Casual Italian chain restaurant for stone-baked pizzas and classic pastas, plus separate kids' menu.
The food is to die for !!! Love it love it love it. CALZONE ❤️
Good restaurant. Pizzas and burgers are good. Nice staff.
Extremely good in all ways. I do love all prezzos.
Shocking experience chased out from entering, kept mentioning the electric bill, deeply uncomfortable dining experience which is a shame as the food would have been nice were it not so rushed and bullied. Won’t be returning.
This place is terrible. I ordered the crab and lobster ravioli on Deliveroo and I onlyGot 4 ravioli bits.. no sauce noPrawn.. garlic bread was rock hard.
Excellent food and good value for money. Waitress Maisie was very efficient friendly and ensured we were happy with our food and drinks 😊
Very very friendly lovely staff very efficient and nice food
Amazing service and amazing food. Will highley recomend
Waitress Maisie was extremely smiley and knowledgeable in the menu would highly recommend the food is amazing
We ordered chilly crab and lobster ravioli it was very bland no spice at all and it was hunt the lobster, very disappointed 😑
Asked for booth told not available yet later saw spaces so sat near bar area very noisy and will not return. Service terrible.
the food here is perfect, i couldn’t find a single thing to complain about and the waiting service is superb only thing that could make it better is if i had more money to buy more food
Food has gone down hill. Limited menu and poor service.
I’ve been a vegetarian for 14 years. I ordered the Chicken Alfredo (so did my friendhowever I ordered the vegetarian version. The waitress brought our food over and specified that the one she gave to me was vegetarian. It was only after chewing it that I realised I was eating chicken, I felt physically sick. Luckily I was not allergic, but although I’ve not been physically affected by this I definitely am mentally and emotionally. We were not offered any money off of our bill, nor did we get an apology from the waitress who served the food or the manager who was walking around the restaurant. Safe to say that I will not be going back.
Very good service and food as usual from Prezzo. Lovely table over looking courtyard. Special thanks to Brooke for looking after us and making my daughters birthday special. Great food and variety.
Best calamari I’ve had!! Been here a few times and the starters have been amazing every time but unfortunately the mains don’t live up to the expectations. Pastas don’t have enough sauce and pizzas are too dry. The calzone wasn’t too bad. Overall, the starters are great but mains need to be improved.
Unfortunately the dishes werent great on this visit, the calzone was undercooked and I ended up leaving most of it. The pasta was OK but nothing special. Waiters were friendly. Have been there a while back and it was good, so maybe a bad night for them. Dont dismiss just on this review.
We had a lovely meal, nice and helpful staff. Good food. Felt covid safe. A big thumbs up 👍.
Nice food, good company, due to being full the service was a bit slow, but did not deter us from enjoying ourselves.
OK but although restaurant not busy food was not very hot when it arrived and portions a bit small for amount charged.
Service was outstanding.Food was good, but mainly dish lacked a decent portion of chicken which was disappointing.
Arrived for a pre-booked birthday meal to find they had to rearrange tables to accommodate us. Lots of tables in the restaurant but they sat us by the bar which was noisy and cold. Had to ask for menus. Starter was ok.main course arrived eventually. 2 dinners were cold so we sent them back. Came back out dripping in fat and the other congealed on the edge and cold in the middle. Asked for fresh meals which arrived after the rest of us had finished eating. 1 meal out of 5 was ok. Asked for dessert menu. 25 minutes later we gave up waiting to order and got the bill. Very very disappointed. Really gone downhill.
Always a good atmosphere and food generally pretty good but this last visit 4 of us chose the lasagna and all had very upset stomachs for the next 24 hours
Warm welcome, excellent customer service and food. Let down by desert ice cream being a small tub like at theatreNot what I would expect to in a restaurant.
The food was fine, nothing that makes you want to hurry back. The service, although very polite and friendly, was extremely slow. We had three children (including a toddlerand a two course meal had us sat for over two hours. At lunch time. When the restaurant was at less than half capacity.
