Quaglino's in Mpwapwa

Attended the Sunday brunch with friends yesterday. Absolutely amazing!! The service was efficient, everything served on time. The waiting staff, especially Millie, were lovely and friendly, nothing was too much for them to help with despite how busy the restaurant was. The food was delicious too.The live band for the day was superb. Hardly sat down throughout the period they played. Choices of songs were spot on!! Fantastic!!!!Would recommend this restaurant many times over

The ambiance was sophisticated and elegant, the music was nice and entertaining, although a bit too loud to have a conversation.Attila was a good performer with a good repertoire.The service was very efficient and Giuseppe was an impeccable host and very knowledgeable.However, i must admit that the food was below my expectations.Tortelloni were raw and the pumpkin filling tasted like an old minestrone soup.The desert was a very bizarre combination of flavors that tasted like cough syrup.The cheese platter was great and the little birthday decoration on my plate was wonderful and thoughtful.Overall a great, memorable experience.However, the cuisine needs improvements as it felt like an improbable combination of flavors and ingredients a little too crowded and confusing.

Beautiful throwback atmosphere of a classier time with relaxing bar area and a first-class dining room with center bar and musician stage. The service was impeccable by all from the doorman on to the after-dinner drink bartender. And the food was great with their own take on steak tartare that needs to be tried, flavorful pasta in a creative sauce, a perfectly cooked well-sourced steak- everything was high quality and tasty.

I visited for Saturday dinner and drinks with my partner. The atmosphere was fancy and fabulous, the staff were polite and attentive and the live music was excellent. I think that there should have been some more variety in vegetarian options. The food we had was tasty and nicely presented but could have been a bit more inventive. Overall we had a great night.

I have mixed feelings about this restaurant. The food ended up being very good however the service was pretty terrible/non-existent.Our reservation was at 9:30pm. Restaurants usually have a 15 minute grace period, however I received a call at exactly 9:30 asking where our party was. They let us know that we needed to order before 9:45pm as the kitchen closes by then. I think this should have been disclosed during booking or at least in the email sent to me.Once seated, it took quite awhile before our server came to our table despite the kitchen closing. She wasn’t knowledgeable of the menu. I don’t want to say too much in case she was new. But overall, it wasn’t a great experience.Aside from that, the food was pretty good and the live music was a nice touch. Will I be coming back? Probably not.

Absolutely stunning venue and a fantastic experience. Beautiful 1920’s decor and incredible music throughout the evening.Cocktails were perfect and bar staff certainly know their stuff.Definitely recommend a visit, will certainly visit again.

Wonderful evening celebrating a wedding anniversary with family. The staff were so attentive and the food was gorgeous. Wine was reasonably priced and the entertainment was fantastic. Great atmosphere, and of course lots of photo opportunities with the fabulous decor.

I had been there twice before to great service, but this time service wasn’t the best, had the most unhelpful waiter, the only thing that saved the night was food was good and band were on point 👏👏

Was a nice afternoon/evening. The musical act didnt perform the genere or music advertised which was disappointing. The website advised it would be jazz but instead it was more pop and 80s music.Food was really good and staff were adequately attentive.I am not sure I would go again as it wasnt really my type of vibe or crowd however I do think its a nice venue.

Had a great experience here. The atmosphere is always good. The staff are super friendly and attentive. The place is beautiful and the live music was excellent! On the downside, our starters all arrived about 15 minutes apart and a vegan member of our party was served goats cheese which was surprising for such an impeccable place in every other aspect. Still had an awesome night though!

The food was excellent. We Had the Evening Standard menu which was £40 for 3 course’s and a glass of bubbly great value

They didn’t pick up when we tried to call to say we were delayed due to tube strikes. We were not called before they released our table as they alleged they had. We had to wait at the bar for another table to free up.The service was horrible. The food was dry and tasteless. The crab starter tasted really bad - I would not recommend. The stake was entirely below expectations. Waiting times were far too long. Larger tables of 4+ were prioritised and our party of two could barely get any service. We even tapped one on their elbow to be completely IGNORED !Our water glasses were EMPTY the entire night. And when our desert came out we had no CUTLERY. I’d expect that at Wetherspoons but not when you’re paying over £150 Per HEAD in central LondonShambles. Would not come again. The only good thing about the place is the live music.

