This offshoot of an NYC chophouse offers steaks & seafood in a deco hotel with a butcher-shop feel.
Took my partner here for her birthday dinner. We had the two person special. Which came with appetizer, main course, dessert with 4 different glass of wine. Let me start by staying this was the best steak I ever had. The service was impeccable and I will definitely go back. I would give them 10 stars if it was possible.
We had the most incredible dinner here last night. Our waiter, Christian, was super friendly and made great suggestions when it came to pairing drinks or adding sides. The food was familiar but also so unique. Our favorites were the corn brûlée, the Waygu steak, and the stratchiatella salad. Our dessert was burnt marshmallow ice cream and it was incredible. We wish we had time on our vacation to go back.
Was very much anticipating this meal with my wife and daughter for Valentines Day in Miami Beach. I pass a Quality Meats everyday in NYC going to work and always wanted to go! Got there, sat, all good. The waiter was arrogant when he arrived, snipped at daughter when she said she had a fish allergy... Snickered actually. Strike one. Food was just ok, for $450 dollars, it just did not pass the Quality test, appetizers cold, strike 2. I wish we found another place with much better service and food to share Valentines with my daughter and wife, understand it is Valentines day, but is was not packed and services was awful, food not great. I will not go back to Quality Meats or their other restaurants again. This is the fist one star review I have left.
Do not go to STK!!! Pick QUALITY MEATS instead!!!! We are at both places last weekend, and Quality Meats has much more amazing staff and food!!! They never once let you want for anything. Everything was brought out in a timely manner, and nothing came or went without a smile. We ordered a house salad, tomato salad layered with burrata cheese, a ribeye & filet as well as Brussel sprouts and small roasted potatoes. For dessert we got a s’mores ice cream and salted caramel creme brûlée. Our only complaints would be the restrooms are two floors up 😳 and the fillet was super SALTY. It was perfectly cooked otherwise.
Don’t go here. Bad food and bad service. The waiter shamelessly tries to upsell you on everything and they don’t know how to cook steak. For example, we selected a $70 wine and the waiter recommended a $100 one. When we asked why, he gave the most absurd reasoning saying “we keep those bottles outsides so the temperature will be bad”.... I was baffled by this nonsensical recommendation. We ordered 2 steaks and 3 starters for two people, but once again the waiter kept pushing us to order more food when clearly it was already more than enough. He did this several times and it became super uncomfortable. He clearly didn’t care about our experience and only did this to increase his own tip.I ordered the tomahawk which was cooked medium , but had no flavour at all. didn’t enjoy it and certainly not worth the price. My girlfriend ordered the sirloin which arrived almost completely raw. We asked them to take it back to have it cooked to medium as ordered , and when it was brought back it was completely charred and inedible.Surprise surprise it was included in the bill, so I asked the general manager to remove the inedible sirloin form our bill. The general manager was kind enough to say he would take care of this as it was the right thing to do.He then spent the next 10 minutes awkwardly going back and forth with our waiter, who then had the audacity to come back acting as if nothing happened. I had to explain to him that the steak was inedible, that I spoke to his boss who said they would remove it from the bill. Only then did the waiter go back and bring the corrected bill.Shameful! Big steak guy, but I’m never going back here.
Food, ambiance, attentive wait staff were all very good. Nice wine list. We were hesitant to eat here due to some of the negative reviews we saw. Glad we took a chance. Price point was high but on par with the area steak houses.
We had a great experience here. Their wine dinner is an awesome deal. The staff was amazing and the meat was truly fantastic. This is definitely a good place to sit and enjoy an amazing steak.
Had a magnificent dinner here with the family. We got a few appetizers, some delicious cocktails and for the main course a double rib (rare), two tomahawk ribs (medium rareand a smaller steak with chimichuri sauce. All the steaks were cooked to perfection, well seasoned and had a delicious sear to lock in the flavors. Our waiter hand made then steak sauce with mortem and pestle while the steak was we’re cooking and that paired with the mushrooms created a delicious umami that’s placed it in the top five steaks I have had. If you are in Miami and want some steaks... head to south beach and check this place out.
Whoa...blown away by the corned beef brisket..quite possibly the best ive EVER tasted...and im not a fan of brisket. Now I know its only because its because noones ever cooked it as good as this place!
Bread and watermelon was so good. Octopus was amazing. The burger was ok and fries were a bit cold.
