Mexican chain for counter-serve, custom burritos, tacos & more, including health-oriented options.
‘Out of guac’ is the new thing here for weeks. Staff just doesnt care. 4 people behind counter. One person actually SERVING people…kind of. Its as if your bothering them while they are making food for….umm…you? Standing at counter, one guy walks by me and just eyeballs me and keeps walking. Management needs to set some standards.
OUT OF GUAC!!! What the heck!!! I choose Qdoda over Chipolette because of the guac. My husband went to gat a takeout dinner. No signs stated out of guac. After making my bowl, at the end of the line he is told no guac!! If I had been in the store the half made bowl would have stayed at the store. Sadly he paid for an incomplete order item and brought it home. Wont be going back to location again.
If you want to be treated like you’re not welcome then you should come to this place. The worker at the register was very very racist. She first looked at me with a bad look and proceeded to stare me down. I asked for fajitas and they weren’t even available and I said I would wait for them. The other worker comes over and she wasn’t even any better. The area where the food was isn’t even sanitary. She dropped something yellow in the food area and when I saw her do it she didn’t even think to get it off there. Stay away!!!
Usually dont have any issues with ordering from this location, they are always prompt and efficient. However, the last time I ordered, there was an issue with the order when I got to car, so I went back in and let them know that I was missing a bag of chips from my order. The woman working behind the counter started arguing with me, telling me how I misunderstood what I ordered, and that I dont just get a bag of chips with an order of queso. When I pulled up my receipt on my phone and showed her, she still said I didnt understand what I was that meant, but shed give me the chips anyway. To state of the obvious, this was not a great experience. The icing on the cake was that all the chips we did get, were stale. Overall it was a very disappointing experience.
This place used to be my favorite but since the pandemic, they never have Cholula or any type of hot sauce, the latest I go in is about 2hrs before close yet they generally have enough meat a available for 2 people, pretty sure the queso changed as its more "potato soup" creamy instead of melted cheese like with a LOT more peppers and stuff and less actual queso, pop machines always have something wrong with them being out of syrup or flat out not serving any flavors at all, and generally (not this time/locationhave some of the worst staff possible. Might be time to walk away from Qdoba as its no longer a very good deal with prices obviously going up and quality going down and they got rid of tiers in rewards a while back where you got cheap chips and queso...
Food prep area was dirty. Employees were extremely uncharismatic. Food was OK at best. There are some obvious management issues at this location.
Waited for 20. min after pickup time. 2 bowls of my order sat on the counter getting cold while they waited on 6 walk in guest. And all they could tell me is that they were working on my order when they clearly were not.
While I dont think the flavors are as good as Chipotle, Qdoba is still the place we visit every Wednesday after my wife and I work out....I think their new "sweet and spicy" chicken helps in the taste department.....and another plus at Qdoba....fresh cut onions and cilantro as toppings!!! Kudos! It may take a few time to experiment with toppings, but I think I finally have a combo that is pretty darn tasty!!!!Another plus.....the employees! We really have become friends with the staff! They are super friendly and awesome people! Tell Jessie and Liz "Pete and Kathy said you guys rock"!:-)
Came here as the Chipotle nearby always has some service issue going on. Glad I did. Awesome service and great eats.
Employees could have been a little more friendly. Food was very good.
Slow lazy workers. Update still slow ineffective and disgusting practice. Worker ripped q burrito to peices instead of starting over. Just wrapped the mess in another tortilla.
Good food but short staffed so the line moves very slow but staff is nice and food is good no complaints here.
Burrito was good but I wasnt impressed on how they made there new Quesadilla absolutely were gross. And what the hell haooen to the corn I was bummed about that.
When hours say they open at 1030 they should be open then not 1130 like employee said. Lost my business. Go ahead and close like most of the other Qdoba locations
Great food. Food was a little cold though.
I was excited for Chipotle, arrived and they were only accepting orders through their app. Luckily Qdoba is just 2 blocks away and satisfied my burrito needs
Amazing. Never lets me down. Let me tell u something… I ate chipotle 3 times over a month. Every single time it messed up my guts. Qdoba? Bro never. Never. And that Diablo queso?!?!! Cmon. It’s insane. So insane I had to drop a review. Trust me Qdoba smacks
The flavors were great. Some ingredients could have been a little warmer but it was satisfactory. The employees were very friendly. The queso was great!
Boy the menu really changed after covidBut it was still good
I usually like coming here but most recent purchase had very very very undercooked rice... 🤦🏻♀️🙁
Good food! Had a reward coupon that made for a great price too. Appreciate that they dont charge extra to add guacamole to your entrees. They werent selling the brisket on our last visit. It was covered by a sign that said "Coming Back Soon".
The staff has definitely changed, but for the better. The two workers seemed excited to serve me and really valued me as a customer. Will be coming back more often now!