Never disappoints always very special evening out. Great live music, Katy was a great singer, band fabulous, food gorgeous. Thank you to the team at Quags for making our wedding anniversary so special.

Quaglinos never disappoints me. Great prices and quality in a good atmosphere, cant go wrong. Food and service was great as always. Requested to be sat close to the live performer and that we did :We was given a front table which was amazingggg. Will surely be returning again

Talk about fine dining with a quintessential live band and customer friendly staff - the dishes were definitely 5*. We ended up having a dance session at the end and will definitely be going back more often. Highly recommended but be mindful of charges like ‘band/music charge’ which we weren’t aware off but was told (when queriedthat it was a tip and mandatory but ppl should be notified of it. Anyway we gladly tipped the musicians as they were fantastic

My experience at this restaurant was so fantastic that I would go as far as to say it is one of my favourite places that I have ever been for dinner. It is not cheap, but the food is outstanding and the atmosphere is wonderful with the live jazz band performing at the front of the room. I had the beef tartare to start which was delicious. We also had some caviar and I had a steak for my main. Excellent service. Ive not got a bad word to say about this place. Will definitely be returning soon for another special occasion soon. 10/10 from me.

Really good! Went for a birthday and was nervous the dress code would be super strict but front desk were really relaxed.Music was really good and the ambience was great! Wait staff were attentive and friendly as well. Only problem was that your view if the stage is really obscured from certain areas.

Just tried to book our company Christmas lunch as we have been many times in the past. They are doing a brunch menu on Saturdays. There is a choice of four starters, four mains and four deserts. I have no problem with a condensed menu at a busy time of year but they have now told me that parties of 17 or over MUST choose one starter, one main and one desert for the whole party!! I have honestly never heard anything so ridiculous. What has happened to the old Quaglinos. Come on D and D, sort yourselves out.

Quaglinos is first and foremost an experience. The decor is reminiscent of the 1920s with modern features.Definitely has that wow factor. The staff were absolutely adorable, its a shame we had to get up to get their attention to order. Other than that the service was exceptional.The live band got everyone moving adding to the experience.Overall the meal was excellent, the menu is diverse and kitchen has taken risks with its combination of flavours.Its just a shame the chateaubriand was slightly overdone on the ends.Would recommend ordering it rare as we had it medium rare.Overall it was outstanding!

A charming experience, my first time here.When arriving, the staff were super friendly, helpful and attentive. Instantly felt at home; I didnt have a table till later but could sit at the bar prior, which was ace.You go down into the restaurant area, and theres this beautiful bar in the centre and its all very well presented, looks the part.The food was lovely, and had a nice choice, clean, tasty and full of flavour. There was also a live band on the night and they were so good! Excellent covers they did, and in the end, people were getting very involved, and there was a good vibe overall.Its not the cheapest but for location, I guess what do you expect.I only took a few photos, but there are loads already uploaded, I noticed but the food you can see is the duck liver pate and roast chicken breast.Its a short walk to green park station also and super easy to access 😊Solid A*****LDT x

One of the finest experiences in London!Food, Service ,live music and everything was top notch!We celebrated my wifes birthday and got a special shout out from the Singer. The atmosphere was rich and everyone was very friendly. On the whole, this restaurant has everything you need. Visit this place if you want a memorable experience.

