Pura Vida Gardens And Waterfall - Botanical garden in Cartago, Costa Rica
What a beautiful experience! Amazing!
If you want to see the diversity of plants and flowers in Costa Rica 🇨🇷 thats the place to go.
Buen lugar para caminatas por jardines y linda vista al golfo de nicoya
Beautiful garden!
Absolutely beautiful. Nothing else to add.
This a truly a wonderful garden with a delightful owner and helpful staff. Fabulous views and interesting trees and plants. As for the birds there were macaws Nesting in the garden and sitting in the trees. The view from the little restaurant was magnificent. You could see right across to the Pacific ocean and the waterfall in front. Well worth a visit on your way to the airport from Manuel Antonio. Not touristy at all.
We had a great time touring the beautiful Pura Vida Gardens. We also had the pleasure of meeting the owner and groundskeeper. Amazing mix of fauna and wildlife, scenery. It was well worth the trip and cost of admission.
A very beautiful place to visit. Lots of flowers and trees and even saw 4 Macaws when we were there. I would go back.
Second time here. Good for half of day. Little pricey but a good cause.
A lovely place to visit for the trees, plants and varied wildlife. Scarlet Macaws nesting in a dead tree and many more in the trees around the park. We visited in the dry season and the water falls were disappointing after all the hype.Well worth a visit and good value.
Very large botanical garden but no plant signage
Beautiful gardens
Skip this and do the hike down the road for 20 bucks. This was all old people who had $1000 cameras and couldnt make the trip to the actual falls. You only get a view from a quarter mile away observation deck! Bah! The cost to see the falls is $10 not worth it at all. No access to swimming and the secret trail on the side of the observation deck is like pro level stuff! Bring markers or you will get lost. To be honest, I went half way down and turned around it was too intense. Probably because it isnt part of the actual attraction lol.
We visited with a tour group from a Princess Cruise and were very pleased. We saw hundreds of different plants and flowers plus a number of beautiful birds.
Le jardin botanique est très beau. Par contre la vue sur la cascade est très partielle. Jolis points de vue sur locéan. Cest très cher pour ce que cest.
A MUST IF YOUR STAYING CLOSE TO JACO
Serene place with gorgeous views fantastic for meditation
Nice little drive, but watch out for the gnarly potholes! Hidden little trails with amazing views!
Not as impressive as the signs indicated but it was a lot of fun getting there!
Crazy over priced
Not bad for a walk but limited wildlife and the waterfall was low as it was the dry season
Lovely gardens, well worth the admission. You could easily spend 2-3 hours wandering and photographing. Waterfall is a bust, follow short trail for long distance view, Thats it.If you go, know that the road up takes a while so preservere. If you like flowers Its worth it
nice place
Très beau site. Nous avons vu de très belles fleurs et pu profiter dune très belle vue.personne, Nous étions les seuls à profiter de cd grand jardin. Un pur bonheur.
Our hotel called ahead and we were told that they didn’t have the package (ride, entrance fee and meal), but if we can make it there on our own that would be ok. Our hotel concierge arranged for a taxi, but when we got there it was closed. A nice passerby stopped and informed us that it is closed Sundays. We ended up eating at the Ti-ko restaurante which was nice with stunning views, but no waterfalls. A bit disappointed as nowhere in the brochures it mentions that it is closed Sunday’s... Website and brochures need to be updated and staff needs to be better informed. From what we could see through the gates it looks nice. The only explanation we can come up with is that there was miscommunication between the company which arranges the package and the hotel and the Pura Vida Jardin and Waterfalls.Anyway, definitely CLOSED SUNDAYS.
Far too maintained. Like a your well looked after home garden
This is a wonderful place, make sure you have your walking shoes. You will want to see everything.
Well kept gardens. Go in the wet season though as impressive waterfalls are a far less impressive in dry season
Is pretty but..$20 us pp and youre on own to walk. Pretty views but not maintained - dont lean on the railings. The mountainside restaurant on the way back down is a gem to stop at and take in the view with a nice cool beverage.
These gardens were beautiful, it was part of an excursion from our cruise ship. The views and plants were stunning. It was made special because I was using crutches following a knee operation and couldnt make it to certain parts of the garden. The lovely kind owner drove me down in his car so I could see the waterfalls x
Very beautiful
Beautiful! You can only see a bit of the waterfall though.
Nice gardens but overpriced. $20 for this??? And the waterfall view is not great.
Very beautiful views, a little overpriced for the experience though since its all self guided and the property can be completely explored in about 25 minutes if exploration. There are also no areas to sit and rest to enjoy the plants and views.
Wonderful place, food was out this world, the host was very friendly
The most amazing views, beautiful botanical garden and trails. Scarlet Macaws are around most of the times which is a plus.
Extremadamente caro!!! Es un robo pagar USD$20 por persona para lo que ves en este lugar! Los jardines son bonitos pero nada extraordinario. La cascada es un chiste! Es tan pequeña e insignificante que ni se la ve! No lo recomiendo
A little pricey but not bad. Consider Rainmaker as an alternative.
Nice paved or stone paths through the hill tops. Nicely kept, this is more garden tour than waterfall, the big waterfall is seen but from a great distance. Smaller waterfalls are in the gardens. Lunch at the restaurant was nice. Nothing here for children. It was more expensive than it should have been. Road in was junk.
A vast and stunningly beautiful gardens, and a wonderful place to look for hummingbirds. We didnt give ourselves enough time to walk all the paths. I would give yourself a half day or so. During certain times of the year, the waterfall is very beautiful, but you cant get very close to it. This is a must see place if youre in the area.
Beautiful property and the food and service were great too.
Call before you go! Went up at 2:30 on a Friday and the gates were closed. Checked the website and no notification.
Really nice gardens and overall a top notch experience.
Closed during my visit but the views were great. The drive up there is horrible so be prepared.
Beautiful garden and definitely off the beaten path. Lots of paths can easily spend 2 hours wandering around the grounds. My family of three only ones visiting on a Sunday afternoon. $20 / person.
Tried visiting on Sunday the 29th of January and the gates were locked. No information given on any online sources. Call ahead!
One of a kind. Privacy and nature all around it.
Nice place.
Superb garden with a great view. Very quiet . Feels like a private visit! Our fourth visit, we love it.
Got married there. Amazing!
