Casual brewery & tasting room set in a renovated warehouse offering pints, flights & growlers.
We are not IPA fans, so this was a great brewery for us. (However, they will take care of IPA fans as well.We ended up at the bar with one of the owners and really enjoyed meeting him and hearing his story. Our service was great! So many great options.
A wonderful experience every time. Pleasent staff, amazing beer and amazing prices.
Queen City > zero gravity all day everyday. Skip the one across the street you won’t be disappointed by the great beers of Queen City
If you like German beers this is a great place to stop by. In a sea of IPAs its nice to have something a little different and they do German beers great! It wasnt too busy here and there is a nice pizza place in the same building that you can order from. One of the better breweries we tried in the area.
Awesome English style ales - a nice change of pace from the overwhelming number of IPAs on tap everywhere else. The Landlady ESB is one of the best Ive had.Apparently they have some lagers as well, but I really saw no need to bother when I can get ESB by the pint.
Nice ambience and one of the best Hefeweizens I’ve ever had. Attached to a pizza place with delicious food. The tap list is mostly German beers and not many IPAs which was a nice change from some of the more IPA-focused breweries.
Bartender disappeared for quite a while, we ended up just leaving. Bummer as we really wanted to try this place… but not worth waiting 15 mins+ for her to reappear.
Dont sleep on this brewery with excellent lagers and other German styles of beer on draft. Talk your IPA obsessed buddies into popping over right next to Zero Gravity, because this place is easily a top 3 brewery in Burlington.
They have an great variety of beers, including both ales and lagers. All are excellent.Be aware, however, that they do not serve food, so you should bring your own.
Finally! The brewery that doesnt have 95% of its selection as IPAs. Phew! Thank you for delicious ales, porters, stouts, belgium triples, etc. I had a sampler and every single beer was on point. You are a breath of fresh air ❤💗 I will be bAack!
Excellent variety of microbrew beers in a local hangout. Not corporate. A couple 6 packs to go. Bring your own Growler or buy theirs. Didnt buy food but many peeps buying pizza
Fantastic quality beer and now a nice outdoor patio too! Bring your own food if you want or pizza from right next door!
We stopped for just a few quick beers before a concert, and enjoyed it here. The spin on foreign beers was great, and I enjoyed many of them. Bartenders were fast even though it was very busy. The hipster crowd kinda have us weird looks, but didnt stop us from having a good time with some good brews!
Lots of German and English style beers. A little bit or miss but none below average
Great beer, great vibe. Awesome group of customers today. Several people with their dogs, a couple enjoying a beer while writing their Christmas cards, and several cool welcoming regulars. My wife and I will be spending more time here for sure.
Its a decent spot, not my favorite because Im not a huge German beer fan. I like an occasional dunkel or weizen but definitely not my go to. Nice enough people and a cute little brewery with an outdoor area that allows pups. I will say, the pizza joint next door is bomb! The picture below has the pizza in it, look at all those pepperonis!
I cannot speak for their IPAs, but they have an excellent selection of other beers. The weisenbock was tasty and delightful. Beers on par with my home state of Wisconsin.
16 of their own beers in a variety of styles available. Friendly service. Dog friendly. A bit coY if the outside patio isnt open. No food but you can order from the pizza place next door.
My husband really enjoyed the beers here. I unfortunately didnt seem to find one that I loved.
Great beer selection at an accessible location on Pine St. I loved the outdoor seating area, very fun place to meet up for a beer. Appreciate the close parking and also a handicap accessible entrance. Thanks and Ill be back soon!
Great local South End Beers amazing staff, easy parking, south end. Food Wednesday to Sunday at Pizza 44 next door. Eat in the Brewery, Their ales and lagers will not disappoint. Bushwick is my favorite! Outdoor Space, nice airy high ceiling pub space!
The beer was very different than what I’m use to, that being said it was great to try different beers and the bartender was very knowledgeable
Awesome beer, excellent variety of European style ales. The owners are very nice and knowledgeable. 10/10 would go again
Awesome location and great selection of English and German style beer, which is a nice change of pace in Burlington. The venue itself is very comfortable and Sam is fantastic!
My buddies and I (party of 14had a reservation and were waiting out in front for the 5 min prior to our reservation to pass. Someone from management came out and kicked us off the property saying we couldnt be on the property with any other alcohol (we had walked from zero gravity). We immediately apologized and got rid of what we had with us and went around back for our reservation, but the same guy refused to allow us into his establishment. Very rude, we didnt know we did anything wrong and had no warning. I will not be visiting again.
A very nice space. They serve a large selection of beers, mostly German and English styles, but there were also a Belgian or two. Most of their beers are not "out there" (read: pushing the boundaries of the BJCP style guidelines), but everything I sampled was quite good. It was refreshing to be able to get some more traditional beers that were done well. One suggestion: a bigger sign out front! :-)
Really delicious beer and a step outside what most of the other breweries in town are doing - definitely different styles and more variety. They had some outdoor seating when I went last month!
This place is awesome!!!! If youre like me and like German beers... you should come here. Some very well done English beers as well. Good growler pricing and nice, friendly staff.
