Princes Wharf - Restaurant in Auckland, New Zealand
Loved everything
Chaos reigns when a cruise ship comes in with buses galore. IDNZ seem to have a good working plan to operate to, to get ships passengers off to their respective day trips. But it takes a long time for just under 500 passengers to disembark.
Crime: Car kidnappingRansom: Whatever the towing company asks
Mouldy carpet, definitely not clean
Much better than the old departure Wharf and long overdue. 😎
Prime location...Service wasnt as great was the location
Petticoats slipping a little in the privately own apartments rented out as exec. Management staff efficient and friendly. Parking amazing simple ample at a price. Felt very secure parking here.
This is the best way to expirence Auckland. Perfect place, wow beauty ment something different to me untill Ive been here
Busy vehicle traffic in the evenings. A lot of restaurants are operating at reduced hours. Nice views of harbour.
Hilton is truly a 5star hotel
Ive either never been here in my life or Im here right now. Its pretty cool
Great place for restaurants and bars
Excellent place for all your party needs... also has stuff for sale and rent.
Good place to walk and enjoy the sunrise.
Amazing Location and Safety. Depending on where you stay at Princes Wharf amenities are different. Hilton has a great restaurant, service and Pool (currently under repairsmall gym
Went here expecting to find a princess ... no luck but not sure if thats just because we are in the middle of a lockdown?
Love staying in private apartments here on the wharf. Cheaper than hotel rooms, roomier and very well appointed with excellent service. Thanks Pullos Princes Apartments. :-)
Very clean, friendly people, good shops and services
Left side, you can see the Sea. Crossing to the Right side, looking back you can see Auckland. It is a beautiful, amazing, stunning
Beautiful, and well looked after.Keep on keeping us clean Auckland. It looks amazing
Nice but starting to look very old and in need of a make over .
Beautiful apartment great views relaxing and walking distance to town
Accom shed 23 great.Students going to ball at Hilton good.Unfortunately they let these people onto Princes Wharf who were there to annoy others with huge burnouts loud revving of bikes and cars completely blocking others riding dangerously on cars.Uso riders or something.Had no business there. No security in sight.
Beautiful place felt very luxurious thats for sure! So clean and tidy. Only downfall, it was impossible to locate.
Excellent stay. Clear directions given for check in and luggage hotel. Staff very friendly
Stayed in an Air BnB on Princess Wharf. Our room overlooked the Maritime Museums docks and Jetties where my Voyaging Waka Ngahiraka-mai-tawhiti was berthed. The suite was very comfortable and spacious and amazingly free of the hubbub of the bars directly below. We were in Shed 22 suite 5 so were directly above the crab shack. Got a little more noisy out on the deck with bbq and nice table n chairs for a lovely merlot cab sav or 2 or 3... The delicious smells coming up from the restaurants lent a very nice ambiance to the atmosphere of the wharf area as the sun was setting over the Viaduct. Very nice it was.
Its a Wharf, The Providor is nice to visit and well priced. No where to sit at the end of the wharf, That is for behind the cloud. A nice view of the harbour bridge.
Can be very expensive parking .. and ONLY the pay machine by the cafe in the middle offers early bird parking..
Excellent place to stay, although parking was a bit steep, considering we stayed for 4 nights only got 1 day of parking with apartment
Great location but sooooo noisy. Between the neighbors banging the walls, slamming their doors and the bars playing extremely loud music, it kind of spoils the weekend. Its more a frat house than a place to stay
Amazing views and good layout. Taken with how airy and big the studio units were. Feeling of luxury close to the water and CBD.Tricky to get to at moment because Quay St is being dig up to improve services. Suggest Google map check before you go. Should be over by August 2020.
Beautiful scenery, restaurants are spread out and lots of variety, spacious enough to ride electric scooters around.
Stayed at serviced apartments in Shed 22. Highly recommend staying here. Well priced for an exclusive spot. Beautiful view from room and balcony. Very clean and modern rooms nice decor. Close to so many bars, restaurants and shops. We will definitely be back.
This is a view from one of the penthouses (update the air conditioning please!). The second apartment we stayed in was fantastic and would recommend especially if you want a 2 minute walk to the Whitianga ferry. Very reasonable and good customer service.
Very nice, but so much construction in the entire area that it really distracted from our visit. But yes, a very nice place to be. Very central.
