A family-run Indian restaurant with a colourful dining room, tandoori dishes and a banquet menu.
All staff were super friendly and efficient. Food was very good and well priced. Would recommend.
Ordered via Uber Eats. Food was delicious and hot on arrival, considering it was a wet and rainy night. Naan’s were huge and full of flavor. Very nice. Thank you.
This is some of the best food I have had in brisbane for an extremely reasonable price. I have lived in the building directly next to Punjabi palace for 10 months but I did not go until this past weekend and now feel regretful that I didnt go sooner since I am leaving the region soon. This restaurant is genuinely one of the gems of South brisbane. We had the banquet which ran us about 37aud per person and included 3 appetizers per peson, our choice of Naan (punjabi Naan was cheesy, buttery goodness), 2 entrees, dipping sauce, and rice. We ordered the chicken Tikka Masada (fireand goat curry (very tasty). This place is actually amazing. - also BYO is available for a 3 dollar corkage fee and even if you dont bring your own, their drinks are very affordable.
Best Indian food I have had in Brisbane. The wait staff were friendly, polite, efficient and attentive.Food was brought out hot, fresh, was of excellent quality and very flavoursome - spice level is tailored to order. The atmosphere is nice, good sturdy tables with adequate space.Great place for casual dining, open late, good for dates or eating out with friends and family.Highly recommend this place and will be returning [:
Punjabi Palace restaurant is absolute great place. The food is always fantastic Absolutely the best meal we had while in Brisben. The staff is also really friendly and polite.Highly recommend!
Service and atmosphere were nice but food was very average. "Garlic naan" was a dry pita pocket stuffed with chopped garlic
One of the best Indian restaurant in Brisbane. Great food and amazing service. The Goat Curry is to die for, the meat just melts in the mouth. The taste and quality are always consistent no matter how busy they are.
Ordered a takeaway from here. Arrived to collect and eftpos had broken down. Fortunately we had cash. They were busy and we had to wait an extra 10 minutes. But the wait was definitely worth it. The food was excellent and the flavours were brilliant. Would definitely go back there again.
Service was super fast even with the venue packed to the brim, 15min after being seated & only just deciding what we wanted to eat staff where ready to take our order.Food came out in 20min was pleasantly surprised.Only down side was upstairs seating area is .... very corporate function room and not indian, no music, no nice snells or colourful decor.
for anyone looking for great indian food, with equally good service this is where to come. we had the banquet which meant we got to sample a terrific range of food without having to pick out individual dishes (apart from the mains a good bottle of wine from their very reasonably priced wine list completed a fantastic food experience. my wife ordered a mild butter chicken and thats exactly what it was, i.e. mild and tasty. i ordered a medium kadahi chicken and yeah it was medium to a tee. not only was every dish flavoursome but the quantities were generous to the point where we asked for doggy bags to take home and of course no problem.if youre looking for a great food experience youll be well served at the punjabi palace. well certainly be back when next in brissie.martin and diannebroken head, nsw
Best naan Ive had in a while, butter chicken was nice, and lamb korma tender. Didnt rate the lamb mince samosa or lamb kebab. Would give 3.5 stars if I could.
Great food! Good service. Reasonable prices. Decent size servings. Was not disappointed.
Quick service, delicious food! Definitely recommend the chicken madras and slow cooked goat curry, so so tender just melts in your mouth!
We been there yesterday to celebrate my sons bday, we ordered kadahi paneer for my son bcz that’s his favourite dish, staff gave us kadahi chicken rather then kadahi paneer, when we told staff that our order is not right she just said sorry and walk off, no replacement of food, my son didn’t ate anything, I was feeling so bad that why did we choose this restaurant.
thanks for great food and hospitality , we can say its very successful bday party, always see its hard to get service from other restaturant ,but here we got everything, like delicious foods and great customer service .i will higlly recommend to everyone punjabi palace restaurant, thanks again for chef and all staffs
Lovely, friendly staff and gorgeous food. Even my Dad was impressed (and he is hard to please). Well be back!
Came here several months ago and neglected to rate it. These guys have the most efficient kitchen and front line staff.Fast and efficient service and so helpful with queries.Kitchen understands how to make a mild curry, and on the other end of the spectrum, does spicy on 3 levels. Flavours of the curries were delicate and sublime. My butter paneer was exactly how I thought it’d be. Naan was pillowy soft and tasty.I was advised the meat curry was good too.Would not hesitate to come back again or recommend. Thank you!
Consistently excellent Indian food. Weve been coming once every few months for about a decade. Highly recommend their butter matar paneer.