This place has a more interesting selection of beers than you typically see (only a single IPA on tap). It’s conveniently attached to a pizza place, too. The bar area is a little small, but there’s adequate seating/tables.
Beer to try: Vienna! Great atmosphere! Front of the building is a pizzaria with a solid selection of brick oven pizzas. Tell them youre sitting in the back for the brews and they text you when the order is ready.
Love this brewery! Their selection of beers was vast. They brew many beer styles that you normally dont find anymore like barley wines and scotch ales. Welcoming place with great staff. Answered any questions people had and offered samples to help people pick the right beer. Be sure to stop in if your in the area!
When youre looking for something different than your typical IPA slinging brewery, you have to check this one out! There is an art to lagers and the like, and theyve perfected it. I only wish we lived closer!
Brewery that specializes in British and German style beers. Vienna lager and helles were very good, the others were hit or miss. Information on “untapped” doesn’t always match what the beer is. Layout was nice. Even though there were only two other customers in the place, service was slow.
Unassuming little brewery that had a great vibe - people were pleasant, some good stoner rock on the sound system, good pricing. Beers are mostly traditional English and German styles, nothing extremely experimental, although the BA Saison with local Brett was an interesting one. Also enjoyed the oatmeal export stout, good flavor. Bartender was friendly and attentive. Seemed like it would be a great place to hang out if I was a local, and the only thing that held it back from five stars for me was hoping for a little more variation in the beers themselves. Would stop back again.
I loved that this brewery has committed to German beer styles. Everything we tried was great and the bartender was friendly and helpful. There are small food items available for purchase if you are hungry.
The beer is great. The bartenders are great, even if theyre Yankee fans. The pretzels are a little dry, I guess. They have microwaved bratwursts for four bucks if youre hungry, and theyre great. I recommend the good mustard. The Belgian tripel and the hefeweisen are both delicious.
Burlington has a number of craft breweries, and my wife was kind enough to let me visit many of them on our recent vacation. Maybe its just the season, but the Burlington craft beer scene is, to me, very heavy on IPAs and sours, accounting for 75% or more of the selections on tap at most of the breweries we visited. If youre like me and generally prefer a wider variety of styles, go to Queen City Brewery. There youll find not only an IPA, but also lagers, dunkel, mai bock, ESB, porter, stout, hefeweizen, Belgian-style tripel, and more - even a smoky rauchbier. This is one brewery to which Id definitely return if we ever get back to Burlington!
Really love this place, often have business meetings here, however some of the people I met up with today didnt seem to have as good an experience. Overall, excellent beer and really good service. Highly recommend.
While unassuming, Queen City brewery stands as an iconic brewery within the vibrant Vermont brewing scene. The only place Queen City gets tripped up, is their massive number of beers sometimes results in some "misses", while their hits are absolutely exceptional. While other breweries have a more consistent product, Queen City seems to take a more widespread approach, which results in lower valleys but higher peaks. Bearing that in mind, even their less-successful brews far exceed the quality of the vast majority of other breweries.
If you like a good amber ale its hard to beat their Munich dunkel beer. I like the hide in plain site aspect of this place. Unless you know its here you would guess from the outside that there is a brewery here. Its has a nice at home feel to it..
Exceptionally well made beer offerings closely following style, abv, technique, and ingredients. The Steinbeer is a work of art made once a year. Knowledgeable and friendly staff will tell all about their unique processes too
Walked in to find a nice space with variety of seating to choose from. Staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. They offer a wide variety of beer types - I absolutely love Monk their Belgian Triple. Flights are available. Hope to visit again soon - it was a wonderful experience.
That helles lager... Subtle, punchy complexity, beautiful grain aromas supported by a mild touch of hops. More breweries should be so intelligent.
Best brewery in town. Great atmosphere. Knowledgeable staff. Only downside is that the brewers do not visit with the patrons. Try "Landlady", you will not regret it!
We had 2 flights and enjoyed every beer. Friendly staff and great display of beer memorabilia.
Bar is built in the middle of the brewery for a nice effect. Amazing service. Attentive staff quite knowledgeable about beer and about Burlington. Perfect except that pretzels are the only food.
Tucked in behind another business, QCB can be easy to miss, so keep your eyes open. Once inside expect to chat with friendly staff in a great looking setting. They like beer and hockey, so whats not to love? I only had the porter and was very pleased.
This place rocks! My fiancee and I recently did our own "brewery crawl" down pine street and the surrounding area and this was one of our stops. The prices are great for flights and there was lots to try. They also were the only place we found that offered some sort of snack to munch on for free, the pretzels (great idea). The ambiance is great and you are right next to the brewing equipment. Its also in a convenient location. If you love the Vermont beer scene, this is a must!
Absolutely awesome experience. Nice tasting room, was really impressed with the beers they had on tap. The bar tenders where very friendly and knowledgeable. Great atmosphere, hope it will remain the same enjoyable place to go and enjoy a beer or multiple beers.
Queen City Brewery has a pretty awesome atmosphere. The entire staff is friendly and the beer tastes great. They are always coming up with great new flavors. Its a must try!
