Pura Club in San Francisco

The best latin night club in the whole bay are. Maybe in northern California. Four large dance floors spread out through three different floors each one with its own bar. Amazing music and plenty of girls to dance with. Professional staff and if you get your ticket online you skip the line. Can you say awesome!!! A must go to when in San Francisco. Dont miss out!!!

Amazing club, great for dancing, high priced drinks and tbh they gotta get a dehumidifier in there. Every floor feels so musty. U just walk around and then condensation happens and youre soaked. We gotta figure that out. Everything else is amazing.

This place is so much fun! I cannot believe I had never even heard of it. There are 3 floors and 4 dance floors (pop/rap/rnb music, reggaeton, salsa and I’m not sure what the last one waseach floor had a bar and sections and they all feel like their own place. I had the time of my life- I definitely recommend

The club is fun once you get inside. HOWEVER, something is likely wrong with the devices they use to scan IDs. One of the female workers outside was saying that my ID was fake she even brought someone else over from security saying I had showed up with a fake. They were looking me up and down very judgmental. The other guy that was checking IDs intervened though and told her to let me in. If it weren’t for him she probably would have broke my ID right then and there. I couldn’t quite make out what he told her but I should mention that I am a white latina with curvy body type and I was dressed according to the dress code (I was wearing a dress and heels). I’m not claiming this to be the reason they let me in but you can reach your own conclusions.

FOUR DIFFERENT DANCE FLOORS! This club was so fun. Two dance floors on the main floor, one upstairs overlooking main dance floor, and one downstairs. Everyone looks good and dressed to party! Drink prices also were DECENT! I paid $11 for a vodka cran that was strong and my bf paid same price for a good whiskey sour. Impressed and we went early and got the dancing started it was super funnm. Got super hot and sweaty later. There are CLEANING STAFF EVERYWHERE, such a dream come true.

This club is the worst. Sold us a VIP and 30 min later were harassing us to finish our bottle and get out. VIP service means nothing and better believe they bring a gang of security to throw you out. Good luck spending your money VIP is 2 thumbs down. Save your money no AC, hot as hell and Covid infested.

I’ve always loved this place and the variety of music they play. But I got my phone stolen from there last Saturday and friends say apparently it’s very common here. In my opinion, not worth the risk coming here.

I came to dance banda and it said online they have babda its lie they didnt have banda and Im mexican and I love me some banda I was so disappointed I know alot of people were they had 2 room with similar music like regeton salsa and just similar music plus a room upstairs with English music but no banda at all worst night for me and my peeps 😡 they use to have a banda and good Cumbia room but it wasnt there today

This is basically a Latino club with weak & expensive drinks; bad bad music; stink dancing floor half way through the night; and , lots of not pretty people.

Sorry for leaving a bad review, but I had really bad experience with front door staff at Pura Club who was inappropriate and even rude while checking people for “dress code”. This place has a dress code for men’s shoe type which should be reviewed by club management. I had very bad experience with front door people who were very rude and didn’t allow me and 4 of my (femalefriends to enter the club after we have been waiting 20 minutes in line. Nobody told us about dress code in the beginning, when we were at the end of the line that the men only wear black leather shoes (business typein a dance club. I was wearing white leather sneakers from Italian brand, however I was turned down at the list minutes when me and my friends were already checked for id’s. Sorry, it is my first bad review but I thought it is important to share it with other people who might have the same problem. I also hope that this review will help management of the Pura Club to review their “dress code” policy which currently looks discriminatory. Thanks and best regards.

One of the places in SF that has outside patio seating... Serves beers on draft as their main specialty and burgers and hotdogs. Reminds me of being in Austin! Cool vibe!

These great reviews must be written by the club patrons. First and foremost you pay $25 cover charge to dance to lousy music. The cashier lady gave me back my change well it was $25 short then she apologized and gave back me $20, still $5 short. She was dishonest. Now moving onto the water down drinks. You can’t even get a Long Island iced tea not an Incredible Hulk. Mehhh save ur money or go somewhere else.

This place is ran by incompetent people.Please wear:Collared shirts (no plaid or flannel)Dress shoes (not Timberland style)No shorts.That’s what their website dress code rules say. So I wear a brand new $150 Ralph Lauren collared polo shirt and that’s not acceptable? Mabey you should include that in the rules...spend you money elsewhere, they just keep their dress code rules vague so they can profile individuals.

My friends and I have continued to come to Pura since 2008. Primarily for their Saturday night events. Great mix of Latino, HipHop, top hits across the 3 different room (formally 4).Si quieren fiesta, aquí es el lugar!

The place is good it has several dance floors each one with different type of music reggaeton, cumbia, merengue y hip hop. Buen ambiente mas musica internacional que Mexicana.

Went here with a couple of friends for a birthday party, but the security is the worse! I have never experienced such a bad type of service from any security personnel in San Francisco until I came to this place. Bo the security guy was letting people cut in and people who had polo shirts but when my friend tried to get in with a polo shirt he said that was not possible. When Asked him as to why he let other people with polo shirts through, he got aggressive. Such a hostile attitude! Maybe they should train their security to be more customer friendly since we came to have fun and spend some money. I guess well just take our buisness somewhere else.

