General Santos City, South Cotabato, Philippines, Cotabato
Lawned city park on Sarangani Bay with beachside cabanas & a number of trees for shade.
Try this new place beside queen tuna park the South by the bay. Its a place for chillin and dining by the bay. Enjoy the sound of the bay and live music..
Nice place ,
The public beach park of General Santos City. Its like a version of Manila Bay but much cleaner tho. Swimming here is not allowed, but people still do.
There are so many restrictions since the water is tested with bacteria yet people still swim and go with their own risk. They enjoyed it somehow.
Nothing is really catching in the area..its like a dating place. You can rent 40 pesos for the bench if you want rest there. The gate put signage Beach close.
Its so great 👍👍
Good place to fly a drone in General Santos city
Need to be cleaned and restored
Already improved and clean but could be better
Nice place and the area since it was a bay side, hoping that they will make it cleaner less garbage and provide Trashcan improve better.
It was a beautiful place before during my college days. But now? I cant imagine what had happen. So dirty and you will really know that somehow it was partly abandoned.
A free public beach very close to city centreUnfortunately, its partially open unofficially
Nice view and sea breeze but the park could be improved and get cleaned up
Its a nice place but they should develop the place and clean the area.
Nice improvement theres a lot of tree. Hope the next mayor will make this a official tourist spot. Makes more improvement putting white sand
Very relaxing. Although the beach is closed for the.meantime 😊
Always been a recipient of Earth Day celebration, last 2019 a scubasurero and coastal cleanup drive activity was conducted to help remove trash in the oceans and preserving its marine life.
The place is clean due to a good maintenance but the water tested it is still high in ecoli bacteria....
When I was 8, it was very dirty, but now I guess its very clean already, the people used to not care about this amazing beach.
Nice place to chill.
If you want to go swimming in the beach within the city, for free, then this is the place, dont expect that it is beautiful and clean though. 😅
A Public Beach for everyone to visit, black sand and nice people
Not safe,, during night. a lot of Sukarap or Street kids snatched my phone and some old lady ask for sex for 150 pesos.
The place is much better now than before. A lot of people are now enjoying its clean and tranquil environment. The picture was taken during my visit there early in the morning.
Used to be called Lion’s Beach, this is now the only free beach in downtown Dadiangas. Not fit for swimming because of its choliform content but locals still come here. Check out the Queen Tuna arch at the entrance.
The location is good but the place is not ideal for a vacation for a lot of garbages can be seen. The water is also very dirty.
The only remaining free-to-the-public beach. Could use some sprucing up and improvement. Bamboo huts are available for picnickers. Too bad this has gone to the bottom list of the local governments priority areas for improvement. #TouristSpot #GensanLandmark #LetsGuideAccessibility ♿ Review: No toilets fit for Wheelchair-bound people. From the car park, the huts can easily be accessed.
It does not look like a park anymore . It looks like an abandoned park without anything to offer aside from the sea view.
A nice place if you want to inhale some fresh sea air but dont have the time to travel to the resorts outside of gensan. Entry is free, renting a bench is around 20 Pesos.
great place to have a swim especially early in the morning.. clean quenn tuna park.. we always and always go back.. thanks sox..!!
The beach is well maintained, clean and it is where you can get to mingle with simple and happy folks.
Felt very sad... This could be a great place for us Generals. If this been renovated and free from iligal settlers . Hope it could be done before 2020! Gensan Bay park for us!
A badly maintained place with a few half dilapidated cottages and a dirty beach. The so called lawn is a dirt parking lot
I have not visited it for a while but i heard its a perfect place to date or magpahangin lang. There are benches, huts and you can simply sit on the sand. If there are trashes, those are due to the boats that docks there but the government have maintainance people. Its quite windy in the afternoon and i liked to walk just outside the park, on the red colored pavement pretending im at another country. It is near Goldestate University so youll see a lot of students and near Pendatun avenue where there is a night food market that starts at 6pm. So you can go there and grab a quick bite of different street foods and inihaw after Queen Tuna Park closes at 6 or 6:30pm, i think. Oh and its also one of the best place to view the sunset.
Simple quiet park with a few benches, not crowded at sunset time, sometimes there are ships near the shore. Theres some floating trash along the beach front but as such its a safe place.
Its a beach within in the city and its the Generals favorite choice because of its accessibility and budgetwise its free. Safe for kids and adults alike with baywatcher (often they are not aroundon standby. Surroundings are moderate tidy but restroom is a distance away and stink. Should the government make this place like baywalk no doubt its a tourists attraction.
God Creations always reminds.me to hold on and stay on Gods love!Honor and Glory belong to Gods Alone
Enjoying the cool sea breeze at night feels like heaven. The Queen Tuna Park (formerly Lions beachis one considered as attraction at the city. But sanitation and maintenance is so poor that degrades the attractiveness of the place. We pray for improvements in this place, as it could be the next Gensans tourist destination. Cottages were already destroyed and the place is too dark.
Theyve improve the lions beach now. Its famous now as the Queen Tuna park so that the old figure would pass away.
Nice place to mingle with locals although sand is not perfect, you will have a glimpse of gen santos u shape bay
This is the park by the sea of the mass
Good for bypassers to have a selfie/groufie..
Nice view of sunset . What I really dont like about this place are those people supposed to be maintain the cleanliness in this place but it seems like they dont care and If there s an event in this place? They gonna interrupt you and ask if did you pay for the seats or not. Really showing disrespectful..: ( sorry guys!
Queen Tuna Park or QTP is the Nearest Local Beach in General Santos City. Or shall i say its the Citys Beach... and vest of all its free.
Sunday morning and there is a flock of people, adults and children enjoying the sea and sun. The place needs a make-over and clean up to attract more visitors.
Its a beach, not a park. Free entrace!
A nice place to enjoy in the evening and watch the bay sunset and the cool sea breeze. Besides that the park as well as the beach is unkempt and dirty. The plastic seats there are not free. There are small shops and huts in the area. Children running about begging for money. Theres a definite room for improvement and a bigger potential for this neglected space.
Small beach on the coastline of gensan. A little bit dirty and in the evening quite dangerous. Within the day it is calm there.
2stars for being free. But people living within this area charge people for using their tables n chairs. They also occupy the supposed to be free cottages.
Not your favorite beach stop, but it surely is a place where you can get one of the best sunset view in Gensan.
