Puerto Vallarta Restaurant in Muncie

The food is always good. I have noticed that portions are smaller here then other similar restaurants.

I would not recommend this establishment for anyone to eat at until such time as the management appropriately and adequately addresses the lack of consideration and respect that the employees have for the customers that come there to eat their food! I ordered food today October 10th, At approximately 5:30 in the evening, And they decided to send a plate of food out with a clearly visible rotten spot in the tomato ON TOP of all my other food! This was evident to them when they put it on the plate, and if the would do something like this to your food that is so blatantly visible, imagine eat they do when you cant see!!! As a well established food reviewer, I recommend avoiding this establishment

Everything taste so bland & has no seasoning on it. And all the food runs together. The salsa is like water & has no flavor. The Margaritas are awesome!

Was a nice place good food booths was a little close but not bad to deal with

On a busy Saturday afternoon we had immediate seating in the bar with full menu. Busy staff friendly and working hard.

Service was incredibly slow compared to other Puerta Vallarta locations. Most of our food was burnt as well, though the ones that werent burnt tasted great. Hopefully this is a one-off occurrence because the other Puertas have much better service than what we experienced here today.

Good food served hot, and the greatest service. Tortilla chips were fresh, crisp and tasty. Our server, Ayrial, refilled drinks and brought more chips before we asked for more. Both meals were good and Ayrial has the best timing. She checked with us at all the right times.

The food was really good, The waiter was asked twice to bring glasses of water, with the Margaritas, but other than that, everything else was good. Got more salsa when asked and our other drinks were refilled quickly.

We really like this restaurant. We order carry out often. Unfortunately on our last order we ordered two large queso cheese dips and they didnt include either of them. When we tried to call them to correct the situation it went straight to voice mail. Large queso is quite costly so this is a big deal to us.Improvement requests:1Check over the order upon pickup to make sure everything is there.2Answer the phone and be able to refund items that were left out of the order.

Food was good as usual. Waiter was nice but not too personable. Felt like “get in get out”. Place was clean. Steady for a Monday night.Usually go to the other locations but this one was closer on limited time we had.

I love Puerta! The one on Tillotson is the main one I go to. I have been to the one on Wheeling as well. The staff at both places have always been super friendly and very attentive. The food is always delicious. The hot food is always hot! I love the chicken chimichanga a la carte. Perfection. I always get the fried rice and refried beans. Everything looks delicious though

I actually LOVE Puerta and always come when I’m in town. Tonight was not a great experience though. Service was a little slow (but probably short staffed like everyone elseand my food had an odd taste to it. Normally great though…

WORST experience ever at a restraunt. Food was so terrible we couldnt even finish it and it made us sick. Service was less than acceptable. Salsa tasted like straight tomato paste out of a can. Would NOT recommend for any reason. However, the girl at the register was sweet, probably the only positive experience.

1.5 hr wait to seat 22 people who tried to call ahead was uncalled for. Disorganized service, wouldnt split the ticket, charged for extra items that werent with our party because the kitchen was just making food. Last time for a long time.

Went here last night. This used to be my favorite Mexican restaurant and we drove down from indy to eat here. Now I can never eat here again because the Pollo monterrey gave me a bad case of food poisoning. Ruined my weekend and lost a day of work. No bueno.

Excellent food, atmosphere and service, like the other Puerta Vallartas in Muncie.

I ordered the Burrito, enchilada and tamales dinner. They brought me a plate with 3 different sizes of ground beef wrapped in a flour tortilla, covered in red sauce.All 3 were exactly the same with the ONLY exception being their size.Im so disappointed.Ill never go back!

We set outside with a umbrella to provide us some shade. The area was clean and we were waited on quickly. They are limited in the versions of salsa. The cheese dip wasnt fully melted but still good. The Margaritas were good our meal portions were plentiful and our server attentive. We shall return!

I call in an order for a pickup when I went there to pick it up they dont have gotten part of my order right and left part of it off so then reorder the part that they left off and I still gave me the wrong thing but it was freaking the bomb it was so good so that kind of mess if I let it slide lol

Our waitress was awesome! However basically everything else wasnt great. Our food was dry, crunchy rice, food was cold. Definitely the worst of the muncie locations imo.

Excellent Mexican restaurant! If you need a good place to eat in Muncie, this is the place !Every time we go, there is a wait, but it doesnt take long to get seated as there are lots of tables. The service is outstanding; staff is friendly and attentive. Everyone at the table gets their own salsa bowl which I greatly appreciate. You cant go wrong with anything on the menu. If youre thirsty, there are some huge margaritas to quench your thirst.

Prices here have gotten astronomical, my family and I love Mexican food, for 4 of us we come here and it’s $70, we go to another place in Fishers or Carmel or Geist and it’s $45. They are absolutely taking advantage of the public not having many other options. Won’t be ordering here again.