Had a lovely meal with a bunch of friends. (They dont do spilt bills, but thats okay). Good curry, better consistencies then other "soup curry" places. Little expensive but a great variety and lovely waiting staff. Also, I like my naans with more garlic, but that might just be me.
Excellent value. A consistent quality. And my most personal preference in Indian food is the meat. This is consistent and lean.
BEST INDIAN RESTAURANT In BRISBANE! Hands down! Everyone needs to come and try this authentic Indian cuisine! The service was fast and the food was 10/10 👍
The food was excellent n my order also came quick but the quantity of curry is not worth according to price which is around $20 each.
When you see a full restaurant and a line up of people collecting take away as well, plus the UberEats tablet constantly ringing, you know its busy for a good reason. Love supporting a friendly family run business. The chicken tikka biryani warms my soul ❤️
Best Indian Restaurant in Brisbane.Punjabi palace is my favorite Indian restaurant in town; paintings on the wall display the spirit of India. Staff members are very friendly and with great customer service skills. Food is prepared with fresh and high quality ingredients. The food is sensational. Garlic cheese naan is so tasty by itself; and if you dip them in the curries, you wont be able to stop eating them. I ordered 2 initially and my tummy requested me to add another 2.For the curries, I ordered Chicken Tikka Masala and Beef Ceylon both with mild flavor. The chicken was cooked skillfully that all the flavor had been soaked up by the meat. The beef was tender, juicy and easy to chew.I definitely recommend the restaurant and I will come back again in the near future to try different dish on the menu.
been coming here for over a decade, always treat their customers amazing and genuinely the best Indian food in Brisbane.
Punjabi Palace has a very nice family atmosphere, excellent service and delicious food at a reasonable price.Unique ambience - the music is not loud, just pleasant background chatter.I also like that I don’t feel rushed like in other restaurants where they are eager to take the plates away. They are also open till late.
We had a beautiful takeaway dinner from here during a short stay near by. One of the best authentic Indian meals we’ve ever had… we eat a lot of Indian too :Definitely worth trying :)
Great food, but the service is average (serving staff are so quiet that you cant hear themand it was very noisy when we visited as there must have been a rave going on up stairs. Take away recommend
What amazing flavours🍽. The $32 Banquet was a total 🏆 winner. Fast delivery of food to the table, attentive staff and very friendly. Good selection of drinks menu. Absolutely will eat or get delivery from here when back in Brisbane (From Melbourne)
I have dined at Punjabi palace in west end for several years. Superb service, such kind staff and the food takes me back home to the motherland. Also this is Stefan, Naomi’s partner. I had to log in to her account because I had a few too many Prosecco’s and forgot my password for my Google account. Moral of the story, come to this restaurant, you won’t be disappointed. I cannot commend this place enough. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Awesome food and lovely people. We rocked up pretty late after a flight and they were very accommodating. The food was excellent. Highly recommended
We ordered makhani chicken, karahai chicken Malai kofta and 4 naan.. To be honest the food was average, Makhani chicken and Malai Kofta were very bad quality. Moreover the quality of naan was totaly artificial ( Thick and flufy). So never been visit again..
Had the buttered chicken last night while staying in the city. It was AMAZING havent had good Indian in a long time.Definitely recommend
Cosy restaurant, good service and authentic Punjab cuisine.
Ordered butter chicken, tikka masala, garlic naan and saffron rice. Taste of the curries were quite good and delicious, however portions are quite small and very expensive. The curries were around $20 each - and really just for one person. Garlic naan was alright but could use more improvements in my options - the overall texture wasn’t great and didn’t taste much of the garlic.
Great service. Came in with no idea what I wanted and was served very politely.Food was also great. The recommended curry (I cant remember the namewas delicious.
This is one of my favourite local eateries but in the last 4 months the place is not being managed as before. They are an EXTREMELY popular choice because their food is really good but unfortunately there are not enough staff. They have constant uber delivery pick ups happening and should have one staff member dedicated to that as opposed to that same staff member also seating people, taking money at the till and clearing/setting table..I have never seen more than 3 staff even at peak times. The staff they do have are really lovely. The wait times for food are very high when seated and when walking in the place is often half full of uncleared tables. Please hire some more staff as lots of your customer love your food but are getting fed up and trying new curry house options nearby.
Best Indian we have ever tried!! Other restaurants are okay but this is the best - the flavours are just perfect. At other Indian restaurant all you can taste is grease, oil & chilli but the flavours at Punjabi Palace are sensational. We tried this restaurant for the first time yesterday and they were absolutely packed upstairs and downstairs despite the other restaurants in the area being empty and now we know why! Service was fast (considering how busy it wasand staff were so friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back again and again!
