Expertly trained baristas serve bespoke brews in a buzzy open-plan cafe with minimal furnishings.
Great space for working remotely with super friendly staff! The asian lady was very kind: really appreciated how she always noticed when I was low on tap water and topped it up whenever it was low - without me even asking! Really delicious latte too! Definitely returning again and trying out more of their food menu (only tried their soup which was great)! FYI plugs for charging are available and I would bring earphones if you prefer to work in quiet.
Much hype. Don’t go.Service: waited 45 min for an espressoQuality: meh. -ish. What ever. Some good coffee, nothing amazing.Overall a waste of my tine.
Amazing coffees ☕️. Lots of good options if you do enjoy coffee from filter to espresso, modern style or more vintage. You could take coffee from a vintage lever machine (Faema). Food is also equally amazing 😻. I’ll be coming back again!!!
A cafe that’s affiliated with James Hoffman, I feel like Prufrock is a cafe that should be the #1 destination of any coffee lovers’ pilgrimage. I wasn’t disappointed. We had a classic Flat White, a festive Pumpkin Spice Latte, and toasted buttered Banana Bread. It was probably the best Pumpkin Spice Latte I’ve had (that doesn’t taste too sweet or artificial). The Flat White was good, it was fruity and a bit to the sour side but that’s how I personally like to have my coffee. Finally, the Banana Bread was a nice afternoon treat that goes well with both coffees.I’m looking forward to trying out the brunch soon as well. Fingers crossed it’s just as good! Prufrock is worth the visit.
First, best flat white I’ve had in a minute. I was delightfully surprised at the flavor and quality. Along with good coffee, Prufrock has a great atmosphere-perfect spot for either meeting up with friends or colleagues. Helpful and attentive staff.5 gold stars y’all.
So many options to try! I saw this place in one of James Hoffmans videos. The atmosphere is really good. The people there are really nice. You dont have to tip them as the bill already includes service charge. I had a Nicaraguan/Brazilian filter coffee. It was.... new.
Delightful coffees and food all day long. Professional staff and a cosy crowd!
Cool place with a lively vibe. Maybe it’s just our American expectations but we keep getting served cappuccinos lukewarm instead of hot. While ready to drink and won’t burn your mouth, you don’t want to dawdle as it will cool quickly. Also deducted a point for serving day old croissants on a Monday morning.
Lovely staff, especially the tall young man (didn’t get his namewho provided personable service despite it being busy.Good almond croissant (no fake almond essence in the frangipane). Nice flat white. Would gladly return
Read a review that i couldnt agree with more.I went to this place hoping all the great reviews were true. The food was super tasty i will say that much. Service was abysmal. There were three people working the floor, however only one seemed to take orders, she was ignoring us to the point where I had to get up and ask for someone to take our orders. The waitress seemed to have a negative attitude and wasnt friendly. It was a busy day and i understand that can be stressful but we waited for almost 30 minutes to even order food and coffee. 3 stars because the food was definitely tasty but wouldnt go here again until they hore more staff.
Wonderful brunch and coffee here today. Staff were very attentive and both food and coffee exceptional.
Super friendly staff that welcome you with a smile 😊Usually very busy but the staff do their best to get you a seat. You can work from here and the atmosphere is cool and chill, however if you have online meetings, the background noise could be a problem.
Ordered Single espresso, it taste good from the Traditional lever machine, good to visit and try it out
Its been 8 years, 2 months and 3 days since I first drank a coffee here, on my very first London coffee shop crawl.Im back here again for one reason. The Faema il presidente that I sought to drink a coffee from. I did the comparison taste test. Its been one of Londons best coffee shops for a long long time and still is.
Extremely busy so had to wait 30 min to order. Then tried the Old vs New espresso, which frankly I found kind of gross. Neither tasted nice, just overly sour and bitter. Oolong tea was quite nice though but would have been good if they provided sugar to add to the drink. Not worth it for the price and wait times.
