AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!Horrible, absolutely DONT GO THERE! Very old fashioned, not in a good way. Horrible smell on every single common area, as if no window has been open in years. The room was dark and the toilet, even though was fairly clean it was in a bad condition. The shower got blocked after one shower! Creating a pool inside.HORRENDOUS MATRESS!!! I sat down on the bed and felt the base of the bed, really bad sleeping with the springs on my back. Pillows almost disintegrated after so many years of usage.I give one star because you cant give 0! The worst hotel experience Ive ever had in my life.

be careful applying for jobs here they lie about payments and such . All under the books so don’t be fooled :these people know what they are doing

I was work this hotel for housekeeping and there one girl Allen and she seen my job application and she was call me and ask are you interested this job My answer is yes then she was talking about detailed per hours 9 pound and regular cleaning time 11am to 2 pm and I agree to part time job 3 days if possible 4 days and I was go to work this hotel but it’s very high cost to fare my transportation that’s why I tell him If pay transportation cost then I agree otherwise I don’t come again so one day my training 2 room clean and after 4 days I work there clean 2 days I was clean 6 room and 2 day I was clean 4 room because this 2 days clean 2 big room. When I asked my payment this girl was told me you come I go then she said today not possible I will discuss my manager then payment so after 2 days I agin call she said any day you come when I go to collect my money she said she has not talked with her manager then again I come after one month when I call. Again and again then she tell come when you free then I said when I free come before the day I was call and tax her she said ok then go she agin wait then wait 1 hour she said and Alex coming a boy to payment purposes and he come he said no not today That time I’m angry said you must pay today because you said today I come here and collect my payment after 30 minit he come and one blank page show me and said signature your name and go then come and where my amount is every 3 hours 4 day cleaning 108 pount he was give just 45 pound check I’m disappointed and ask where is my full payment he said. Your room count 5 room then 45 pound but I said not the payment for count room payment for hourly contact so you pay £108 he said no but my room count also 10 rooms but how can you pay £45 he said send your work date I also send my work date but he never response and then said you done only 5 room I said why you are lying? Check your CC camera if you are not paid my payment I complain against you and your hotel so guys what can I do tell me ? I’m a international student and I work for money but if this the fraud people do this what can I say what’s your reputations it is negative impact for your country guys. Sound plz against this hotel. Nice four poster bed quiet location sea veiw and 360view

Saw the proprietor on arrival then not till the last day never got asked if things were. OK didnt get a change of towels or bedding all week, had no microwave or fridge as advertised small rail to hang clothes 4 coat hangers for two of us the list is endless dont bother going

Clean room, nice location and fair prices. Just be prepared to become aware of every details of your neighbors sex life, as wall are very thin.

DO NOT BOOK!! Worst customer service I have ever encountered. We notified the hotel that we would be 10 minutes late checking in and when we arrived reception had closed and we were refused check-in, leaving us stranded without anywhere to stay. Poor communication from the hotel throughout, and a refusal to refund our money even though we were unable to stay there! From what we could see from the entry corridor and reception area the hotel was very run down, shabby and dirty, with electrical wires trailing along the hallway taped to the carpet. Parking was also quite awkward. Horrendous experience all round

Walls were paper thin, no hot water in the shower and our coffee cups has dust and hairs over them. Not the greatest of experiences

Diabolical abomination of a place, literally wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone! This place should get zero stars not even one. Walls are paper thin , had next door banging on the walls at 6pm! The lady was rude she doesn’t have any people skills! If your in group of more than 2 people I wouldn’t stay there as the lady was very unwelcoming, telling us that it’s a small hotel and we needed to keep the noise down at 8pm as there’s to many of us! Well why accept a booking 5 people than? Our head board was an old fire place , went up to the window and the curtain rail fell down, the tv turned on its self in one room, looks like they got all there furniture from the rubbish dump, was dirty literally after having a shower in there you feel you need another shower to get clean There’s a reason why there’s a self check out system.

Clean enough but really noisy and very cold. Staff were warm and pleasant.

This is a budget hotel without the budget price. Staff are friendly enough but the room dated, the bed pretty uncomfortable and the shower weak. Perfect location for the Brighton Marathon but not much else. Very thin walls too so if its a last resort like it was for us, earplugs are recommended.

Fantastic stay here, upon arrival I was impressed with the staff and the hotel it self. It’s amazing and feels like you are going back in time with the theme and decor of the rooms (minus the modern bathrooms and technology hahagreat stay and sleep here. Location is also 10/10

Friendly staff amazing rooms and views

Stayed here with my partner for New Years Eve 2018. The room was nice enough however shower had no temperature control and was far too hot to use and we also spotted some mould in the fridge. As I said the room itself was nice enough however things could definitely be done to improve this little hotel!

My friend has checked in on the 8th of January around 4pm with 2 very heavy luggages and her room was on 2nd floor and no lift, we kindly asked to Mickael who was on duty to help us a little bit to carry the luggages and he actually refused and giggled. We were stunned, speechless and shocked.Next day on check out the lady who was on duty helped my friend and she was an absolute kind person.I think a review would be appropriate to have with that employee. Lazy and unprofessional, which give a bad image of the hotel.

