New American gastropub fare & bowls of punch in a giant bar & amusement emporium with lots of games.
A little on the expensive side but a great place to hang out downtown after a concert. The food is standard bar food but presentation is great. We had Rosemary and Parm fries. I dont remember what kind of punch it was but it was delicious and service size was enough for the 4 of us.
Great happy hour menu price points but their cocktails taste weird (margarita and Tom collins specifically). The drinks also had very little alcohol content. Didn’t order food so this is just a drinks review. The service was good.
Had a wonderful experience here! The food was delicious, drinks were tasty, and they offered board/card games to play at the table. My friends and I were here at one table for hours and they didnt get pushy at all to free up a table. Our server Brittney was so great. Very sociable and had good recommendations. She made us feel very welcomed and we will request her next time we come! It is a little hard to find on the 4th floor on the regal mall entrance of the mall
Really great place. Good food, atmosphere, and drinks. You should go.
I dont know how to describe our time here other than to say it was weird. The whole time we where there it felt like we where an inconvenience to the staff. Even the manager assuming the man with the name tag and business casual is the manager, would glare at and ignore us as we desperately tried to get service. Even when I walked up to the service area the managers looked irritated I would DARE speak to them. After almost 20 min we where finally able to get some one to help us and take our order. The whole time we could hear the bar staff loudly talking about us and other customers which just seemed rude. They returned with our unsalted soggy fries and our flavorless food that was of course very expensive. After an ordeal to just get served we did finally try some of the arcade games for 1/2 of them to just take our money and not work. Even when trying to use the billiards table its so unbalanced and leans heavily to one side. It seems like a fun place but most of the employees managers included seem angry that you would dare bother them.I want to say that at least 2 of the staff where amazing and I wish I had gotten their names. One worked the rental box area and I think the other worked back of house/rental box. To them I say thanks for making what could have been a bad night into just a weird one.Seems like this place has potential to be fun but the managers are terrible examples to their staff.EDIT: I reached out to the email provided and they never got back to me. It was an empty offer to make things right or understood. I will edit again if they ever respond
The food was great but the service was trash. It took over 8 minutes for us to be acknowledged, didn’t even get “Hi, welcome in I’ll be with you in a moment” I ended up having to call someone over or we would have waited even longer to be served.
We were visiting OR for the first time and someone recommended trying this place. We ended up having a blast. There was tons of stuff to do and the environment was super lively. The staff, including our server Gary was amazing. He was on top of everything and made great recommendations on food/drinks. We will most definitely be returning with friends/family on future trips!
We had the chips and qeuso and bison chili cheese fries. I have to say the frie were the star. So delicious.
Cool vibes, but not a good bowling place... also I had a virgin mojito that was just so extremely sour. Haha but theyre got lots of little activities to play with if youve got money.
Really tasty fries that have a twist. Happy hour prices were very fare for the portion of food and the atmosphere of fun and goes makes for smiles all around. Comfy couches and well spaced seating made me feel warm and invited but not stuck in a crowd. The service was okay with what seemed like 2 servers taking care of the whole place. It was a little slow handsoff but still good fun was had by all. Overall a good place to have tasty food with a relaxed to pressure experience!
They close at 11 some days but expect you to not exist about 2 before closing because most things closed including half the business and all the bowling. Equipment is broken, like the air hockey table. And no they dont do anything for birthdays. This is not a great place, not a cool vibe or service. If you show up here expecting something to do youll probably end up being bored.
We stepped in for some food on the 4th of July, and had a terrible experience. Within 2 minutes of sitting down, a waiter brought to the table a plate with a few pieces of bread, some cheese, and 3 slices of salami-esque sausage, you know, something that looks like the bread basket many restaurants give you for free. The waiter said nothing aside from here you go and walked away, and we ate the bread, cheese, and sausage. We waited over 20 minutes for service and never even received napkins and silverware, let alone the chance to order drinks or food. After we had waited those 20+ minutes, I approached the staff at the bar to ask if we should sit somewhere else so that we could get service. The waitress who was apparently working the tables in our corner overheard me and accused us of "taking someone elses food" without even looking at me before walking away. I politely asked her for service when i returned to the table, but she refused to even talk to me and just walked away again. Long story short, this is a restaurant that employs rude and disrespectful wait staff who will blame customers for their mistakes. Im sure they expect to be tipped anyway.
