Hip gastropub for artisanal eats & a curated beer selection in a renovated bi-level storefront.
Love this place so nice and good drink !!!
Cozy atmosphere at night, definitely would recommend the gnocchi.
They have really great burger.
$21 for wild boar sloppy Joe and fries. Sounds good, right? The presentation was great with a fried egg on top, but the sloppy Joe flavor was bland, almost flavorless. I ate the pickles just to have some flavor in mouth.
Tartare is served with dry stale “toast” it is bland and tasteless. Im sure the rest of the menu is better
Great drinks, their coffee based cocktail is really good
Random lookup on Google maps - burger was really good. Old Fashioned (I had 2.), was really strong, gave me a bit of a hangover the next day. Probably my fault for drinking too fast.
Nice pub! We had made a reservation and got seated immediately. Once we sat down we noticed the server that was attending our section wouldn’t come to our table. But, we know it’s busy and we kept reading thru the menu. 15 minutes later a gentleman who we come to find out is the manager asked if anyone had been to our table and we said, “not yet”. He apologized and said to give him one minute. He then brought us water and said our first round of drinks was on him. It was very nice of him to offer that because we weren’t going to complain but we saw the waitress had zero interest in coming to our table. We were only 3 at a table. When our food was being brought out, the waitress that was avoiding us was carrying two of the plates and was very rude. To be honest, we don’t know why but she was giving better service to 4 gentlemen next to us.Other than that, the food was excellent! And seriously one of the best old fashions I’ve had!
Super friendly and great service! Their strawberry margarita is delicious! Food was yummy as well.
I don’t like writing bad reviews but unfortunately I came away feeling pretty fed up after dinner at Quinn’s.Me and my partner were greeted in a cold and unfriendly manner, the barman seemed totally uninterested as did the server. We ordered two 12oz Belgian beers, both tasted a bit flat (we’re British and know good European beer), it seemed as though they were from the bottom of the keg despite the barman saying otherwise. The service was incredibly poor, especially for this price point. The ‘pub’ wasn’t even half full. Numerous times I tried to get the servers attention while she was more interested in checking her phone.Once dinner finally arrived, it was mediocre. We had two hanger steaks, one with the potatoes and the other with fries. Fries were definitely from a bag and way too salty, the hanger steak tasted nice and was cooked well, but both of ours were cold. My partner commented on his potatoes being cold too, and the chef bizarrely served this with a “corn salsa” which was cold too — and the corn, from a tin. The red wine jus that accompanied the steaks tasted good, but again, was stone cold.Admittedly we ate most of our food because we were crazy hungry — if the server had bothered to come and check on us to see if everything was ok, we would have said something.Honestly, with as much competition in Capitol Hill as there is, this place needs to do much, much, better. We won’t be returning. Please sort your staff out, I’ve personally worked in service myself for years and know how hard a job it can be — but there is no reason for totally disinterested and frankly, rude, staff. We tipped below average, because, you made sure to make us feel totally unwelcome, so, thanks!
Great food, location and drinks! Don’t miss the carrots and the chicken sandwich.
Overpriced and poor service. Bit into a burger that was completely raw inside, when I had ordered medium. Then took forever to get it remade.
It’s a little expensive but everything I’ve had here as well as the service has been great! I am particularly very impressed an appreciative of how awesome the staff and cocktails were during Pride weekend even though they were slammed.
Quinns burgers are legendary, and for good reason. Juicy and perfectly medium rare with a great brioche bun. I also appreciate a touch of my Canadian homeland on the menu with their quite excellent take on poutine. But also their cocktail tonight (the sage infused Missed Opportunityhad a great balance of tart and bubbly with remarkably enjoyable herbaceous nose notes. My wife had a really well done grilled chicken Caesar salad and the roasted carrots with Korean spices. A successful meal here, as always. A reliability excellent favourite place of ours.
Good casual location in Capitol Hill for a weekend dinner. I love the atmosphere of this pub. The four is because the food is relatively decent even good but it has misses like maybe if you customize or order they forget or the fries are tasty and nice and salty but theyre a little colder than they should be when they get to.
PROS: Great atmosphere, close to a lot of things in case you need to stop in for a quick bite or some drinks, cocktail was solidCONS: Food was okay, not a large beer selectionOverall, just a decent place to stop in for some quick drinks and nice ambiance. It didnt really do anything badly, but didnt offer anything that would make me want to return unless I happened to be in the area.
Nice dining experience! However, the vegetarian menu is pretty limited. It would be awesome if the Quinns Burger would be offered using Impossible Foods.
