Buzzing joint serving generous plates of Southern staples such as pulled pork, catfish & ribs.
Always good food and great service.
Great place to eat for a meat and two. Love the vegetable plate.
Great home style cooking, the bbq is amazing, catfish is great, so many options, great prices! You will not leave disappointed no matter what you choose!
Was seated at 12:15 waitress came took our order hubsband order 3 piece catfish and I ordered stuff baked potato at 12:55 we left still gad not received our food.
Catfish was very good! Enjoyed our lunch while passing through town
Service is always good and the food has a great taste...If your visiting Gadsden its a must...
They r always good and the service is excellent good food r meal was paid for
I drove an hour and a half from Chattanooga to try the BBQ here. Well, it was three hours well spent. So good I got a pound to take home!
This restaurant is amazing, definitely recommend coming here especially because the price is so reasonable. Ribs fall off the bone and fried chicken juicier than baked chicken, also the catfish was pleasant. Service was really good despite them being very busy, but that’s always a good sign, right?
Although my family and I spent a few days in East Tennessee, we opted to skip the barbecue restaurants there because we knew that the best value and prices were at Pruetts in Gadsden. If this place was closer to home, they would know us by name. There is so much pride in the cleanliness and upkeep of the restaurant, hospitality of the cashiers and waitresses, and presentation of every plate. I also appreciate that they have kept their prices the same for as long as they have, even though I will continue to support them if they determine that prices must be increased to help Pruetts survive. Hats off to everything and everyone here! We cannot wait to see you all again soon! Pruetts is a rare gem in todays world.
We arrived at Pruetts for an early dinner as did a number of other people. Inspite of the full wait staff not yet having come we were promptly seated. After a brief wait our waitress took our order and our food came out in no time. All of our dinner party was very pleased with our meal. I love their hamburger steak with brown gravy and onions. Our waitress was very attentive without being overbearing. All of us had a great meal and a good time at Pruetts.
One of the best! Loved the chicken fingers and Mac and cheese! Great service.
Food was good and hot in and out quickly for a Friday night. The catfish was really good. The bbq was ok not my favorite. The Brunswick Stew was not bad as well as the onion rings. If the bbq was better I would have given 5 stars because the service was excellent as well. Recommend this place of ever in Gadsden!!
Great food great service. All food tastes homemade.
Waited a long time for a table and then all they had to drinks was tea and water, bathroom was out of toilet paper and was messy and door wouldnt shut to the stall
Food and service were good. Roach crawled across the table while we were waiting on our food.
Team Pruetts, keep up the good work on the Brunswick Stew. I know you guys are real busy but just make sure you package your carry outs with a little more fortitude container wise and Ill be back for more. See you Monday for the best fried chicken in town!
They are very busy at lunch time but always manage to get you in fairly quickly. Great food!
We love this place, they are always busy but they are fast and the food is great!! This is one of our go to places as a family.
I LOVED THE FOOD HERE!! I usually don’t like bbq food but this was exquisite! I got chicken sandwich with Mac and cheese and let me tell you, ITS AMAZING! GET YOUR BBQ HERE!!! My family loved their food too!
I grew up on Pruetts, hadnt had it in years, then finally got to go back. The restuarant was PACKED so we were to the drive thru. The pulled pork was awesome. It was my first time trying their Brunswick stew, it was just okay. Im hoping next time I can actually get to sit down inside!
The food smelled better than it tasted. Told them NOT to put pickles on my barbecue pork sandwich (drive thruand they did anyway....The baked potato was so dry it could use some eczema cream....Their barbecue sauce was so bad it tasted like watered down vinegary nastiness and theyre baked beans were way too runny and just overall not good.First impression, not great.
I bought bbq, baked beans and cole slaw for 12 ppl and it was only around $80.00. The food was delicious and there was plenty for everyone.
The smell was better than the taste. You can tell they dont care for the customers hearing what they have to say especially when asked if they still have a table they say "yea unfortunately" realize they can be heard by said table and say I was just kidding (and she couldve been). Then later on during cleaning seem one move food down and spray with another saying "hey you dont see that misting back on the food" which she still processed to serve. They seem friendly enough and it was almost closing on a graduation night so Im sure they were busy and tired. Still no excuse but would def like to give them another try when in the area. They couldve just had an off night.
The BBQ plate had large chunks, the squash casserole had HAM in it (never heard of that and certainly couldn’t eat itdressing was good. Waitress very good. Most everyone looked pleased with their food. Would recommend depending on what you order.
This is what Alabama BBQ is about. Pruetts belongs to the pantheon of southern barbeque greats that exist in our lovely state. On top of the staple items, they also presented a pretty mean meat and 3. Add this one to your stops if you are around this way.
Loved the food and service. Great BBQ and good old fashioned southern food.
BEST food Ive eaten in a VERY long time! This was my first time. We live in Oxford and Id say we will definitely make the drive to come back.
Great Southern style home cooking. Fast friendly service with large portions at a fair price.