Bowling, giant Jenga, ping pong, & video games. Nice place to hang out and have social events. Good food and drinks. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
I think it must be under new management or even maybe a new owner everything there to do has definitely risen in cost like they have bowling alleys which used to be the cost of renting the shoes and now its $16 per person to bowl a game that and maybe the cook has changed was not impressed with the food in fact theres been a few dishes that were ordered that only a couple of bites were taken out of and then they passed so that tells me whatever they had ordered was not good The wait staff is amazing I got to give them that they have wonderful people there waiting on everybody and making sure everybodys happy and and doing a good job of it we had a very large crowd and the gentleman taking care of us was outstanding The rest of the staff that I came encounter with also very polite very helpful very kind so I got to give the place that that has not changed The people helping you is the same great people that have the perfect personalities to do the job
We come from Seattle to visit Portland and The Punch Bowl Social is our spot! Such a great place to have fun and drink as an adult! Bowling, video games, Scrabble, Janga, drink and eat!!
Gawd, I wanted to like this experience. Nice place, decent atmosphere, friendly staff... and the food was good. But... it took over 40 minutes to get our first round of drinks. This is a conservative estimate. It was undoubtedly more. The next red flag was when someone from our party ordered a rum based drink. They said they were out of rum. When we finally did get our drinks, some were inconsistent with what was orderedSuper bummer. Then the food came. It was mostly correct. Mostly. But two of us did not get our food. Then one finally did. I never did get my quesadillas, though. Then cashing out was even a disaster. All around it was a bad experience. Took forever to get drinks, some food orders were wrong and some never came, and then things were a mess checking out. I wanted to like it, though!
Food was pretty good but Service left much to be desired. Party of 8 waited an hour for drinks then only half of the food we ordered didnt show up. Games space looked fun but after everything else we decided to go elsewhere.
Nice atmosphere for casual bar/restaurant. There are multitude of games (arcade, bowling, darts, shuffleboard, skee-ball, etc), outside sitting area and spacious. The building is split into two areas. Just told about the bar. Other the the restaurant.. and its coo.
Great place to hangout with a group of friends and play games. They have bowling, ping pong, pool, karaoke rooms, arcade, shuffle board, and other stuff as well. Their drinks are pretty good too, the punch bowl was amazing to share with a group; very delicious and gets you buzzed pretty quick.
I love this place. So much that I spent my New Years here..... BUT.....I went tonight between 8-9pm for dinner and drinks and ordered the shrimp tacos. The service and what I did eat of my food in the restaurant was great. I just warmed up my leftovers and bit into my last taco and found this long strand of plastic in my taco. Im not one to leave reviews but I have called several times (before closing timejust to let someone know and can not get anyone to answer.
Definitely a cool place, if overpriced. Wasnt very busy on Friday night but good energy and plenty of seating. Plus free darts!
Was a very nice place chicken quesadilla was flavorful and innovative one drink was Im on a wisky diet and the other one was watermelon polo bowl drinks both were really good they have bowling arcades pinball ping-pong pool it is a great place awesome staff would go back
Absolutely loved the food, ambiance, and entertainment of this place. Its a bit weird that they charge for some of their activities and not others, but Im sure theyve got their reasons. An absolute must visit at least once if you live in the PNW
This location is a little on the expensive side and has limited items on the menu. Bartenders are extremely busy and it may take 10-15 mins for you to be able to get their attention if needed. (In my personal experienceThis is a very popular location so I suggest calling ahead and finding out what time would work best for you so youre not struggling with getting good service and a table. The drinks and food are pretty good, but Im not sure its worth the wait. Just in my experience. :)
Arrived here at 11:15pm on a Saturday night to do some bowling since they stayed opened the latest offering bowling and other games until 1am according to their website. All to find out they were already shut down and done offering bowling and other games for the night. Extremely disappointed since we had drove an hour away and at the door before we even walked in had mentioned bowling to the guy checking IDs and he directed us where to go, just for the girl at the inside counter to say theyre closed for all of it🤦🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️
Great fun. Nice selection of beer! Very quiet for a Saturday afternoon though… had some fun playing darts!
