Quinto Sol Mexican Food & Tapas - Mexican restaurant in Marsala, Italy
High quality upscale MexicanI get the camarones Al cilantro, which are fantastic. It’s a small portion of shrimp and high priced, but the whole plate is a good deal as it comes with beans and rice and a rice salad (plus tortillas)
The venue is better than the best. A beautiful place to enjoy flavorful Mexican dishes. The bar is a must see piece of art. I tried the carne asada burrito dish which was delicious and more food than I could eat. Along with this, the Cadillac margarita was mixed well with an overall balanced flavor, not to tart, not to sweet. If I can identify a weakness in the force, I was pleased with the guacamole and hot sauce choices though the chips were a bit bland and possibly commercially produced. The service was impeccable, with attention to presentation, professional and friendly attitudes. Please note dishes are somewhat priced above the average. $$$. Check on line prior to sticker shock.Overall, this place is awesome and I recommend in the strongest way.
This place is unbearably mediocre. The service isn’t very attentive, the food isn’t very good, and the prices are ridiculous. The chips aren’t very salty and aren’t as good as Chipotle’s across the street. The salsas are like soup. The rice is incredibly bland and not worth eating. The mole has a complex flavor but not one that makes you want more of it. The pork in the enchiladas is tough and in huge chunks that are hard to eat. And for this middling quality, no stand out dish meal, it’s $50 a person without apps or desserts! This is why people hate the Bay Area. Save yourself the underwhelm and go get some actually good Mexican at Milagros instead.
This restaurant was absolutely amazing! I took my 17 year old son for dinner this evening and he thanked me multipletimes for treating him to such an exquisite meal. The service was great, food was phenomenal (super freshand flavorful, and the ambiance was so cozy. From the chips and salsa to our entrée, everything was so delicious. We will definitely be back!
Good food and great margaritas. It was a little pricey, but the portions were large.
Ordered Camarones AL Chipotle OR with Nueva Sauce - spicy and savory! and of course, weve got Margaritas, yes it was real Margaritas - they have so many different types and styles! Id love to try everything on the menu. We’ll come back for sure.
None of the appetizers (Guac, Quesadillas, Salsa, Elotewere particularly noteworthy or well seasoned but the enchiladas and burritos were decent. Nice ambience and fast service
We came here after work, 600pm, for HH and dinner today. I couldnt decide between the camarones but finally went with the camarones al cilantro from the Google pictures/reviews. I paired it with the anejo tequila flight cuz Ive been wanting to try the La Familia. The camarones al cilantro was very good but short on wow factor, barely grazing a 4.5/5 overall for platter. As for the price, I would have to agree with some reviews as being pricey for what you get. Guacamole seemed fresh and good, 4/5.The coctel camarones was delicious and fresh, 4.5/5. All items we had were quite good but seemed to be over price for the food. The drinks, margarita, Hendricks Tom Collins, and anejo flights were very reasonable. Our server, Godinez, provided 5/5 service.Overall, 4.5/5.
Food is ok, margarita selection is decent, but they put cheese on their tacos which is a bad sign.
Very nice ambience and decor, staff was nice. We ordered only appetizers which were good and decent size.
Good food, good service, reasonable prices, both indoor and patio seating.
Fantastic selection of drinks and food. Great service.
we went here for Friday dinner. The ambience is great and vibe is lively . We had to wait for around 30 minutes for a table.Server staff is great and friendly. The food on the other hand is mediocre, it’s Tex mex not authentic Mexican food. Cheese in everything. They give complimentary chips and salsa. Salsa is creamy liquid like not chunky. The only option of fish tacos you have is $25 entree under “specials” and not anything less than that. Not worth the price in my opinion. For a combo of $19 the tacos they serve has only meat options which is interesting that obvious choice in taco is not fish.It seems like this is great place if you want to grab cocktails/drinks with some light appetizers.
