Always had mediocre music but the food and service has always been great. Last time we came it was crowded, hot, smoked up, service was horrible and the food was supbar. If they want to attract anyone other than old expats looking for some cheap thrills they should do better.

Another bar/club in Baku where the band is good. Unfortunately, that is all I can say about this place. The service is horrible and the place smells of curry (this is an Indian club?). And it gets very hot inside (we went there in early July and the temps were in the 90s). Not sure if they had the AC running. It was so hot, we had to leave as we couldnt take it.

Very friendly Staff and good location

It is a place nice with good staff. Every Friday and Saturday there are live music with break beautiful belly dancing.

Good food, comfortable, good service and good live music on a Saturday night.

Sports bar with good service. Menu can be a little limited but good selection of drinks. A pool table on winner basis is also available.

Shakespeares is a Baku staple, having been in business a long time. It is a pub with a menu larger than most pubs. A good mix of American, Mexican and Indian meals. Their steak is amongst the best in the city and at about half the price of the steakhouses. Excellent Indian food. Chef gives a choice of spiciness based upon a 1-5 rating... I go for the 7 and find it to be to my outrageously spicy liking.Staff is generally attentive and good at keeping your glass full... not very common in Baku. Friendly and helpful.Downsides... the cigarette smoke is unbearable some nights. If there is a female patron, she is likely working... but working girls are not free to be obnoxious so it is under control. Mixed drinks... this is not the place for it. Stick to beer.I enjoy Shakies for a couple if hours and find it relaxing... beyond that the smoke is a bit offensive.Probably not a couples or ladies night out place... but guys looking for a night out with friends to prep for the nightclub, it is perfect.

Its a nice place to be and the food is really good. Nice to have Indian food in Azerbaijan.
