Relaxed restaurant featuring traditional Indian curries & breads, plus a weekday lunch buffet.
They have their days - sometimes they wanna be nice & other times they weird attitude. Food is okay. Try preet palace if youre craving Indian foods
Very dependably good food at great prices compared to other restaurants that have hiked prices, love the Methi chicken and Methi paneer - it is the best here!
Chilli Paneer is excellentGood food for Punjabi taste budsNo added cream or sweetner to enhance taste like many other Indian restaurents
Hands down the best chicken tikka masala in the area. It’s cooked in a typical Punjabi way with well balanced spices (I’m so glad the gravy isn’t on the sweeter side). The entrée also came with a side of naan/rice.My husband had the chole bhature and absolutely loved it.Everything tasted so fresh and delicious. Another big plus is the cleanliness of the restaurant & the beautiful ambiance. We will definitely be visiting this place again.
We had a birthday party for 7 year old at this place. The owner was very accommodating. They allowed us to decorate the place the way we wanted. The food was great. Bhindi, daal , samosa - choley, and gazar halwa etc was super yummy. The service was top notch. The staff was super attentive and they made sure the food was hot and keep on refilling it.Our guests loved the food and hospitality. If you are planning to host a party outside, you shall definitely check Punjabi Junction.
PUNJABI JUNCTION Is an Indian Restaurant located in Northern Virginia, Good place Nice Ambience
Food is good. Delivery through GrubHub has missing items consistently it seems. They try to make up for it but the third time it happened they came up short after telling me they will deliver the missing rice in 5 minutes. I had to rectify through GrubHub and then they called me for some reason I told them I rectified with GrubHub and told them my complaint they hung up the phone in the middle. Bad customer service which makes me contemplate buying from them again. Will not recommend them in the future as not worth he frustration if things are forgotten. I think the worst is getting hung up on while you are complaining. I hope the owner reads this and tains employees better. Update: gotten way better.
One of the best Indian restaurants in the area. Highly recommend this place. The Naan is one of the best you will ever have. Love it.
Best authentic Indian food in the area. A+++ quality of food and service.Love it.
This is definitely not a RECOMMENDED place near Loudoun with RUDE EMPLOYEES and their food isn’t that good. There are bunch of better Indian restaurants compare to this one. Employees are extremely racist. I had diarrhea after consuming the food here…HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED AND DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY HERE!!!
So many issues with this place. Firstly, I ordered through ubereats and they got my order all wrong. I specially asked for mild dal and wrote a note indicating that it’s for the kids. The dal was super spicy, with chilies floating on top. Rice was missing. Marked the paneer as regular not spicy, it was burning spicy! Everything that was marked regular and mild like fish pakora, chicken, kabob was all so spicy for even a person like me who loves spicy food. Wasn’t able to feed this to the family at all.Secondly, when I called and asked to speak with the manager, this rude person picked up the phone and said “no manager, we fix it next time okay” and hung up! I would definitely not be ordering from here again and would not recommend this place to anyone!
Friend took the crew out for some indian food… this place is nice inside. I had the butter chicken with garlic naan, it was delicious. The sauce was creamy and buttery, very flavorful. I don’t eat indian food much but i would come back here again.
In a nutshell, just authenticate Indian food!!!Especially in comparison to other Punjabi food junction in DMV area. Here are the reasons...Any paneer curry does not look red when it is authenticBaigan-Bhartha - It has a real smoky flavor and authentic taste unlike others who simply put potatos to increase quantity!!Naan - freshly made (you could tell the difference literally)Paneer - It does not feel like eating a rubber (#%@#%@#^#^)Size of Lassi glass - I just dont want to say anything there!!Size of Kofta - Authentic kofta in this restaurant unlike potato stuffed tiny kofta found in most of Indian eateries in DMV area,Finally, I really hope this eatery keep it up!!
For a pick up order I asked Malai kofta to be made mild so kids can eat. I reminded 3 times when I ordered the food to make it mild. Came home and it is so spicy. Kids can’t eat this. Had to scramble to get some other food for kids. Called them to let them know. All I got was “sorry”. Don’t think I will be ordering take out again.
