Q-Park Grand Parade - Parking Garage in Cork, Ireland
24 hour car park in the city centre. Big enough spaces and safe
Place is good, near main street just parking cost too i think
Teeny tiny car park. Takes 10 minutes to even get up and get a parking spot then another 5 to get out. We were charged for 2 hours which was €6.80 (3.40/hreven though we were just under an hour.Edit to add: I attempted to contact them like their response states. But they advised they cannot refund me without a receipt which is impossible because the machine takes the receipt in order for the gate to open and let you out of the parkade.
31 Euro for 4.5 hours???? Never again!!!!!Update- I’ve contacted customer service and a refund of 17 euros was processed
Very expensive rate. €3 per hour. The good thing is exit way is clearly displayed. Car wash also available. The cheaper alternatives are South Main Street and Paul Street carpark. At time I write this review, the South Main Street carpark is free of charge for the first 2 hours.
Gerard helped me to start my car with a flat battery. Thanks
Ideal car park location for shopping in Cork.
€3.40 an hour, tiny spaces. Parked from 5:01-5:13pm, 1 machine said it was €8. Pressed help button, no one answered. Tried second machine, €3.40 charge.
Seriously tight for large cars, anything bigger than a golf. Could barely get out of my car when I managed to wiggle into a space.
Expensive, narrow spaces, full and not wheelchair friendly. Went on a Thursday afternoon and place was almost full. So much so, we had to go right to the top to find a space which was a very narrow spot. On top of that, we had a person in a wheelchair (no disabled parking spots were available!). At the top level, theres no wheelchair accessible route to get to the lift and you have to get stairs to go down a level for the left. So, we had to go down the ramp instead that cars use. This is both dangerous and only possible with at least two people helping the person in the wheelchair. It also requires a physically fit person on way back when having to go up the ramp pushing the wheelchair. Only positive was car park was secure and in good location next to English market.
A bit too pricy and parking spaces are way too narrow, easy to get your car marked/scratched...
Great service and safe late at night on weekends. 3 euros per hour is not so bad. I would recommend this.
The parking price is higher and the parking slots are way too tight to park.
Great parking, lots of spaces and directly in city and shopping centre
Very narrow parking spaces and drive way, hard to maneuver. We were there on a Friday afternoon in April, almost full and could only find a space on the rooftop. And then, the only payment machine available was at the street level. Theres only one small lift and people were queuing for it, so we ended up climbing up and down the stairs to buy the ticket. The good thing about this is its just next to the English Market and theres a view on the rooftop.
We went to pay for ticket the machine broke. Staff answered phone payed for ticket. Got to barrier had to call a number of times as nobody answered the phone barrier would not open with ticket. Took a significant amount of time for phone to be answered with a growing que behind us. Not great service there should have been somebody at the desk to support but nobody was there. You may need to consider adding more staff to answer phones.
Expensive parking lot (3,3€hbut average price for the city cork. Although tight turns.
Parking spaces are very small, very tiny space to get in and out of the car. Giving 4 stars only because they have ev chargers. I think only 2 but after all you get something back for the cost of the parking.
€9.50 for 2 hours an absolute joke. Place it filthy and car parking spots are tiny. Wont be here again.
Over 20 minutes trying to leave the car park. Why don’t they keep the barrier open if they are having technical issues. Very annoying and made me late.
Over priced. We used it for 30 minutes and was charged 3.30. Its dirty. Lifts not working that wasnt new as we had been there a while back also. Everything is not clean and for the 5 star price theres no 5 star standards. We noted we had been to other less expensive carports and they had better maintenance. Gg
The man that minds the car park gave in his words a “compliment” to an teenage girl talking about her cleavage, I am out right discussed by his actions, absolutely vile, he had made the girl and the rest of the people at our own cars very uncomfortable to come back to a Q-park which is a shame because we have enjoyed our past experiences.
Pricey, disables spaces full of vans and spaced too narrow for cars bigger than a small city car. Lifts take ages to arrive and the Oliver Plunket Street door wont open without a ticket after a certain time.. not helpful of you have a tag in your car because you dont get one. Could do with a good clean also
There was blood in the lift and wouldnt help me when i lost my car park ticket and while it may be car park policy to charge 31 euro for a lost ticket exceptions should be made in some circumstances
Nice and clean, spaces can be a bit tight, but very good location not to expensive.