Excellent food; appetizers to desserts, outstanding! Great selection of wines. The filet Mignon was cooked to perfection. I asked for medium-well, and it was perfectly done. I did not have to asked to be butterfly cut.
For the price, I expected top notch. My partners steak was notably bigger than mine. Its a 4 star steakhouse. Their sides need some help. The spinach was “watery”and the filled potato was nothing to write home about either 😕. The food was mediocre for the level they are advertising. I just wanted the best steakhouse in Miami for my trip. I will keep looking.
From beginning to end our service was amazing. We ate at different restaurants each day and nothing topped this. We got there 20 minutes early for our reservation and were still seated immediately. Our server, Sabina (sp?was amazing. She was very knowledgeable of the full menu and recommended some items for us when we were confused. My husband is real picky on how his steak is cooked and it was cooked to perfection! My fish was just as great and the corn creme brulee was like a dinner and dessert all in one. We will be back next time we are in Miami!
Our initial intent was to go for the Miami Spice menu, but when we arrived, we found a "Wine Dinner" menu that had unlimited wine pours (Yes, unlimitedalong with a similar Spice style menu. So of course we did the wine dinner, and it was spectacular! For the appetizer, I opted for the bacon in pepper jelly and peanut butter, and it was fantastic. If you have not had the bacon peanut butter combo, go do it right now! We also had bone marrow and a salmon poke bowl at the table for appetizers, both were great.I had the filet for the main dish, which was exactly what youd expect for a filet mignon. I was able to sample the crispy sweet and spicy pork belly- I would definitely recommend this dish, the crispy finish and not too overpowering flavor was savory and fulfilling.Desserts and sides were tasty and satisfying as well.Go here. Do the wine dinner. Have someone else drive. Be ready to nap/sleep shortly after with a belly full of meats, treats, and wine.
Ate here on 7/22/2019, my friend and I both order Tomahawk Rib as recommended although it was cooked perfectly at a medium temp red center the meat was terrible. The steak had no flavor and after s few bites we gave up attempting to eat anymore. We informed the waiter of the dissatisfaction and he said he was sorry. After $194.00 I will never eat there again
Once again a 10 out of 10. The bone in filet was perfection. The Gnocchi was out of this world. We had the pork belly (picturedthey have as a main as an appetizer to share and was a great way to star the meal. Been here 5 or 6 times and definitely worth the trip.
I cant say enough good things about Quality Meats. I went with client for dinner and the staff were just awesome. They were very professional and recommended some great food and drinks. We talked with the night manager whom was just brilliant and very happy to spend a little time with us. Food - wow, wow, wow. It was great to have a medium rare filet steak with all the trimmings. I will be back and plan to visit the Quality Steak in NYC. ENJOY!
Such a great quality of food is really uncommon. The meat and dishes of this restaurant are absolutely mind-blowing. A true culinary orgasm. The choice of wines is also ideal. And appreciate it as Im a French saying much good about American wines. 😂
Had a wonderful time in this joint. Awesome good portions. They have a happy hour here so come get that steak. Awesome drinks great steaks and a good location. Near the beach and hotels. Highly recommend it. Much better than the nyc location by far.
When you order medium stake and getting a well done tasteless piece. To expensive. We have now traveled around south Florida, and Miami Beach has been the most expensive place compared to what you get.
Excellent experience! Outstanding service. Focused menu. Delicious dessert.
First time and I can honestly say best dinner I ever had. Staff was pleasant and food was exceptional. I had the Bone Marrow as an appetizer and it was delicious. I had the Bone-in Sirloin and it was magnificent. Cooked to perfection. Favorite side is the truffle mashed potatoes.
I thoroughly enjoyed my visit here, we were celebrating our wedding anniversary and the glass of fizz on arrival was a lovely touch. Food was good, if expensive. Steak sauce prepared fresh at your table was unusual too, though not to my taste. Service was top class right up to the last moment when we were brought the bill without having asked for it. We may have refused dessert but we werent offered another drink or coffee. Disappointing given the money we spent.
Came here on New Years Eve (12/31/18for an 8pm reservation party of two. We got our seats immediately and drinks soon thereafter. We ordered the prix fixe dinner (roughly an 8 course). The food was excellent. There was a bit of wait from the time we ordered the prix fixe to the time the food started to come out, but we were the lucky ones. The tables arriving after us had much longer waits. Excellent food! Expect to wait during peak times.