Dal shorba soup is one of the best Indian soups u can ever have. Consistent with thier taste and have great veggie options as well.
Very welcoming staff . But for food specifically biryani. All of us had bouts of throwing up since having it. Not cool. Naan was one of best i ever had , crispy and flaky. Get sorted on staleness to pls, our trip had to be cut short.
The food here is amazing! This is the first time I have ordered at this restaurant, and I will be ordering again very soon. The place is very clean, and I placed a takeout order. When I got there my order was ready. The cashier even doubled checked to make sure all my items were in the bag before I left. The food is so fresh & tasty with generous portions at a reasonable price. I was so happy that I left a tip even though it was a takeout order. I highly recommend this place.
Punjabi Junction was an excellent source of authentic Indian cuisine! From the Byranis to the Tandoori, appetizers and desserts alike are simply delicious. The staff and servers work well as a team to ensure the customer has a great experience. Punjabi Junction has the best filtered tap water!! This is reflected in everything they offer and it makes this restaurant the first choice go-to for any occasion. Overall the restaurant is very clean and tidy. Punjabi Junction also offers accommodations for large parties. I definitely recommend Punjabi Junction, there is simply no place better.
First time here and the food was absolutely DELICIOUS and the service was great! Will definitely be back when in the area.
Came down from Philly to see the grandson in on in Leesburg. Came here to due to proximity from our hotel. WOW!! Best indian ever!!! And I mean ever!! Compared to what we have exposure to back home. Hands down. The best!!!
This is our favorite restaurant in the Nova region - hands down the best malai kofta, best paneer tikka masala and tandoori Roti I’ve had in a really long time. Feels homely and the service is amazing. Huge respect for the uncle and aunty that run this place.
Tried this place recently and once before - vegetarian paneer dishes were excellent the first time, good to ok the second time - Chana bhatura was very good - bread basket could have been better quality - everyone in family enjoyed the food the first time - repeat order and service not as good - the elderly lady at the front desk is quite rude / curt - worth a try but looks like quality of food and service not consistent
Absolutely delicious and authentic food! Every dish we ordered had its own unique flavor and tasted fresh! We got chat papdi, samosa chaat, fish pakora, chicken 65, karhi chicken, lamb curry, chicken biryani, reshmi kabob, pakora kadhi, and the rest I dont remember. The lamb melts in your mouth. On top of it, excellent service, the two we interacted might have been the owners, just exceptional. Definitely coming back and recommend!
The restaurant can be pretty hit or miss with the taste. But 8/10 times the food tastes good. The times when it is not, the staff is very courteous to replace it for you. Chicken Korma, Fish Pakora and Chole Bhature are tested good for me. Their breads are also very good as they make it fresh in their own Tandoor. Their chaat has been very mediocre for my taste. But overall this Indian restaurant is a regular for me for the flavor and service.
Fantastic dinner tonight. We were looking for a place to eat nearby and Punjabi Junction is in a small strip mall next to our vet. I usually order butter chicken at new places as my litmus test, and PJ did not disappoint! Even the basmati rice was fragrant and delicious, but the garlic naan was TO DIE FOR. I had to order more for my leftovers!Hubby had a wonderful chickpea and spinach fish that he raved about, along with the aforementioned rice and some really fresh pappadum.Prices were very reasonable and the staff were friendly and provided great service. We’ll definitely go back.
The staff is professional and friendly. The restaurant is clean and the food is a decent "American" Indian food. I had more authentic Indian food overseas. They have the buffet banner, but they stop haveming buffet during the Covid area. Call and check before the trip.
After a like ng time I had one the best foods anywhere in Virginia compared to other restaurants. Owners and servers are genuinely friendly and its a nice clean beautiful place. I loved the chicken tangri dish while the other two dishes were great too. I would recommend this place to all those who want to eat great food and not so expansive.Thank you !
Amazing and authentic north Indian food you will get here. I think sometime people might give polarize as many Indian resataurant change their receipe for local tastes but Punjabi junction are one of few where you can get real taste. We catered their food for my son birthday and everyone loved it and asing for referral already
This place is excellent. Super friendly staff, delicious food, quick service. They treated us like regulars and friends the first time we came in. They gave awesome food recommendations. We ate until it hurt and loved every minute of it and will in fact turn into regulars. Looks like I need to take up running too. Highly recommend.