Poor cleanliness and maintenance of this hotel which is a shame as it is in such a wonderful location. However you might as well save your money and go else where as you spoilt for choice with a number of other hotels that are within the same vicinity. The hotel was run down with obvious tears and distressing to the carpets. The entrance and reception area is dark and gloomy and is always unmanned. The room was adequately sized and facilities such as towels, tea and coffee, hairdryer and a large tv where provided. The looked somewhat clean on first observation but upon taking a better look you can tell it wasn’t. It was very dusty and smelt musty. The bed was clean with new sheets but the mattress was cheap and very uncomfortable as I could feel every spring. The divan of the bed was torn and headboard was not attached the bed. The toilet had brown stains on the seat and appeared to have not been clean. The bathroom facilities did appear modern enough. However when I tried to take a shower the water would not drain. At the moment i would not recommend my worst enemy to stay here. Thank god I was only here for one night. The management should really think about renovation as the property has so much potential but is greatly lacking the optimal standards at present.

Me llamo Andrés, estuve trabajando en negro en este sitio, no pagan!!! Tened mucho cuidado, se mueve mucho dinero en cubierto aquí, las habitaciones, el trato y los dueños lamentables. Se aprovechan de los extranjeros.Las habitaciones, yo que las limpiaba, muy sucias, reutilizan toallas, nunca pasan el aspirador, y cobran un precio muy caro por lo cutre que es el hotel. No vayáis.La jefa se ríe de los huéspedes, y tienen habitaciones como zulos, pero con camas.Las tazas del cafe no se friegan, son totalmente antihigiénicas.Mucho una estrella para la verdad de hotel.

Very friendly staff, great location - 3min.to the beach but I was slightly disappointed about 1 bedroom room. I think it wasnt even cleaned before my arrival...

I had a double room, which had been upgraded from a single. The room was quiet, cosy and had everything youd need for an overnight stay. The place was clean and welcoming.

Worst experience ever. My flight was too late and I contacted the hotel to tell them, I arrive a bit later after the official Check-in time. They told me that this is not possible and that I have to find another accomodation, but they charged the money for the night! Absolutly customer unfriendly. Because I had booked two nights, and I didnt want to loose the money for the second night, I checked in the second night. The room was not cleaned - hair on the bed and dirty bathroom and dust everywhere. Too expensive for what you get. Very disappointing

Rooms very dusty, shower room not very clean, website says breakfast at the regency, but we were told that was not possible as we hadn’t booked the food option, that was not available, very over priced

Stayed in a twin room with my mum. It was absolutely freezing as the heating wasnt on and the window was left open. The beds were basic, creaky and very uncomfortable. The duvets either covered your feet or your shoulders - you couldnt cover both unless you rolled into a ball. The walls are paper thin and we could hear everything from a very amorous couple next door! There was absolutely no water pressure - a dribble came out of the tap and the same for the shower which was cold. The communal areas smelled quite musty and old. However, the room we had was very clean and the 2 members of staff we saw were very polite. This could be such a nice place with a bit of effort and properly working amenities. Its in a great location.

Great place to stay. I was there with the love of my life and everything seemed perfect.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS.SCAM / FRAUDI stayed 1 night and then 2 days later they charged £500 to my credit card without my authorisation claiming I had broken a window.This is not the case and the bank are currently investigating for fraud.The hotel is dirty and unpleasant anyway but stay away.

Calm and beautiful sea view

Nice stay, not the best room, not the worst. Was clean and had a good bed, we had a jacuzzi in our en suite which was very nice. Staff were polite, a little hard to locate at times but very helpful once found.If the price is right I will use them again, if not Ill try the Brighton hotel down on the sea front.

Really nice staff, nice hotel

The place is so dated the bathroom was filthy with cork tiles on the floor which were coming up , the shower was stainless steel the ceiling was falling apart not what you would expect for 125 for a night it was that bad we went out for the day and didnt come home until it was closing time at the pub .

Guys this is my advice do not stay here on this hotel I hate people who just want money from workers working like slaves for them. Yesterday I went there for interview I clean 5 rooms with them basically I was training, caps were washed in the the toilet room without washing up liquid nothing at all just water to clean the mirrors no blue roll nothing except towers, just imagine u drinking in a cap where someone has put his mouth and the cup been just washed with water, anyway I ask Ellen at the end how much I would get an hour she said 650 when minimum wages are 750 now. I feel sorry for the workers there I think their employer illegal people for that...! Sorry about my English as I am Portuguese my English is not the best. But guys dont go to this place where their make people work like slaves and Ellen takes the best part say no to this..! Thanks for reading and pass this to others..!

Robbed of my deposit of the landlady forgot to collect it on leaving went back to days later only to be given storys on how she has no cash then started saying there must have been something wrong with the room, then she will call me when she has it. A constant run around still not got it back room was freezing never cleaned Ive met plenty of crooks but this landlady is the worse one, money went missing from my room!!!!

Absolutely disgusting- dont stay here - No useable shower -No warm water -No staff to complain to - Dirty Rooms - Damp smell - We were given someone elses dirty room to have a shower in because ours didnt work, not allowed to use a clean room - Not allowed to speak to the manager -Young boy left in charge with no authority - Very rudeI sent an email to the manager, Ellen advising her of our stay, she didnt respond. Therefore I called her. As I expected she denied that the shower didnt work, stating that I was uneducated as I didnt know how to use the shower!!!!! I explained that neither did her stand in manager to which she replied, he was new!!!! Absolute joke of a hotel. I just wish I had read the reviews on Trip advisor before I stayed there as it is a common theme unfortunately.Book elsewhere, there are so many better places with facilities that work