I’ve been to tonnes of high-end restaurants and am usually quite pleased with the experience, but this one in particular was just not worth the moneyI’d rate the ambience a 10/10. Great music and good vibes! Though here’s what went wrong with the brunchStarting with food the 2 courses were £38 and the starter (mushroom tortelloniwas alright… nothing stood out. With regards to the mains, I felt that the corn-fed chicken breast was very tender, but tasted BLAND! The marinate and the sauce it came with were great, but why not add some more of it? I could barely get to the last bite because I felt like I was eating a well-cooked chicken breast that was purely seasoned with salt and pepper.The drinks… my mates went for the £80pp champagne brunch, but I ordered individual cocktails. We were only given the classic cocktail menu, and nothing looked good on it so I ordered the Chambord Royal which tasted like regular champagne. 2 hours in and I realised that there is apparently another artsy cocktail menu that no server bothered handing us. Finally got it and ordered the s-peachless cocktail from the menu which was definitely really good! Every cocktail on that menu looked so good I’m upset why they wouldn’t give it to one of us (we were SEVEN people)?I paid about £85 for the food and the 2 cocktails in total. I wouldn’t mind paying that much if I were served better food but I wasn’t and was still quite hungry

My family and I went to Quaglionos for a Saturday brunch with live music. Charles took great care of us with his great personality and attention to detail. The food was good. Service was a slow, especially when pouring wine.The live music brilliant. Fun atmosphere. Great venue. My photos dont do it justice.

The atmosphere, music, service and everything they put effort is worth it. Its a nice place to visit and enjoy some live music. But the food is not great. They should change their Chef. I feel bad for the staff who make a wonderful effort to make it special.

Food generally good but steak was a bit of a let down. Atmosphere and service great, but not a fan of being made to feel guilty for not wanting to be handed a paper towel in the toilets in return for a tip. Also, 15% service charge at the bar was a bit rich considering the cost of the drinks, and the fact it wasnt even table service.Overall a bit of a disappointment unfortunately.

Had a wonderful time. The live band was amazing, by the end of the night several people had got up to dance.Regarding food, both of the starters we ordered were okay. They werent bad, they were just of an interesting combination but not quite to my liking.The steak, however, was lovely! The flavour was good and it was cooked very well. Our waiter was also very lovely and vibrant. Great atmosphere.Only downside was security stopping my date regarding his trainers. I dont quite think this was a bad thing as I do think its worth making a bit of an effort but my date was surprised as he had been there prior with trainers with no issue and we saw several other people with trainers on. Ive checked the website and the dress code isnt clear so maybe it should be? Otherwise a great night!

The most fabulous decor. Amazing staff and food to die for! We were lucky enough to catch the live band early afternoon Saturday.

This place was an absolute vibe. You get the sort of 20s speakeasy but done in a very unique and modern way. Live music on offer is always great to drive the point home, this is an entertainment space. Cocktails are amazing with a plethora of premium spirits and the barpeople are amazing at translating your requests into beautifully crafted drinks.

Had the set menu which cost only £45 which is very reasonable for the great quality food. Everything was extremely tasty and though the portions dont look massive they are definitely filling. It was my wifes birthday so we were given a table right up front by the stage and they even brought a macaroon with a candle on it as a special treat for her. We saw Ash Minor play live and he was great, the music wasnt too loud and having a live band play was awesome. Would definitely come here again! Food we tried which were all extremely delicious - roasted parsnip veloute, honey and whiskey glazed salmon, gnocchi, duck breast, dark chocolate marquise and a chocolate and orange lava cake

Had a fabulous evening with friends on Saturday, loved the live music and the food is very rich, I had the duck, with red cabbage and new potatoes which was delicious. All staff were extremely friendly, a wonderful atmosphere.

We visited Quaglino’s during the week and had the set menu with glass of bubbly.I had the parsnip veloute, duck breast main and chocolate marquise dessert and all of them left me wanting seconds.Accompanied by soulful covers performed live. It was a wonderful experience. Outstanding service from the whole team, from the cloakroom team to the bar staff.The decor is wonderful and has a very authentic golden age 1920s, singers-on-pianos vibe.Highly recommend for an intimate date or gathering with close friends.

