Traditional Victorian bar with upstairs sofa lounge, serving pub dishes and pastas plus live music.
Decent pub for drinks, not so much for food.
Good vibe, prices not badGood live music but a bit too loud to talk
Took the Eurostar to London and planned my first pub visit since Covid: how I missed pubs! Not only the cask-drawn ales, but the food. I used google maps and read the reviews, and planned. It was dinner time, a few people at tables but the crowd hadnt arrived yet. I found a menu and placed my order at the bar... my pint was pulled and then I was told, "Kitchen Closed" and a price for the pint that was far in excess of what I was used to paying. That was followed by "Card Only" when I put my cash on the bar. No sign for either Kitchen Closed or Card Only, just a smirk from the barman at the aged Dutch lady still living in pre-decimalisation. Mood broken for that day, but long memories of once-great pubs cherished.
Typically pub, nice staff, good beer and delicious snacks.
Reduced menu on Saturday but great vibe
Cosy pub, good food, nice beer and friendly service
Good place to have a couple beers, limited menu. Just a heads up I had looked at some older pictures thinking they had a big menu but when we arrived they only had two things on the menu.
Good cold Guinness. Nice quiet place for an afternoon drink.
Good place though I didnt drink but it was good ambience with a good background music overall worth it.
Good selection of beers and wines, the cocktails are amazing. Twice a week you can listen to live music from various bands. Great place to chill.
One of the few pubs left in the Queensway. A bit expensive though.
Great pub. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere.. 🍻
One my favourite pubs in London, been coming here for like the last 7 years. The staff is always very helpful and cool. Definitely love the live music, gets you to sing along everytime. 😅
Its an OK pub, not the best in the area, quite pricey.
Really nice pub warm atmosphere 👌
Nice high ceilinged pub with a wonderfully helpful barman. The Timothy Taylor, as always, was exceptional as was the Orchard Thieves cider
Nice pub good range of ales etc, live music in the evenings and a roof terrace
Its a long time since I was last here, but this place hadnt changed much. Its quiet throughout much of the day and gets a little busier later. They have live music some evenings.
Wonderful traditional pub. The staff were welcoming and the beer cold … what more could you want??!
The worst pub I have ever been to rude general manager the beer was very flat and I asked ti change it the manger said it’s fine when it wasn’t have worked in hospitality for over 7 years and never seen a pub or such a rude general manger in my life do not go here !!!!!!!!!!! Lots of better pubs around wost pub ever
The bartender was slow, charged us for an extra bottle of water and wouldn’t give us the receipt when asked for it. We ended up paying more and also wouldn’t give us a glass for the other bottle.
Over £9 for a 200ml bottle of Diet Coke and a pint of their cheapest (and worstpint Fosters. No draft on. Don’t bother.
Live music on weekends, doesnt get too crowded and the staff is friendly
Great pub for a drink, chat, and general hangout. Great staff, great pub.
6p no food service. empty, no customers. passive aggressive staff. limited selection on tap. no resemblance to the pub myth.
Nice pub with outside and inside seating. Did not have Desperados I was craving for though ;)
We booked here last minute because we couldnt find anywhere else and it was the best decision we made! The food was really tasty and good quality and amount for the price.Nice location as well, you can see Greenwich park from your window while you eat.Staff was nice and helpful too. Definitely will try to come back next time Im in around.
Wouldnt set foot in the place. Started off with booking a table for 4pm to have dinner and drinks. Arrived only to be told the kitchen is closed due to a function. Not once were we notified of this in the time since we made the booking. It only got worse from there... No working womens toilets in the main bar, was refused use of the upstairs toilets as was a function on that night(we arrived 3 hours before the function startedand told to use the mens toilets. Harassed any time I went upstairs to use the toilets(i refuse to use the mens toilets when there is ladies available), told there were plenty of other pubs around if I didnt like it. Extremely rude girl behind the bar doing all the harassing. No issue with any other member of staff. The guys behind the bar were nothing but helpful. Never ever again will I set foot in this bar
I have been there on Friday evening/ night and it was great to have a pint with my friend , plus live music !! Great !!
