Qantas Club - Lounge in Glenroy, Australia
Actually not a bad way to spend a few hours before any trip. No noise, good food and great comfort.
Would give these guys 0 star if that was an option! Was refused entry simply because I was wearing flip flops/beach shoes! All I wanted was to go in for 30 minutes to use the change room, and get a drink before my flight, was told they have a strict dress code and I can’t go in because of my shoes. The only qantas lounge in the world with this stupid policy, apparently they’ve had platinum members & celebrities complain about it too and still refused to change the policy. The most snobby rule that’s infuriating their loyal customers and loosing them business. What’s the point of having qantas club if you can access it, Qantas, change your stupid dress code policy to move with the times and actually give your customers what they’ve paid for!!
Absolutely disgusting food, overcrowded and noisy
Spacious and could probably seat at least 200 humans. Breakfast is a buffet style with cold and hot options. Coffee was delicious.Lunch changeover was a pleasant variety. Some people complaining in past reviews, I see it as choose your own adventure ☺️The staff today each have their own natural classic look straight from the cinema. Wouldnt be surprised if they are secret agents 🕴️ quietly going about their customer service... Regards Daniel M
Good but always a race for the same seats. Food selection never changes.Wedges or spring rolls hot food.Cold salad bar with ham.
Had a couple of complimentary passes through my CC so we put them to use before our flight last Sunday. The breakfast choices leave a lot to be desired, but the barista coffee and kids corner made up for it. We just wanted to have a nice relaxing place to spend the 90 minutes before our flight with a 14 month old, and can say he had a blast while we were able to relax. Not a lounge I would pay for, but if you have free passes, its worth a visit.
We were given a chance to purchase passes. We used to be able to see the view of planes but now that has been blocked off. You are offered cereals, fruit, juices, coffee, breads and other items in the morning. In the afternoon you can have alcoholic drinks and food like fried rice. The staff are extremely friendly. The area is quite big and spacey.
Busy lounge that feels a bit tired and unloved. Chairs were grubby and food stained but the bar service with friendly and the hot meal option tasty. Just needs some TLC and a freshen up on the furniture and decor and it will be a place worthy of the Qantas name.
Food service area needs a rethink..Gets really crowded.. no flow about it. Most other Q clubs in other capital cities have it figured out..
The Qantas Business Class lounge was extremely clean, calm surrounds. Very relaxing feel for an airport.
It started with the staff member at the counter rolling her eyes as i couldn’t bring up my boarding pass on the phone. It’s great how gold flyers are treated. No food to eat. Lounge looks tired! You are better off outside.
Melbourne. Just had an awful experience with rude desk woman unable to locate my recently renewed club membership. Instead of doing her job, she was rude, sarcastic and embarrassed me. Virgin here I come.
Rude staff and lounge opening times never match website. Save your cash and dont buy a membership.
First time in the Melbourne Qantas Club and it’s just filthy. The floor looks like it has never been cleaned. Very poor food selection and staff were all panicky and didn’t look like they wanted to be there.
Comfortable lounge with a wide selection of food and beverage options whilst waiting for plane departures
Good lounge. Only ever here for breakfast. Comfy. Quiet. Long queue for coffee. Always too long for me to bother, but can only assume its good with the long queue.
Perfect place to escape to bustle down below
Comfortable place to wait for your flight. Good selection of food and drinks
Its been a while since I was platinum. Seems the normal one has gone downhill but it was handy since my flight was delayed. Hardly a great perk for being a lifetime silver status when I have to pay for my mum to get in. I guess even premium airlines are budget now.
Qantas club Melbourne is always reliable for great coffee and a light snack/meal, the staff aren’t as friendly here as they are in other lounges and the cleanliness isn’t near as good as Brisbane, but there is a wider range of food options- disappointed that there is no post mix soft drinks available like in other lounges. On this visit the foods were running low the entire time. The lounge was very full, almost uncomfortably so as there were so many travellers and business people making use of the lounge. The bathrooms are clean and spacious.
Great place to relax before the flight and refuel. Much easier and more comfortable to eat before the flight in the lounge. In my experience, the staff have been excellent and very helpful.
Staff working really hard to keep up with drinks and food. It was super busy but I was still happy to be in there.
Food was nice but could do with more variety, drinks are spot on. The cleaning could be improved.
Post Covid-19. Things starting to return to normal.
Seating not overly comfortable, food selection just plain bad, floor where we sat was filthy. Staff very nice and helpful but the decor and general feel of the place is severely lacking. Not a patch on Adelaide or Sydney lounges.
Its a nice lounge new lounge, however its really missing the view. Food is average at best, really nice coffee though. I personally recommend not going at breakfast as it can be very crowded and its not necessarily worth it especially if youre only using a complimentary or purchased invitation. Its much nicer at lunch or late afternoon when its more quite and drinks are available.
Terrible mistake paying to go in here before a flight....very, very average choice of food and drink and not covidsafe at all.Do not recommend!!Coffee ok, otherwise one star.
Service was great, good variety of beverages on offer but the food was pretty stock standard including toasted sandwiches, pasta, hummus dip and salad.
Well worth paying to go the Club before my flight. Nice food, seating and very friendly staff. A special thank you for the female attendant making the coffees...extreme numbers of customers and orders for the 2 hrs I was in there, but she remained happy, friendly and didnt show any stress or frustration...well done
Always a great way to travel.Food was a bit disappointing, only make your own toasted sandwiches available, long queue for coffee and no alcohol or champagne available on Mothers day.
