Quann Park - Dog park in Beaver Dam, United States
Its a giant, open and fenced in area. It has water to swim, grass and benches in spots, and is what one would expect in a dog park.
Great dog park with a ton of space
Absolutely LOVE LOVE this dog park. Most people are friendly and their dogs. Gigantic fenced in park with good walking paths, gravel and mowed paths. Multiple entrances. I think 3 different sections but all connected. Its supposed to be separate the smaller dogs from the big but everyone uses the area. People even leave their left over water in the park before they leave for the next dog, not often but it happens. There is a bubler near the entrance where the tennis court and soccer field is, not sure if it works though. I should probably test it and update this. My dog loves this place. A couple of picnic spots to sit down on. No shade but its an open dog park, not really expected. I recommend this park if you want to wear your pooch out.
Great dog park! No trees, so I dont have to worry about losing my geriatric dog (I can always see him and easily find him)
Great open space, Eve is having a blast, and meeting new friends 🐕
Big open space. A landfill renewed as a dog park. No trees, some gravel walkways, other well worn pathways. Nice and big and mostly flat.
Wide open space for the pooches to play. Not much shade or really any bells and whistles for that matter, but it is a big dedicated chunk of land for off leash. Good for owners who want to get some exercise too!
Large dog park with plenty of room to run around
Great place for dogs to go off leash. Lots of friendly folks and dogs. Even opportunity for dogs to have access to Wingra Creek. Even during large Alliant Energy Center events the west side of the park is still open.
Good dog park, mostly gravel trails in the off leash area but plenty of space for the dogs to run!
Its a nice dog park. Not very busy so its great for my lone pup. Usually its us and like maybe 4 or 5 other dogs?
We love Quann. Not only is there giant space for dogs to run, the Yahara River offers a place for them to cool off and fetch. This makes for a happy pup. Happy pup, happy parents!
I bring my dog to Quann every day. Walking around the outside of the field can get you about 20-30 mins. If you include the little section along the river (my dog likes to chase the ducks so we don’t do this all the timethat adds a few minutes and some nice variability. The park itself is mostly just a field but is big enough that my dog has to check out all of the grass patches which gets him pretty distracted. He loves to chase the birds that will hang out, and this is a great spot to play fetch. The other dogs are also great, I haven’t had one bad interaction! The only downside is that it’s just a field, if there were some trees or meadows or something different it would be better. Also, the location is ideal, especially if you’re anywhere near downtown.
Great dog park. Lots of trails and plenty of space.
Very large open space, not ideal for my small dogs but better than no dog park.
Great park. One of the dog‘s favorite. Huge running area for dogs. Good walking paths for humans.
Huge dog park, my pup loves it and its a great place to walk around! There are gravel paths all through the park and the rest is dirt and grass, so it gets muddy when its rainy or at all wet out. Its not the best for strollers but I brought mine and it was okay!
Great park, tons of room for the dogs. Both levels have well maintained paths for the humans, too! Trash bags are always stocked and most people are pretty good about cleaning up after their dogs. My boys personally love the sectioned off area with access to the creek for a quick swim before running through the acres of fields to dry off and play!
Absolutely huge off leash dog park with multiple entrances. A number of well maintained paths and lots of grass to run around in. Only downside is the lack of shade.
Great open field with a nearby river walk about 1/4 mile long. Very limited to no shade in the field. No water hose. High grass in the field makes it annoying to find dog poop.
Courts and nets are in nice shape. There is a single porta potty but would be nice if there were restrooms with running water. Also it gets breezy so wish there were windscreens.
My puppers favorite park. Surprisingly large and very close to downtown. 1000% recommend it over brittingham dog park. Sometimes Ill take my dog and go on a run. 3 laps around the perimeter is almost exactly 2.5 miles. See pic for a tired out, very happy dog!
The river edge area is wonderful and has a great diversity of plants. However they sometimes spray pesticides in there with the sign right in the middle which you see only after your dog is in it. The open space is good for runners to go around the edge. I really like that they recently fenced off areas so parts of it can still be open even during events at the Alliant Energy Center. You of course run into rude people with rude dogs at any dog park, but this isnt the parks fault.
Its a big space for the dogs to walk around, what else can you ask for?
Such an open area and amazing land space. My dogs were so happy there, and I will definitely be going back!
This park is a decent size and completely open. There are gravel roads to walk on throughout the middle and a mowed path around the edge. Theres no shade or water available.
Size wise- outstanding, beautiful park. However, on both occasions I came it was filled with dog owners wanting to keep their dogs away from the others (then why are you here?). Dogs naturally growl and wrestle with each other, it’s a normal part of their nature; screaming at them isn’t going to change that and makes you look quite stupid. Also, it’s a dog park. So if another dog gets you or your dog muddy, that’s your problem. It seems a lot of the people who bring their dogs here have difficulty coming to terms with those two things.