JESSI at qdoba treated me like I was the only one she was serving! Took her time and gave me the best chicken/fajitas bowl I have ever had!She represents good people and great customer service! Thank you Jessi ❤
Poor service, unclean prep line, chicken was chewy and full of fat pieces. Two huge scoops of rice was 80% of my burrito. I paid for addition protein, $2.75, I don’t know if you get a half scoop without paying the extra. The extra was a scoop. Ended up not finishing the burrito. $12.75, hope I don’t get food poisoning.
Absolute dog water service. & the lady making my burrito walked away with empty hands and came back with some hidden mystery cheese from somewhere when there was already cheese stocked on the line. Whole team needs a re work at this location
Drive to this location after multiple bad experiences at the Eagan location... What a difference! Staff was very pleasant, food was super fresh and hot, and my order was accurate. Best tasting Qdoba burrito bowl Ive had!
I desperately wanted tasty Qdoba after a terrible day but messed up and selected pickup instead of delivery. When I called to ask about changing it Liz was truly gracious and helped me sort it out, I really appreciated her kindness!
We came to this location because the Highland Park Chipotle in Saint Paul closed their restaurant early and didnt make the food I already paid for just 10 minutes before on their app. After that fiasco, we decided to give Qdoba a try.I was hesitate to come here after a bad experience in Eagan. But we got great customer service and a complimentary side of chips and guac for filling out their survey. It was huge difference in customer service with compared to Chipotle. I can honestly say I will be back to this location over going Chipotle.
I have always been Team Chipotle but after today I am totally Team Qdoba! Chipotle has gone completely downhill and I will never order from there again. My order from Qdoba was accurate and delicious, such a simple thing but it seems to be uncommon for other places these days.
First off I ordered a chicken burrito bowl and they gave me steak. The steak was chewy. Second it was more rice than anything and kind of expensive. I dont know if I will order again.
I just left with take out food. Whoever the Hispanic guy is at this location is the most unpleasant and awful personalities I’ve run into in a while. Pathetic customer service, no smile or expression, acted annoyed and bratty and clearly isn’t even skilled enough to make a taco, I wish I cared further than this review to figure it out cause it’s in my hood, just beware of him, dark short hair and a miserable look on his face, can’t miss him.
Hands down the slowest staff as far as chipotles go around. There’s a crew of 3-4 in the back standing around on their phones while the 2 on the line gets overworked and no cashier in sight.
We went inside to order and waited 20 minutes but the staff were too busy. They didnt even greet us or let us know that it may take a while. They just looked at us and went back to what they were doing. It felt absolutely dehumanizing for them to ignore us for so long. We just left and are never going back.
I really enjoy Qdoba. This one is still only a couple years old so everything is still very clean and new. I like that they assume I want queso and ask which I want not whether I want it or not. Free queso and guac are great reasons to go. The customer service has had us and downs at this location but its been consistently good lately.
Original (01-31-2021):One of my burrito bowls had all of the requested ingredients and the other did not.One of my burrito bowls had the “new” Cholula Sweet & Spicy Chicken and it tasted just like they gave me their normal chicken option. The “new” Cauliflower Mash was good, but it is very little amount for the extra price they require for it and it makes the bowl very watery. The Cholula Sweet & Spicy burrito bowl tasted delicious and it had a great spice level (many restaurants fail at this for “hot” labeled ingredients). The prices are a bit expensive compared to similar restaurants like Chipotle. Although, you get your money’s worth with a side of chips and sauce of your choosing. The chip and queso amount is a very large, which is awesome.Overall, you can tell this establishment puts little effort into the details of their customers orders.Update (03-28-2021):I ordered a scheduled pick-up order (around 4 hours in advanceand no communication was provided that this location would be closed or not accepting orders for the day. My girlfriend drove all the way to the location to have the doors locked and didnt receive either of my 2 orders. I was emailed by Qdoba about 10 minutes before the scheduled pick-up time that the location may not have gotten the orders. This location wasnt supposed to be closed the day of the order nor was it a holiday or special occasion.
Horrible experience. Food was super dry on the line looked like it had been sitting for hours. I said something to the person making my bowl and she shrugged it off and just keep on going.. The lady at the register had a bunch of money and a money box out counting it right at the register like she was waiting for someone to rob them. Pop machine was so nasty I didnt even get my drink.
The blandest, driest bowl Ive ever had. Also didnt get any Salsa Verde & the other add ins were minimal. Definitely didnt look like the double portions I PAID for either.
Scheduled to pick 6:45pm on Monday evening. When I arrived on time they hadnt even started it and waited till the entire line of people that walked in to finish ordering and pay for their food before they started making my food. 10 minutes late. Can somebody please tell me what the hell the point of ordering for pickup even is?