First and last time going there.. I heard good things about it but the actual experience was different . Myself , girlfriend and her friends all went out to have a good time at PURA .. We were all dressed according to the dress code and everything was good . When we were waiting in line one of the security guards told my girls friend not to be drinking her Red Bull in line . She threw it away and he made a stupid remark “ act like they don’t know club policy “ clearly we don’t it’s our first time . Secondly when we got to the door they checked our IDs and everyone was good expect me . They claimed my ID wasn’t scanning and didn’t want to let me through . I explained to him it wasn’t a fake ID it’s a real license and there is no way it can’t be scanning everyone else is going through just fine . He “ scanned it again “ and said yea sorry can’t let you in . I was upset and didn’t like the way they handled that situation .

I love the fact that the club closes around 4AM PST , so that gives me enough time to be strategic with my exit. This club has at least four dance floors, multiple bathrooms, and bars to enjoy to club. I highly recommend for those who want to party past 2AM!

Ive performed here and attended events. Having multiple rooms is awesome!BUT, the no "ins and outs" is not fun.Theres no food served inside and after a few hours, its time to change locations to find food/snacks, etc.I dont appreciate being held prisoner in a club; especially if theyre not serving any food. So, it earns 2 stars at best, because of this.

Too stricked on Nike air max shoes,I have managed events,artists,staff,employees also....never reject a pa6ing customer especially for the cover fee of ten dollars.when ive paid alot more,yall slightly offer anything entertaining,award winning artists too play the role of strict wardrobe requirements. Dont forget ur business environment aint even in a low crime rate location.

I was supposed to see Kap G perform 12/08/2018 for my girlfriends birthday But security ruined it!!! They were just looking at everyones id but when it was my turn they started scanning mine then kicked me out of line because my id wasn’t scanning? Why was I getting treated differently than everyone else? Why didn’t security scan everyone else??? The worst part is I dressed in their strict dress code all for nothing. I didn’t let Pura Club ruin the fun I had planned for my girlfriend that night and we still had a blast down the street at a club called City Nights

Im in a band and this is one of my favorite places to play. The sound is amazing, service is incredible, and the people there are so friendly. Its the best place in Pomona if youre just stopping by for a drink, to check out a show, or to play a show, I highly recommend.

Fun place if you want to really dance! Has mainly a Latin theme with other genres mixed in! Beaware it gets full quickly so bring a little extra patience. Would for sure recommend if you want a fun Saturday night out!

I had a blast. Im not too picky with clubs because I just go for the music. I enjoyed all of the floors it had with a variety of music. It was a nice social environment because there was no sloppy drunks that I could see. Overall it was great.

For the short time I was there, found the place fantastic! Several different areas to dance at or stand aside. Bathrooms were plenty and clean. Great music on either floor. Am looking forward to attending again soon!

I LOVE this place and been coming almost every Saturday for the last 8 years. Only come here if you really want to get your dance on! 4 large rooms with different music in each mostly Latin except for the hip-hop room upstairs.

Its gone a long way. The lines are now reasonable, and so are the searches, thank you.Venue is still multi level and offers multiple level DJs concurrently.I didnt user to like 1015, but its becoming ok now.

Once youre inside its great but they are so dramatic and on a power trip at the door , every time I go they dont let someone in our group in. It could be for simply wearing a plaid shirt that literally the person in front of us had as well.

Great vibe in this club. Different rooms with different types if music playing. The very big downfall is that there is only 1 mens and 1 womens bathroom. So once everyone hashad a few drinks the lines take forever.

Several dance floors with different music styles. Great music. Friendly. Seemed safe and fun. Top floor got a little grungy if you go for that sort of thing. If not, there were plenty of other dance floors to see. The dancers on the pedestals are tasteful and beautiful. Lots of people to meet without it devolving to a meat market. Lots of women, not as many men, but the men know how to dance, rarely sat down and were respectful. I had a great time.

Racist Bouncers. Profiling everyone going in the club. Apparently if your valid ID doesnt scan in their gameboy machine which they hide from your view, they ask for a passport. Didnt know you needed a passport to get in a club... The reviews speak for themselves. Take your money to Tequila Lounge in Redwood City, smaller but worth the drive and hassle free security!

A co-worker from Colombia (where Im also fromrecommended it very highly so I had pretty good expectations. Brought my girlfriend and a couple of friends of hers.The music was mediocre in all halls; in one the D.J. started making weird screams/singing along, destroying the music. Pretty lame. Muy mala música, nada de la buena salsa que estaba buscando; at best I got one or two good songs. I dont know if I disliked the DJs selections worse than their constant talking/singing on the mics (at least in one of the halls).Dudes would start hitting on my girlfriend and her female friend in ridiculously creepy ways just seconds after I turned the other way, making them feel very uncomfortable (and they both love trashy clubs!).The place is anything but upscale.

Lots of fun, multiple rooms with different style music. Expensive cover charge, but totally worth it. It gets hot, but if you go into the largest room they mist you with cold fog. Lots of fun!

Attention dancers, this is not a place to come and find someone to dance. I came to San Francisco from Houston for a salsa Rueda festival and decided to give a try to this place. Every single girl said NO!. You know is one of those places
