Modern venue at Hilton Bentley offering big portions of Italian steakhouse fare & a happening scene.
Bread was good my pasta was below average. Disappointing
The special $65 seafood pasta!. So spicy you can’t even eat it. Tomato sauce was sweet. Home made spaghetti were over cooked and watery..Clams linguine garlic w/ olive oil and white wine even worse. Tasteless!!!Portions are huge but quality is terrible. This is not Italian food standard. When you pretend to be a high end Italian restaurant hire at least an Italian chef!!We always go to CALL ME GABY next door, But it was fully booked and packed. we tried PRIME ITALIAN that was empty. I understand why now….I must say the service was perfect. Our waitress was great but not enough for the value.
Worse experience ever! A/C not working, terrible service,. We reserved the restaurant to celebrate my daughters 18 bday. We were a party of 7 and during the check-in, nobody mentioned the A/C issue. During the dinner, my mother who has high blood pressure, was not feeling well, and our waiter told us that he couldnt do anything (actually he couldnt care less). The waiter of the table next to us, was observing the situation, came with some iced water and asked how my mom was feeling. To make this long story short, I had to take my mom home, my family was finishing the "dinner" and their desserts with ice cream came melted... Dont spend your money, time and health in this place.
Great food. Very intimate inside. We went for Miami Spice 2022 and really enjoyed ourselves. The fried oreos were amazing
Delicious we had dinner here, servers were excellent!!
Amazing as usual. The food is so good the garlic cheese bread is amazing. Excellent service. The meatball is so good a definitely.
EAT SOMEWHERE ELSE!! If youre thinking of coming here for Miami Spice, think again. I should preface that Ive been eating here for over 3 years, and normally love the food, service, and ambiance. Decided to come in tonight to try the Miami Spice menu, and had a completely different experience. For starters, once I told the server we were doing this, her entire attitude changed. She took our drink menus away without asking, assuming we wouldnt want to order any. When the bread arrived, we noticed it was half of the normal portion. We were told that since we were doing Miami Spice, we would receive less bread. This makes zero sense, and costs then more in labor to remove 2 slices of bread. We asked her to speak with a manager to ascertain if we could get the full size loaf, to which they asked that we pay an extra $10. We simply got the check, left, and walked 20 yards to Santorini. Id suggest you do the same, and avoid this place altogether. Horrible attitudes and customer service.
AMAZING !!!! Omg everything was incredible ! The service, the food and the views. The complimentary garlic bread is delicious. Table was constantly being cleaned, refreshed on water and checked on. They even packed our leftovers! I ordered chicken parmigiana and laughed as soon as the plate came out … it’s HUGE ! Samples can for sure be shared. Fiancé and I had such an amazing dinner, I highly recommend you check out this restaurant!
I just ordered my food and already know it’s going to 5 stars. Excellent service.
Wasn’t expecting too much after the reviews but insisted on trying out this staple. Was surprisingly pleased with my experience! Service was great, most of the food didn’t disappoint me. My bf wasn’t a huge fan of the spaghetti and meatballs. Meatball was huge and lacked flavor and the sauce was on the sweeter side. My risotto was amazing! Garlic cheese bread & fried mozzeralla balls were great. Tuna tartare didn’t impress me. Lychee martini was good had to send back the pear cocktail because it looked like a cup of orange juice and tasted like it too.
Giving this 2 stars because the food is great, however the service was terrible! Our waiter was so rude and arrogant, he was even fighting with the busboys. To close out the night, we didnt eat the lasagna and asked for it to go and they never put it in the bag, when we got home, it wasnt there! What a shame they have such rude servers here! Never experienced this and very slow!
If you are looking for a fine dining Italian restaurant, this is the place to be. We had the Kobe meatball with ricotta as an appetizer and it was excellent. I also had the veal parmigiana and house made gnocchi which was fantastic. Our waitress, Katherine was great! Prime service and food at Prime Italian!