Drinks are very expensive, over 11 pounds for a large JD and coke. Great live music though, maybe just stick to soft drinks 😊
Nice pub with live band on Thursdays, Fridays & Saturday. Easily accessible on Queensway. A bit pricey on some things but generally good
Nice pub; Friendly staff and comfortable atmosphere; not overcrowded; they have a fireplace at the back, and live music, @alextanmusic played and was much fun
The staff here were fantastic. They hosted a dinner for us in the upstairs space, which is very large, comfortable and has a private bar. It was a perfect space, and the fish & chips they served us were excellent. I can highly, highly recommend them for private events.
Good beers, and good food, pretty coal-effect gas fire burning in a grand old fireplace, and wall to wall TVs for the sport.
Nice, chilled out, local pub. Staff is super friendly and welcoming, the place is very relaxed and cosy. They have a good selection of snacks and an interesting traditional menu.
Really lovely pub the staff are super friendly and theres a large choice of drinks. It is a little pricey but then the area its in is well established. I reccomend a visit here
The manager Dalila and her team were amazing on our visit. Very speedy service and gave us a good seating space.Enjoyed the atmosphere.Thank you and we will defo be booking here again soon.
We were there yesterday and to have a beer now they make you a kind of menu with something to eat so that the place can be open. They served us a soup that was horrible to have with a beer (soup and beer does not make much logicthere was no other choice. At least since they force you to eat it would be nice if it was something appetizing. We paid £ 9 for a pint of beer as the soup was disgusting.
2 of us came here on the weekend, a pub I’ve always wanted to try. It looks really enticing because there are flowers for sale outside it. Not sure if it’s just next to a florist or the pub sells the flowers but it’s lovely. The tables were spaced out well to accommodate social distancing but our table didn’t look like it had been cleaned properly. There was also some rubbish on the seats. The front of the pub gets lots of sunlight and was a really pleasant place to have a drink. Will come again.
Absolutely delicious menu with kind staff and great seating. The bar is old but well taken care of, nice seating near a fireplace was nice as well. The food was delicious and came out quickly. The fish and chips are little expensive to only include one piece of fish, otherwise perfect!
New to the area and planned to have welcome drinks and dinner with friends. Recommended and looked welcoming. Alas quickly turned away by the surly bar man as we had our two house trained and silent cavaliers with us. Fortunately we gather there are quite a few dog friendly pubs in our area.
Great place to casual dinner and beers. Live music, good customer service, several options with beers.
This is one of the very few pubs in the vicinity that’s not a Greene King. Good pints of Guinness can be found here.
The food in the restaurant is very tasty. The menu card is already on the table. Orders are placed at the bar. The waiters are friendly and helpful. A glass of water fell over and the waiters were there very quickly and wiped the water off the table.
On a late Sunday evening we were looking for a place where we could grab some dinner, and we came across this pub. They served us some delicious food despite it being so late, some live music was playing in the background and our waiter (Markuswas very nice and friendly, which altogether turned this into a lovely evening.
Food was nice, but no dairy free milk and only one vegan option, Roast Vegetable Stack / a wobbly block of tofu on top
Just perfect! People are great, staff is perfect and plates are just .. GREAT! If you pass by London not hesitate to have a night there ! Live music are so good !
Delicious foods and drinks. A friendly staff and quick service. A tidy and pleasant pub in general!
One of the more spacious pubs around. Good atmosphere. Good clean washrooms on ground floor. Good selection of beers and ales on tap. There were three large TV screens with two showing live world cup football and one showing Wimbledon tennis. Great for sports fans.
What an experience! Came here for the live music & this is how I was greeted. Lights at Christmas and a lovely bit of food! Definitely give this place a go!