Ordered delivery using the Qdoba app, and when the food arrived there were items missing. After calling the store, I learned that Qdoba contracts with doordash for deliveries, which was not made clear anywhere in the app.The manager ensured us that resolving the issue was out of their hands as soon as the driver picked up the food. They did offer us a credit for the food we could redeem at the store, but that sort of defeats the whole point of delivery!Mistakes happen and Im not mad about that. Manager did everything right given the situation, but the lack of transparency and the steep $5.00 delivery charge that Qdoba likely cant pay us back for is frustrating. Sure, I could call doordash and complain about all this to them too, but I went into the order assuming I wouldnt have to deal with bogus corporate hotlines.
I was there on a very very busy night, and could tell the staff were stressed with online and pickup orders. They made ordering a breeze and did not sacrifice quality of the meal!! They communicated about the extra wait time and were transparent about the order volume. Well handled, thank you essential workers!
I ordered a curbside pickup order, and called when I was there. I was told that someone would be right out and they asked me what vehicle I was in. 10 minutes passed and still no one was out. Mind you, I was there right on time when the order was supposed to be ready. I decided to go inside and just ask.. and I was greeted by someone so incredibly rude. I told her my situation and she said in the meanest tone "were busy" Which to her, I replied "I understand that" and she pointed me in the direction for the "pick up" orders were, and there it was just sitting there. If you are going to offer curbside then you should be able to fulfill that service. Dont make an excuse and say that you are busy. Clearly, you were not going to be out any time soon if you put it in the area that people walk in for pick up. Makes no sense, and I quite honestly wont be back because of this. Oh, and the food was subpar.
We placed an online order tonight. 4 meals. Got there, gent met me saying it was ready, wondering why I was looking the order over. Noted 1 meal missing. He told me it was all there. I told him one bowl missing. He said ge would take care of it and took printout back to fix the meal. Gave him $$cash tip. Got home, we Paid for brisket bowl, but he gave us rice and toppings, no brisket in bowl. Never had this trouble before. Will never order online again. Will only order in person. Not too cool. Lucky we like Qdoba, but this was not real nice to enjoy. Hope management and he learn from this review.
Service was awesome! Food was even better! Their smoked brisket is better than some that Ive had at BBQ restaurants. Everything was super fresh and clean. The tortilla soup was probably the best Ive ever had, it is a bit spicy but for me it was just the right amount of heat. I love that they serve the impossible meat, its a favorite of mine. My husband is a devoted customer of a similar very popular restaurant and he actually loved this one.
Great food, but one of the people MAKING the food did not have a mask on. If she were at the cash register that would’ve been bad enough, but she was making the food. I don’t know if I’ll be going back because of that. They have all these social distancing protocols in place and then I see that. Not ok. Way to make everyone uncomfortable. It makes me think they don’t care about the public.
We were originally planning on going to chipotle bit we were treated so badly there we drove away ad found Qdoba just down the street. It was our best decision the food was fresh and way more flavorful. I was greeted with a smile and and it turned my mood around. I will forever be thankful!
I tried this for the first time via DoorDash. The food was so fresh. Get the tortilla soup! The toppers are amazing, and the soup has amazing flavor. The guacamole was so fresh I couldnt handle it. Im so glad I went for extra 4oz portion. I was not expecting food of this quality and flavor from a chain restaurant. Well done!
A friend told me to come here and now I cant get enough! This place is fantastic, the food is fresh, the dishes are great and the prices are fair. I cant recommend the pork enough! Very juicy, not dry like a lot of places. Also, I gave the Impossible Taco a try and its really good.
If zero stars was an option, I would have gone with that. We have been loyal customers to this location since the week they opened. At the beginning, service was slow being a new location, but the food was always good. Tonight, that was not the case. We were met by the rudest women, who gave nothing but attitude. All the food was cold and even the queso was barely warm. Portions were substantially smaller than usual, which was disappointing when only getting a vegetarian bowl. When we got to the register she realized the chip drawer was empty. Rolled her eyes while getting the ladder to get more and then barely filled our bag maybe 25%. I’d be more than happy to discuss this with the owner as we will not be returning to this location. By reviewing some other poor reviews they’ve received, I’d recommend other locations before this one.
Stopped in close to 2pm. They were slow. The portion of the brisket was a really tiny pinch, so I basically paid 8 bucks for a cheesy bean and rice burrito. The girl did not know how to wrap a burrito she stood there white as sheep trying to remember how but tried to roll it into a ball. I tried to coach her how to fix the mistake. I gave 2 star review because I could tell that the girl was trying to do it right. It should have been 1 star because thinking about it. I wonder where or if a crew captain/coach is in place to help her succeed. She was on her own.
Excellent experience at the new west St. Paul location this afternoon! Not sure what the girls name is but the one with the bright vibrant red hair. She was extremely kind, knowledgeable on the options and provided exceptional customer service. Oh, and the food was delicious, the facility was clean, and the volume was nice, not half as loud as chipotle...my husband and I were actually able to hold a conversation.Second visit: different staff than the last visit and still top notch service.
