Pusat Penjaja Taiping - Restaurant in Taiping, Malaysia
many of delicious hawker foods. morning the chee cheong fun the best in town, corner kopi shop nice coffee, curry laksa and monay
Old school hawker center that catered to all races.
Alot of stall not open at 5pm
Porridge (non-halal side), naan & sotong-kangkung are good. The soya milk stall (corneris too sweet & not fragrant enough.
A lot of food choice.. good for family gathering Abd friend
lot of food stall...young tau foo
Nice food for dinner opposite our hotel , walking distance .. like the soya bean drink , chicken feet , curry laksa , the seller here friendly and honest ..
Nice food all though quite crowded on weekends.
We planned to try out local hawker food at the famous Larut Matang Hawker, unfortunately they were closed for one week to clean up the exhaust pipe during our visit. This is a good alternative place to experience Taiping local breakfast culture. We saw some nuanced and interesting food culture (as we come from the Southern part of Peninsula Malaysia). They serve half-boiled egg on toast which is served separately from where we come from. Also, there is an interesting must-try drink named “Ho Ga Sai” which literally means Tiger Bites Lion. It is a drink started since the tin-mining days where the miners mixed the coffee with MILO (chocolate drinkwhich was believed to provide “extra” energy for their laborious work at their workplace. We also popped by at one of the afternoon to have the beancurd dessert (at the corner stallwhich was smooth and melt in your mouth.
Pusat penjaja...hmmm...the best foodie center in Taiping where one can enjoy all types of foods at reasonable price n my favvy is kwayteow 🍲 soup...
I was there one of the evening. I sat at the chinese hawker corner where you can see soya bean, porridge and western food stalls. I tried the chicken and salted egg porridge with the soya bean drinks. I’m quite happy with it. The food court also has a chinese 煮炒 stall and another section of Malay stalls. At the center of the food court, there are a “I Love Taiping” sign for you to take some selfies!
Yong tau foo here is at the whole another level compared to every pasar malam yong tau foo ive eat so far. Cannot beat the size, taste, the kuah even the price. What I dont like a bit is the place. Space is tight and feels a bit uncomfortable to eat here especially when there are a lot of people going in.
This food court is famous for Yong Tau Foo.Youll find so many Yong Tau Foo sellers in one place. There are also other dishes here such as Nasi Goreng, Kerang Rebus, Satay, Len Chee Kang and many more. And they are halal. This place can be crowded during dinner time. Ample of parking spaces across the street. Theres also a busker group playing music to entertain customers.
ALL if the eateries selling yong tau fu. We went there on sunday, and it was super congested. But its worth it though
Here is the most delicious yong tau fu place for you
The salted egg bitter gourd rice of stall C38 is quite unique, tastes good too.
Tried the kerang rebus from Stall 17 Kak Lia, but 1/3 of the plate of kerang are all spoiled. One plate rm10 with 1/3 spoiled very expensive. Not worth the try. The Sotong kangkung RM 9 is not bad. More affordable and the kangkung is very fresh.
Good food. Just dissapointed with the chinese stall owners that dont share their tables with other stall customers unlike we in Selangor .
Best yong tai foo in town...u must try it...behind Balai Bomba...
If youre in taiping, this place is a must go. Its similar to ss2 hawker style with real authentic food and I have to say I randomly picked 2 stalls and both taste good! No complaints here as its relatively clean and the people are friendly.
The food served here is never a let down. Always lots of choices even though our first choice of revisiting the tasty popiah was denied as the stall was closed.
Irregardless non MCO or MCO, this place is always cramp. SOP is not being observed. Somehow the customers just could not care. I would suggest stay away for now.
Ok nice place but very pack during weekend.
Good place to find food especially in the evenings and nights. Many stall selling different varieties of food. The have malay shop at on side and the rest on the occupying the centre
If you are looking for Yong Tau Foo in the hot sauces, yes this is the right place. For drinks, also good. A lot of choice. But some of the shop here, very poor. The service too bad. The food taste, like longkang. They are using a soft plastic spoon. Not recomended for ala carts menu.
The best sotong kangkung i ever eat so far.I notice this food court pack with people (no SOP followedso please do take care of yourself. The sauce is very delicious! Squid was not overcooked.
Too packed. No SOP. I dont recommend eating here if youre concern about your health. The waiters mixed our orders and our foods were delayed because they didnt have many waiters to serve our food. You can get your food faster for the Yong Tau Fu vendors but some of them dont server it with soups(important)
Visited Nov 2021Avoid weekend, so crowded, cant really enjoy food.Harga satu pinggan (gambarRM50+Gerai plg kanan opposite hotel 👍
Locally style dish but poor service attitude when there are many customers
Not easy to find parking spot.
The Yong Tau Fu is a must try.
Have a lot variety of foods, from local to western, all you can choose, the famous one here is"yong tau foo".Price are reasonable and food test is good
Fish fried rice from c39 is good. The whole atmosphere of the place is a bit depressing though. Dark and uninviting
Dry, soup & curry Noddles serve here. Cheap & good. Good to go along with the half boiled eggs serve on top of the Toasted Bread😋
Wow.. Many yong tau foo can be found. So crowded place with limited car park and
Awesome food, must come and try some.
We tried C36 Tik Tok. The foods were great, big portion at a very reasonable price. The curry mee was the best.
Variety food. Yong Tau Fu is most popular here. If come to Taiping, u must try.
We always come back to this yong tau foo stall. The gravy is tasty. One plate as shown in the pic costs RM21 just enough for 3 of us.
Variety of food at reasonable price. Many options of Yong Tau Foo stalls but please dont go to the first stall (ASRA YONG TAU FOO if you are coming from Novotel Hotel. The staff from this stall is very unfriendly, not helpful at all and rude to their customers!
A good place to have a choice of local food homemade by different families. The price is good just use your senses to check the freshness.
A must try a place where muslim hawkers selling various type of young taw foo
I can only rate for the ambiance and crowd, not for food because im not buying anything here. The parking is free, i thought that uncle want me to pay for the parking, it is not. They just help me to park my car. I was freaking embarrased with my own attitude. There got many choice of food and type of stall. Some of them selling western, fried rice and tomyum, yong tau foo and even ice shave fruit.Good for the local food hunting because its all in one place. The location just across the mall.
Nice food..frequently packed on holidays..so better come early..price is reasonable and affordable for anyone
Many food choices here. Sure have one that suits you. Economic and nice.
Last 30 years ago my parent bring me when i was child.those authentic food in here are still original and delicious
Where else if not Yong Tau Foo Balai Bomba Taiping.. No regret at all...
Many choices but the main attractions is stall37 cheese cheong fun. Superb silky soft. Another is the yutiew or yew char kueh
A popular place in taiping especially if you are looking for yong tau foo. Have a variety of choice. A lot of shops to choose from, theres malays, chinese, and other foreign foods available. The cleanliness of the place can be improved more. People there are friendly. Parking is quite difficult. There is someone illegally charging you parking fee. So be careful.
come and try the famous yong tau foo in town..theres a lot of choice of another food such as all kind of nasi goreng..this is the place you can get nasi goreng usa for rm5 only..