Our server was great and the food was good enough. Portions were very generous and the flavor was what you would expect. Probably 3 stars for the food and 5 for the service. -5 stars for the condition of Portland right now, city council and state government need to get their act together.
Went here for a work dinner. Dinner and drinks were delicious and then we played a game of bowling. I had the Cubano sandwich which was much too big for me (but it was still yummy as leftovers haha). Super chill place.
Small menu but well-prepared good food. Punchbowl drinks were delicious. We had a lot of fun with all the oversized board games, deck shuffleboard and pinball machines but the bowling lanes kept going down.Be sure to make a reservation if you want to eat in the dining room side which is quite enough to actually hear the people you are eating with. The first come first serve side of the building can become rather raucous. Okay for kids over 12 I would say. Not for children. We had fun.
Had the best experience. Never been here before, but our waitress (Carterwent above and beyond and I felt right at home. She was on top of communication, service, amd friendliness. Will absolutely be coming back. Thanks Carter and team!
Went to Punchbowl social Saturday night. It was a cold and dark night. The air reeked of weed. Getting to punchbowl social was climb Ive never experience before. Bring Mountain Gear!!!!! Its like climbing Mt Everest. When we arrived the card machine was broken to play games and most things there. There were many drunk adults and children lying on the ground. Their were 3 bars. We played battleship and one of the ships was missing. AC/DC pinball machine robbed us! Grown adults hogging all the games! Deer shooting game was rigged. Little kids at every corner without their corners. Connect 4 blue circles blended in with the atmosphere. The ground was dirty, dust everywhere! Food looked gross! Service nice but annoying babies. The place was like a maze their were 2 entrances. Anyway what restaurant has the best chicken nuggets??
Really enjoyed the burger and cocktails! I loved the decor and games really helped the mood of this place. I want that chair for my house!
Why did we not know of this place sooner?! We had a great time with our kids with out feeling like we were in a kids zone or at an adults only establishment. Very friendly and helpful employees, we were still not done eating by 11pm (kids allowed until 11pm)and instead of kicking us out in a rude manner they came to let us know 10 mins ahead and then a few mins past 11 they came and kindly asked if we were planning to stay longer or if we wanted boxes or if we needed anything else. We will definitely be coming back and bring more friends.
Sweet Bar with some many games to play! Plus they have an excellent drink selection
Came here for the food, did not use any of their games. I would say that they have a good selection and you won’t be disappointed with the taste and flavor.
Bowling, darts, large jenga, ping pong, kareoke, pool and arcade games. Quality food: nachos, tacos, burgers etc. Patio and indoor seating. Cocktails. I love the ambiance, its a very nice place and a blast for the little ones
They accommodated my baby shower last minute after my original plan didnt fall through last minute. The hostess and events specialist was amazing and hooked it up. My family and I really enjoyed the Punch Bowl it was an amazing venue!
The food I tried ranged from very good to ok. The burger could have been a bit more flavorful. Standouts were the mocktails, the fries, and the highly attentive service! But really come here for all the fun you can have downtown.
A really fun spot to hang with a big group of friends. Really great cocktails and decent food. Similar to a Dave and busters but less crowded and with a more wholesome / less corporate feel. Extra points for spacing around the pool table and a sweet mini shuffle board
Punchbowl is a fun place to hang out with friends or family. They have every game imaginable, from pool, to video games to bowling, and darts. They also have our favorite activity, karaoke. The food is pretty good and the cocktails are satisfying. Our bartender was very creative with her mixology and made great suggestions. Cant wait to go back!
Top notch cocktails!Friendly bartenders.Nice atmosphere.2 fun bowling alleys (an 8 lane and a 4 lane).Some arcade games.Giant Jenga.Dart boards.Karaoke rooms.Exceptional food for catered special event/space rental.