Asked the woman three times if where I was parking was okay overnight. Was told I would be fine, no charges. Ended up getting two tickets at $120 total. Basically, do not believe their advice, use the parking app like I was going to originally
As we were disembarking the Dream ship, the terminal wardens directing the traffic were quite disorganised, seemed stressed. Was not a good look or experience. Uneccessary agression and rudeness. People parking their vehicles crookedly (taking up two parking spots), as their were many people waiting for transport. The drivers whom were behaving selfishly with their parking, were not policed well enough when asked to park straight, in order to allow others to park and collect friends and family members. It was a mess, that didnt need to happen that way. I would be very concerned if there were a natural disaster. Based on the organisation we observed, many would be in trouble.
Select Apartments were amazing. Fabulous night out for us. First class service.
There arent any words to describe how much I love staying at Princes Wharf 😍😍 The views never cease to be amazing🥰🥰
Weve stayed in 3 different apartments here and 2 out of the 3 were exceptional! Excellent location.
Our appartment was lovely, good kitchen. But the shower was covered in mold. And TV was tiny.
If we werent staying here, wed be walking see the sights here.It is a wonderful place to stayOur apt is quiet and so well set up. Love it on Princes Wharf. Right next to the Hilton
Perfect location to restaurants, down town shopping and nice area for early morning walks. Friendly security staff, apartment has great views.
Stayed in a really nice Airbnb in this area. Loved it in the afternoon & evening however in the morning it was extremely noisy (which I understandbut very noisy nonetheless!!
Loads of fun..great vibe..lots to do and see..great to have the city and the sea meet so well
Very high class apartments and hotel rooms. Only downside is that parking is very cramped and there’s usually not enough space.
Ok port, the only problem is trying to get transport to take us straight to the Auckland International Airport from the cruise ship terminal, which is the Princes Wharf. We were pointed to the area by an airport staff, where we can get a shuttle, but after sitting inside for about 5 mins waiting for other passengers to fill the shuttle, was rudely asked to moved, as the driver had more passengers than my husband & I. From our recent experience, cab & shuttle drivers overcharges passengers. I was adviced by a guest to just walk down the ramp (about 10 metres away), to just grab a cab waiting at the taxi rank, which was much cheaper. Sorry, Princes Wharf, not impressed!
Short story: racist security personnel -P24 Group.I had been here a few times for events and decided it would be a good spot for NYE with family. While we were looking at the few restaurants there (been walking for 10 mins or so and just reached the end), A security team member approached and angily yelled at us in front of the restaurants: "Move off the path! Do you speak english? Why are you not moving off the path?" - looking around.. we were not obstructing any cars or people? It wad dead quiet for an Auckland wharf.First, we had not heard or been instructed by her or anyone from the wharf team to move off the path, despite that we had been trying to walk on one side (as some vehicles had been using the path too)Secondly: to her surprise most of us spoke english and responded to her racist remarks. Her respond as to why she needed to be rude? "Because people have been screaming at you to move off the path" then talked to her colleague "if you are not rude they wont leave!" . Funnily, the area was dead quiet, each retaurant/ bar had one to two group, two car drove past us, almost no other pedestrians apart from 4 who witnessed this, no horns were sounded.I was expecting much better from a big establishment And wonder what this team member would have yelled at people who cant actually speak english.
We booked accommodation at “Princes Wharf Grace Apartments” through Qantas Hotels.Whilst the reviews seemed good and the photos looked good, this place is filthy, dated and not as advertised. Now, Laura, the contact on arrival refuses to respond to the contact from Qantas Hotels. She refuses to take their calls and Qantas Hotels have removed this property from their site based in the photos and misinformation provided by this property. There is no reception or check-in. “Laura” meets you in the car park. The property stated “sea facing”. This is incorrect - it faces the Maritime Museum. The property also stated “food and drink included”. This is incorrect. The photos do not show the dated and aged property and do not show the filth inside the property. There was dirty bedding in the cupboard, the heated towel rail was filthy and rusted, there was marks all over the walls, the bed was hard, the pillows were hard, the verandah glass panelling was so filthy you couldn’t see through it, there was green mound on the outdoor table, there was dust on the shelving in the bathroom, rust on the washing machine and generally dirty. The furniture was dated and tired with paint peeling off, the shower was dirty, the carpet had stains, the lounge was stained and the furniture looked like it came from an Op Shop. This is not what we expected for the high price we paid.Photos can be provided as evidence.BEWARE BEFORE BOOKING!
Brilliant find of new luggage storage facility on Princes Wharf for when we visited. Thanks guys for helping to lighten our load.
