Good place, very lively bar scene and area for bars / night life

Experience great, trying a burger, sure it will be fine. Very busy with lots of happy people. A great place. I am a bit confused as the boss says its a backpacker hostel. Ok but £164 a night, guess I am out of touch. No criticism (in any bad waybut did not realize it was that costly for people to get a room for the night. All done, this is an excellent place, great fun and friendly. Take a bow!!!

Good beers, great burgers. I love the hash browns as a side to my burger here, theyre always top tier pints of potato.Edit: recently revisited for drinks after work after a few months and I still love this place. Definitely still a favourite for work lunch and drinks.Edit edit: still good. Get you some burgers.

Great pub nice atmosphere, friendly staff, we stayed the room was good value. Great location for what we wanted. Highly recommended definitely stay again.

Great little pub with good beer and food - only burgers but plenty of choice, really tasty and reasonably priced. Will return when next in the area!!

Great pub, good beer, great staff, a bit loud

We stayed in The Rose & Crown for four days and we really enjoyed it. The accommodation was clean and even though it was a 9-bed-room we really liked our room. Unfortunately some of the bathrooms weren’t that nice but it was still in an okay state. The food in the pub downstairs was delicious and the atmosphere there was great!The staff was amazing, especially Mark helped us out multiple times, so thanks again for that!To sum up we would definitely come back as the price-performance ratio is excellent, especially for that central area.

Came for lunch and it was great. I ordered the Hen Solo and it was delicious. Not too amused about the names of some of the burgers as it’s disrespectful to the respective religions but freedom of speech aye? The Burger was seasoned well but wish it was bigger! I had some regular fries with it and it was equally as tasty.

The Rose & Crown was my first experience of a Hostel before.Matter of fact, I first heard of Hostels from an Eli Roth horror film. 😆I loved the experience and it was much safer and more comfortable than I imagined.The Bathrooms were really clean, and with a Pub downstairs, youd love every bit of it.Try to stay here if you ever pass by the London Boroughs of Southwark.

THE WORST customer service I have ever experienced. Come in almost every week as the office is near by and theres two guys on the bar who are very rude. Very expensive. Only thing good is the burger when you finally get them. Someone needs to speak to the staff cause its awful

Well, this was a disaster.We schedule the stay for one night (3rd of october, but needed to change it (4th of octoberso we called to check availability and if it was possible to chance the date of the stay. Whoever answered the phone seemed understanding and said shell "keep the booking for us". Great!When we got there the next day (4rd oct. 10am), to do the check in, they let us know that there wasnt any change on the dates of our booking and they were fully booked for that night. The guy that greated us tried to find a solution, contacted the manager and was very understanding, but when his colleague arrived (the person we talked on the phone with), she implied that we never tried to change the dates, rather we called to let them know that we would be arriving at 10am, on the 4th of october... after the night of our booking.Im still trying to understand why she would think we would be arriving after our stay, and how she misunderstood an entire conversation. Either way, we lost our money and had no place to stay.0/10 - will not try again.

You cannot access the wifi from the rooms. There’s mold on the bathroom ceiling. The place in general is kind of dingy and gross. I felt unsafe standing directly outside making a phone call at 11pm. There’s only like 3 toilets for a place that sleeps upwards of twenty people.

Booked on a Friday for the same night stay. Then noticed I booked the wrong place, so cancelled within less than an hour! Informed Booking and the hostel. They said, ok with cancellation. And have not been refunded still (a week), they are not responding, ignoring my messages. Very dissapointed.

Stayed in the private room for one night. The staff was very friendly and helpful, room was clean and cozy. The bar has a superb variety of cocktails, beers and foods.

Beer 24h, first thing to say about it! Great location, helpful staffs and overall the stay was good. Could be cleaned more frequently, and have extra ventilation (fan or air conditioner. Price is fair for the place.