Worst Indian food everButter Chicken- chicken tasted like they were boiled chicken and just poured in before serving. I can guarantee you that you will find better butter chicken anywhere else than thisPaneer Tikka Masala - exactly same sauce used in Butter Chicken, supposed to have diced capsicum, there was none, supposed to have diced Onion but there only burned Onion, paneer was not soft eitherNaan Bread - have you tried those frozen naan breads at supermarkets, it was worse than that. No Indian restaurant sell these kind of naan breads, you can do a comparison yourself.I live just next to it since last 3 years and earlier this week was the first time I went there purely because Dalchini restaurant was closed so wanted to try them out otherwise I never go there. My family hated the food and threw it all away in the bin. We had to order something else that night. Please dont bother going here, you will regret it if you know how Indian food taste like.
Best authentic Indian food in Brisbane by miles. We were visiting from interstate and were blown away by the flavors. Great family run business. Will be back again. Thanks
Really amazing food, good portions and came out very quick. 👍👍
over priced indian food with very small size serves, see picture of their standard serve size. First time in my life I had a chicken tikka masala dish from this restaurant that doesnt have capsicum and onion cubes. they do not serve authentic naan bread, what they serve is called "khamiri roti" which is chewy and tasteless. Food isnt fresh nor authentic.Owener just contacted me today 23/03/22 and abused me for giving them a bad review. What a customer service.
I first had a meal at Punjabi Palace a month ago, and have returned back several times since—simply because I can’t get over the taste of the delicious food. The quality of preparations is always top class here.Very happy to recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic Indian cuisines! Once again, thank you Punjabi Palace. 👍🏼
The curries were very fragrant and creamy. My favourite Indian restaurant in Brisbane
The kheema samosas were superb .... But the salad with it was sad.The chicken jalfrezi curry was medium hot as ordered but tasted almost like spiced up butter chicken. The onion naan was nice and soft. The yellow rice.....run of the mill stuffThe restaurant did not have a Thali for one.Great wait staff.
Food here is great, creamy curries, free papadums on arrival and very friendly staff. There is so much to choose from. Had the biryani and butter paneer which was delicious and so filling. The girls working here are polite and table service was great. I loved being able to do an online reservation and they then send you a text to confirm. It’s so easy. I had done an online reservation just 30mins before and I got a table, no issues. Would visit again.
We saw a few uber eats people visiting, saw a lot of Caucasians but definitely as an Indian, we did not enjoy. The chicken tikka felt water plumped, but the flavours were good. Sauce in that dish was the best thing on the night. The Lamb biryani had the Lamb cooked well, but the rice and flavours were all wrong, it tasted like puliogare and had a grainy taste. Left the dish and ate only the lamb pieces. Was a let down but that was my ethnic experience, others may enjoy though.
Great Indian with all of the usual choices you would expect. The Naan bread of amazing and the butter chicken was not sweet. There wasnt a spare seat in the whole restaurant which is a good sign that it is a popular place to dine, there were also lots of people in that time ordering takeaway. Food came really quickly which was nice. A few tables sitting outside which was quieter and more private for us.We will be back!
For those who want a real review on this establishment here it is. 100% real stuff. First off, the place looks good, its vibey, full, we were served quickly and did not have to wait. Free popadums was served immediately. Impressive. Service, quick and spot on, very happy indeed. Overall Id give the service 5 stars. Starters, we ordered the tandoori chicken, terrible, boiled chicken omg so disappointed. Worst way to start my great evening. My wife ordered the chicken tikka masala and I had the lamb masala, never in my history of traditional indian food have I ever been so let down. Dont get me wrong, if you have no clue what Indian food is supposed to taste like I.e if you are not indian, you will probably not know any different and think you are eating the good stuff. Eeeeeerrrr no. This food is not prepared fresh, go to dosa hut or top in town for real good indian food. I must say their naan bread is one of the best Ive had which made up for the meal and actually makes the terribly prepared meals average. Their hot is below mild. It is clear the market they cater for is not really true Indian so you cant blame them. Unfortunately I have eaten at places that set the bar really high for a lot less. Prices average. Not a return customer.
My go-to for Indian food. Ive been eating here for years, and it still delivers. Their lunch menu is great value. I recently discovered that they have levels of heat above "Indian Hot". So far Ive tried up to level 2 Indian hot. The curries are great, and the naan bread is delicious. Im a fan of the palak paneer (spinach and cheese currywhich is a North Indian dish.