I have been eating here regularly and there are pros and cons. I think the food is very good and their cheese bread is to die for. Its usually good service for Miami too - with some serious exceptions. The cons are the operation does not seem service oriented. They refuse to split checks unless you split evenly and pay for someone elses meal, and they force you to sit in the sun despite having a patio on the side in the breezy shade that they regularly keep closed (because everyone should be unnecessarily sitting on top of each other during COVID while many tables sit empty - right?). They want everyone to sit upfront in their empty expensive restaurant to make it appear more populated than what it really is - which is literally torturing the few customers they do have in the hot Miami sun! Honestly - I dont know what these people are thinking some times! Their drinks and pours are shockingly dismal for South Beach fare as well. They dont seem grateful for regular business and theyre not interested in making you comfortable either! The staff also doesnt know how to use pepper mills. They will grind the pepper in one spot over your dish, leaving a 1" circle doused with pepper. Then theyll move to another spot and leave another 1" circle loaded with pepper. Its like common sense is not common here! Enjoy at your own peril - you may get a good meal and a nice waiter - but they may put you through some unnecessarily uncomfortable circumstances to get it too!
Food was decent, the bread was the best part, everything else was good but not incredible. The service on the other hand was HORRIBLE. Our waitress was rude from the moment we arrived, but we were at least getting waited on at that point. Then a group walked in that others in the restaurant knew. Our waitress was serving them as well and subsequently we did not see her after they walked in outside of seeing her at their table. Once the food runner brought our meals out and we ate we sat at our table for 40 minutes waiting for our left overs to be boxed and get our check. We ended up having to call over another waiter to get us our check.
This place needs more awards! Or maybe I just missed them. This tucked away land of magic has great food and great service. Our Cathy was great! The Food was Amazing! I urge you to leave room for dessert. The Lemon-drop Cocktail was delicious and possessed subtle flavors.
Food is always excellent and the service as well.
This place is amazing!! The service was great. I recommend the Rigatoni and Lasagna. Both were seasoned really well! The apple dessert was so delicious as well. Love this place. Go asap!
To begin our entrance was a waitress with a bad attitude almost like she didn’t want to be there. Then she made us order our appetizers and food together. Never been rushed in such way and ended up ordering something in a rush so we can get the appetizer. Appetizer was good. We had the scallops with short rib and truffled mash oh and the bread was very good. We all ordered pasta, disgusting dry pasta very bland with NO flavor. One dish was fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp and the shrimp was sent back because it was chewy like raw. The Risotto was cold and almost like a Spanish dessert “ arroz con leche” Horrible! For a bill of 379. For three people it’s just not worth it. Secretos restaurant in Kendall does a delicious Risotto and amazing pasta with happy employees willing to attend to you.
Its no the elevated prices, im fine paying high bills when they match the food. Ordered, chicken parm, king salmon, parmesan risotto and a pepperoni pizza, plus mashed potatoes and french fries. Never been this disapointed with food. Everything was so bad, tasteless. I was the whole time trying to understand how something that expensive tasted so bad. The only thing GREAT is the garlic bread with the sauce. It was incredible i ordered and extra one. That gave me so much hype to taste the food. But no, huge disapointment. Do not recomend.
Came for my friends 4/20 birthday. Immensely enjoyed the Chilean Sea Bass. Kat was a great server that didn’t hover, yet was readily available for all my needs. Loved the oysters!!!!
Excelente prime very good experience food was really good bar service excellent beautiful bar tender
1st class dining. Personally Socrates, my waitor was perfect on recommendations on food and drinks. He even dealt in a manner of professionalism with a very difficult an entitled party of 3 women who were very disrespectful. This is a fine dining establishment and if you are ever so lucky to be looked after by Socrates, you will be in for a great evening.
This was my first time visiting Prime Italia. I read great reviews regarding the delicious food and atmosphere so I decided to try it out.I started with a Sangria with Red wine along with an appetizer to get things started jumbo lump crab Cake 🦀The house cheese bread with marinara was delicious and for my main course, I ordered the spicy rigatoni. The service was amazing! Thank you to Robert who is the bar manager. I will eat here again 😊
Dinner at Prime Italian was 7/10! I enjoyed the 16oz bone in filet more than anything. Prime Italian and Prime 112 tend to bring out lukewarm sides, which doesn’t make them as appetizing as they should be. I didn’t like the Raspberry cocktail that I had and definitely should’ve went with something less bitter. The creamed corn was fair :/
Went here to celebrate bday, restaurant was packed, we’re seated outside when we got a table inside, waitress wasn’t much to the service, difficult to get his attention, quite arrogant. Food was good, dessert was very good. But could have enjoyed more if it wasn’t for those details. Prices were a bit off but guess it’s SOBE.
I went to Prime Italian to celebrate my daughter’s 25th birthday for the first time. The food was incredible. I got the seafood ravioli, it was filling , tasty and the presentation was lovely. The atmosphere was chic and all around awesome. The staff was friendly and attentive. I can’t stop talking about this place and look forward to coming back on my next trip to Miami.