This was a disappointing place, we arrived between 530-6pm on Friday October 4th and requested a table for a party of 6. The place was not busy, plenty of booths and tables empty, The hostess was not very friendly it seemed like we were bothering her asking for a table, her reply was it was gonna be like 30-45 min wait that there were reserved tables. That we could go to the Punchbowl Social area. We walked over to check it out and it was a bar that looked like a garage, empty with a few small tall round tables for like 2-4 people not a party of 6. No one greeted us as we entered so we walked back to restaurant side and said we would wait, again she seemed like it was an inconvenience, so we waited it was about 20 mins then she came out and said she could seat us, again when we were there to begin it was empty and go figure we were seated at a table right next to another large party when there were plenty of tables around. We ordered drinks, we ordered a punch bowl and instead received two drinks that were incorrect, so waited for correction of that. We ordered food and it was also incorrect, wrong order of wings and while everyone received food, one persons food was not brought out and it was over 15 mins to receive while everyone else had theirs. The food was not good, it was cold and no flavor. Kept being told food was coming. The Punch Bowl drink finally arrived and literally it was a small bowl mostly ice supposed to serve 4 people but it was more like 2 with all ice. Definitely not a place I would return to or recommend.
Had a great time at a birthday party here. The atmosphere was fun and lively. They take up the entire floor at the mall, with a restaurant, multiple tv,s, bars, ping pong, shuffle board, bowling, pool, darts, and a bunch of retro arcade games. I was also very pleased with the food and the overall service. So take out some time to go with your family or friends and have an amazing time
Love this place so incredibly much! Honestly, could not recommend a better place to get together with a friend, friends, or have a party. The staff here is AMAZING. I came here with my friends in May for my birthday, so I unfortunately don’t remember the main staff member’s name who helped us, but he was seriously incredible. He was attentive, energetic, and always on top of his game! Not a single drink or food item messed up.The food here? Amazing. The drinks? Even better. They’ve truly created an amazing atmosphere to relax, hang out, and play games at. Because let’s be real. We hung out on the balcony, we played giant Jenga, we played Air Hockey, there was bowling, we played arcade games, I could go on and on. If you’re looking for a chill, easy, and fun place to just hang out with a friend or few, then look no further, because this is it.
Went on Friday night to celebrate my birthday. We all had such a great time! It was my first time going here too. The vibe was great! Food was good too. Some a bit too spicy. I had the chicken tacos which were so good! Our server, Ryan, was fantastic!!! It was like he was part of the party. Ill definitely be going back!
Very happening and upbeat restaurant and bar social gathering. Greta food, wine, beer and cocktail choices. Helpful and young staff. Restaurant is located located inside the Pioneer Place Mall so its convenient to have bite and drink after your shopping.
The chicken quesadilla is fairlyspicy and the extra sauces make it even hotter, order it. Came here for the first time with a friend and we will both be back. The service was quick and attentive, and they had plenty of classic to more unusual drinks to choose from. I cant wait to bring more people to try out bowling, bring a group theres plenty of room!
Greeted at the door by friendly/knowledgeable staff who gave us the overview of the location, and made us feel comfortable to walk around and sit in any location we wanted to. They have bowling, arcades and pinball. We actually found a comfy place to sit, drink, and watch TV.
Really good, organic food for a pretty reasonable price! Honestly when I first saw it I thought of it as a place mostly to go with your friends and get drunk, and while you most certainly could do that and probably have a good time, I still had a good time going with one other person! The food was very tasty. They definitely pushed the idea that it was all organic and stuff, but what stood out to me was that their chicken was antibiotic free! Not something you hear a lot about from restaurants, but very important still. I ended up getting the chicken quesadilla, and it was a very good plate! We also got some fries, which were very normal fries, but they came with a really good sauce. It was an interesting taste I havent had on fries before, but I would get it again! Finally, I had a malt milkshake. It was good, but nothing too crazy.Im definitely planning on going again with more people. They also have board games to play at your table, which would make it a pretty unique group dinner/game night! Very good stuff.
Great spot for a quick bite to eat before the movies. Awesome location right inside the mall. We went to grab some quick appetizers before heading to the movies. Service was surprisingly quick and the food was great. We had the garlic aioli fries and the pork tacos. Both were delicious. Fun and tasty spot.