Calamari starter awesome definitely worth going back for, pizza not great considering its an Italian restaurant. Very dry and not great deal of toppings had to drench in chilli oil to make bearable. Service was fantastic though!
DisappointingBooked to go with a friend when we arrived was told that the restaurant was busy so might be a wait for food. Told there was no chicken available on the menu.Sat down on a table and waited half an hour to been even served. Then told again there was a long wait for food. When asked how long, to waiter said, “He didn’t know” when pressed more he said about an hour.We explained we had already been waiting half an hour to even be served. Decided to leave and go to the Turkish restaurant across the road Hazel Meze Bar. Served straight away, food within half an hour. Will not be returning to prezzo
Absolutely amazing service! We were so well looked after. We were there to celebrate my birthday and a belated 100th birthday! The manager was so accommodating and came over to check on us throughout the evening. They were so pleased to have a 100th birthday being celebrated there, they took a picture to commemorate the occasion. We were gifted with 2 bottles of Prosecco and can honestly say it was such a pleasant evening. Thank you so much for making our birthdays so special.
Just order from justeat. Half my order arrives then I’m expecting to sit on the phone for 15min to just eat and get a refund as the restaurant can’t be bothered to send someone out with the rest. The whole reason for a takeout is to have a nice experience. Unfortunately this experience has been terrible all over a missing item. As I was expected to sit on the phone to sort out a issue that wasn’t even mind. Ridiculous, someone seriously needs to change your policy’s as you’ve just lost a customer.
Had the pleasure of eating here in person a number of times before the pandemic. We were craving Italian and figured wed try their take away. The food arrived lukewarm and seemed to be completely different in taste and appearance from the sit in experience weve had in the past. The spaghetti bolognese in particular seemed like it may have been some kind of microwave food and did not taste good.I hope that once were allowed to I can amend this review based on the dine in experience.
Absolutely shocking!!!!in these times of rare smiles we decided as a family to have a treat and get a takeaway pizza and trimmings from the Rayleigh restaurant for my wife’s birthday. What a mistake , pizzas were dry and tasteless, the box was biodegradable I don’t think the pizza was, toppings were sparse and thrown on with no thought or love . If this is the heart of Italian cooking I don’t think I’ll be visiting any time soon
Visited during lockdown on fantastic meal deal offer. Staff polite and good service. Odd upstairs toilet with kitchen door open at the top as staff watch you climb them is a little unnerving.
Ordered a click and collect today. Food was good. Burger was great, suprised at how big the chicken steak actually was.
Used voucher with set Sunday menu, gobsmacked how nice it was. Staff outstanding, and very covid complaint.Definitely going again.
Whole experience was really good. All staff wore masks and customers needed to wear masks when not at the table. Food was really nice (as always), waitresses were polite, and attentive when it was needed. Basically a very nice evening. Thank you
Had a meal here tonight with my Daughter and grandson. It was very comforting to see the staff wearing masks and visors, it made us feel at ease. It was worrying that the staff were mixing with everyone in the resturant and it was nice to see them making the effort with masks and visors 5 STAR. Also as always the food was fantastic, the service and staff were spot on, Thnx
Saturday night for my dads birthday. A very busy evening. Had birthday prosecco voucher which could not be used in conjunction with Tesco vouchers. Waitress aware of vouchers but did not make us aware that they could not then also be used with the 2/3 course menu! So we then all had to revisit the menu. Food was lovely but service not at its best. They need to be more aware of offers available and advise guests accordingly. Had better evenings at Prezzos I must say!
Absolutely love the decor of this restaurant! The spinach and chicken salad is always a hit. Best to visit on a warm day and sit on the patio. I will say the toilets are a bit odd as you have to walk up quite a lot of stairs and the stall itself is very small.
Had a great meal on a Sunday afternoon.Nice fresh food, attentive, friendly staff & a nice dining experience. If I could gripe about anything, no hot spicy dishes on offer - So would like to see a little more variation added to the menu.