The best authentic Mexican food ever! Great atmosphere and fast service. $$
Quinto Sol is a lovely spot if you’re looking for great Mexican/poblano food. The atmosphere is so fresh, and the service is so warm. Angie assisted us and was so sweet and attentive to all of our requests. The inside has light-up trees and stars alongside beautiful floral pieces. The music is relaxing yet energetic. I recommend you stop by for the vegetarian rice, bean, and cheese burrito. Here’s an emoji summary of my experience: ⭐️ 🪵🌻😋
Amazing place with great food. Not to mention the endless list of liquor and cocktails. However, it is a bit on the expensive side compared to most other rmexican places.
The best series of Margaritas in the Bay Area. Nice outdoor patios. Very dog-friendly.
Worst food in Redwood CityI ordered a salad with pork, no seasoning at all and that mozzarella cheese made it worst. Too expensive for a simple ordinary saladI also ordered a Tamarindo margarita not good at allThe taco plate, OMG $26.00 where was the meat ?? Never going back
Food was very tasty but a bit pricey for what you got. Service was very good with the exception that it took quite a while to get chips and salsa in the beginning and when we asked to have a cocktail (Tamarind Margaritaexchanged for a different one (blue margaritabecause the tamarind margarita was not very tasty and was very weak. The waiter said it could not be exchanged, instead he offered to add more tamarind flavor which made it even weaker. The blue margarita was very delicious and strong, definitely recommend that.Other than that food is delicious, the staff is professional and courteous and the atmosphere is upbeat. Will probably not go back but its definitely worth a try if youve never been there.
Fabulous drinks. Great food. Great service. Lots of vegetarian options. Overall highky recommended!
Great ambiance and a lot of selection of drinks compared to other local spots.
Just the very best tortilla soup… after a movie we went to get dinner. Usually there is a wait but not this time…walked in and was seated. They just have dinning down. Don Julio Blanco margarita was the bomb…. If you an get in you must if you crave the very best Mexican food!!
Quinto Sol has the best margaritas in Redwood City, hands down. Highly recommend the "Master".The Queso Frito is also excellent 👌
Quinto sol - disappointed in there service. Servers need to be trained. We just received our appetizers and then several minutes later we are served dinner. Food ok not fantastic as before. Hope they can return to being a fantastic restaurant.
Pretty crowded spot. Food was ok. Portions were large. Parking around here can be tough.
My parents were harassed while eating and when they approached the staff asking them to call the police, they promptly told them, "You chose to eat here". I couldnt believe this. My parents were really upset considering the food was great and they liked the place, but this was inexcusable.
This place use to be good. When they first opened the restaurant the food was great. The staff was very friendly and attentive. However, in the last couple of months that I have been coming here the service is bad. The food is decent and the cocktail drinks are okay. Every time I come here I always get into a disagreement with the hostess about where to sit, and they have attitudes. The servers take their sweet time bringing our items or asking us if we want anything else. I hope they bring back their hospitality.
Easily the best margaritas in the bay that are made with a vast tequila selection.
Visited my family and friends. Loved the bar and bar staff. The vibe was fun, we had a few pitchers of margaritas served in a large tequila bottle to pour ourselves. The decor was really cool!
Weve been coming to Quinto Sol for years. Great food. The last 3 or 4 times weve been there, the service has been unbelievably bad. We had to ask for menus after waiting for 20 minutes, the food took 45 minutes to arrive, they couldnt deliver the check. Not sure whats going on, but its really bad service over and over again.
Love this place. Waiting are super friendly, great margaritas, food comes quickly, high quality and large portions. On weekends for dinner theres normally a wait. Indoor and outdoor seating. My go to restaurant to take friends when they visit.
The food was really good the outdoor sitting is really nice. I think the only bad thing or I dont want to say bad but its that I know its busy but there rushing out you dinner plate. I see people sitting & talking after the plates have left but there not being rushed out. But your sitting there literally it seems like you just finished the last spoon & theres someone there saying can I take that from you. Besides that I really liked it & Ill for sure go back even with that issue. Delicious
Best Mexican food in RWC. They have a huge variety of dishes that reflect regional Mexican cuisine (much more flavorful and authentic than Milagros, for example). Great margaritas too.
Came here for lunch. They have a relatively broad selection, the servers are attentive and friendly, our meal was delicious (nothing tasted overly greasy/heavy/salty/etc). Loved the complimentary chips and salsa.