This place is amazing for all serious coffee enthusiast who want to try out and experience the best quality of espresso available. We went for the limited time comparison of new espresso vs a restored 1950s machine and thoroughly enjoyed both. The food was also delicious.
I went here with big expectations.Sadly they missed on most levels but the food. The food (breakfast bunwas literally amazing. The mustard vs the vs the bacon was just amazing.Sadly the service was not good at all, there weren’t that many people on arrival and it was that busy during our time at the cafe. But it took forever and ever for us to get some service, and when my food arrived it took another 30 min for my coffee to arrive. My wife ordered a cappuccino which was literally cold on arrival so we asked them to remake it, which took another 10 minutes, when the new one arrived it was still not hot, but we didn’t bother to ask for a new one again.Once on payment, we were never asked if we were happy with our visit nor did we get any eye contact or asked if we wanted the receipt. It makes me sad because I think this place is so much better than what we saw and I really love the idea of the old coffee machine from the 60s that I tried coffee from. And the interior is cool.I wanted to give them an even lower rating but the food was just so good.
Came to try the vintage Italian machine espresso vs. modern espresso and wasnt disappointed. Knowledgeable and friendly staff and brilliant atmosphere.
Fantastic coffee experience with the old Italian lever espresso side by side with the new red brick espresso. Both are so tasty. Both complex. If you like espresso this is the place. Had to make a trip while I was in London.
I had an hour to spare so decided to pop in for a quick espresso. 45 minutes later Id had 3 different people take my order before I had to get up and leave. The whole point of an espresso is its meant to be quick, it takes less than a minute to make.Ive heard good things about the coffee here but not sure that matters if you never receive it.
Hands down one of the best flat white in London if not the best.Great service and friendly staff.Affgato is tastyAn easy recmondation!Would come again.Came again ans and i tried cortado it was bellow average 6.5/10 sour and low body. This will be my last visit. One star lost.
Their filter coffee (I had Chelbesa Ethiopiawas some of the best coffee Ive had in a long while. Everything I would expect from a great café. It can be pretty busy though - we had to wait in a line outside for 5 minutes before being let in.
One of my new neighborhood favorite.Coffee is good, service was friendly and the food (had the vegan tomato toast was great!). Recommended and will be back.
Great coffee, service and toast! Their mushrooms on toast had incredible flavor.
Lovely time at Prufrock Coffee. We arrived early in the morning directly from the night train to have breakfast and coffee. Ive been planning to visit Prufrock for quite a while now (thanks to James Hoffmann), and finally having the opportunity, Prufrock didnt disappoint. Lovely, creamy yet distinct cappuccino (Square Mile coffee), amazing eggs Benedict. High quality tea with 3 (!!refills and lovely porridge. The staff was nice and helpful and the place had a great atmosphere with nice music. Next time Im around Ill definitely go back!
Really great food and service. We got the bennies and they were great. Their servers topped up our water regularly which was much appreciated!
The waiter said food will be slow when we arrived, but seriously, we ordered toasted fruit bread and granola (doesnt even need cooking!and waited close to an hour before giving up and cancelling the order. The menu was unnecessarily long and still uninteresting. Great coffee tho.
Great coffee, well made poached eggs and extremely friendly service, you couldn’t possibly want more from a cafe ☕️
The food was absolutely stunning, and the guest roast espresso was delicious. Evelina was an amazing host. Can’t wait to come back!!!!
The place itself is absolutely lovely!Staff is so friendly, kind, delicate in their approach to customers. The coffee very tasty, I got a lovely cup made in Japan with my coffee. The space is well organised. If you are looking for calming relaxing place where you can talk, work or read a book, this is a perfect spot
-Good filter coffee.-Tomatoes on a toast was my favourite food ( didnt expect that but... Is simple and very tasty!)If you expect a good coffee everytime no matter what, this is the place. The staff is very friendly - also good fair prices (for 2 peoplefor a light lunch.+ grain coffee, filters, chocolate and books (from Hoffman and other authors etc)
Really adorable coffee shop with sit down service. Great lattes. Postcard teas available. Breakfast was delicious and the wifi was free.