Food was okay. BUT, apparently at this location, if you only order a beef burrito it doesn’t come with beans, rice, lettuce, tomato, or sour cream. Just a burrito and nothing else for $9. I eat at the Indianapolis locations all of the time (just last nightand the “additions” are assumed which leave me and my family satisfied and keep us come back.At this location, It was listed on the online menu as all encompassing so I’m puzzled. I’ve been a server for years, so I would have liked being made aware of the confusion before making my purchase. Just saying.

Great value for a very reasonable price. You get plenty of very tasty good food on your plate. The staff is pleasant, quick to wait on you and frequently stops by your table to tend to any needs you might have. They have a very nice selection of lunch specials. If youre into Mexican cuisine, you cant go wrong at this restaurant.

Very nice resturant. Very clean. Was pretty busy even at 3 pm on saturday. Salsa is good a little bite but not bad. I had california burrito. It was very big and had great flavor. Very filling. Son had combo #3. The taco was big compared to others tacos. Our whole meal was only 25. Great deal

Everything was excellent. We have had steak and shrimp before but this time steak seemed really thin and over cooked due to thinness of steak. But we still enjoyed!

We went there on a Thursday night.. The waiter that waited on us was amazing. He was so funny and kind he had my aunt, myself, and my daughter all cracking up plus were are always a table of jokesters between ourselves anyway. Its nice to find kind service people we noticed that when we were down in Muncie Indiana that the wait staff.. we will be going back there the next time I am down to visit my daughter at school..Im sorry our table was so loud we are always laughing making jokes..

This place was super packed but and we had a very large group but our waiter was fantastic. He was calm, efficient and friendly. Food portions were large. Tasty fresh ingredients. I see why it was packed to the hilt!

First time visitors, in town for a college tour. Very busy on a Thursday night! Our hostess was very friendly and we were seated immediately. We ordered the camerones a la diabla, potato enchiladas and cheese dip. Our food arrived quickly and it was delicious. Our server was sweet and very attentive. Will definitely be back next time were in town.

I loved this place. Ive been there twice in the last week! Ive had these amazing steak tacos with cheese dip! Second time I had volcano its alot of food definitely a sharable dish! I found my Mexican restaurant in " MUNCIE"

I got everything that we ordered for a pick up order, which is a plus. The food was hot too. A lot of the times their food isnt always very hot. The food was pretty good also. I ordered the number 26 combo meal, which comes with 2 burritos either chicken or beef, refried beans topped with cheese, and Mexican rice also topped with cheese. In my opinion, everything goes well together. I hope this is helpful.

I came here yesterday, and, for one, they were very rude. There were two guys sitting at the take out booth, and they were just ignored my friend and I. Two, they charged me for everything, but they forgot 2 items and one of the meals was completely wrong. Maybe their customer service and accuracy went out of the window, when they changed staff. If I could give 0 stars, I would. It was not a good experience at all.

They serve very good food. My daughter and I went last week. Portion sizes were really good for the prices. My daughter had ordered burrito and taco combo. We also ordered queso for our chips as seen in the photo.

Havent been here in a while and glad we came back. Very attentive and friendly service and the best tasting dinner weve had here. Flavors were great and decent quantity for the price. Margaritas were OK. Top shelf definitely better than house, but not by as much as youd think. Mariachi band isnt back yet, but felt comfortable and safe and expect theyll bring them back soon.

Good food. The restaurant looked organized and clean. The staff working was helpful and nice. The quality and taste of the food was good. I get to try Mexican drinks which was super cool. I think I will definitely visit this place again.

Stopped today and we enjoyed the food, cooked well and the presentation was ok. The quantity was better than other local restaurants. And after the bad experience we had at another business I decided to have a margarita. That was an amazing margarita! 😋We’re also pleased they’re still maintaining COVID procedures!!

Always yummy. Very friendly and fast service. Excellent environment. Covid 19 procedures on point. Even the statue at the bar is considerate of the patrons. 😆

Justin, Arthur, and Christian are our go-to people! We started out years ago following a worker who left and then Arthur took over and always made sure our experience was good! But tonight, we got to sit at their new bar (it’s beautifuland Christian and Justin were just wonderful!!! They checked on us so many times and our food came quickly!!! Some of the best service we have ever had!!!

Excellent food, good service, fast turn around times. I usually get carry out and regardless of my order it usually only takes about 10-15 minutes. They are usually quite generous with the chips and salsa and the food always seems fresh.

We were seated in less than half an hour on a very busy Friday night. Finding parking was easy, too. Staff were busy and hustling, but attendant to our requests and needs. I had trouble deciding what I wanted - no fault of the menu - I was just tired after a long day of work. The waiter gave me the extra time I needed without forgetting me. I ordered a chimichanga. It tasted so good. Hot. Deliciosa! Sweet tea was a great accompaniment. My date had a Marguerite with his variety platter. After a relaxing meal, we shared churros. Sorry-I didnt even think to capture a picture when they arrived. These warm carmel-filled delectables nestled between puffs of whipped creme drizzled with chocolate were irresistibly pretty. We just ate them! A perfect light sweet touch to the end of our cozy and intimate meal together.
