Husband said it was the best steak hes ever had. Great place for our 50th anniversary.

It was a nice experience and we learned that its named after Jerry West because he went to West Virginia University.

Food is great, service is better. But what is best was the Diet Coke. Top shelf.

Absolutely fabulous food. There was nothing that could have been better, from the escargot and salad to the filet, lobster mashed potatoes to the dessert souffle. Service was very good. Why only 3 stars, you ask? The noise level and behavior of the clientele was abysmal and ruined the whole experience. Not sure if it can be blamed on acoustics, a full house, or just the loud, crass behavior, but it certainly ruined our experience. Expected better at the Greenbrier.

The restaurant is located inside the Greenbrier, a very elegant resort. However, the restaurant disappointed us very much. My wife ordered wagyu and had high expectations. Unfortunately, it turned out a total disaster: the beef was chewy, messy, tasteless, unpleasantly fatty, and it was nowhere near the normal taste acceptable for any beef, let alone wagyu. Weve been to Japan many times to try Wagyu beef (Kobe specifically), so we know exactly what wagyu should be. If a restaurant dares to claim it can serve wagyu, the cook should at least know what he is doing.One star is for the waiter, he is friendly.

Good food nice service.

First time eating at Prime 44 West I was expecting better food and presentation. I was served cold crab cakes, which were replaced, and my husband ordered an 8 oz filet, which was wonderful, but it was served on a large oval plate. Just the steak sitting there by itself... all alone, in the middle of the plate. The side dishes are served family style, which I find odd, regardless of our current health issues. Even with green beans and mashed potatoes, it was very a underwhelming meal. Truly, I was disappointed.

As always, the best meal of my life! Had the 44 oz "nothing nut net" filet for two, lobster mashed potatoes, and Brussels sprouts. Staff, atmosphere, and quality of food is epic.

We ate here during a trip to pick some bourbon at Smooth Ambler. Part of 5 was seated promptly and drink orders taken. We all ordered steak and I am fairly certain ALL of the sides. Everything came out perfectly done and there were no complaints amongst any in the group. I/We will certainly return! Food was so good, I did not take any pictures

We first ate there with relatives and it was a very kind gesture but we found it unworthy of the high amounts that were requested on the menuThe brussel sprouts were burned and the trout was ill preparedThe next time we tried the steaks were prepared well but the salmon tasted old and was badly preparedThe staff was wonderful and friendly but our meals were less worthy of the high amount of the bill

Waaaay overpriced for what you get. $90 waygu filet was not correctly cooked and had an "off" taste (like sour, starting to go bad). Told waiter who (in broken Englishexplained that it was supposed to taste that way and offered no recourse. French fries and shoestring onions were delicious as was the French onion soup. Award winning corn bread was too crumbly to eat. Healthy pours of wines by the glass.

I had a wonderful meal - Atlantic halibut. This restaurant is a beautiful tribute to Jerry West.

Not consistent, food is generally good but for what you pay it should be superior to Texas Roadhouse

Quality food. Great atmosphere

We ate here while staying at The Greenbrier. The menu is very expensive, and this 8oz filet steak by itself was over $50, $4 for the Black Truffle Butter, and $12 for a 2-person side dish of Creamed Spinach the steak was cooked beautifully and the Black Truffle Butter was amazing. Nothing here was salted at all in any way. The creamed spinach is not good, and simply tastes like watered down cooked spinach. I enjoyed the steak but not for the price. The bread given was very good, but they do not offer more after your first basket. It is also extremely loud in here, and the waiting staff will not quiet down rude parties. It wasn’t a great experience and I don’t plan on visiting this restaurant again when I return to The Greenbrier.

It is extremely overpriced and over-hyped! The steak is premium and was well prepared but the service was unsatisfactory for "The Greenbrier" standards. If someone spends $300 for a meal for 2, it better be the best! And it was far from it...the lobster mashed potatoes tasted like instant spuds (waterymashed potatoes and certainly not worth $24. Unfortunately it was a very underwhelming experience.

Great food and impeccable service. Not only did they have cloth napkins 😉but when they seated my wife they swapped out her white napkin with a black one to match her dress!