Food was great service was terrible, woman server with the glasses greeted our tables as if she looked down at us as if we werent worthy enough to eat there. Our group was completely foreshadowed by the awful service.
I frequent here often because the food is great. However, it wasn’t until today that I experienced RACISM from their staff. A hostess refused to sit my party of 3 at a table we requested when the restaurant was completely empty. We arrived at 6pm. We were told by the hostess we couldn’t sit there because they “may get a large party and the table opens up for a party of 6 so they save the table just in case”….cool story…15 mins later the hostess sat a party of 4 at the table we asked for!The only real difference between the party of 4 and my party of 3…they were white.I asked the hostess for a manager. I waited because she said “ok” ….A manager didn’t come until 30 Mins later after i requested my waiter to get one. TERRIBLE way to treat customers in my opinion. Especially because NO ONE could give me an HONEST answer as of to why we couldn’t sit at the table we wanted. When I spoke to the manager he told me that “the party specially requested the table”...which I know isn’t true because I talked to them prior to him taking 30 mins to get to the table….And they didn’t even have a reservation. The manager took care of an appetizer and a dessert HE sent to the table….not even something we ordered. Our waiter was phenomenal…a gentleman amongst gentlemen. However, my recommendation…Hire new management and get a new hostess. They both LIED to me multiple times tonight and that just weird! Or RACIST… I’ll let you decide.
Fun spot to come to for a traditional Italian dinner. The portions are very big. Plan on sharing or come very hungry. The taste of the meals were good but far from the best traditional red sauce Italian I have had.
Amazing food and service. The portion sizes were impressive. We will definitely return to this diamond on the beach!
The food is delicious, the presentation and the preparation is impeccable. The wait staff was extremely friendly and attentive. An amazing evening where no detail was overlooked. The steak was done perfectly and the rest of the sides were delicious. Another evening of delicious gastronomy.
Prime 112 is a really good steak house. Prime Italian across the road poses as an Italian but is really a steak house. With the exception of a few Italian items the menu is the same as Prime 112. We chose supposedly Italian items and were very very disappointed. The pasta was nothing like you would expect in Italy…very heavy and at $65 for a plate of ravioli was not cheap! It didn’t help that we were placed next to a table of guys who were swearing profusely and very loudly. All in all a restaurant that tries to be something in name that it clearly is not in reality. My suggestion to the management would be go to Italy and see how they do it if you are going to call yourself an Italian restaurant.
Went here for the first time and was truly impressed. The decor is amazing. The service is efficient. The bread with marinara can be an appetizer I. Itself. We had the fried buffala with tomatoes and the spicy rigatoni a la vodka. Let me tell you. Absolutely divine. I’ve had many experiences where food just didn’t live up to itself. This place did. Surprisingly, prices are very reasonable as well, considering it is on ocean drive. Definitely will return.
Came here for Brunch menu is limited better off sticking to dinner. Good drink tho
Five stars isnt enough for this restaurant! First, THE CHEESE BREAD!!!! Its honestly the most amazing thing you will ever put in your mouth. The fact that they give you the first one free is insane because I would pay anything for that bread. We had Noah as our server and he was immaculate. Extremely patient with us and made sure we were always taken care of. Everyone at our table had their lychee martinis and that were perfect! I ordered the chicken parmigiana, which was no lie bigger than two of my head. My sister ordered the Kobe meatball and spaghetti and loved it! The lobster Mac and cheese had chunks of tender lobster in it! We finished off our meal with their tiramisu that was divine! Im usually great at taking pictures, but as soon as the food hit the table it was too tempting to wait! I was honestly shocked by the amount of food that you get. Everyone in my party left with leftovers for 2 days! If you want some of the best Italian food in south Florida, then RUN to prime Italian!
We get there 5 minutes early at 7:25 for a 7:30 reservation. The hosts decided to give us a huge ego and pretend like our reservation wasn’t even in their books. Once they find out reservation they ask us to wait outside. Once we are outside we wait for 30 minutes. At 8:00 I ask them what’s going on, for them to tell me it’s going to be another 30 minutes. At this point I should have walked out and found somewhere else, but we stayed and found ourselves eating overpriced food. 35 dollar lobster truffle pasta with no real truffles only truffle oil and also the food took over an hour to arrive because they forgot to ring our food up. They then offer us free Oreos for our troubles but then forget to ring it up twice, prolonging our time at the restaurant. At this point it is 10:15 and we’re exhausted and they bring us the check. We decided to give a lower than average tip as a result of the nonexistent service. Then the waiter gave us a huge attitude because he knew we gave a low tip, laughing at us like some peasants.