Family came here for New years Eve dinner. Food and cocktails tasted fine, but our main entrees (steakstook over 45min to come out. Our dinner was then cut short to make room for the next reservation. Which is fine since it was NYE and a busy night, but we werent happy with how they did it, especially since it was their fault that we were there so long. We ordered coffee at the end, but they gave us the bill and kicked us out right after ordering! At least they didnt charge us for the coffee...
After spending hours searching endlessly for a steakhouse in Miami Beach that had a nice atmosphere along with outdoor seating and somewhat reasonably priced, we stumbled upon ‘Quality Meats’. What really drew is in was the bone marrow appetizer. The location and ambiance lived up to the expectations, while waiting to be seated, my boyfriend and I were reviewing the menu at the hostess stand, we saw that one of the steaks we wanted to try that was displayed online was not shown. We sat down and realized the bone marrow dish was not on the menu either! Upset, we decided to stay since we were already there. We shared the porter house and got the mushrooms and gnocchi Mac and cheese as sides. The steak was great (came out really fastand the sides were ok, nothing special. The staff was a bit odd also, we felt as if the staff was not very experienced and did not know anything about being a server. We left disappointed as this was our last dinner on vacation.
Quality Meats lives up to its name. Quality steaks, craft cocktails, professional service. A very trendy crowd.
Quality Meats is definitely for those who are fed up with predictable steakhouse at the South Beach, or a too much contemporary bustling club at the Mid-Beach. The steakhouse has an atmosphere, with fantastic service and excellent taste menu. Must have to visit if your mood is steak and youre at South Beach. They make perfect dry martinis.
Amazing wait staff that was down to earth, personable and took 100% great care to us. Food was unbelievable and was definitely one of the best steaks Ive ever had. The table made steak was a nice touch as well. Located along Collins Ave in the Art Deco district, the sites while sitting outside were wonderful as well.
We had a fabulous dinner here. The service was spectacular and the food delicious. We have the bacon with peanut sauce as an appetizer and WOW!! so good. The filet was tender and tasty. A great place for a nice dinner. Environment lively and sometimes loud. Great for people watching.
Wow, just wow, everything i had here was amazing, serving sizes great, service was incredible, great bartender, just wow
Miami Spice 2018: had such an enjoyable time for a birthday dinner that I forgot to take pictures of our dishes for my review! (and I am not one to forget 🤦🏻♀️). Anyhow, the food was incredible. Between our whole party we had every option on the Miami Spice menu and no one was disappointed. Everything from the bread at the table, to the steak sauce was impeccable. The service was also great, the drinks were strong, and they even brought out a special dessert for the birthday girl.Highly Recommend: house cured slab bacon or salmon poke for your appetizer, salmon dish or pork belly for the entree, and the pecan pie for dessert. There were a lot of pecans, but it had a delicious soft center.
Amazing food, service was great and the decor is fitting to the name will most definitely come back
Great steaks, am awesome choice for Miami spice. Only thing Id like to warn everyone is, if you dont want to be charged $18 for water, make sure to emphasize tap water when they ask if you want sparkling or stilled..
This place was amazing! Started off by going to the bar and the cocktails were phenomenal! I went for Miami Spice so I ordered off that menu. It was a great experience. From the PB&J bacon to the filet mignon, everything was tasty and well presented. Im looking forward to returning!
We loved it! We were walking along the street and my wife noticed the sign, "Quality Meats." We thought it was a meat market or butcher. My wife looked it up on Yelp and found that it had great reviews, so we made reservations. My wife and I had the wine dinner special. We started with a Tomato and mozzarella salad and fresh catch crudo. Both were fantastic. My wife ordered the filet and I ordered the tomahawk. They were cooked to perfection and were delicious! The corn creme brule is a must add to the dinner. The ice creams that we had for dessert were also excellent. The service was also top notch! Dont pass on this place. Its fantastic!
I am not one to leave reviews but after my experience tonight I will definitely leave one. We came here to celebrate my sisters birthday and our server was great so the one star is definitely not for the server it is for the management. When I received my Caesar salad I grabbed my fork and took a bite and it was good but when I felt my fork I felt something hanging from it. When I looked at it I couldn’t believe my eyes it looked like a cockroach shedded on the fork. Now I have previously worked in the hospitality field and I know when you polish silverware you put it in a tray and then set the table. When the server was told he immediately took it to the back and apologized. I was brought out a new salad and the manager came out to the table. The manager had no idea what was on the plate because he “didn’t get to see it”. He sent out an appetizer (after we already had appetizerson the house but as a previous hospitality employee I feel that my meal should have been comped but I didn’t complain. Whatever was on my fork was disgusting and ruined my entire dining experience. The managers that work here should check the tables and silverware before service because this is not Chilli’s and this should have never happened here at Quality Meats. I will not be returning here nor recommending it to my friends or family.
