Un parque muy acogedor con mucha historia
A museum and a historical center, its the perfect place to learn more about Queens as well as learn about the family that occupied the home! Please keep in mind that this is a small museum, so unlike the larger museums, there are a limited number of staff. I would like to give a huge shoutout to all the amazing staff there who work tirelessly to keep the museum open and running.--update 2022Underrated museum located in Flushing. There is so much history here and much to learn!
Embarrassing place
Programs and community hospitality excellent. Historical records resource for Queens county.
Giving socially distant tours of the Kingsland Homestead. Our tour guide Jaren was super knowledgeable and couldnt be any nicer. The tour is for a half hour only because of covid rules. I felt like I stepped back in time. You could almost feel the spirits of those that have lived there before. The Weeping Beech trees are just magnificent to see. Quite a treat and only a 5 minute drive.
Is okay
Dedicated staff puts on an innovative series of exhibitions and programming. Always something new to see here!
Both the changing exhibits and the house itself are well worth seeing. In addition, Queens Historical Society offers walking tours, in-house film screenings, and seminars on a variety of very informative Queens-related subjects. It’s quite easy to reach by train (#7 line). Worth the trip!
Very informative about the history of Queens.
Old building
My Experience l like go there anytime.
We went today, and the museum was supposed to be open, but we were imformed that the museum was closed because the "docent was not there." Why couldnt they have posted this information on their website? It is inconsiderate and disrespectful for this place to promote themselves through NYC media and then turn away the visitors.
Good
Amazing little stop if your traveling this part of queens. Great staff
The Queens Historical Society is the best place to learn about the history of European settlement in Queens, New York. The Society is located in the landmark Kingsland Manor, which includes a superb replica of a Victorian parlor. Would highly recommend attending their many talks, tours, and exhibits.
One of the 1st landmark in Nyc
Great to visit and learn about Queens history