After a long time ..got to find both authentic Punjabi taste and fusion variety Punjabi Junction (PJhave. Complete value for money and time ❤️ if you are looking for actual punjabi choley bhaturey, PJ is the place 👍
Punjabi Junction has a wide variety of delicious Indian food. I havent had a chance to try everything yet because I constantly want to fall back and order the dishes Ive enjoyed before. I have eaten here many times and Ive never been disappointed. Most recently, I had their butter chicken, garlic naan and a mango lassi and everything was excellent. For those with a low tolerance for spice who still love flavorful delicious Indian food, this is the place to go. They have spice levels- Punjabi has a scale from mild to Indian spice and their mild food is really well seasoned. I get things mild, so I cant offer recommendations on the spicy version. Some of my favorites include their butter chicken, paneeer, goat curry, and spinach dishes. I like their variety of desserts as well.Their restaurant is very tastefully decorated and classy- the staff is very polite or very friendly and it always feels like a treat to visit.
I ordered dinner from this place a couple of weeks ago. I ordered chole bhature (3 plates), one malai kofta and one dal makhani. Its a bit of a drive to get food from this place from my house. So when I got home, relaxed and finally opened the bag - dal makhani was missing from my order. I called right away but the place was closed so I left a message. I didnt get a call back the next day or at least out of courtesy, I was expecting a call back. I called them in the evening - when I called, I explained the entire thing but the person who I talk to kept cutting me off by saying its okay its okay we will take care of it; so he offered a pick up right away - I told him its not possible for me to commute that far since I have a child at home so if he could refund me for dal makhani. He said, "mam, we will give you dal makhani for free next time but we cant refund you." I was stunned. I am never going back to this place neither recommending it to a friend or a family member.
The food here is amazing! We tried dal makhni w onion kulcha, kadhi chawal and kadhai paneer. Everything was mind blowing - and Asad’s service was the cherry on the cake! Everyone at this place is so hospitable and it made the experience all the more better. Great service overall and great job making fresh, authentic Indian food!
We had catered for a graduation party...Yogi went above and beyond to ensure food and staff were served at our party. If you are looking for a traditional north Indiam food with tons of vegetarian choices definitely try them. The restaurant itself has an out dated look but we have always done a carry out.
Long overdue review. Had ordered for a party and they lived up to the expectation. Malai kofta was super and they were kind enough to give a bit extra kofta since people scoop them up or they get mashed. The veg pakoda was a smash hit. A very unique pakoda recipe that I have not found anywhere. I always always get a plate of that now at take out or dine in.We also had malai kebabs and kebab platter at dine-ins and both were superb. I have not tried their buffet and would to do it some day.Jogi Hundal runs a fine place! Highly recommend.
It’s just so awesome to have Punjabi Junction in the neighborhood. Had kababs, samosas, Kati rolls and some of their cooked dishes. Everything was awesome. I had them cater for a birthday party. The food was delicious.
Decent place and food. I had requested for the curry to be Indian hot and it was ok, not that hot. The lachcha paratha was kind of half cooked but the garlic nan and curry tasted good. Staff is friendly, clean interior and Indian music in the background.
I wouldnt even give 1 star to this place. I ordered a Channa Masala and in return I got the Ragda Pattiess Ragda. Bland, soggy and tasteless Channa with no salt, no spices.Would never order from this place again.
Last week, I celebrated my birthday at Punjabi Junction with a few close friends and their families. Called the restaurant about 10 days before the event to ask if they would be able to accept our large party - Ripjeet was very helpful with confirming availability and working out other details (setting aside part of the restaurant for our use, etc). Closer to the date of the event, someone else at the restaurant was able to provide details regarding the food on the buffet menu, and they will very willing to work with us to switch out some of the dishes based on our needs. And, finally on the day of the event, my friend arrived early with a banner, some balloons and some decorations, and the staff was very helpful in putting them up. Aside from the ease with which we were able to celebrate with our friends, the food was just wonderful, and the choices were plenty. And, the staff/ owners just take this restaurant to the next level! All our guests had a great time...