Reasonable prices, especially food. Had the chicken wings and theyre absolutely outstanding for the cost.Reasonable priced beer for the area and good beer variety. Well poured pints - thoroughly recommend!

Reception is 24hrs. The hostel pub is open 24hrs for guests. The location is good. The staff is friendly. The price is good. The bad news is the rooms are small and not much light, the room was very warm just with one fan. It could be more toilets and be clean more often as it wasnt very clean at all (bad engineering). The towels cost 5 pounds.

Great burgers except the meal of the day. Dont order that, or if you do dont look inside!

Amazing Service and it was quitevery good Beds with USB Ports fir charing and elekteic spits for other devices. Very friendly guy in the Bar nice area and good price. I will be back

I stayed at this place 2.5 years ago in February 2020 and still think about this place. Location is excellent, pub - <3, garden is perfect for a morning hangover coffee. I think there was a discount on food, all I remember is that I had the best English breakfast in my life. Staff is chill and helpful. Sleep was sweet! It was my first time in London and I decided to stay in different areas and types of accommodation. Rose&Crown was a last minute decision, but it takes a special place in my heart. Will visit this place again during my next visit!Gonna bring some more chocolate next time for the staff and the visitors:)👌🏼🫶🏼

Great place to stay, nice location and short walk to the train station and London Bridge. Would come back again!

Ive booked a couple of tables for work drinks on a few occasions and its always been a great place. Good selection of beer and food. They also have card games.

Decent but Not worth the money.Great position for visiting the city center and move with the trains from London bridge. Staff people are nice and helpful. Everything its quite clean and the showers are big.BUT:In a room for 9 people, there is barely the space to stand, only 6 hooks for hanging clothes, no shelfs, no mirror, not ever a trash bin! And obviously no air-conditioning and a tiny window. Paid 35£ for sleeping in a sauna in almost 40 degree its ridiculous, I almost left at 11pm until they found me another bed which was slightly better.

The hostel is fine, you get the allusion of privacy by how the beds are positioned.However the staff doesnt even say hello when you come in and the cleaning is ABYSMAL.Im saying puke stains for days and sanitary pads everywhere as the bins are full.

Good burgers and solid beer list. Staff were top tier. Will go back.

I love the bathroom, clean and great shower,however the room is not that clean , dusty and yellow spot pillow case cover,door is old,need to push hard to close well,so itd be a bang to close it , staffs are kind and nice, while I stay, a guy stay there being selfish, closed all windows and fan , made the room like an oven because he doesnt like noise ,and aggressively turn it off again when we found its hot at 02:30am .for what he did and said to me, i didnt feel safe at all, The staff did help talk to him, anyway a nightmare night for me,the other day I knew the same person did this again several times al,he stayed quite long there , IT would have been great if they had warned this guy not being selfish when staying in a small room with many people when he did it couple times before, just buy earplugs, then yesterday night drama might not have happened .but still , thank you for the staff being kind .

This was an affordable, decent option for abackpackers stay in London. Showers had hot water, beds were comfy and clean. Location was excellent, right near London Bridge and other main attractions.On a different note, the place got a bit grimy with overflowing trash cans, and the room could use better ventilation. Also, the bed space is small for a larger person. However, it seemed to be cleaned daily in the mornings. I’d recommend the place for someone traveling to London on a tight budget. Otherwise, I’m sure there are much better options out there.

Ive been coming here every few months for several years. Good range of beers and a nice "secret" garden at the back.

Very good summer cocktails and great seating in the outdoor seating area in the back, ideal for larger groups.

Just a good, honest pub - reminiscent of good nights out with a group of talkative & stimulating friends.

