Melbourne Airport VIC 3045, Australia, Glenroy
Qantas Business Lounge - Lounge in Glenroy, Australia
Look, other than being busy there was not much to complain about.Service and food / beverage offerings were good. Fit out and general design are pleasant. The plane watching is also fabulous from the window fronts as well.Overall, a really pleasant place to spend time whilst waiting for your flight.
Very welcoming, l felt like my working holiday had started once l walled in. Excellent choice for food/drinks.
Getting better Qantas, the lounge is great
We used the lounge before the morning flight. Plenty of space but rather busy mid week, and a bit more relaxed, spacious and better presented then in Sydney. 🤷🏼
Great way to relax before your flight.Small selection of food.Good selection of alcohol.
One of my favourite lounges. Well equipped.
Good stuff forget about the food drinks are on the house if thats your thing. Great coffee
Great service. Thank you for making the wait for my flight pleasurable.
The best pre flight experience, great coffee delicious food and a really refreshing and relaxing ambience
Loved this lounge, especially knowing some flights to Perth tend to get delayed. The food is exquisite especially the signature noodle bar.
The lounge was great and so was the drink selection at Noth Sydney and Melbourne lounges. The food was terrible and i am only referring to the Sydney lounge. Melbourne lounge was 5 stars for both food, drinks and lounge. Sydney needs to improve on the food selection especially the hot food was terrible.
Great experience 👍. Highly recommend 👌.
Great service, good food and nice views.
Great service and friendly staff plenty of choices.
A nice rest from the hustle and bustle of the airport. Sit down, eat something, charge your phone, read a magazine, do some work, watch the planes … then exit and remember you’re in an airport full of people.
A stunning and comfortable place to relax before embarking on your next leg of travel. The lounge was clean, great variety of food and beverages.
Excellent domestic business lounge with friendly staff, great view for plane watching, solid beer and wine selections and a noodle bar. Large and open plan, well illuminated compared to the Sydney domestic business lounge. Ample space to allow work or relaxing. No self service sandwich toasting as of March 2022.
Really nicely refurbished. I hadnt been here since before they refurbished the Lounge and it looks fantastic. It is very comfortable and well spaced out. Head straight for the made to order food and grab some nice desserts at the (served by staff"buffet". I really liked the selection of drinks and the bar tender made a great gin and tonic. Well worth going to the airport early for this lounge
This lounge can become very busy sometimes can have trouble even securing a seat. Will be great when one doesnt have to queue for food at the two stations. Bring on the pre covid days where one serves oneself. They actually had a serve yourself drink station this visit, so thumbs up no queuing!
Im grateful to be able to access the lounge but if Im honest I feel that Melbourne falls a bit short here, the seating is good the space is open and bright but with covid theyve cut back heaps. When others havent. With borders mostly open now I dont get the disparity between lounges in different states. The Melbourne staff also seem less interested in being there than other states
One of the best domestic lounges in the Qantas network. Be sure to stop by the Spice Bar
Good domestic lounge. Comfortable and spaced out seating.Drinks and light food options available
Very poor condition. Covid has hit Qantas hard and it shows. Scratched damaged black paintwork adjacent to windows. Stained carpet, food stuck to sides of leather chairs which are very worn on arms. Lounge looks tired and old. Coffee was good, antipasto plate tepid and unappetising. Hot meal had undercooked rice. Staff were lovely.
Friendly staff, nice view towards the airport and Qantas planes. There are many seats and I like those facing the windows so you can get a good view. The food selection is limited but still reasonable. Nice coffee I think. Overall, it’s a nice business lounge.
The coffee and selection of drinks are great! But I think they can improve with the selection of food. It would be preferable if they offer hot food, like pasta or noodles, or grilled meat. I have been here few times from 2020 to 2021, but seems like same selection of cold food, like in the photo. It would be a good improvement, if the staff will have that warm service, talking in a nice way, or even just smiling would be great. Service makes the difference!Though, this business lounge is more modern than Sydney.
Great to be back and the see the familiar faces of the Qantas staff including my favorite barista! Missing the newspapers but understand the precautions of the current environment. Looking forward to resuming more air travel again ✈️😎
Great lounge. Really nicely decked out and an amazing view out over the tarmac so you can plane spot as you wait for your own flight. The food and beverage selection is fine and the seating area large and very comfortable. One of the better Qantas lounges around the country.
QF Business lounge in MEL is amazing! Covid19 friendly, warm welcome to all QF Gold to Platinum members as well as Business class guests.Great food choices available as well as the generous bar service QF lounges are renowned for.
Very Covid-safe with meals and drinks individually served by staff, plenty of space. I hadnt been since the refurb, its looking great.
Returned to the Qantas business lounge today after 12mths away. Lots has changed in their service consistent with the current world we are living in. However, one thing that as remained the same is the friendly face and customer service of Maria at the barista station. Moreover, her coffee making is sensational and would rival any cafe in Melbourne, the hipsters could learn a thing or two from her. Thanks Maria, Qantas give her a pay rise, just take it out of AJs bonus.