Its hard to find good food in Cap Hill, every time I visit Seattle I find myself headed downtown or near the lake to find good food (obviously theres even more south but thats a story for another day). I went to Quinns with some friends and we had a great time. While its a pub they have good food. Elevated bar food if you will. We all ended up getting the steak, apparently one of us had been having a craving for steak from Quinns for days. I got it medium rare and it was well seasoned and super tender. I like the way the potatoes kind of just stretched and the asparagus was just right. I got the creme brulee for dessert while my friends got the cheesecake and they mentioned the creme brulee is their always dessert at Quinns but they wanted to get something new. The food came out really fast, would definitely recommend.
Fairly upscale while maintaining a very neighborhood-bar vibe. Great for conversation as the music remains in the background. Cocktails are okay, definitely recommend the potatoes and the bone marrow. Pretty wholesome fried chicken sandwich. Ill gladly hang there again.
This is the absolute best burger and fries weve had in forever. It wasnt crowded so we werent sure what it was going to be like. We shared one and we both loved, loved it. Thank you!
Amazing restaurant! Had the pretzel appetizer (so good we had to order another for the tableand the hanger steak was melt-in-your-mouth perfection, seasoned perfectly. Fun cocktails too! Will definitely make a point to go back here.
Good service, decent food. Very lively vibes. They are currently very chill about covid (no masks required or worn by staffif thats important to you. A somewhat limited food menu selection, but lots of beer options
Its a great place to go on a date! We arrived on a Sunday at 4 p.m., when they first opened. The bartender was incredibly attentive and continually checking in on us because we were the first ones to come when they opened. We ordered the Poutine Fries and Bone Marrow as appetizers, and the Sloppy Joe and Burger as our main course. strongly suggested and will be back.
We were greeted by a very nice bartender. Our server took a long time to get to us and didnt make a lot of trips back to check on us. I ordered a drink that didnt taste very good and upset my stomach. Watermelon something. I also got pretzels because they didnt have anything for dessert except for flan. Flan... at an Irish pub. Super disappointing. The pretzels were hard, and the cheese was almost flavorless. We paid and left with no fanfare, and we wont be back.
Amazing service, excellent drinks, and great oysters. Benji, you rock!
Got the poutine and beet salad, and would definitely order again! Partner ordered the Wild Boar sloppy joe and Caesar salad, which I stole a few bites of, and can report that those dishes were also really delicious! Will definitely be returning.
It is not a restaurant with lots of variety, but what they serve are good. Fish and chips was good. Burgers are great. The cocktails were delicious. Good casual dining experience in the heart of Capitol Hill.
Quinns is a favorite. I dont know how to describe that everything Ive ever had there has been great. I love how knowledgeable the staff is about their drinks and food. Seeing a giant block of ice carved into a huge cube just for my drink, the lighting, atmosphere, all make for an incredibly special place.
Special dinner spot for my wife and I as the convo for us to plan getting married happened here and has followed through. Will be an anniversary place to come for years to come :)
Its a minor life goal of mine to try all the "best" burgers in Seattle, a never-ending quest thats taken me to some outstanding restaurants around the city. Add Quinns to that list! As a caveat, I got the Quinns Burger, not the off-menu behemoth that features an egg and wild boar as accoutrements. The flavor of the burger is carried by the aioli and bacon jam combination - the meat is great quality, but very lightly seasoned - and the white cheddar really pulled it all together. Im personally not a huge fan of the potato roll bun, but it didnt detract too much for me. Their cocktails are very well prepared, and my wife also really enjoyed the fish and chips she ordered. All in all, another great stop on my burger quest, and Id recommend it to anyone on their own journey to burger fulfillment.
Outstanding food and cocktails! I really enjoyed my burger today, plus I could pick it up easily just down the street. Great service too: they offered me a drink for a delay in making my food. Don’t miss out!
My favorite spot - I’ve been going for years, often for my birthday. Missed opportunity is my favorite cocktail - refreshing and unique. Beer is great, burger is great, sloppy joe is great. Wish they had a larger menu though perhaps with some more veggie/fish options.
Absolutely delicious eclectic menu with outstanding selection of beer, wine and cocktails
Wow, just wow. Had a private event here and the staff, food and especially drinks were amazing. Definitely put this on your must visit list when in Seattle.
Im going back through places Ive been and reviewing some, and this popped up. I stopped by Quinns Pub a couple years ago while on a business trip. I didnt have long in the area, so I looked for a place to get some food and a nice drink before I left. Thankfully I found here.It has been a few years and I still remember the born marrow and scotch egg I got. They were both by far the best I had ever eaten. The drinks were expertly done as well, but the food was absolutely phenomenal.