Great Outdoor Seating. Delicious food! David the server is Awesome! Portions are huge. The hash browns in my opinion were incredible. This is a must go! And ask for David!
Terrible experience. I took my family there for Thanksgiving dinner. What a disappointment. As soon as we sat down our waiter gave us attitude. My daughter asked for a special meal and was told flat out No. I had to get the manager over to have him tell the chef to make it for her. I ordered chicken milano. It was overcooked, dry. lacked flavor, and bland. It came with a salad. The salad was no better. I had to ask for mariana sauce for the chicken and oil and vinegar for the salad to at least make it taste somewhat descent. Way overpriced for the quality of the food. The only good thing was the portion sizes were huge. Save your money and eat somewhere else.
Great place for families. And the servers are so nice and professional. We loved it. Try the big red saddle couch for a party of 10+
Great food and drinks. Staff was pleasant and friendly. Valet parking on the side. Very nice experience. Pricey so bring your wallet....
This is an American style Italian restaurant. It’s all about the red sauce and the massive portions. Overall it’s pretty good. I had a Philly cheesesteak and a side of angel hair pasta. The portions could have fed 3 people.
My first time at prime Italian and I loved it, started off with calamari appetizer which was fantastic (so my friends said, I don’t eat seafoodand shots of chilled don julio for the table. For my main course I had the filet, butterfly cut. (I know, I know, don’t judge meand a side of Mac and cheese. I loved the whole meal and was left full and satisfied. With no room for dessert, we had another round of chilled shots of Julio and continued our night. Amazing dinner, would definitely recommend.
Had the most wonderful experience dining with friends. It has been a long week in miami and it’s just Wednesday but when we finally arrived at Prime Italian all my stress swept away with my first cocktail. The shrimp scampi was exactly the remedy to my misery and I definitely can’t wait to treat myself to an enjoyable self recovery dinner again.
Easy location to get to. Don’t know much about parking since I took a Lyft. Wasn’t crowded when we went. Got seated right away. Cocktails are decent. The bread was amazing!!! Best bread - had garlic, crispy cheese on top and lots and lots of butter!!! I could have just eaten this for dinner lolOrdered sea bass - one of the best that I’ve had. Not too salty or buttery. It was perfect with the accompaniments and their yummy sauce.Ordered salmon - was ok. The accompaniment salad was more tasty and impressive than the salmon.Their meat balls were juicy and phenomenal according to my friend. Lol. Basically — Amazing food! Would recommend when you come to Miami. Not hungry!?? Just get a cocktail and then munch on their amazing bread... I miss that bread!
Very good. Fried mozzarella, meatball and roasted cauliflower were all appetizers and very good. Waiter was very good.
What can I say about eating here , Its one of the greatest experiences you have to try. Eating outside on the porch beautiful weather. The food is spectacular you feel like you could be in a different country, Probly the best meatball Ive ever had... Love it here its the best..
Youre paying for the name and location. The food was good, not great, at least not compared to NYC/NJ Italian food. The scallops and short rib were good. The line beef sliders were mediocre, not that juicy...I expected way better. The carbonara was mehhhhhh, which really hurt my feelings. I feel like it should of been out of this world after all the good things I hear about this place but I guess not. I dont know if Id go back, Id have to be really willing to overspend for medicore food.
Service was great and the food was delicious. The lobster bisque had a lot of lobster inside it.
Miami Spice 2018: back again and the food is delicious as ever. Everyone loved everything we ordered- some would even go as far as to say it was the best Miami Spice meal of the year.Highly recommend: Tuna appetizer, branzino, spaghetti and Kobe meatball, and fried oreos.Miami Spice 2017: the food is absolutely delicious. Everything we ordered was very tasty, the service was great, and the ambiance is comfortable- not too loud, nice lighting. We will definitely be back to try more of the menu!
Had a good time here with friends food was good as always. I wasnt to impressed with the lasagna but everything cant be perfect service good as always only complaint i had was when it came time to pay the waitress brought one of those portable charging station they have now and proceeded to count out cash in the middle of our conversation which in my opinion is not necessary and should have been done in the back as to not ruin the little vibe we had going to close the night especially after spending $480 but as i said everything cant be perfect.