Not as good as usual, limited food and drinks all served by staff, but given covid restrictions great to have something available and great to be able to fly again.Staff are doing a tremendous job.
Reviewing these things in a time of great change and restrictions is a bit difficult. Very quiet sombre mood. Small eats. Decor was nice. Quality drinks bar and seating areas. Plenty of PowerPoints and work desks.
The Qantas business lounge Melbourne opened 5 days ago. It provides limited services and no self-service food or drinks, due to Covid. No where near as busy as before Covid but otherwise much as before and perhaps a little nicer now that its not too crowded. Lets hope the world will overcome Covid soon.
Love the new fitout, great flow and asthetics. Im in the lounge at least once and week and the staff are always super helpful and lovely, plus the meal specials are always great - this week was chicken laksa, and it was very very good!
Not a bad way to lounge around waiting for your next flight.
Very average in the world of lounges, which is a shame given the quality of the First lounge which is world class. The food is sloppily prepared, drink selection is mediocre and the overall look and feel is dingy; reminiscent of a backwater highway stop diner that has received a face lift from from the local liberal rep on the cheap. To add insult to injury every bottle was empty and the tables were filthy...Spare yourself a trip to the basement and get yourself a happy meal.
Came on Christmas eve morning and wasnt so full. I love the design of the lounge and the selection of food especially considering this a domestic lounge. Its rare to see such great domestic lounges globally. The lady serving coffee remember all the people she served and even what they were drinking....Impressive lounge
On weekdays nearly always full or close to full and difficult to find a seat. This domestic lounge is normally limited to Business or Platinum Qantas Frequent Flyers but (apparentnew policy means Qantas Club and Gold Frequent flyers can now also get access on weekends when the Qantas Club is closed. This lounge has exterior views and much better natural light than the Qantas Club.
Large business lounge with lots of seating. But during my visit it was almost 100% full so was difficult to find a seat. Food was tasty (the fresh noodle dish was greatalthough I did have to add more vegetable from the buffet area since it was mainly noodle and chicken.Good selection of drinks and good updates direct to the lounge.Friendly helpful staff.
We were there last year (Dec 2018and had an unfortunately unhappy experience. I was travelling with young children (Ages 9 and 4), and we sat near the entrance counters. The kids were excited about the red-eye flight and looking forward to the snacks in the lounge. We sat down with our luggages and my children kneeled on the sofa to look over the partition that separates the sitting area and the entrance counter as they were curious, for not even a minute. We weren’t even making loud noises for goodness sake, in fact I had ensured the kids were using their indoor voices. None of the other passengers were disturbed, that I am sure. The staff manning the counter suddenly gave my children the death stare and shouted at them, yelling at them in a loud (and rudevoice to sit down immediately.I could have done the same and get involved in a shouting match. But I have better manners and upbringing than that. This is definitely not the level of service and attitude I had expected from a worldclass airline.Shame on you, angry racist reception lady!Perhaps you’d be more suited working in a library.
The food and beverage were good and the lounge was clean, but being my first time at the Business Qantas lounge as a Platinum member, I honestly expected it to be better. The area was nearly full and there were only few seats left.
Great lounge with plenty of powered work space. Staff are friendly and its a lot less crowded than youre usual lounge. Food is pretty generic but it didnt disappoint. Good place for a quick drink, coffee, feed and meeting.
The revamped lounge is great, fantastic food, fantastic wine! A little crowded but thats evenings... Nice and comfy furniture, a bit warm though. Also a little noisy with all the announcements. Overall its great.
This lounge is deifnitely a winner! Hands down it even beats the Qantas international business lounge at Melbourne in terms of aesthetics and space..the baristas were great and friendly the views were incredible..well stocked showers and a great selection of food..Qantas needs to take from this lounge and transfer over some excellence to the international business lounge too
Its starting to become to busy, you cant really relax, however the refurbished lounge looks great. The selection of food is ok, the Asian food aIs always tasty.
Great lounge with views of the runways in Melbourne. Food selection is ok. Drink selection good with the mixed salted nuts always a winner. Can get very busy at times. The seats along the windows are the best for relaxing and watching the aircraft traffic.
The lounge has recently been renovated. However it does still gets crowded during the peak hours. Food is ok with the newly introduced concept of open kitchen. Menu is mainly Asian type of fare. Friendly staff and a great barrista coffee. Remember about the dressing codes.
Great new lounge (Aug 2018). Hopefully the new format will cope with the crowds ! The coffee made by Maria and Elizabeth is amazing ! Enjoy your rest before you get on the flight. Karen is great on the front desk who is always helpful with your seat allocations and changing flights.
Unfortunately it isn’t clean.Breakfast was good and coffee isn’t bad
In a dungeon, smells like a locker room, dark and always crowded. Toss up whether to venture down into the pit or hang in the terminal.