Fabulous. Went for a Christmas party, the food was very good considering there was 16 of us all ordering at the same time. The venison was lovely. What really makes it is the live music , starts off easy listening then gets you into full party mode.

Enjoyed a lovely evening meal at this restaurant. Voting one star less due to the waiting times between when our order was placed and when the drinks and starter menu arrived.Nice and friendly staff - which perhaps is testament to how packed the place was on a weekday night! The portion of the food served might mean that a top up at McDonalds may be required 😂

I came here for my birthday celebration, and the energy was great soon as I arrived. The staff were friendly and attentive, I enjoyed my cocktails and my meal. Our waiter was so lovely and he made sure we had everything we needed- Our seat was right near the front for the entertainment. The singers and the band were really amazing, we had a lovely night and would come back again.

Definitely not a cheap night out, but it took my friend’s breath away as we descended from the cold Piccadilly streets into the opulence of Quags - “I feel like Cinderella!”. Service was great, the restaurant is indeed beautiful, and the food was excellent. My only quibble, and it’s a small one in the grands scheme of things, is that we were still finishing up our wine after 3 courses and were asked to take it back upstairs because the table was needed. We’d only got a couple of glugs left each, and so a more gentle word in the ear to remind me the table would be needed in a few minutes would’ve gone down better. Told you it was a small quibble, but at these prices it’s worth calling out that you’re on the clock and will be asked to move on! Live music was a bit loud for conversation, but it was good and made the night feel even more festive. Recommended, except for slow eaters! 😏

I was at Quaglino’s with my sister and niece as part of a girls’ weekend.As they were visiting London from Leeds, I decided to take them to Quaglino’s due to the Saturday night live band. It did not fail to disappoint.The restaurant has a certain decadence to it and is rather lavish. It definitely has a Great Gatsby feel to it, which added to the overall ambience.As soon as we were seated we were looked after by a lovely waitress. The food was excellent, with a wide and varied menu. We all opted for the salad and Gnocchi. The drinks menu proved a success regarding cocktails.The atmosphere the whole evening was buzzing and the live band were simply incredible. Everyone was up dancing and having a great time.I would highly recommend Quaglino’s, especially if you are celebrating something.

Decent food but poor service…oysters were great as was the sea bass…the service was a serious let down though. It might be just tonight so hoping to give it another try.

Really nice place, especially if you need fancy pics for your social media.Food I ordered wasnt great, too salty smoked cheese and peas which were not refrigerated properly.Music was loud like in a night club but there was no dance floor, so it was difficult to talk.Its a fancy place so prices were higher than usual but still fair.

Felt like I was teleported to a theatrical speakeasy. The atmosphere was fun, as people danced and sang along to their favourite songs. The Juke Joints performed really well.The food was well presented and tasty.I highly recommend Quaglinos to friends and family.

As always the food was amazing. This is our come to restaurant for a treat. Such a fantastic place to relax and enjoy fabulous food. The staff are always friendly and polite. Highly recommended

Was a birthday treat and was amazing.Decor is art deco 1920s vibe. You walk down the stairs into the basement restaurant and it is a real wow factor. Food service is speedy and food is gorgeous. Added bonus is the live band who play two sets. Brilliant atmosphere.Only slight issue is that you only have your table for a set period of time, after that you can sit at the bar where unfortunately they dont serve drinks. So getting a drink is an issue. And waiters wont serve you either. Apart from that wonderful evening.

First time out to a restaurant since restrictions lifted, and had a blast! The serve from the door to when I was seated was amazing and the serve at the table was very good I cant really flaw it, if I was to be picky I like getting to know my waiters, but I do understand it was a busy night. We opted for set menu in advance which I enjoyed every meal loved the prosecco and the cocktails.The entertainment was great, the singers and the band amazing I had so much fun next time I will hit the dance floor! HahaAnd will definitely be back and will try the main menu and more cocktails ☺️