I stayed there 2 nights. Highly recommended. Friendly staff and great service

1pm-3pm cheap beers and delicious burgers. Couldn’t ask for anything more.I would have given 5 stars for the pub but the only reason I have rated is 4 is mainly because there was a bald man doing card tricks in the corner of the pub.He pulled me to once side and asked me to think of a card. Out of nowhere, he guessed my card.To this day I still don’t understand how this magician of the public knows what my card is. Bet he lives alone. Good beers on tap

It was a really a good hostel to stay in. The staff was very accommodating. Bathrooms could have been a bit cleaner, but overall it was very nice

Great boozer since its refresh a couple of years ago. Nicely kept booze, great staff - very friendly and knowledgeable. Not eaten here but food looks tops, kitchen super clean (you can see if from the bar). Dog friendly too

Popular pub with lots of craft beer options on Tap. Including Tiny Rebel, Track & Deya when we visited (Mar22). Great pub & good to see a full buzzing pub again. Visited again yesterday (May 22& various new beers on. A great pub!

We stayed five days at Rose&Crown. Hostel was really cozy, clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the location, it was easy to go everywhere. Staff was friendly and we felt ourselves secure the whole time there! Thanks :)

nice local pub to the office, always try to grab some people out for a drink on a thursday. They have a good selection of beers with attractive specials always on offer. Last week they had 2 for 1 G&Ts which was greatly appreciated!

A very smooth check in. Online as well as in person. Great location. Comfortable beds with large curtains. Budget friendly on weekdays. Recommended.

Great pub, great hostel.Regarding the pub, they have a good selection of burgers and a great lunchtime set deal. They have a wide variety of London based craft beers, and the venue is comfy.The hostel has been recently renovated, and for the price, its fantastic. Remember to bring your own towel, toothbrush, and padlock.The staff are super friendly and helpful. Makes a big difference to staying there.A solid improvement would be to include towels for guests, skipping these seems a bit of a Ryanair approach to making up for the cheap accommodation price. Bump it up a pound or two and include towels!

Very happy with my stay here. Didnt eat/drink in pub bit so cant comment there. Hostel had good WiFi, reasonable security, hot water & comfy bed. Private room had plenty of space and cool vibe. Definitely werent as many rooms as I expected, not a big place overall which I liked. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Despite being above a pub it was very quiet in the private room, only noise ever was people coming up to the top floor, or the sound of air hand dryers in bathrooms downstairs. Impressed.

The rating I have given is for the hostel/dorm.Some basic amenities like kettle, microwave oven were not there. Beds were cozy and well kept. Wash rooms are average as well. If you are looking for just a hostel, there are better places aroundThe bar and restaurant are average.

Great pub with awesome staff - food is always amazing and the drinks selection is soo good!Beer garden has gazebos and heaters so smokers can stay warm and dry and its got lots of tables and seating.

Haven’t checked out yet but these guys are awesome. Pub open 24 hours for guests. They’re there for you whatever you need. There was a mix up w my reservation and they immediately fixed it. Prices not bad and the whole place has a classy vibe to it. Seriously the staff is awesome.Love Jack and Thomas

Amazing hostel above this pub for budget stays. Super friendly staff and pretty decent rooms in terms of security and cleanness.Although, sometimes the 9 bed room might get smelly.

Lovely welcoming pub and clean, affordable bunk accommodation plus great staff. A bit pricey on drinks but broadly not too bad for a prime London location. Outstanding gourmet burgers and food, breakfast a bit so so but the overall experience, ambience and location are simply first class.If you are resident then state it at the bar to get your 19% discount. Recommended and will return! The whole Publove franchise is cool!!!

Great hostel and not far from London Bridge and Borough Market. The rooms were clean and functional. The beds were exceptionally comfortable for a hostel. The associated pub is cozy and offers a wide range of beers and ciders. there is also a selection of food and snacks. the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Highly Recommended !!!

Good bar and atmosphere, good selection of beers(tad expensive). Nice enough accommodation, clean, good temp. For central London hostel.Disappointed that was sold breakfast included. Only to find out in the morning that it doesnt start til 1200! Will be asking a slight refund. Would stay again just without breakfast inc. stop selling it online perhaps...