My wife and I had the steak for two and it was incredible. Definitely worthy of its flagship NYC location. However, unlike the service in NYC, the service here was mediocre. There were about ten occupied tables and at least four servers, nevertheless our server always took forever to get drinks, wasn’t very concerned about our requests (bread, condiments, etc.). Nevertheless, because the food was so good, I give it five stars.
We were 2 adults and 2 kids and had an amazing experience. The chefs complimentary watermelon and bread are out of this world! We all got filets and ordered the crispy potatoes to share as well as the asparagus and those were also perfectly prepared. 5 stars all around! From the ambiance to the service to the preparation and temperature of the meats. We will for sure be back when in Miami again.
Bar tender from Detroit, damn cant remember his name. Anyway he made us a couple of drinks that we had never heard of and they are just exceptional! Great selection of Whiskey as well.
Absolutely amazing food and service here. Would highly recommend to anyone. Expensive but you get what you pay for
Amazing food and good location but I have one gripe with this place. As the main course just comes out on its own(literally just steak on the plateit is a good idea to have a side, there was 4/5 sides all between $9-$11 on the menu. the waiter said there is a popular special at the moment which is mashed potatoes, I went with this option but when I inspected the cheque at the end it was $25 for the side of mash, yes, $25. I was infuriated at this so beware of this and ask for the cost of the specials, I didn’t ask because I didn’t believe mash would cost more than $10 like the other sides. I believe they were ripping people off with this.
AMAZING dinner experience and service!! I surprised my husband to dinner last night and sent an email note to the restaurant days before our arrival to surprise him with a birthday dessert and candle. They did delivered exactly what I requested, thank you so much guys!! Impeccable service! He was surprised and loved the entire meal from beginning to end. You cant go wrong with any entree dish here. Phenomenal food menu. My favorite side was the gnocchi with cheese. My least favorite was the corn creme brulee, eh - the texture was weird. The steak sauce was made in front of us and tasted deliciousssss! The restaurant was not busy when we arrived around 8:45pm but the restaurant filled up pretty quickly around 9:30pm. Thank you for making our first time visit SO pleasant. We hope to be back soon!!
The plain name does this restaurant no service. Fabulous experience. Service was very good. They had the most extensive Miami Spice menu I have encountered. The all you can drink wine for an additional $20 per person actually was a great deal. I would definitely recommend dining there. I was so inspired I asked my girlfriend to marry me at the table.
We went here as a party of 4 for Miami Spice. It was ok. Waiter went on and on about the specials when we told him that we were there for Miami Spice. My friends steak was well done (super drywhen she asked for it to be medium. We were offered another steak but she would have had to wait too long and everyone else would have been done. Probably wouldnt return.
Excellent welcome bread and butter. The fresh squeezed orange juice was average and the steaks were okay - neither remarkable or outstanding. Minus two stars because the Oscar portion of my trio steak plate had lump crab when I specifically asked for no seafood or pork.
Went here for our first wedding anniversary. Server Christina was very knowledgeable about the menu and went out of her way to make our dinner special. The food was delicious and didnt take long at all. The steak was very tender and cooked perfectly. We would definitely eat here again!
The food was great. The atmosphere was great. The drinks and the bartenders were outstanding. Our waiter on the other hand was below average and that is being very kind. He seemed irritated all night that he had to wait on us and the surrounding tables. He didnt come to check on us after or main course arrived. We literally didnt see him again after ordering and had to run him down to pay. Very disappointing to say the least. Honestly very surprised and disappointed.
Awesome place they took care of my wifes allergies!!! Awesome steaks!!! And it was her birthday!!!!! Thanks for making it special!!!!!
The service was wonderful. I forget my servers name from the other night, but him and his assistant made my mothers birthday memorable with how courteous they were with us. For a new restaurant they did extremely well. The food was tasty, but one of my side dishes arrived cold which was quickly fixed. I will be back.