I used this car park in November of 2021 and it is lovely 🥰 Car washing facility, car parking spaces are obviously cleaned regularly no litter around the place fair play! It is located in a beautiful place and as we visited in November once we left the building we were greeted by gorgeous Christmas lights 💡 Recommend using this car park 💯%
Ideal location, central to Cork City, as I was working nearby. Plenty of spaces available in the evening when I was there. Easy to get around it, signs everywhere telling you where to go. Bit pricey, 8e for 3hours but not bad.
I parked at Q-park Grand Parade for the first time today and was charged €8:00 for the 12 minutes I was there. Sign at the entrance stated it was €3.10 per hour or part of an hour. I now assume there is a requirement to get your ticket validated at some certain shop/restaurants in the immediate vicinity but this was not apparent beforehand - and I had no reason to expect that this wasnt a normal car park - you know, like where you park your car, and you pay for it. Only giving one star as you cant post without selecting at least one
There is always a problem leaving this car park and never anyone to fix the problem. The woman at the other end of the help button is dog ignorant. Putting actual staff and helpful staff at that would make a massive difference as location is great.
If I could give zero stars I would. Ridiculously small spaces and no pedestrian ramps for buggys. I put my back out trying to get my baby out of the car and then had to carry the buggy down steps to access the lift? There were no spaces available on the lift floor. Really feel like I should send QPark my doctors bill. This issue was brought to their attention on at least 3 occasions that I can see from a glance at previous reviews.
Nice place to park in, ample of space to park. But just one problem is while paying, you have to pay somewhere else little far from the parking area
Awful experience. Had to queue to vaildate my ticket for 15 minutes as one the paying machines was broken. There was only one payzone with one machine for the entire car park. Zero provision for social distancing no floor markings etc. I hope i never have to resort to using that car par again
I was in it today and it will be for the final time . What an absolute dive it is . The cost of it isn’t a factor that bothers me , even though it isn’t cheap . The barriers take ages to work normally ,one of the lifts hasn’t worked for an absolute eternity , the spaces are tighter than a ducks bottom , there was a queue 50 yards long to pay , and there was a 10 minute tail back to get out of the dirty rotten kip . Nobody whatsoever inside in the office at the exit , to help every frustrated customer who couldn’t get out as the barrier wasn’t going up for minutes at a time . Any time I’ve needed assistance , the staff have been extremely abrupt , and even though it’s location is excellent, there’s no way in the world I’d ever go through the torture involved when you frequent this hovel
My least favorite car parking facility in the city and in my opinion the most expensive. Was in there today as it was handy for where I needed to go but really dont like the place. There seems to be a minimum charge as well of €3 no matter how short a visit you take where some places I have been give you the first 30min free. Too expensive, only as a last resort!
Have parked here several times a month for nearly 10 years. I have had several minor issues but nothing major. I had the misfortune of having to press the help button the last time I parked there and found the people who answered rude and aggressive. I spoke to two different and they were both really rude. I shall park elsewhere in future.
Ended up delaying a bunch of cars all for 3€ even though we had a validation ticket.Guy in the booth said he couldnt help us and we had to go to the ticket station.Blocked the whole place for 5 mins
Always parking here when going in the city but I had to search for cheaper car park because things arent quite right. Lift is not working for a couple of weeks if not months and it is very inconvenient for the older generations that have difficulty of climbing 5 levels. Very pricey. Well maintained but it did better in the past.
PLEASE AVOIDSomeone it my brand new car at the car park. After several attempts requesting to check the security cameras. After several back and forward with the head office in UK and a formal complaint we were left with no reply and totally ignored. They praise that they take care of your care.....nop just of your money. You will find cheaper and better options in the city.Take care and choose wisely.
When you park your supposed to be given 10 minutes grace to find a spot, I noticed that my ticket had a different time to my phone. It turned out that they print it 10 minutes fast so that you are automatically charged for the full hour, there is a button you press to speak to someone and I explained but wasnt being listened too, I told them clearly I would not be paying as it was a scam that they were doing. The person next to me put in a €20 euro note and was not given any change, she was told that you have to go on the website to apply for a refund, unfortunately I have seen this happen on quite a few occasions to people putting in notes so its not a one off, Q park in cork city are a disgrace
Good location but the price is extortionate. Car spaces are far too small, it is highly likely your car will get marked/scratched here if its anything larger than a mini.