Oh. Em. Geeeeeee. So fresh, so good. Its terrible that I work in this plaza as Punjabi is working against my diet plan. I have gotten all of the staff here addicted to their butter chicken. I have tried a bunch of different things off of all of the menus (appetizers, regular menu, dessertsand never been disappointed. My one caveat is if you dont like your food spicy, make sure to tell them. I love spicy food, but my kids, not so much. I forgot once (and only onceto mention that I needed whatever was for the kids much less spicy than normal. I wont forget that again! They are great about special orders and modifying if needed.
Great food, Great service. The staff here treats you like family. The owners come by visit you while you enjoy your dining experience. The quality of food was amazing. They way the food was served was wonderful. The space itself is designed very well. I honestly can say now that there is a local Indian restaurant that has great food with great service thank you.
The allure of Punjabi Dhaba food has been there for a while. And during the holiday week, when the food search landed us back on Punjabi, we sadly realized we have to cross state boundaries to be at any such restaurant with a decent rating ( ok, from folks who seem to understand this food and can contrast from the rather bland stuff dished out from any non discrete Indian buffet joint in a nearby strip mall). So we took the 60+ minute drive hoping for a Punjabi lunch. After crossing the second toll booth, we sighed - we have paid the price of a buffet as tolls, the food better be good. It was a good Indian buffet lunch and ofcourse for that price. Was it worth the drive and tolls - maybe not. Did we experience the expected Punjabi flavors - no.What is good? - Daal, Tandoori chicken, Tandoori Roti (instead of standard Naan), Chicken Biriyani. Kiddo loved Butter Chicken. Ambience, Service & staff were excellent. What needs to be better (for another 60 minute drive)? - Better spread, more appetizers, lassi or juice. And atleast one signature item to tempt folks to return ( even if it costs a little more).
Amazing food amazing people. We keep going here again and again. Beautiful interior.
The best Indian food Ive ever had in United States so far, was here! The food was ammmmmazing, the atmosphere was great and I liked the workers. Id recommend it to everyone who is looking for an Indian restaurant in Virginia! Seriously...try this place!
Some of the best Indian food in Northern VA. My young son also gave it 5 stars. Super impressive with great service and wonderful food
Punjabi Junction is in my humble opinion a truly hidden gem. This place is cozy during the day and you can sit outside if you like as they have outdoor seating. The buffet is a rotating selection of the best in Indian cuisine ranging from curry goat, curry chicken, chicken tikka, tandoori chicken served with basmati rice and fresh naan (bread). They even have non-meat vegetarian options for those who dont want meat. At night this place has a romantic ambiance and would be a great place to take a date out for the night. The service here is also great. I highly recommend coming here for lunch or dinner. Dining in is just as good as the takeout and they even deliver. Guy Fieri (Diners, Drive-ins and Diveswhen will you finally listen to me and come visit this wonderful establishment? I ask anyone who cares to write to join my campaign to get this restaurant in the Food Network show. I think they are certainly worthy.
Very good buffet at a reasonable price ($10.99 for a weekday lunch). It may not have the largest selection of foods, but what they do have is good quality food. The waiters are respectful; taking care of plates and filling drinks. A hidden gem of an Indian restaurant.
There spicy levels are really spicy unlike other restaurants who on menu shows varied spice levels but serve the same bland hospital level spice.Do Try their samosa, they serve 2 piecesThey serve Rice or thick Naan with every entree so order right portions.I didnt like their style of serving, not enough cutlery & cups were provided based on the type of food ordered, tissues are not placed on table & you need to ask.
Delicious food. I dont generally enjoy Indian food, but I love their lunch buffet. Im not a fan of spice, but the spice they add has good flavor and doesnt detract from the food. The price is very reasonable for a buffet and the service is good, they always check if you want more drinks. You should ask if you want more naan though.
I went their for dinner with my family. The restaurant was a bit too far for us, but it was definitely worth it. The staff over there was so nice, pleasant and courteous. They kept making sure that we were enjoying our food and if we needed anything else. The restaurant itself was very clean. The food was delicious and fresh. The food was not very spicy and flavors were just right. It was very good Indian food we had in a while. Overall, great food, staff and prices. I would be going there back, and recommend others as well!