First trip … will be back. Despite appearing very busy, we were quickly seated. Server was attentive and offered good suggestions. Opted for burgers based on previous reviews - requested bread over buns, which was a great choice. They were very tasty and filling. Tried variety of sides: okra, onion rings, Mac and cheese and - since a bbq place - Brunswick stew. Everything was hot and tasty. Looking around, rest of meals looked very good with large portions. Thought price was fair for what we received. Will return when in area again.
The food was just ok, the staff was very friendly. my wife had the pork plate special, ( just ok,). I had the beef brisket (dry and flavorlessno bark and the bbq sauce was just ok. Local favorite but our tastes differed.
Absolutely loved the food! I got a combo with catfish, chicken fingers, and bbq pork. It was absolutely amazing.
Catfish was the best Ive ever had, and the Mac & cheese was hot and creamy. Expect a bit of a wait but it is well worth it.
AMAZING FOOD AND AWESOME SERVICE. AND AFFORDABLE PRICES THE BEST PLACE IVE HAD SINCE MOVING TO GADSDEN
Love this place! The food is always on point, with good barbecue, awesome country sides, and the best old fashioned cheeseburger left around these parts. We drive 40 miles, to eat here at least 2 times a month.
Lunch was great! One of the best fried chicken Ive had. Love the decor too. Especially the bathroom....
Fairly decent food. I dont really care for their BBQ (Ive had much much better BBQbut their daily meat and 2 veg plates are pretty good. I like their meatloaf, chicken w/stuffing, pork roast with gravy, and most of the veggies that Ive had. The only problem is dealing with the traffic on Rainbow Drive and the new traffic stupidity curbs the city/state are putting in along the Drive.
The last time we ate here we ordered take out/ to go.The food was good.Nice for a group or big family because it offers a variety of daily specials, entrees, and sides to choose from.Prices have risen pretty significantly .Was disappointed to be told that a call in order could not be picked up at the drive thru window. So inconvenient to go inside just to pick up a to go order. Not worth the effort to scrounge for overcrowded handicapped parking and unload the wheelchair to run inside. for a take away order.Next time I will go next door to the lil pruetts drive thru window and settle for a pulled pork sandwich.
Gotta get me some BARBEQUE & BLUEGRASS!YouTube/Bonded In Bluegrass
The food was good and service was good ,but the sauce was way to vinegary for my taste.
Another first for me. I have never been to Pruetts to eat. Anyway our usual group went to lunch there. We had a short wait because the place was packed. It was meatloaf Monday for the special. I had meatloaf for my Sunday dinner so my daughter and I chose the whole catfish plate. It came with 2 golden fried catfish with onion rings and fried okra( you can choose your sides). The others chose the meatloaf special. It was good, the meatloaf was moist with a great flavor. We enjoyed our lunch and will definitely be going back. Everyone was so nice from the other customers to the staff. It was a pleasant visit.
Me and my family stopped by for some lunch. My kids werent expecting to eat, but got drawn in from the intriguing menu. The bbq was excellent, and so was the sauce. My kids loved the steak fries, as well as the sweet potato fluff. Clean, excellent service, and great food! Definitely coming here again.
Yum! I live out of town and make it a point to eat here when passing through. Best BBQ and sides Ive ever had.
The ribs are THE BEST. So tender and juicy. The sauce is tangy and different than any Ive had.The catfish has a spice to the breading that gives it flavor without being spicey or hot. I had the chocolate pie for dessert, which is like a brownie with a dollop of whipped cream on top.
Food was delicious. Service was good. Will be returning when back in the area.
Ive travelled all over the U.S. & HANDS DOWN this place is THE BEST! Always meaty, juicy ribs & the sides never disappoint. Service is impeccable every time. And, Oh Lord, that sweet sweet sweet tea💗
Some of THE best fried Catfish, fried Okra, and Hush puppies around! Very courteous staff.
Oh My Goodness- this place was just marvelous. Country cooking at its best. It was packed with locals on a Friday night and a waiting line. The barbeque smelled wonderful, but we ended up getting the 4 veggie plate. They had about 12 veggies to choose from, which made it hard to choose. I got Brunswick stew (Yes, it got counted as a vegetable), fried squash, onion rings, Cole slaw. They added a huge slab of cornbread and a stalk of green onion. All this for $6.50!! My daughter ate the sweet potato fluff- it could be eaten as dessert. Will come back soon.
If youre really into cooking/baking, check out the recipes on the bathroom stall walls! Great homestyle options at this meat and three. Sides are really inexpensive. Like .65 for a slice of cornbread. Really good fried squash, sweet potato fluff, hushpuppies and catfish and squash casserole. I didnt care too much for their bbq sauce and they use liquid smoke on their chopped pork. But other than that, everything else I tried was good. Daily menu options change throughout the week. This place is no frills and inexpensive.
Good old southern hospitality was found here. We loved the warm atmosphere here. It was like eating at a family reunion. The food was good and the service was wonderful.