Nice park for being in the city. Big fenced in lawn with walking paths. Access to water through a gate in the northern park of the park.
Very large dog park, with lots of visability to see your dog wherever they go. There is a trail that goes around there park too. Its a great place to let them run and for owners to get a walk in as well.
Very good Park overall. Large space. Dogs really get to stretch their legs. Great place for a fetch. I think the open feel of the space makes my dogs feel at ease meeting new dogs and people.Just some mounds and figure 8ish trail. Not too much else going on ... No trees or other features.
Love taking my German Shepherd here! Such a big area! Water bowls available, I bring a gallon of water with me to share in all the bowls
Very big open area for dogs. Friendly dogs and people. Fences looked secure. Minus one star because the grass was dug up in many places with tractor tire ruts. Dogs got very dirty.
This place never disappoints. Centrally located, great grounds and a bonus separated area for your dogs to swim. Additionally, theres a hose to rinse your dog off at the front of the park! People are always kind and a majority of the dogs are well trained. Great place
Fantastic wide open dog oasis with a separate swimming area. No shade unless you are down at the creek.
Great dog park. Fewer trees than I would like though. Gets real hot in the summer.
Quann Park is the largest dog park in Madison, and has a short paved trail on the river where dogs can cool off. It is also one of the only dog parks with easy access to a water fountain. The downside is that it is closed for about half the summer for high-impact events at the Alliant Energy Center which leave it littered with cow dung from an agricultural show or dye from a color run. We go there because its close, but be prepared to be turned away at the gate in disappointment.
Just under a mile on the outer loop. Great park to go if you enjoy a leisurely run with your dog off leash. Wingra creek on the baseball side if pooch needs a quick dip. VERY muddy after a rain
Fabulous space to allow dogs to roam and have fun! Definitely encourage Madison residents to take advantage of this space.
Big open space for dogs to run around. Clean, friendly visitors. Big enough that you can be alone if you want, but busy enough that your dog will have plenty of others to socialize with if that is what youre looking for.
This dog park is great! A huge open space that is nice for not only dogs to get their exercise, but nice for owners to get in a nice walk/hike as Well! Lots of dogs friends there on weekends, but a fair amount in the evenings as well
Huge open fields with gravel walking paths. Great for long walks off-leash. Creek for swimming on the side. Drinking water available in warm weather. Only a couple benches and trees for shade. If you have small dogs, keep an eye out for predatory birds. Sometimes closed for Alliant Energy Center events.
Great dog park, but theyre unreliable. They dont post online or near the entrance to the grounds when they are closed. Have driven all the way to the park multiple times only to see a sign on the fence saying its closed.
This is a nice dog park. Its very large but it is exposed; best to avoid on a blustery day.
Besides the occasional infestation of horse trailers overflowing from events at the nearby Alliant Energy Center, this is a great spot for canine exercise. Perks include an adjacent creek and lots of open space, but beware mud and horse dung.
A large off-leash dog area for dogs to play.
This park is way to big! Owners have no control over their dogs. All you hear are owners continuously calling their dogs name with few dogs returning to their owners. I have taken my dog there 6 times now and 3 times we have a bad experience. The two big ones were, she was attacked by a dog slightly larger than here. The dog was bitting her and my dog was yelping loudly. The owner did nothing but walk away and yell for the dog to come, while my dog hobbled away. Another time my dog was playing with another dog. The other dogs owner wanted to leave and just kept calling for her dog but her dog wouldnt stop playing. She then became frustrated with me that I was allowing my dog to play with hers. I had no problem with them playing, she was the one who wanted to leave. I then had to leash my dog and leave because the woman was getting so frustrated. People here cannot control there dogs.
One of the closest dog parks to our home. Huge open space with paths crossing and circling the park. This area is not wooded and line of site on my dog is typically clear if she gets a little too far away. Occasionally the park will be closed to the dogs and used as parking for Coliseum events - if it is not too cold I will visit the adjoining fenced off area that runs along Wingra Creek ... also a great place to let Peaches swim if its nice and hot.
I take my dog to the dog park there every day since its convenient. The large area is sort of barren as its on a land fill and there are no trees. But there is an area along the creek. The only downside is that the city is applying pesticide to the foliage between the path and the creek. Not sure why.
Large fenced in area for our dog to explore. Great gravel walk ways for us to follow along. Maintained well
Huge dog park with great pathways for walking. Attached is a smaller dog park that is bordered by the creek, with a dog beach for summer swimming. There are no water fountains for dogs or people, though.
