Quinta de Santa Eufémia - Winery in Vila Real, Portugal
Very enjoyable wine tasting and lovely view
Wow! If youre looking for a small quinta with a big experience THIS IS THE PLACE.we tested a few quintas which were more industrial and commercial and we absolutely loved the personal touch here.A big shout out to the lovely Lisa who took us through the tasting, shared insights into the history and family and how the wine and port was made.It offered an intimate and beautiful location to sample some of the best port weve ever had...Keep doing what youre doing and dont sell out to the Instagram followers!Tom and Amrita ❤
We have a very nice tasting with Lisa. Thank you very much. 😊
Wonderful wine tasting. Great value, beautiful views, knowledgeable and friendly staff. Delicious wines!!
I highly recommend Quinta de Santa Eufémia wineryExcellent location and serviceGreat selections ,, fair price ,, Wonderful tour
We booked reservations here in advance and we loved it! Highlight of our day for sure! Our hostess Lisa gave a beautiful tour of the winery as well as did a tasting with us. She was very knowledgeable about the ports and described the process to us. In addition we got to taste the cold pressed olive oil they make at this winery. It was exceptional! Could not recommend this place more, cant wait to return again one day! We did the 6 glass tasting and loved them all with very generous servings!
My wife and I visited Quinta Santa Eufémia earlier this week. It was by all measures the best winery experience either of us have ever had. The beauty, the wine and port quality, the personal treatment, it was all great. Lisa(sp?), our hostess, was exceptional.Highly Recommend!!!
Visited this vineyard and absolutely loved it. It’s family run and we had the privilege of meeting the eldest sister. She is very kind and hard working. The wines and port taste incredible. I highly recommend this vineyard. (Spectacular views!)
We are from the US and are not used to making reservations to taste wine. We showed up here, unannounced, and they accommodated us and were so nice about it!! The wines were delicious and we ended up buying a bottle of port from them, when we usually do not like port! They also have a beautiful viewpoint of the Douro River and their vineyards. If you are picking vineyards to visit, pick this one!!
Wonderful family owned and operated Vinyard producing high quality ports.
This is a must-visit Quinta in your tour of the Douro Valley. We had a lovely tasting and tried both Douro wine and olive oil. This family-run Quinta perfectly blends modernity with history and you can tell how well respected and cared for this vineyard is over generations. The host was lovely and engaging and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit, leaving with both wine and olive oil to take home.
Beautiful vineyards and winery. The staff makes the whole experience perfect!!! What a lovely day in the Duoro Valley and I would highly recommend a visit!
Great family owned winery. Grab the 20 year tawny. Great value for the money!
Quite interesting wine tasting tour
The best wines, a beautiful place, wonderful people!
Fabulous. Very friendly, helpful staff with excellent English. Great Ports and an easy to navigate tasting menu.
We stopped by unannounced on a chilly Tuesday morning in mid-December and were warmly welcomed by this quinta. The facilities are unique and genuine. The staff was very generous with her time. Very nice tasting.
Great people, great experience and of course great Port wines made by the owners in small quantity and pride the old fashioned way. Allin a great experience . Highly recommend. By far one of the most beautiful places in this part of the country A1+++
Excellent, informative and good wine particularly white douro
We were staying at a local hotel in September and passed the unassuming entrance on our way down to the river. The following day we went in ad lib with out reservation and we were received and integrated into their program by the family.Stayed for an excellent wine tasting advised by the girls!Ordered a reasonable quantity of port and wine.Came the following day to top up with rose port. The girls were excellent hosts and we would recommend a visit for both the winery tour, quality of wine/port and the hospitality.Don.t mention meat!John and Sue UK
Great - must see!
Great tour and hospitality
Great hosts!!
Omg this place, what a beautiful surprise. We booked last minute and Teresa welcomed us with open arms for a tour and tasting of the highest quality. For a very moderate price we got to try 10 (TEN!!different porto wines, and learned so much over this product and region. We ended up chatting with Teresa for over 2 hours and already cant wait to be back! One of the best experiences we have ever done!
We did several wine tastings in the region and this one was our favourite. Its a family owned business. The tour/wine tasting was supposed to be quite quick but Maria (wife of one of the ownerstook the time to explain and answer our questions. She was amazing and we ended spending two hours there! Thank you so much.
Lovely small family run quinta. Pick k and choose from several port tastings. douro doc wine tastings or combined. Food platters can be added if required. Very good value
Just the most wonderful place! Delicious port, delicious wine, fantastic tour. All Covid proof too! Spent a wonderful afternoon looking round and then relaxing with a beautiful view. Not expensive at all and worth every penny- I’ll be back!
Great experience, Teresa was an amazing host and great wines. Really recommend.
Wonderful place with the history and people around it. Personal level touch with visitors.
Lovely place. Lovely people and wonderful wine and port. The views from their deck are amazing. Rich history and lots of family pride show through during the tour and tasting. Well worth the trip. We purchased some olive oil and a bottle of their Grande Reserva blend. We are going to lay down the wine for a special occasion and enjoy the olive oil now.
Very good white port wines.
The base of porto wine. It is great to try it! 😄😄😄
Very kind and helpful staff. Gave us a personalized tour with last minute notice. Good Ports!
Friendly wine tasting and excellent port !!
A wonderful vineyard and winery experience! We didn’t have a reservation and they were kind enough to accept us and include us in their final tour of the day. It was small, personal, and directly with one of the family members of the property who is involved in the wine making process. She was extremely knowledgeable and explained their family process of making wine/port dating back almost a century or so. They make both wine and port. Their red and white wine are good but I believe their port wine is where they really shine. The 10 year and 20 year ports were excellent. I didn’t get to taste the 30 year but purchased a bottle. I’ll add/revise my post once I try it. The drive up and down the mountain is beautiful and has many breathtaking views. You need to be very careful if you’re driving though, as the roads are are narrow and winding with many blind turns. Take it slow and pay attention and you’ll be fine. Well worth the drive though and an experience to remember and worth making!
Amazing location great views and generous tastings. Go here during the September season and you might even get to stomp some wine😊
Beautiful winery 🍷
Well worth visiting. Spectacular views. Very pleasant tasting.
Top quality wine, you can visit the place and learn about the family history, very beautiful spots and views! Also be sure to try the wine tasting!
We arrived without a reservation and were lucky to join a (verysmall group tour. We even got to try olive oil straight from the cold press. The tasting was so much fun. So many wines, all very delicious, and great snacks to go with it. We talked and shared stories for a while, felt like we were just relaxing in someones home. Highly recommend you visit here, but call ahead if you can. Also, I would try not to drive up from N222. It was EXTREMELY scary!
Very good
Great Porto old wine..very unique
A brilliant place to see a small family winery in operation. Friendly and personal.
Tasty portovine and interesting explanation
A little, out of the way, family run winery, but has a very informative tour (that we didn’t even have a reservation for!). They have a very interesting wine tasting + food pairing. Worth a visit.
Good port nice people
Small, family-owned and family-run Port winery of the best kind. In the family for four generations. Very intimate tour and tasting, and the wines are wonderful. Because it is small, it is worth trying to call ahead to make sure they can accommodate you, although I was able to stop in unscheduled. Highly recommended.
Very personal tour and fantastic tasting
Great port