We were parked for approx. 2.5 hours in Q-Park Grand Parade and we were charged €9.40 .... this is ridiculously expensive. Most cities charge €1-1.40 per hour and for some they have a day charge of €3.50 for 4 hours or more. Not the first time I’ve experienced high charges with Q-Park but this time it is extortionate. You really need to re-evaluate this. The charge should NOT be this high.
Q Park Grand Canal has a very good location if youre looking to park somewhere close to Temple Bar or any of the streets near there. The parking spaces are quite narrow and the entrance and exit to get into there would be quite difficult for anyone with a large base vehicle which would be concerning. The pricing due to being Dublin city centre is obviously quite high. But this quick park does accept easytrip car toll tags ( you need to go onto easytrip.ie to set this upand this means it is much easier for payment much more convenient.
The staff behind the help button were as helpful as a ham sandwich to a drowning rabbit.. ticket would not work in the machine they said I had “not” paid yet I had paid with a receipt to prove through the Maldron hotel, que of about 13+ cars behind me beeping and nothing I could do!The help staff said put on my hazards and reverse back?? To where?? After 15 minutes I was forced to leave my car and go pay a further €32 Euro’s to get out!Disgrace!!!
Best parking location. It is expensive but its a short walk from the main shopping street.
Parked there on Thursday 3rd January. Ticket cost 18 euro I paid in 20 euro . Machine swallowed up ticket and money, no change given. I had to press help button for a few minutes before I got a response. Machine was rebooted got ticket back but not validated and no change! Ws asked for my name and told to press hell button at exit and barrier would be lifted. When we go to barrier no response from hell button. Had to reverse back from barrier as a build up of 6 or 7 cars waiting to exit. Made another attempt to exit still had to wait a few minutes to get response from help button. Eventually we were let out after a lot of Hassle and being overcharged!! We have always used this carpark on our visits to cork. A bad experience this time we will never use this carpark again!!!
Park somewhere else. Car damaged twice in this car park over a period of a few months, with no come back from facility management. Cameras not working on all levels, so if there is any damage to your car there is no comeback. Terrible customer service. Spend your money parking somewhere who will value their customers
The service here has gone badly downhill.Had an incident where I forgot my premier card and so informed the parking attendant about my situationHe told me to go to the barrier, press the help button and tell them the attendant said leave you out.I went up got my car and drove to the barrier. I pressed the help button but nobody answered the attendant was no longer at the office.Cars started to build up behind me and people started getting irate. I tired paying contactless and by pin at the gate but neither option worked. Finally help desk answered after 5 minutes ..!I told the helpdesk the attendant said to let me out but she refused the request . She asked my for my premier car number but I didn’t know it as I’d left it at home. She then told me to back up my car can buy a ticket I told her I couldn’t reverse because the car behind me was blocking me.I then had to organise all the cars behind me to move to I could exit. The help desk seemed to have no idea of the physical layout of the building.I had leave my car go to the ticket machine and buy a ticket on the first floor … it cost me 27 euro.I am upset at level of customer service I received as a “premier customer”. I think Q-Park could have done better in many ways• Having staff at the booth at all times to handle the situation• The help desk should answer within seconds not 5 minutes !• Help desk should have done a reverse look up on my name and company and then let me out.• The contactless payment and chip in pin payment at the booth should be working• The help desk should talk to customers in a friendly tone in this situation and not assume guilt.
Staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Car park is spotless and location is great. Recently had a flat battery and David sorted it minutes. Takes all the stress out of having to park in the city .
A top quality car park. Ive only given it four stars because on my way home from collecting my tub of gravy granules, I tripped over a sausage in the middle of the car park and dislocated my elbow twice. A very good car park otherwise, just make sure you check for sausages in the middle of the car park.
Good car park bang on in the city centre. Easy access to the English Market, Liberty Grill, and St. Patrick Street. If you have the easytrip tag you can get in and out without rolling down the window.