Great food, delicious drinks, and attentive service. We came here on a whim this past weekend, it was our first time back since lockdown. They were very busy with the Fathers Day crowd and the service was impressive! Our food was flawless, the ceviche was amazing and the poblano pork loin stole the show! Our cocktails were perfectly balanced, flavorful and strong. Their outdoor dining area was spacious and comfortable and everyone we interacted with on staff was friendly and attentive. Thanks for a great night out, well be back again soon!
Quinto Sol has delicious Mexican food from a region that is not always widely represented here in California. The dish "Lomo de Cerdo" is absolutely delicious every bite is an explosion of flavor in your mouth.
This restaurant has consistently good food and good service. Weve eaten here often and tried several different items over the years and all have been so tasty. I tried their mole tonight for the first time on the recommendation of a friend. It was the best mole Ive ever had.
Good was really good. When my team suggested this place.. I wasnt happy to go to a Mexican place. But when I tried the food, it was amazing. Will definitely go there again. The enchiladas were good. There was another vegetarian dish with green peppers which was amazing.
A little more high end restaurant but the food is delicious. Highly recommend the Lomo de Cerdo or the Enchiladas en Mole.
Finally made it to this great visually appealing establishment. The atmosphere is more upscale to other offerings in the area, the service was very good as well. Unfortunately, that’s where things fell off. The food is very basic, the portions are generous but not much effort into the quality.Come here for a great visual, great margaritas, and service. DO NOT come here for the food. If I want Mexican flare, there are better offerings in the area.
We had dinner with our kids a few weeks ago here. Service was good, food was really great! Great atmosphere, it was busy but we didnt have to wait too long for a table for 4. Loved the chips and salsa. Lots of margaritas to try. Highly recommended.
Delicious food and can be a little wait but the service was attentive. The food came out very quick and very fresh. I will go back again!
Great Tex-Mex food at reasonable prices. The mole was a little sweet for my tastes but the chicken was juicy and the rice and beans were so-so. They have an extensive list of magaritas which they make without mixers and not too boozy.
The food is yumazing! I was a little bit torn on 4 or 5 stars, because its slightly pricey, but everything is so so so scrumptious and the service was great and the margaritas delightful. Seating has both stools and shorter armless chairs, so there are accessible options. Parking isnt always the easiest. The menu accommodates different dietary needs from vegan to omnivore. Note: I do not give 5s frequently, so when I do it reflects just how fricking delicious the vegetarian options were and that the rest of the experience was equally enjoyable. Because Im often out with omnivores, I get their input too before handing over the 5. Yall need to try this place! Flavorful, layered, creative, Mexican Mexican food. ¡Riquíssimo!
Absolutely wonderful Mexican food. Very friendly service. The seasoned and spiced corn on the cob alone had me hooked for a few visits. Casual, but high quality atmosphere.
Great drinks , bar tender was very friendly . He checked in on us a few times to make sure we where ok or needed anything . Nice setting feels magical. Definitely going back:)
Great and delicious food, in a vibrant setting full of energy. Wonderful selections of food, drinks, bar bites, and meals. With just one sip or bite youll discover their high quality and standards.
Fancy because it claims to be. Food is average at best, and over priced. I had the Pollo Guajillo which claimed to be a family recipe - it was chicken with a cream sauce, rice and beans. The sauce was unique and pretty good, but my plate had only those three flavors, and unfortunately all three items had the same texture. No bright, acidic flavors or crunchy vegetables to help the dish along. I was really impressed at first but thoroughly bored with the plate after only a few bites.
Nice ambiance but below average Mexican-American food. Dishes are overly spicy with chili powder and lack actual good taste because every dish is covered with some gravy or sauce.
Great food! The wait was a little frustrating. We were sitting on the only bench next to the hostesses and at one point noticed that others were going ahead of us. My friend inquired and they said theyd been calling us... We are right next to them! Anyway, we only had to wait about 20 minutes or so and once we were seated the server was very friendly and the food was fantastic! I had the Sopa Azteca and it was huge. I have half in my fridge today. The drink prices are a little steep so we stuck with water for the night as it was just a post-shopping dinner and nothing special.