The coconut almond cake is to die for ! The long black and cortado a real masterful taste! Joy!
Great coffe! Not great value of money for the toast and sandwiches it looks like you paying just for the empty bread.
Good service. Had an iced latte and eggs on toast. Eggs on toast was normal- iced latte was good
Best coffee shop in London by far. The coolest thing is they have a list of other places to try to eat and have coffee. I love that they have Square-mile coffee and Tim Wendleboe coffee. And the thicest piece of bacon on earth
This place is always lively, and full of people, amazing coffee, crispy and tasty pastries, super friendly staff. Only one downside is the fact that due to the popularity it’s not the quickest of services but It’s worth the wait.
Awesome place. As soon as we sitted, the waiter brought us water. He was so nice and polite. We ordered coffee and an awesome toast with poached egg.Good music and not noisy
Wonderful coffee shop. Employees very nice and kind. Had Ethiopia on espresso, very pleasant tones. The place was full so having one toilet for customers was definitely not enough.
If you like bacon you have to try the bacon here! It didnt look a lot of food however it filled me up and left me feeling very satisfied. The only thing stopping this being full marks for breakfast was the inability to have a large coffee.
Great coffee and brilliant breakfast, wonderful on a sunny Thursday morning. Options for vegetarian and vegan.
Its one of the best specialty coffee shops in London.Great coffee, a lot of coffee gadgets, coffee beans origins, and books. The breakfast I had was incredibly delicious. (Wild mushrooms toast)Finally, the staff was very friendly and welcoming
excellent long black coffee (indeed one of the best Ive had in Londonand great food (we had a breakfast bun and a sourdough toast with jam). service was impeccable too
Superb coffee selection with a deeply knowledgeable staff. The bright decor convinced us to stay for brunch and we were not disappointed. My perfectly poached eggs Benedict fueled the remainder of the day
I went there for my afternoon coffee. The staff is so friendly. I had a cup of flat white and a green tea latte. Its really good. I love it
Love their staff! They were awesome ♥️I have got a banana bread, it was super and there filtered coffee was good.Definitely will visit the place again
Honestly the best coffee experience Ive had anywhere. The staff are clearly experts in their craft, providing high quality service and advice. The coffee itself is superb, both in the espresso based drinks and for filter coffee options (I had kalita, but I think V60 and other methods are offered). A better selection of natural-processed and light roast coffees than a lot of espresso bars offer, and you can buy a lot of the coffees they use to take home yourself (but dont expect budget prices - the bag of kilimanjaro natural was £19, but it provides some of the sweetest, fruitiest coffee Ive had the pleasure of brewing myself at home). If you like coffee, its a "must-visit" café. Just be prepared to wait a little for the food, as theyre a popular place thats always busy. Definitely worth the wait though.
A cafe for serious coffee-heads, great for quality filter coffees. A good spot for square mile coffee beans too, with the whole collection available to buy. Would be great to try the food next time
Not been here since they redecorated. Still top quality coffee and food. Staff amazingly friendly and helpful as you would expect from Prufrock. The Prufrock vegen breakfast bun was awesome. Great to return to this vibe 😊
First visit back to Prufrock since its revamp and have to say I was really disappointed.I ordered the vegan breakfast bun which looked good but the bun was rock solid, almost hard and stale like, which broke apart into pieces. The filling was okay, but there was far too much heat and spice in this for a breakfast bun and left a horrible taste in my mouth and really wasnt worth the price. As for the coffee, this was the most disappointing part. My oat latte it seemed the milk had separated from the coffee and in the bottom of the cup was coffee grounds which was a nice surprise when I got a mouthful.I loved the old Prufrock so this was a bitter disappointment (Ive used that word a few times now).I hope when Im next in London and pay a visit, the quality is better for the price.
