Old-timey, Celtic–themed watering hole with beer & classic fare like burgers & Irish stew.
very nice place to grab a bite to eat and have a good beer to swollow it down
Beautiful Irish Pub located on a really busy street. Friendly atmosphere with great staff and amazing selection of local Gin, Whisky, Scoth and beers.. I didnt get to try their food, but i was told their food is amazing
Their chalkboard sign said "le meilleur fish and chips dans la ville" so I had to try it. Turns out, they werent kidding!Nice outdoor patio too.[Edit] Tried again in summer 2021, it was actually terrible this time. Knocking down the rating.
Loved it, good restrooms
Quiet place and nice service
Food ok service really slow. Drinks expensive.
Best pub ever ❤️
Wonderful restaurant! Delicious food!
Dog friendly place and great service!
Really subpar food - the nachos were soggy and bland, the burger was tasteless and the fries were soft. The service was friendly but inconsistently available. Nobody was satisfied with their meal.Beer selection was fine.
Amazing fish and chips yummy and smoked meat wowww great experience no regret also no reservations just walk in and you find real Irish pup and some 10 years old whisky yummy , give it a try
Food was bland, but with generous portions. Drink menu was okay, but limited. Prices not bad for the area. Service was average.
Irish place of the area, typical decor makes you feel cozy and in ambience with a pint on hand from a great selection. Food is good and service match it.
Classic Irish pub with great atmosphere and selection. The fish and chips were my favorite. The pulled pork on poutine is a Montreal classic but slightly salty for me. Great place to eat.
Went hear for drinks. Standard pub atmosphere.
Super cozy place and was pretty busy even on a weekday evening. I ordered the smoked ruben sandwich and it was super filling! Highly recommend this place as they have a ton of different drinks.
Cozy but crowded, great place to enjoy a Guiness in Quebec city
Quite good place to hang out, have some beers, get food, and fun
Do not recommend! Got seated on arrival, it took about 15 minutes before we were given menus. The server didnt say hello, just threw menus onto our table. After 30 minutes without anyone coming to even offer water or take our drink order we decided to leave. Happily found a pub not far away with way better prices ($2 less per pint!).
Was a great place, good food and wonderful irish pub ambiance.Service has been perfect.
Great pub for a chilled out evening with friends.. loved the finger food and the beer collection they had. Superb patio on the lively street with great offerings.!!
Good food and nice place nearly Quebec City
Fish and chips is pretty hard to get wrong so, even through I’m not keen on dense batters that cause the fish to resemble a corn dog, Galway’s is pretty good. Also, that coleslaw... could have eaten more.
Good vibe, the burger was too cook and a bit hard to eat. Also there was a guy sitting there for hours, a friend of the staff, reserving a chair and preventing clients to sit, pretenting SHE is on her way. Rhat was so awkward. But the beer was great
Irish pub vibe, good service, good food, good price. I have been there a few times and I would come again, never disappointed. The fish and chips is good, I recommend it. 👌 They have a large selection of beer and classic pub cocktails.
Authenic Irish ambiance. Excellent service. The food is super delicious. A go-to bar on cold snowy days or beautiful summer ones :)
My favourite pub in Quebec city! Their burgers and their fish and chips are really good. If you never tried the Belgian beer Grimbergen, they are one of the rare places where you can find it. You wont be disappointed.
We had a PHENOMENAL experience here! We were hosting a large movie night on the top level of the pub, for which they were surprisingly well equipped. Multiple screens, quality speakers across the room, etc. The owner himself came by to help us get set up, and the waitress catered to our every need with efficiency and a smile. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was convivial, and there was a decent selection of beers to accompany anything ordered.
Nice setting but quite expensive for what you get. The nachos is average at best. The staff threw away my beer when I when out for a couple of minutes. At least they gave me some more.
Nice atmosphere! Excellent selection of beer, wine, scotch, whiskey, and more! A little bit small though, but it adds to the charm! :)
Delicious food. Adorable ambiance and friendly staff. Prices are quite reasonable for the portion size and price.
I love this pub..got a bunch of cool sports memorabilia from the UK and elsewhere scattered through and through. Good drinks and fair pub food. I dont think it ever gets very roudy, although theres a spacious second level with a bar and the whole shabang if need be. I try to come here everytime I come back home. There arent too many Irish pubs around. This one might be the most authentic..keep in mind theyre all watered down nonetheless
We were looking for a dinner location, and were thrilled to find a great pub with a menu offering something for everyone. They have a great staff, fantastic food and good drinks!
Good beers and decent food in a very chill pub. I would definitely go there again!
This place is just too perfect. Endroit geniale. Genre de pub qui se prend pas pour le meilleur en ville. IT IS the best in town. Natural and transparent. Staff always polite and very competant.
The meals are amazing. The burgers are really good and the poutine is nice. The drinks are ok and its nice to try their mixes with Irish drinks (Jameson, Guinness)
Irish poutine starter was good. The Irish stew had great flavor, but the beef was really tough. My tablemates all had fish and chips. The fish was fried nicely, but lacked any definable flavor. The service was subpar. The young server was pleasant enough. He simply wasnt attentive. He didnt check on us until we had eaten and our plates had been cleared. Drink refills wouldve been nice, after the starter at least, let alone at all.
Amazing selection of beers, local and international. Great service. Good music. Pricey, but its an upmarket place in a touristy street.
Took a long time to get serviceEdited to reply to petty response from owner... it took about 20 minutes to get so much as a glass of water. After being told food service would start at 10:30 and waiting until after them to order was told it would start at 11. After 11, waited another 20 minutes before having to flag down service... After it was offered to almost everyone else in the bar, even people who didnt indicate they would like to order food before service started. Three stars is more than generous here.
Situated on rue Cartier as many other bars. So it is a good location to hang out but the prices reflect this fact. Good beer, good putine but not the cheapest one. The bar has also a first floor which offers also a good view on the street. On the groubd floor, on the other hand, it is a bit darker if youre sitting in the rear section of the bar. In overall, it is a good place.
Good for drinks and simple food. Dont get the Irish Stew or anything else complicated. For the price, youll be disappointed.
Very nice Pub. Great service feels like an authentic Irish pub.
Cozy place with a limited choice of beer. The staff was very funny and laid back. Very authentic feeling of an old irish pub somewhat ruined by unfitting music. A good pub overall.
Nice, cozy, small pub. Not the greatest selection of beers, particularly as its an Irish pub... Good customer service and decent selection of food on the menu. Nice location, fairly central compared to everything but just outside the hustle and bustle of the city.
Good and fast service! My friends and I came in for a quick lunch and were overwhelmed with the portion sizes, great band for your buck! Definitely recommend their nachos (yes, even in an Irish pub)
Nice little pub with friendly staff. Mac and cheese was amazing, but fish and chips were just average. Fish was a little mushy and underseasoned. Poutine was good but unremarkable.
Food is good and they have a great selection of beers. Its a nice Irish bar to have drinks with friends or to watch sport games!
Fish & chips was truly awful. Tasted like it came in frozen and pre-beaded....shaped like a TUBE. Chips were greasy. Service slow. Greek salad disgusting. Clam chowder thick as oatmeal with a similar flavor. Avoid at all cost.
Slow service and could not get them to put on the FA Cup final on the TV after they told me twice that they would, they showed a rugby exhibition game instead... I mean it was the FA CUP FINAL !Very good fish and chip though!
My wife and I went for the Fish & Chips as shes from England, and she said he meal was some of the best she has ever had, I dont usually eat fish but even I enjoyed it.
