to realised.

Tried salmon roll and prawn roll, the fillings inside were big and fresh. Surprisingly their sushi taste similar like sushi I make at home, a bit plain and I was expecting more seasoning and sauce on takeaway sushi. The shop is clean and service was pretty quick.

Expensive !!! Not a good variety of sushiThe board outside the store says its $3.90 but when you go inside, all the Sushi options are more than $4. Its a ripoff when there are so many cheap good sushi places in hobart.They do charge a tap and pay merchant fee as well.

I do enjoy coming here for sushi, miso and other dishes. Seems to be made well with passion.Usually wraps in paper or box for take away.A little on the expensive side but still comparable to others nearby. Not many seats to eat in.

Most authentic sushi in Hobart. Yes, other Sushi places offer more variety with greasy meats and mayonnaise but this place has what you typically find in Tokyo sushi outlets. Just well prepared rice and fresh simple ingredients.

Best Sushi in Hobart so farFresh, well made and tasty hand rolls! Great for a quick bite. Not much space inside but perfect to take away! Rice is well seasoned and a good balance of ingredients.

Not particularly good offering. Quite expensive at 4.50 a roll and the fillings are very small.

My go to Sushi joint. Always quick, sushi fresh. A treat every now and then. Not a huge amount of space inside, however it suits the place and takeway in small box gives it a neat touch.

Best sushi and sashimi in Hobart

This is my favorite place to buy sushi in the Hobart CBD. It doesnt seem to have as large a range to the other places I have visited. No contest for me when it comes to taste, always my first choice for sushi! Shop also offers indoor seating which is a bonus, some others in Hobart do not.

Had high expectation from a 4.4stars sushi place but this place aint special. Salmon doesnt taste much at all; salmon and avocado roll should actually have some avocado in it; rolls in general are a bit overpriced. Room for improvement here.

For Hobart this is lovely sushi, tastes fresh almost always and I eat there later in the arvo so the freshness is surprising, I saw a guy complain about the $10 minimum on eftpos yet he might not realise they only have a $0.18 surcharge which is a nice compromise.If the quality never changes I will never need to try anywhere else so thank you.

Without enough choices and sushi is quite normal . Not a good place to recommend ☹️.

Best sushi Ive ever had!

This is a good place and the sushi is great. But nowadays that $10.00 eftpos minimum has to stop. Consumers know that this is a wrought designed to get them to spend more money and that banks only charge minimal fees for eftpos transactions; and subsequently more places are dropping the eftpos minimum rule. This place is one of the few that still does it. Customers need to demand it stops.

Sushi was dry and seemed unfresh, but worst part was big sharp piece of broken glass hidden in the teriyaki chicken roll! Ouch!