The experience was wonderful. The food was perfect, the staff extremely pleasant and a beautiful atmosphere.

My waitress was kind, pleasant, helpful but dealing with what appeared to be an antiquated on line order system and too many tables at once. It took forever to even order a cocktail, but once ordered, it promptly arrived. The wine list was limited and both of the cabs that I picked were out of stock. The Jerry West pick salad, while tasty, was loaded with wilted lettuce, the overpriced NY strip was perfectly prepared but average at best. And, the supposedly outstanding lobster mashed potatoes were way overrated, way overpriced, and, for me, not nearly as good as a loaded baked potato for half the price at any decent steakhouse. I hope management takes my review to heart...I would be pleased to see this Greenbrier restaurant live up to its reputation.

Intimate setting with great staff and best food.

For the price I was expecting fantastic food and knock your socks off service. Food was very good but service was mostly indifferent. Had the feeling that staff didn’t care whether we were there or not

We dined here on 8/8/20 to celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary. We were so disappointed. The service was absolutely horrible. I have never been to a nice restaurant and been so ignored as I was here. No waiter greeted us once we were sat. Someone came by and threw bread on our table then left. It took twenty minutes for someone to come back to take our drink order, then another twenty for someone to come take our food order. It was never the same waiter. I’m not sure if our bad service was a fluke or not, because I overheard another table be sat and have a waiter come over and greet them, explain the specials, etc. No one did that for us. My husband called the next day to explain our experience and left a message and asked for a manager to call us back, but no one ever returned our call. Do yourself a favor and dine elsewhere when visiting the Greenbrier.

We enjoyed an exceptional meal here. The chicken I ordered and the steak my wife ordered, were perfect. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I believe this is where we had the bacon bread, which was new to me and possibly the most sinful bread I have ever eaten. In fact I preferred the bacon bread to the corn bread.

I’ve eaten at Prime 44 in the past and feel the restaurant has gone down hill in recent years. For the price paid the service was subpar. As an example we had French Onion soup and when our meals came out our bowls were shoved aside vs removed to make room for our meals. Even at Bob Evans they do a better job. My wife wore a black dress and was handed a white napkin that linted all over her black dress. And the restaurant needs some TLC, the carpet is faded and bubbling. The food overall was mixed. French Onion Soup and Sea Bass were amazing. Peach Chicken was ok. And Banana Foster for desert was subpar. For a fancy $200+ meal, I felt like I did not get close to the money paid.

Absolutely hands-down one of the best experiences. I had a New York strip that was probably the best steak I’ve ever eaten. The big hit was the baked potato. And I’ve been looking all over the Internet to find the recipe!

Cant beat Prime 44 West for great food, super service and a romantic atmosphere. The steaks are cooked to perfection - my favorite is the bone-in ribeye. The table side Caesar salad is both entertaining and delicious. Also, dont sleep on the lobster mashed potatoes!

Great steakhouse at The Greenbrier.

Outstanding quality of food, great atmosphere, friendly and attentive service, and wide selection of dishes.Bone in ribeye was just as tender and flavorful as you could dream. Sides were cooked just right: sweet potatoes, brussel sprouts, lobster potato, and roasted carrots.Vegetarian wife loves it, and two younger (2 &4kids devoured their meal. All of the Greenbrier had awesome food, but this is our favorite. Pricey, bit well worth it.Nice folks who want to get it right, with the food to brag about.

Most tender filet mignon we have ever had anywhere, fantastic Colorado lamb chops and Lobster mash potatoes. Great service!

Our waitress was very nice, the decor inside and as you enter the dining room is very nice, the new York strip was good, and the sweet potato casserole was excellent! 20% hist pres fund was added to cost without your permission.

My wife and I both had Beef Filets and asparagus cooked perfectly, and lobster mashed potatoes which were the best mashed potatoes we have ever eaten. The restaurant was very full , but our food arrived quickly. Our waitress Tammie Hoover provided the best service. She is a real gem and you are very fortunate to have her on your staff. The BEST !! Ask for her , you will not be dissappointed