First time back in Qantas Club for a couple years. The new reno has made the area more cave like clearly to increase the value proposition of the Business Lounge which we have been lucky to use recently a number of times. Sadly though, the Q club area now resembles a factory cafeteria and is over subscribed as a result of the volume of membership roll overs due to the pandemic. Unless your employer funds the membership, this represents poor value now. Virgins lounge experience is miles ahead of Qantas
Fairly tired and dirty, needs a good refresh. Not much going on breakfast wise, the coffee queue was lengthy, yet it was with the wait.
Awesome for a feed and a nice cold beer in the afternoon
Somebody designed this building and thought it was a good idea to orientate the lounge not to look over the airfield and the aircraft but at where the cabs and buses pull up. Like seriously? Lacks natural light and feels pretty old and tired. Probably better than most of the substandard offerings in the rest of the airport but that’s a low bar to get over
Good lounge located in Qantas Domestic T1 at Melbourne airport. The highlight is the addition of the Spice Bar serving chicken laksa.
Staff are really nice. I like that they pre-make the toasties so members aren’t left constructing their sandwiches like villagers doing their laundry on the banks of the Ganges.Look. Here’s the rub. I’ve been a Qantas Club member for decades and they STOLE the greatest outlook in any Australian lounge by slicing the thing in half. Business lounge gets the awesome Tullamarine views. Standard lounge is a long narrow broom closet. Hate it. Like a bad Coles cafeteria by comparison. Why didn’t they give us even a little natural light and outlook? See my photos for the only views in the whole lounge - if you miss out on those 2 seats it’s broom closet all the way. Awful. But the staff are nice. And the toastie thing. Genius. Thank you, Mr Joyce. 🥪
Mmm hmm. Who doesnt love Qantas Club. The luscious piles of apples. The friendly staff. The views to the tarmac. The comfy seating. The fact that you have the anticipation of flying to look forward to. Melbourne Qantas Club has been recently (in the last 5 yearsfitted out and is a very nice space to hang while you wait for your flight.
With covid the buffet has gone replaced by staff served dishes. Decent variety of meals available, snacks felt a bit less than usual and dessert was so so
With covid 19 Qantas only has one side of the business club open so at times its very busy but fantastic food drink and lovely atmosphere.
Busy lounge but with sufficient seating to always secure a seat.Papers and magazines are on offer throughout the day and there are a number of monitors to track your flight departure. The food is constantly restocked although it is a little bland but better than the choices in the terminal.
Great place to get some quiet work done before a flight. Free food and drinks.
You must be a part to evaluate the parlor. . on that premise it ought to consistently be conveying. Ive been a part for quite a while and recharge my participation for a year ago for a long time. Not exactly the smooth spot it used to be yet truly heard those long hold up in air terminals.
Beautiful outlook from Business Lounge over parked aircraft, especially at dawn. Clean and well managed. Reasonable array of food and drinks. Good range of comfortable chairs and tables to suit all needs.
This lounge is located inside T1 Melbourne domestic terminal. Quite large with a variety of different seating options. I found the Wi-Fi fast and there was a decent range of magazines and newspapers. There were also showers available. In terms of food, we were there at 6pm and they had what they call all day dining. This included make your own toasted sandwiches, soup, basic salad and a Mexican beef dish with rice. Alcohol included beer, red and white wine and cider. Qantas have definitely downgraded the food options. Range and quality has reduced significantly, even in the past two years. It is still a nice place to wait for a plane, but not sure it is worth the price of membership.
Always a joy to relax in the Lounge prior to a flight.Coming from the Surf Coast via the Gull Shuttle always arrive at the airport early so having the Lounge to relax or do a bit of work is fantastic.
It’s a huge Qantas lounge and at the time of my visit, it was very very busy and crowded with other passengers. On the one hand, I liked the design of some parts of the lounge, on the other, I didn’t, because of the colors and the seating arrangements. The cleanliness leaves much to be desired! Selection of drinks was wide and good. There was also a lot of food to choose from, but quality was low in my mind! I prefered to google out of the window and observe the happenings on the apron!
Disappointing renovation has meant no views at all. Cant see a plane anymore. Capacity still tight. Food not great but a few gluten free options & properly labeled. Drinks, bar and toilets OK. Good staff. Better than Brisbane but norhing to celebrate. Staff excellent. A declining experience.
I understand renovations have to happen but if you’re going to cram 200 people into such a small space maybe it’s best to have more than 2 men’s toilet cubicles in there?Yes the food offering is up to standard, the line for the coffee is crazy long but it just seems like they haven’t thought through the logistics of this renovation entirely?
Cozy lounge for domestic flights. It is better than other domestic lounges I’ve been - quite clean, barista coffee, good selection of tea, soft drinks and alcohol, some salads and sandwiches available and hot soup. Would be better if there could be some hot foods, especially for the cold season. Service is very friendly.
Staff are absolutely wonderful! The food buffet is okay. Make yourself a toastie, grab a curry or soup (curry and rice were just coming out of the kitchen-and was delicious 😋).They have a decent selection of wine available as well as sparkling and spirits. Espresso coffee is available by barista or machine.Toilets and showers are clean. The noise does carry a bit and the place does seem a bit soulless. However if youre lucky you can find an intimate corner.I cant wait for my Gold status. This is a great perk!
