A quaint Buddhist temple in a byelane that I discovered by accident while looking for the Hoa Lo prison nearby. A very peaceful place with plenty of decorations.

I miss this pagoda. I will visit here again.
No entrance fee. Quaint pagoda in the middle of the city, very tranquil place, perfect to relax or meditate.
The best pagoda to see in Hanoi. Its charming will calm you down from busy street noise of Hanoi.
Nothing extraordinary. If you have some time in your hands and are in this area, visit it. One of those pagodas thats open till late.
A beautiful (peacefulBuddhist temple set amidst the frenetic traffic and chaos of the Hanoi streets outside!! Not many westerners visit so best to be mindful of national customs and let the locals in front as they conduct their prayers at each of the alters and settings.

They conduct worship celebrations around 2pm everyday, timings differ due to local or Buddhist festivals..Worth visiting site!!
Vị Lai Vegetarian - Decor is nice, but too me food was so so.
One of the best Heritage place in Vietnam. Must see place.
Worth stopping by if you are nearby. I went here on an afternoon and it was very peaceful.
Stop by if you’re in the area. We went past 2pm and there was a service/ceremony going on so we didn’t enter the main building. It’s one of the more preserved pagodas we’ve seen in Vietnam and definitely the most photogenic by far.
All the good things depend on you. Temple, pagoda will support you guys to do the good thing!
This is the head office of Vietnamese Buddhist Sangha. A very nice temple in the center of Hanoi. You can also found so many old photos of the previous/late venerables or other special occasions like the Prime Minister visits etc.
Like other buddist temple. You can find out peaceful here also lovely history of that back to 15 century.
Beautiful pagoda in the Hanoi centre. Worth visiting, if you are coming nearby. There is no entrance fee and the atmosphere during the ceremony is really peaceful and nice.
Small temple grounds and shrine. It’s well-tended and pleasantly separated from the city street outside. Lots of shops for joss sticks and offerings if needed, plus Buddhist educational materials. Not a big place, but pretty and worth a stop-in.
Calm, relaxing, and rather tranquil for downtown Hanoi. Architecturally it’s nothing to write home about, but it’s right around the block from the Hoa La prison and it’s free, so it’s definitely worth the side trip
A calm and cool place for minds. Beautiful architecture.
This temple is a little more modern than some of the other temples in Ha Noi . Its also distinguished by having a slightly larger garden outside. Free entrance (no ticket requiredwhich is an added bonus.
Low key temple. Free entry.

People using this place a lot. Very full and busy during the day. Nice style too.

Headquarters of the Buddhist Sangha of Vietnam.
Quan Su Temple was built in the 15th century under the Lê Dynasty. At that time there was no Buddhist temple here but some cottages used as a place of worship. According to Hoàng Lê nhất thống chí, during Emperor Le The Tongs reign, Chiem Thanh (Champa), Ai Lao (Laosusually sent ambassadors to offer tributes to Đại Việt (official name of Viet Nam under the Lê Dynasty). The Emperor ordered to construct a building called Quan Su (Embassyto receive foreign ambassadors to Thăng Long. Because those ambassadors were all Buddhist, they decided to build a temple on the premises for worship. Today only the temple remains.According to Doctor Le Duy Trungs essay carved on the 1855 stele, the temple was close to Hau Quan Base in the early years of Gia Long Era (1802–1819). In 1822, the temple was renovated so that the local residents could practise worship here. When the troops withdrew, the temple was returned to the villagers. Monk Thanh Phuong, who hosted the temple then, had corridors built, statues painted, bell made. The front palace is dedicated to the Buddha and the rear palace is dedicate to Master Minh Khong of the Lý Dynasty.
