Lovely tractor trip up the mountain. Very friendly and helpful farmer. Great hospitality. Country and veld experience. A must for nature lovers. The potjiekos is super afterwards and a must visit. We just ate too much of the delicious boere food and pudding. Will definately go again. A great bargain in every way.

Good day outing. Family friendly with great staff and amazing scenery. Bring a jacket even in summer as it is quite nippy at the top.

Was definitely a different experience. Whilst we were enjoying the exhilarating ride next to steep slopes and drops, the axil of the trailer broke and the trailer ran of the road. It tilted to the side and we all leaned towards the drop. If this had happend 2 minutes earlier the trailer would have had a fall down a slope and people would of lost their lives. Fortunately the trailer got wedged on rocks and seized to tip over.I doubt that inspections are done on these trailers.My pregnant wife and I, along with the rest of the people had to walk down the mountain.We paid for a trip up and down the mountain nearly lost our lives and had no refund.If however you want to eat the potjiekos, go for it! It was delicious. I would however cation the tractor trip.

Good trip to go on to view the stunning scenery in the area. Pity that the wild fire had decimated the proteas but the bush is already recovering and will soon be at its best.

Lovely experiance with nature. Tractor tows the seating area up the mountain. Very steep and terrain is too steep even for a 4X4. Lovely experiance

Definitely worth a visit. Fun and informative with great potjie kos lunch at the end of it. Tractor takes you to top of mountain for great views and a quick sweet wine.

A wonderful experience. Glad we did this. Sadly the proteas were all destroyed in recent fires but the views are epic and still worth the trip. Excellent potjie lunch. The potjie is excellent - generous servings of wholesome food. The best ever happen.

If you are staying over in Montagu then you absolutely HAVE to go on the Protea Tractor ride!! Afterwards it is recommended you also stay for the potjie kos - it is good old fashioned stew served in the tea dion al South African way! It is worth noting that this event only takes place on Wednesdays and Saturdays - worth every cent paid

What a dissapointing 4X4 experience ever. Never even engage my vehicle in 4X4. The route is paved with cement. Karin did not even made the effort to come out to meet us before the trip where we had to pay. The employee that help us did not even know what the route rating is. In my view it is a 2 rating.

Very picturesque area in the mountains of the Koo Valley and a fabulous tractor trip to the top of the mountain which overlooks the town of Robertson Western Cape. A stunning pooitjie meal is served as part of the booking.
