We are from Texas so maybe expectations too high. Food was just ok. Nothing had much spice except the salsa. Chips were the best thing in the meal. Crisp, thick and warm. Fajitas had very little chicken with no spice. Hubby had beef enchiladas and said they were tasteless. Service was on target and friendly!!

If youre looking for authentic Mexican food and atmosphere, look no further. Only thing missing would be the Mariachis. Amazing food made with fresh ingredients make you feel as though you were vacationing in the heart of Mexico. Highly recommend for the whole family, especially if you want to introduce your kids and family to the cuisine without breaking the wallet!!

Good food. Busy place, so assume the local folk like it. Would prefer salsa thats thicker and spicier. Fair pricing.

I can’t say enough good things about this hidden gem! The ambience isamazing. The food is authentic in my opinion with good portions and one of the best places to get Mexican food that feels like home. The staff is so kind and welcomes you with open arms and they all are very attentive. Affordable and many options to chose from.

Service is always good and the food is amazing

Quaint place, delicious food, personable service. Music is Latin and kept at a background level. Serves my favorite dish, arroz con pollo. Service animal friendly.

Food is amazing but I was very disappointed. I ordered a large order for my daughters party and called the order in the day before. I gave a time for pickup and even called before getting there. The food wasnt ready and I waited for almost 30 minutes for the restaurant to "figure out a price". I felt that they were not prepared and it caused me to be late to my own party. Quality of food is amazing but due to their lack of preparedness and inability to price (which I felt was extremely high, I rated it the way I did.

This is our go to Mexican restaurant. Family owned. Fresh, tasty food...friendly, efficient service. Reasonably priced. No hype...just the plain real deal.

Wonderful place with the BEST Mexican food in town! The food is absolutely delicious (try the chicken fajitas!as well as their margaritas. Every time we’re in town we won’t hesitate to stop by this gem. Excellent service too.

Only thing decent was the salsa... was thoroughly confused about the color of the chorizo and lack of flavor..the service here was also very lacking. Being from Texas and having many Hispanic and Latino friends, I had really hoped better. Then again, what should I have expected from a Mexican restaurant in South Dakota...heres to hoping we will find a better one.

The service was detached and unenthused. Being from Texas and experiencing mexican food, the food was lacking in any depth of flavor though it was at least cooked thoroughly. Definitely not returning anytime soon. Who has red authentic chorizo?!

I cant believe weve never been here in the past. What an AWESOME meal... everyone was happy. This was our first trip.... but not the last!

Food was amazing and extremely quick. Drinks were perfectly done. But whatever you do, DO NOT TOUCH THE PLATES! They are insanely hot! I accidentally grazed the side of my plate about 2 minutes after it had been placed on the table and now, a week later, I still have a large burn on my forearm. (Picture is of what it looks like now, I didnt take one of the initial burn)

For the price this is an underrated Mexican restaurant in Sioux Falls. Highly recommend checking it out at least once! Staff are so friendly and great at what they do. Keep up the amazing work Puerto Vallarta.

Ate dinner here with my kids, mom and brother..food was super SALTY. Plate was extremely hot HOWEVER enchiladas on plate..insides cheese wasnt even melted. Up on and off with indigestion throughout the night. Kids couldnt finish food because it was disgusting. Mom never complains about food and she stated she could have done a lot better. Waitress dropped off food, refilled water and check .. didnt ask about food..must have known it was bad. I will not be back. Also waitress was in booth behind us counting her tips... would have gotten bigger tip if she actually stopped at our table more often

We came here on a recommendation from good friends. Wow this place served the things I love most !Hot food quickly and great taste with great service !!! Go there you wont be disappointed.

Enjoyed eating lunch there today. There was a slight wait for a table as it was the height of the lunch hour. Happy to see so many out enjoying lunch. Large portions and large drinks. Good food.

Delicious food, decent prices, and super-friendly server. I love the atmosphere, even with pandemic safety measures in place. Great if youre in the neighborhood, or worth a trip across town, too.

The food here is the best that Ive had in a long time

My wife really wanted to going to this Mexican restaurant as it’s on the side of town we normally go to the grocery store unfortunately the chips were hard and stale and very greasy you can see in the photos also the beans were incredibly runny refried beans should not be that runny. My wife ordered a plate with steak sliced steak and it was incredibly tough and overcooked. This is the first and last time we will ever come to this restaurant the glass they brought me for my beer had lipstick on it as well.

These guys are super awesome! I love their food and their service. I have had good experiences here every time. I would recommend these guys to anyone who lives in Sioux Falls and is looking for a new place to go and to anyone new to Sioux Falls.

Food was delicious, service was great, nice atmosphere. Had perfect social distancing far as I was concerned, I felt very safe dining out there overall. Nice crowd, but really wasnt too concerned about it! Very reasonably priced. Ultimate fajita burrito my boyfriend ordered was actually too large for him, and thats saying something!! Well be back he told our nice server Maria.

Unassuming from the outside, but the food is delicious! Great flavors, nice staff, reasonable prices. I had a vegetarian dish that was excellent.

Amazing staff, feels like you just got dropped off in Mexico and entered a real local restaurant, service is great, very quick, extra large portions, very authentic tasting foods, an absolute must go to.

Service was great. Restaurant was mostly clean and kept up. I had the vegetarian burrito which tasted mostly salty. I wouldnt get it again. The salsa had a nice onion taste but then fell short. I would certainly come back and try some other dishes.