Came in to kill time before a show at Neumos. Was pleasantly surprised by the menu choices. The staff was focused and friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu items. Best bang for your buck on Pike St. For sure. The cheese plate was killer and the drink selection is well refined. Will definitely be stopping back in next time Im in the area.
This is a restaurant but the name makes it sound like an Irish bar. The scotch egg starter was great. There was also a $35 set menu which I had and thoroughly enjoyed. A good choice of wine and excellent service from Chad.
Quinns has the disadvantage of being overpriced and faux-classy, while not standing out in any way. Its where the graduated frat boy with a newly exciting income might take his undergrad date to impress her, maybe before hitting something trendy at neumos across the street. There is better food, better beer, more exotic cocktails, and generally classier, cheaper stuff within a block or two in any direction. But when you want to do better than cramming into the dive bars and are nervous about the hushed reserve of the gourmet restaurants, you wont go far wrong with Quinns. If all their prices were 50-60% of what they ask now, I would give them another star.
A fine food and casual gastropub. Dont miss the scotch egg and brandade. Very little will disappoint and the beer selection is great.
Amazing doesnt do this place justice. So many choices, so many great choices. We couldnt stop with the verbal mmms, , oohing and awwws. Waiter was great, atmosphere equally as great. Dont miss your chance to stop in you will not regret it.
Let me preface this by saying I LOVE salt and salty food.We ordered the poutine fries with foie gras, the bone marrow, and the Quinn Burger. Portions were pretty good but damn, this was some of the saltiest food Ive ever had in a restaurant. I think if they took it easy on that I could have liked it. Maybe a one time thing or maybe thats just how it is. Definitely bummed out considering a pre-tip price of $55 for one entree and a couple appetizers. I guess thats Seattle pricing for you.Service wasnt too friendly either. Maybe Im not a likeable patron.Tldr; I dont see what the fuss is about...
We got the pork shank, some grilled asparagus, and a papperdelle pasta dish. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable & the dishes really hit the spot. No complaints here.
Have been here multiple times, always great food and lots of Belgian beers
First time visiting. Great food and fantastic service. We had the bone marrow as a starter and it was more than enough to share for the table. The ratio of chips to fish was way off, but thats not really a complaint. I had a candied ginger drink and it was quite strong. I was very impressed with pretty much everything.
I like Quinn’s. I’ve come here a lot over the years and it’s been a dependable place; solid gastro-pub food and good atmosphere. Last night...not so good. Burger was uninspired and raw to the point of inedible, and fries that were below average. 4 people, 2 starters for the group, a burger and 2 drinks each...and a $175 bill. Disappointing. I may go back, but only based on previous visits. If my only data point was last night, I’d never return. Don’t know if the management has changed but I hope someone there reads this because Quinn’s you can do better. Please.
Went to this place as the only vegetarian in a group. They had one option for vegetarians (had egg), but the staff were willing to make other options in a vegetarian style if possible. The food was really tasty and very much appreciated by everybody in the group. The waiter was super helpful. He literally explained the qualities of different beers (upon asking the detailsso that we could get a sense of how each would taste. The food and beer quality was really good, and everyone enjoyed the meal completely.
Food was good. The portions were just right. The staff is lovely. The place is a bit loud. Typical crowd gathered a bit on the pronounced hipster side.
Kind of over priced for the quality, but the drinks were good. Also one of the odd places you can get bone marrow, which was tasty but could have been slow roasted longer. Was kind of cold on the inside. Also the $16 burger had not good fries. Get it together Quinns. Service was great though!
Love this gastropub. Decent whisky selection and food is so delicious. Salt Cod Fritters my favorite for sure! Bone Marrow was on the menu once and was nice and fatty although lacking in some complimentary flavors. Roast chicken very tender. Lots of wood and metal and brick. Warm atmosphere, friendly bartenders.
Came here on a Sunday night for a solo dinner at the bar. No trouble getting seated. The spacing is cozy, but theres an upstairs and downstairs setting that allows for ample seating. The bar is expansive, with a similarly expansive draft beer, bottled beer, wine, and cocktail list. The bartenders have been prompt, friendly, and willing to offer suggestions.Food is on point - had and strongly suggested burger, which is a well seasoned, cooked to order, melt in your mouth beef patty topped with strips of perfectly cooked bacon, a pronounced white cheddar, and mayonnaise. My only complaint was something on the burger to make the texture more interesting. The fries were basic, and served with ketchup, but perfectly cooked. Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.I would recommend this location for visitors.