Always a nice place to have a meal. Staff are attentive but can take a bit of time sometimes as I don’t think they quite have enough staff for the amount of people. Food is always good though 👍
Me and my family (Eight in totalrecently had a meal here on a monday. Had to say it wasnt nice at all. We waited 45 minutes to be asked if we wanted a drink, only after our starters, and mains came out were we asked for additional drinks and it was only because my son wanted Juice and we prompted the staff that we got another round, which took 20 minutes to pour. The best part of the meal was the starters, mainly because we were all so hungry by the time they actually came out, followed by the mains not long after... the portions were all over the place. Prezzo also automatically include their 12.5% service charge, which based on their actual service was not justified at all! We were asked to leave around 10 due to closing... We arrived at 7:30. I was a bit shocked by the manger due to the fact we had waited long enough for the opening service. Most restaurants would ask "can I get you any drinks while you wait". We got. Your table is here.Defiantly wont be coming here again any time soon.Only saving grace they actually prepared the birthday cake for us.
Lovely venue and really friendly staff. I ordered the salmon which came with vegetables swimming in a creamy sauce. It took up the whole plate. Apparently that’s how they serve it but it’s advertised as salmon and veg with sauce, not salmon perched on a bed of veg swimming in sauce. We also ordered olives which they charged us for yet they never arrived.
We have eaten here as a family a few times and we do enjoy it. My husband enjoys the pepperoni pizza and I love the sea bass. The kids menu I think is a good deal and my daughter always enjoys it and even knows the order of what comes to her! Great that they have good number of high chairs as we have visited at peak times when other families with kids are also eating. I have also tried their pasta bolognese and it was decent. Will keep coming back!
Been here previously and loved it but they must have new management or other changes.Terrible evening at this place not going again! The staff showed attitude on arrival, I booked in advance no issue there. The food on all four plates was either badly burnt or tasted bland! For example, how does hummus not have garlic in, bland! All food was sent back not edible mainly because it was hard, dry and burnt, received more attitude and then on finishing, they tried to seriously over charge me.They did apologise for mistake on receipt, however, the whole experience was terrible and rate this place now 1 star.
Nice building tastefully lit. Friendly and professional staff. Tasty well presented food although some ingredients lack a little flavour, food really well presented. Great offers on the website for Money off, free beer and wine and good value set meals.
Lovely food and atmosphere, the building really suits the setting and is lovely.on this occasion my food arrived late on the starter and mainIt was handled excellently by the staff and I was reimbursed for my food and given a free drink, mistakes always happen, how you deal with them is what sets you apart, it is rare to find such an appropriate response without Even having to complain first.I would not hesitate to go here againHighly recommended.
Ill keep it as brief as possible. 7 pm on a Thursday evening and it was really busy, the mark of a good restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious, piping hot and really nice, polite, friendly staff who came across as genuinely interested in making sure everything was OK. All nice and clean and tables cleared promptly as other customers left. Bi fold doors onto an external terrace if you fancy eating outside. We will definitely return and would also recommend this place to friends and family. We found a vouchercloud deal which gave us 30% off the bill so its worth checking if you are dining here, our total bill was £46 for 3 courses and drinks....brilliant. Please see my photos. Dont be put off by the scaffolding, its only temporary while they update the outside of the building. Thanks for reading 👍😀
Great food, good service, fitted us in without a booking. One big negative for us was that we had a wheelchair user with us, they have got a portable ramp but it does not cover both steps and it was steep to pull a 85kg man over
Food is good and atmosphere is nice but staff need training. Part of service, even when busy, is to make diners feel welcome, relaxed and comfortable. I have been on many occasions and at peak times the service falls well short of these parameters. Service is hurried and staff often look harrassed. Better organisation or training will improve this lovely restaurant.
The food I ordered was nice enough, but there wasnt a great range of options for Vegan. And information about the dishes seemed hard for the waitress to find out, or the chef to alter. The waitress we had also appeared to be over worked and therefore made us feel a little uncomfortable to ask information or alterations to our food.. Dont think well be going back anytime soon.Had a question regarding wheel chair access, whilst you can get a chair in, it is a very tight space, narrow main door.. tables close together.
